Very thin plastic veneer is vulnerable to dings and scrapes (arrived with one, despite intact packaging). With the black finish any flaws are particularly visible, though I just discovered a Sharpie works wonders ;-)

Stoppers to cover screw holes were hard plastic pegs that wouldn't stay put

So, fine as a cheap storage solution for lightweight items like sweaters, shoes, DVDs, but I wouldn't put hardcover books on them or stack very high. I'll be keeping a close eye on the board under my computer!

Be certain to note the item's measurements. I was negligent and implicitly made assumptions from the product photo. I thought '2 row bookshelf'. Two rows is correct, however a paper back book will not fit into it. The inside height of a row is 6.5 inches. It is not a book shelf. Mea Culpa. The product is sturdy and light-weight as advertised; much preferable to standard press board shelves.

I needed a shelf for my cable TV receiver and DVD player which were lying on the carpet underneath the table my 40" TV sits on. This foilled the bill perfectly and left space on the shelves for magazines and DVd's. Good, solid construction, altho like all similar products, assembly requires going slowly and reading carefully.

Received the item quickly. It is perfect for the purpose intended. I set my TV on top of the cube and a modem, router & cable box on one shelf and a DVD player on the other which gave me more space on my desk in my study.

I'm very pleased with this little shelf. Our flatscreen TV was too low to the ground in its recessed square wall cubby so I bought this to raise it up above great dane level. It supports the weight of the TV just fine and now I can still see most of the tv when the dog walks by. Looks very sleek and arrived without a scratch on it. It was easy to put together with just a screwdriver and all the pieces lined up perfectly. My only complaint is that the black "caps" to cover the screw heads don't fit and are useless. Not a big deal for me, but may be for other buyers.
