I bought this item for my home office. I have had it for several months. The shelf support pins are made of cheap plastic and break when you place books on the shelf. This has happened several times. I called the company and they sent me a whole new set of pins. I have tried to find some metal ones without any success. They are an odd size 5.95 mm or 15/64 inch. This makes the selfs useless for holding books.
