The instructions are rather hard to follow. If you make a mistake, it won't forgive you. You'll end up with a bookshelf full of holes. The center is not safe and easy to separate. I'm about to have a kid and I wouldn't feel comfortable having my baby around it. I just bought this bookshelf and I'm already throwing it away. Seriously, don't get fool by the price. It's better to spend a little more money, but having the confidence its safe and easy to assemble and disassemble. Invest on peace of mind.

The bookcase was moderately difficult to put together. Finish was excellent. Fit was fair. I recommend a carpenter's square to insure squareness when attaching the back. Overall strength is okay for miscellaneous items (but not heavy items like books). I'm not a fan of cam-lock fasteners and this one has many. Overall, if you have a good flat area to put this together and fair mechanical skills you should not have a problem. By the way, the value I am talking about is from another superstore site where you can get the shipping for free to your local store which makes this an excellent buy.

I found this in Walmart on rollback for $25 and it was originally $29. The instructions are not very clear and you are able to easily make mistakes trying to build it. When I was finally finished building it correctly, I found out why there is strap screwed to the top back of the shelf. This shelf is not stable. If you put this shelf in a high traffic areas, I recommend you screw the strap to the wall as instructed. It is not worth more than $25 and it is not solid wood.

But on a positive note, it does organize all the stuff I had laying around my room. The bookshelf has a nice natural look that suits anywhere. I used the deep adjustable shelves to display my doll collection and the rest holds my manga collection.

This is a great bookshelf, but you have to follow the instructions carefully. I almost assembled it backward. Thankfully, I was cautious while assembling it together.

I highly recommend this product. Once you adorn it with skulls, pentagrams, wiccan supplies and books, it becomes a nice little wiccan shelf... very gothic!

I don't know why anyone would buy this bookcase for this price. You can buy it from Walmart for $25. It's not worth this much, it's made out of mdf, not wood. I have one I purchased about 7 years ago for 19, that I'm looking at right now. It's good for the value, if you pay the right price. I was looking to purchase a few for the classroom I'm moving to this fall, as it has no storage, but I would not pay this price. Last week, this same bookcase was on sale on this website for 10.84, but when you clicked to order, shipping costs were over $100. Something is really messed up with this company. I wouldn't trust them.
