I would have given this 5 stars if it had not been for the shipping.

The shelves are really super! Went together smoothly and they are beautiful and sturdy. Love them!! We put them in our new kitchen pantry area as a 'chef's rack' where we got 'S' hooks and hung our pots and have our large holiday platters on the shelves.. Great!

We received our steel shelves on time; however, the packaging was horrible. I'm surprised any of the hardware pieces didn't fall out. It appeared this was taken off of a shelf like at Wal-Mart and shipped -rather than packing into another suitable shipping box. With the weight of this item, it clearly needed more substantial packing material. Both ends were ripped off and you could see almost the entire contents from both ends. Really careless and poor decision making on someone's part and should be corrected.

Although the shelves themselves weren't harmed, I believe we received them just in time before any real damage or loss of contents happened.

These wire shelves are truly heavy duty. Two of the shelves were damaged from shipping. I contacted the company and they had me forward my receipt from Amazon.com and then attach photos of the damage. The two shelves were shipped out pretty quickly. Works great now. The shelf support system is a bit tricky to get right though it's just plastic but seems to work well enough.

I purchased several shelving units for my garage. I LOVED the fact they were delivered right to my door. Don't know how I would have gotten them from store to car to garage otherwise (single older woman, yada yada). They work best to have two people for assembling. They are so sturdy I loaded each up with heavy boxes. These have wheels with breaks that work very well. Don't know that I plan to wheel them around a lot but this is great for when it is needed. Only reason I don't give these a 5 star is because once you set the shelf height it isn't easy to change.

I just spent about 30 minutes assembled this. Very simple to put together, just large. I assembled it on floor, then used two people to lift to standing position. The product itself seems fine. Although the packaging was completely torn open on both ends. One of the shelves was bent like an elephant had sat on it. I contacted Seville and they will replace the shelf at no cost. Just annoying to spend $150 and receive a damaged product. This one looked like it had already been assembled and returned to the store. Seems this is common.

NOTE: Mine arrived with a number of black plastic discs and scraps lose in the box. I thought these were damaged parts, but they were just scraps. CAUTION: They can plug up the holes in the shelving that the poles go through. Just knock them out.

TIP: You're instructed to assemble the two sections of pole first. I found it easier to assemble the bottom half completely, then added the top sections of the poles and upper shelving.
