Cardboard is fairly sturdy, holds large purses and able to stack light items on top without losing shape. However it takes up a LOT of space in the closet.

I read all the reviews and heard alot of complaints about this being cardboard and the price for cardboard. Well, this was a brilliant idea and the perfect solution to organizing all my handbags and, for me, so worth the pricey cardboard. It sits on a shelf above my hanging clothes in the closet and fits perfectly. It is easy to view all your purses and retrieve them, and it is sturdy.
