I received the bookcase well wrapped and within the estimated time. Putting this case together is somewhat complicated. The back of the cabinet is 2 large pieces of "wood" that is taped together. In the assembly process you have to attach two pieces together with tape. The tape comes with all of the parts. We put this on three separate times but the back keeps popping apart, which can be seen from the front. Even though the case itself is pretty and matches my other furniture perfectly, I wished I would have spent a little extra and bought a piece already assembled. For $500 this piece definitely isn't worth the hastle of having to pull the shelves from the wall and retaping over and over again.

At first I thought this was going to be a great piece for my bedroom. It was looking good until I put the back panel on. The back piece wasn't made wide enough, so when you screwed in the sides, it splintered the wood on the inside of the bookcase. No, I didn't screw them in crooked. In my opinion, if you're going to spend several hundred dollars on a bookcase, you may as well save yourself the aggravation and just pay the extra two hundred dollars and get it from a furniture store. Right now I'm wishing I had. The cabinet is beautiful and matches my cherry desk that I had purchased 2 years ago from a store close to me. It is well worth the money. If I had known at the time of purchase the quality I was getting and how well it matches my existing desk I would have spent a little more money and bought the large one actually still thinking about getting it.
