The dividers are very strong, but not bendable at all. If your wood shelves are almost one inch thick they don't fit. You'll need to accept that part of the wood (and paint, if available) will be scratched off, if you use force, strenghth and a hammer to insert those dividers). It is very unfortunate that Lynx Home Collection doesn't give this information. Can Amazon correct that for further customrers ?But they look good and are helpful in every closet.
