Shelf on Wheels Expandable Kitchen Pantry Roll Out with Wheels

I have looked at several options as a pull out source for the bottom of my pantry as I have a few large bags of flour, sugar, salt, rice, beans..etc. This item had what I thought I was looking for, which was basically keeping food off the floor and having a way to slide the items out for use when needed. When I saw the picture of what this rack indeed was supposed to hold, I was sold. For $60 it has to be strong, and the pic has a watermelon, big bag of onions, bag of potatoes, 5lbs of sugar....surely this is sturdy, right? Wrong. Item is infinitely smaller than it seems, even expanded to it's fullest size. The caster wheels are cheap plastic and the metal bows down when heavy items are placed in the basket. The "wings" that expand bow down too so all heavier items need to be in the middle portion. Too much of a hassle to return so I am keeping it, but please find another product for this price. I think $30 tops would be a fair price for this, and I'm being generous.

I've been looking for a long time for a rolling shelf for a storage area at work. This seemed to fit the bill. However it is very flimsy and poorly made. It is definitely NOT worth the $65 (cost plus shipping). After assembly (not much to do but very awkward) I tried to put the items I wanted to store (boxes of coffee and plastic spoons, etc.). The weight of the boxes made it almost impossible for the wheels to roll. I guess it would be OK if you wanted to store a plastic bag of Cheerios or a box of cotton balls (the photo is misleading). It's too much trouble to send back (disassembly, repacking, paying to ship), which is probably what they're counting on. I'll try to find another use for it somewhere else, but I would recommend against anyone buying this shelf.

What a great idea for ground level storage. We keep our dry cat food containers on the floor of the pantry and this makes retrieving them a whole lot easier than trying to reack under the shelving that is just above it. Now we just grab the handle and it all glides out for easy access.
