I really dont understand how the previous reviews can give this curio 5 stars.

1) This curio requires significant assembly (think ikea style installation). It was never mentioned in the product description.

2) But unlike ikea, the instructions are not clear at all, and the holes dont match. Many hours of frustration.

3) The actual dimension is far smaller than what's stated, the interior shelf dimension is only 26" wide x 17" depth.

4) The product itself is low quality, the main front glass panel had many visible scratches and blue taint defect on the corner of the glass. No I did not mishandle the panel, it came without any protective film, just glass directly on styrofoam.

Maybe if this is a $200 item I would give it higher rating, but at $550+ you are far better off getting a real pre-assembled piece from a furniture store.

Amazon is great as always, freight company contacted me within 1 day of order and delivered in 2 days (reason why i ordered, needed it by the weekend).

In conclusion, definitely not worth the price. I am very disappointed.

It's perfect to show off collectables. Much larger than expected with mirrored back and lighted too. I love the way the door slides opens sideways. Nice scroll work too

This item was nicely packaged, however took my husband a while to assemble it. It is definitely a two person job. Some of the "wood" was chipping off the inside of the door. Once together though it looks nice, especially when there is stuff in it. Three stars just for the difficult assembly, otherwise a decent piece.

I was excited to open the box and start putting it together. I noticed a scratch on the top shelf and thought, ok I'll just put that in the back where no one will see it. Then as I picked up one side to attach, I saw that the main bottom support bar was broken in half. That's when I noticed many other scratches, blemishes, and even what appeared to be warping of the shelves. If I had paid better attention to the online description, I would not have ordered it. The box was too light. Even if it arrived undamaged, I would not have been happy with it. I thought it would be heaver and better constructed. Don't waste your time, money, or energy on this one.

Okay! So my spacesaver arrived today and I was happy to receive it, but disappointed to find that it is more black than espresso! From the pictures it really looks like a chocolate brown piece. However, as I was assembling it, I was disappointed to find that it is more on the black side. So it is off to Home Depot to get a $4 can of oil-bronzed spray paint to lighten it up to match the remaining decor in the master bath suite! This is an easy and inexpensive fix! The piece is sturdy and beautifully crafted.

We purchased this item (in white) for our bathroom in our new apartment that didn't have any closet for towels. It was super easy to put together...probably about 20-30 min for someone who has put together self-assemble furniture before. Instructions were pretty good, pieces fit together fairly well. Had to use a small drill bit on one hole as it was slightly misaligned, but otherwise everything else fit OK. I felt this was a great value because I found it through the Amazon Warehouse listed as "used-like new" and I got it for 50% off. Only had one dime-sized chip missing from a corner on one of the shelves (could have been from shipping) but looks great overall (chip not too noticeable) and is very sturdy. After seeing it in person, I would reasonably pay full price. It holds more full-sized bath towels than we have to put on it and we still have room for other things.

I looked for a tower/shelf for my kids bathroom for a long time and could not find one that I liked. I saw this one and did not want to spend $100 for my kids bath but I liked the look of the shelf. I am glad I did. This will last a long time. It took 5 minutes to build and it looks very modern and like I paid way more than $100. Great product.

Ellsworth Space Saver with Door and Shelves

Tried assembling this on Friday night and found several defects in the boards. (Defects meaning holes that were not drilled that should have been, or holes that were the incorrect size to fit the indicated items (too small)).

I've emailed the company and asked for new parts, but have yet to hear back. I'm hoping I will hear back and they will make it right, because it looks like it will be a nice piece of furniture for us. Overall, not impressed that the product was not manufactured correctly. Seems like they could use some quality control.

UPDATE: The company mailed me replacement parts, which worked out ok. I do want to note that the instructions for assembly are sometimes not quite in the correct order, like it tells you to put on the board that goes behind the toilet, before saying 'oh hey, maybe you should put this together behind the toilet'. Same with the back panel it tells you to put it in after you can't put it in basically, you have to be smarter than the instructions to put this together.

It's a nice piece of furniture, but it took some issues to get it assembled, so I'm going to keep this review at 2 stars.

Overall, this is a nice cabinet. Exactly as pictured. That being said, I have a few grumblings about the overall construction and assembly of this cabinet.

1. I bought two of these cabinets. Once set was missing a metal lock screw, the other had just enough. Usually when you buy something like this, they have the sense to put extras of each in the bag, not so.

2. On BOTH sets, there were dowels that were TOO long--so long that they punctured through the material covering the particle board (different sections on each set). That sections of the cabinet it effected is not in open view, but I know it's there and it is a little irritating.

3. There were assembly line flaws that they "corrected" on one of the cabinet's bottom section in the front. Probably a hole that they did not mean to drill there, and covered it up with putty and probably colored it in with a marker. Again, probably not noticable if you don't point it out, but I know it is there and it would look horrible in bright light. Someone in their assembly line really needed to scrap that piece and start another one. Now I am stuck with it.

4. In addition to a dowel hole(s) being too long, the holes were too big on each set or the dowels were too small--you pick. Dowels should fit snug, these did not. It made for a frustrating solo assembly since they wouldn't stay put. Maybe a larger dowel would have worked, but I had to work with what I had.

5. The shelf within the cabinet is really nice, but the cabinet will not fit squirt bottles or anything taller than a bottle of shampoo in it. I had to lean my bathroom cleaners to the side and pile them in. I tried to assemble the other cabinet without the shelf, but the cabinet would not look right if I did that and lessen its capacity. Thankfully the shelf is only held in by dowels, so I suppose I could simply re-drill holes that were lower--but why should I have to do that? Maybe in production, they can drill different level holes so the customer can decide where they want the shelf.

6. The dry wall screws they provided to bolt it into your wall are cheap. Get your own. I have a box of them I bought from Ikea--surprisingly they work awesome. Speaking of Ikea, if they would have had a cabinet similar to that, I would have bought it there.

Finally, my review of this cabinet is it looks nice... as long as you don't get a section of the cabinet that shows a dowel hole that punctured through. My advice would be to drill your own little holes for a shelf within the cabinet if you plan on putting bathroom cleaners and squirt bottles in it like I planned to. Bottomline, you get what you paid for.. but for a cabinet that was $70, I expected a little higher assembly quality, adjustable shelves, the correct sized dowels, and enough supplies to get the job done.

This spacesaver looks really nice in my bathroom. I like that the color is almost black. At first when I looked at all the pieces in the box I thought it would be way over my head to put it together. But voila! ... Before I knew it, it was all together! There was only one mistake in the printed instructions and I had to backtrack a couple of steps to get it together. But overall, the instructions were good and I'm really happy with the quality for the cost. It could have been taller (I have high ceilings), but I knew the measurements before I ordered it. I would recommend it to a friend.

The design is nice and it is sturdy. It was easy to put together., The only complaint is the shelves could be an inch or two higher. Can't put in most cleaning supplies, without putting them on their sides. shampoo bottles, or hair spray cans. Anything that may have a top or a spray does not fit..

This is a quality built product. The wire channel in the back is wide. The materials and design are top notch. the only complaint i have is the shelves need to be about 1 1/2" deeper. I measured my components before I bought this item, however I forgot to take into account the wires coming out the back adding about 1 inch to the depth of each item. That was my mistake not the designers.

Looks Great, well engineered, great fit and finish.

Honestly goes together better with two people, this shelf system is not flimsy. Best if you lay the peices out on the floor in order, then assemble on the rods.

I know I was pleased when mine ( I bought two) were together and on the wall.

I just finished putting this up and it wasn't easy. The instructions are a little confusing and not very detailed. My son had to help me not only translate but put it together, you do need two people to ensure everything gets tightened down and aligned properly. It took much longer than I expected about 2 hours, but again I had some challenges understanding the instructions and its' pictures, there's not alot of wording. Once on the wall, I love the look, sturdy, and very pleased I purchased it. I'm actually buying another one. Instead of the massive togglebolts sent with package for dry wall, I used drywall anchors with heavy duty weight allowances 35-50lbs, I prefer working with those, I feel as the shelf is more secure the way I installed it and less damaging to the wall. I didn't give it a 5 because of the instructions and not having a company phone number displayed on the instructional book that I could dial when I had issues with setting it up. I would have felt better knowing I had that support, turns out however, I had everything I needed initially and just needed a teenager to interpret the pics, lol. I definitely recommend you take off all plastic wrapping, here are two layers, 2nd plastic coating is like a second skin, I didn't do this thinking I would protect the glass from scratches, it wasn't the better decision...so remove all plastic prior to glass going on frame.

Just mounted this shelf system few days ago. Looks great! Did a lot of research before purchasing this wall mount. With other products some people complained the shelfs were not deep enough to compensate for the wires plugged into the rear of their devices. I had no such problem with this set! Glass shelfs were deep enough to hold my cable box & PS3. Now a oversized receiver may be a different story. The holes and wire management worked out good. Was able to hide about 5+ cables with no problem.

One thing you must do before mounting... Zip tie wires and run them down the wall (tape against the all if necessary) where the open space behind the mount will be. Also Place all wires through the appropriate holes before screwing the shelfs onto the mounted plate. The only complaint is it will be tough to add wires if I add a device to a shelf. You'll be forced to unscrew the mount off the wall plate to get behind the shelfs. With the amount of wires already behind the device, it will be near impossible to try and push up more wires from the top or bottom.

I'll probably end up buying the same branded 2 shelf wall mount for my bedroom.

Mounted this in my family room and put the stereo equipment and xbox on it. It looks very attractive, and removes all the clutter and neatly allows you to have it on the wall. the cable channel in the back is reasonably large, but I still managed to fill it with enough cables that I had to jam the last few in with some difficulty. But otherwise, love it and a great addition.

I read a lot of reviews on a lot of shelves before I settled on this one, I wanted something nice and sturdy, that wasn't horrifically expensive. A book shelf for almost one hundred dollars is in my price range, but just barely, so I shopped around. I agree with the reviewer that said the packaging was damaged, but as with their review, the contents were fine. It got to my house in about 5 days which was awesome. I completely disagree with the person who said this is only nice enough for a child's bedroom, but not for "real furniture". I'll add a picture and you can see how nice it looks. All the pieces were in the package and the whole thing screws together and is very sturdy, I have a really heavy jewelry box on top. The shelves aren't adjustable but I wasn't looking for them to be so...If you can use a screw driver and follow basic instructions you can build this.

My inlaws purchased these bookshelves to go in my 2 sons rooms for their HUGE book collections. They arrived quicker than expected but the boxes were pretty beat up. I was concerned that the shelves would be too. I was happily surprised that the shelves were packaged well inside the boxes and there was no damage. The shelves were easy to assemble, directions simple to follow and the finished product was exactly as expected. They hold lots and lots of children's books and look nice with all the other dark wood furniture that is in the bedrooms. I wouldn't say they are the quality to put in a nice family room but for my children's rooms they are perfect.
