Entertainment Center Wall System - Cinnamon Cherry Finish

Entertainment Center Wall System - Cinnamon Cherry FinishLike a previous reviewer said it is very time consuming with all the pieces and yes it's not as heavy as 300 lbs, but it's still quite heavy. It is laminate and it is very dark. If you're looking for something like this in black, it's not very far off. It's customizable with other pieces I found and it's very easy to move once set up. I wish the hole in the back was larger but that can be worked with. With help, I had no problem setting it up, it just requires time and a couple of screwdrivers. And by the way, if you can't lift 120 lbs by yourself, get it delivered. Don't pick it up at the local fed ex. I had to drag it up stairs with another person. I could easily see someone without that help being left with no way to move it. For what it is, it looks good and it has a mount on the back to anchor it to the wall if you need to. It has a very nice, modern look to it.

I just recently bought this unit 2 weeks ago. Extremely durable for how light it is. The side and top panel are made of a very light solid wood but is durable because they are about 2 & 1/2 inches thick so it really adds the stability to the lighter weight. Thanks again IKEA......

The price before shipping is reasonable. The unit was quite a few pieces so a little stressful getting it assembled but once done it for nicely. We have a baby who's now crawling so I strongly urge parents to consider finding an anchored entertainment center or an anchoring system for this one as it isn't super stable if pulled on by little ones

For the price I would rather shovel out another $100 and get a piece of furniture with some real wood in it. For those that said it was easy to put together, yes it was but you have to make sure you have exactly the right side pieces count those holes because they look identical but they aren't, and once you put a screw in and take it out you'll have particle board showing which makes it look cheap. Also there was a random hole cutout on the very top which was strange, I can't imagine putting the DVD player or Cable box on the top with cords handing down the back exposed, but I think that's the only option. It takes a very long time to put together. It's not a solid piece of furniture by any means, we thought it looked way too cheap for our living room so we decided to hide it in the bedroom because I couldn't get any friends to take it off our hands, they weren't impressed either. With both of us picking it up to move it, not dragging it at all, the screws popped out of one side & more finish was broken off, revealing the particle board. I took it in the hallway and karate chopped it to pieces & threw it in the dumpster. I didn't even have to unscrew most of the large pieces they just pulled apart. The side shelves were narrow & tall & spaced far apart it would have looked funny putting books on them or a single frame or a large vase, and you can see the particle board and other hardware from the front which was cheap looking to me. Wasn't worth the time or the money at all. However, it did show up in a timely manner & had all the pieces, although some corners had been banged up from shipping which also meant those pieces had a lack of finish or particle board showing.

This is a nice entertainment center but it is particle board with a laminate cherry colored finish (very dark). Product details says shipping weight is 300lbs. The EC weighs approx 80lbs. Very time consuming to put together with alot of pieces. Looks pretty good when its done but I would rather not have the laminate finish. I would have sent it back if it was for the main living room but I am putting this in a bedroom.
