It is cheaply made not as nice as the photo on Amazon, you definitely get what you paid for. My Island came with distorted parts with paint chips on the wood. Unless you are planning on putting it against a wall, I would not recommend to use as an Island since the back is horrible with screws & wood imperfections clearly visible. I actually had to cover the back with matching sheet metal to cover the imperfections of the wood and the screws. Keep in mind the dimension includes the length of the paper towel bar. Therefore, the actual work surface of the top is only 37 inches. I would not buy this Island again even at half the price what I paid for on Amazon. I never write reviews but I felt I had to share my unhappiness.

I thought this cart looked really nice, but when I got it and it took my brother hours to put it together it wasn't as nice as I thought it was. The stainlesss steel top had some dents in it and the top drawer need to be on gliders. The color is nice, but would not buy again.

Be warned this cart is the worst product I have bought to date. To begin with, color is a weird kinda solid plastic looking brown not actual Espresso wood grain color. Such poor construction I had to glue entire cart together with gorilla glue to add stability, and no parts fit correctly. One of the vital pieces was completely wrong and had to be modified to get it to work. I bought a small cart, from another company, also that is 10 times better in both construction, quality, and looks for about the same price. Apply your $200 to something nicer, because you will eventually give up and throw this away as it is just ugly and very cheap looking!!! I would have saved myself much time and heartache if I would have just set the money on fire!!! If a picture tells a 1000 words then this picture is 1000 lies, because it doesnt come anywhere close to the photo in person!!!! It does take about 2 hours to put together but sooooooo worth it! You need2 people but only for 5 minutes! Battery operated screwdriver helps! It may just have been bad luck on our part, but this cart was a lemon. It arrived quickly from the vendor, but was scratched (possibly in transit). I had bought it for my daughter, who decided she could live with the scratch, but then found that it didn't fit together properly when she tried to assemble it. I will say that the company made good on it immediately, so there is no complaint about the customer service -just that the product was not a good investment.

Tried assembling this on Friday night and found several defects in the boards. (Defects meaning holes that were not drilled that should have been, or holes that were the incorrect size to fit the indicated items (too small)).

I've emailed the company and asked for new parts, but have yet to hear back. I'm hoping I will hear back and they will make it right, because it looks like it will be a nice piece of furniture for us. Overall, not impressed that the product was not manufactured correctly. Seems like they could use some quality control.

UPDATE: The company mailed me replacement parts, which worked out ok. I do want to note that the instructions for assembly are sometimes not quite in the correct order, like it tells you to put on the board that goes behind the toilet, before saying 'oh hey, maybe you should put this together behind the toilet'. Same with the back panel it tells you to put it in after you can't put it in basically, you have to be smarter than the instructions to put this together.

It's a nice piece of furniture, but it took some issues to get it assembled, so I'm going to keep this review at 2 stars.

Overall, this is a nice cabinet. Exactly as pictured. That being said, I have a few grumblings about the overall construction and assembly of this cabinet.

1. I bought two of these cabinets. Once set was missing a metal lock screw, the other had just enough. Usually when you buy something like this, they have the sense to put extras of each in the bag, not so.

2. On BOTH sets, there were dowels that were TOO long--so long that they punctured through the material covering the particle board (different sections on each set). That sections of the cabinet it effected is not in open view, but I know it's there and it is a little irritating.

3. There were assembly line flaws that they "corrected" on one of the cabinet's bottom section in the front. Probably a hole that they did not mean to drill there, and covered it up with putty and probably colored it in with a marker. Again, probably not noticable if you don't point it out, but I know it is there and it would look horrible in bright light. Someone in their assembly line really needed to scrap that piece and start another one. Now I am stuck with it.

4. In addition to a dowel hole(s) being too long, the holes were too big on each set or the dowels were too small--you pick. Dowels should fit snug, these did not. It made for a frustrating solo assembly since they wouldn't stay put. Maybe a larger dowel would have worked, but I had to work with what I had.

5. The shelf within the cabinet is really nice, but the cabinet will not fit squirt bottles or anything taller than a bottle of shampoo in it. I had to lean my bathroom cleaners to the side and pile them in. I tried to assemble the other cabinet without the shelf, but the cabinet would not look right if I did that and lessen its capacity. Thankfully the shelf is only held in by dowels, so I suppose I could simply re-drill holes that were lower--but why should I have to do that? Maybe in production, they can drill different level holes so the customer can decide where they want the shelf.

6. The dry wall screws they provided to bolt it into your wall are cheap. Get your own. I have a box of them I bought from Ikea--surprisingly they work awesome. Speaking of Ikea, if they would have had a cabinet similar to that, I would have bought it there.

Finally, my review of this cabinet is it looks nice... as long as you don't get a section of the cabinet that shows a dowel hole that punctured through. My advice would be to drill your own little holes for a shelf within the cabinet if you plan on putting bathroom cleaners and squirt bottles in it like I planned to. Bottomline, you get what you paid for.. but for a cabinet that was $70, I expected a little higher assembly quality, adjustable shelves, the correct sized dowels, and enough supplies to get the job done.

This spacesaver looks really nice in my bathroom. I like that the color is almost black. At first when I looked at all the pieces in the box I thought it would be way over my head to put it together. But voila! ... Before I knew it, it was all together! There was only one mistake in the printed instructions and I had to backtrack a couple of steps to get it together. But overall, the instructions were good and I'm really happy with the quality for the cost. It could have been taller (I have high ceilings), but I knew the measurements before I ordered it. I would recommend it to a friend.

This is my 4th and final tie rack, unless I buy 70 more ties.... Here's the difference cut and dry. I've read a complaint about needing the right size closet bar. The answer is remove the optional middle piece and use the screw holes on the top. So it WILL fit any bar. I love how you DON'T have to use the top screw hole options because the middle piece on most tie racks will pop out if you bump it the wrong way, the whole thing will fall, and you'll have to put all the ties back on it again. This rack does NOT have that problem. 2. Motor runs fast so it doesn't take 6 years for the right tie to come around AND it runs fast fully loaded, which is important. I've had old racks that I got so frustrated with that I just picked the tie I wanted from the side and never used the rotary option.

Bottomline, it fits, doesn't fall off, is stable, fast, and has a large capacity. AND the light is bright....

First of all the customer service received was very prompt, courteous, and responsive. That was much appreciated. Highly recommend the store.

Purchased one and it is currently working very smoothly.

It is true that you need a closet rod for this product to work, it is true that the product is somewhat flimsy and cheap plastic feel, it is also true that the product does not make much noise and when it works it works well and the light on it is helpful.

When I first opened the product I was a bit taken aback by how toy-ish the item felt and the initial installation was not successful as the internal flimsy plastic receptacle for the tightening screw was broken (you could hear it rolling around inside) and hence the unit could not be secured on the closet rod, however, the motor operated without making much noise and the speed of rotation was comfortable enough to allow one to view the collection of ties as they go around (note: you really do need to have a good number of ties 2 dozen or more as this unit can hold 60 or so to make good use of this).

With the defective product I contacted the seller and received a very timely response and apology. Paid $3.95 to have product exchanged out (did not have to pay to send product back) and the replacement arrived in two or three days. This unit installed without a hitch, well a teeny tiny hitch (had to tug on the belt ever so slightly to get it to start rotating) and currently operates nicely.

Things to be careful about: a) be gentle when installing it as it is made of flimsy plastic and a fall or too much force could easily crack the plastic b) make sure you balance the weight of ties on either end of tie rack for optimum functioning.

Yes, this product is a delicate toy and should be treated as such. I would be willing to pay more if I could find the exact same thing but made with wood or metal alloy or something sturdier it would be classier and perhaps more durable.

I did search the web for a much higher quality one but had no luck, even the wood looking ones are made of plastic.

For now I don't have to go through the neck tie hanger to sort through the collection of ties one by one; they just rotate round and round before my very eyes! It is a product that provides an economical and reasonable solution.

Pros

* Shelves made from rigid hardboard (not cardboard), very acceptable, should hold plenty, even if double up. Speaking of which, no, they're not adjustable, but if you take the pins out, you can in fact have a double-space. Wouldn't suggest more than double though, as then you would definitely be overloading the shelf.

* Size of spaces very good. They split the difference between not too small and not too large and got it just right. Note, the space width is fairly tight, so if you're planning on putting something over-wide, such as an overstuffed manila folder, don't. I did check and a normal size folder does fit, and that's good, but it's quite snug.

* Quality overall, very good. Sure, the back is thin, semi-rigid paperboard (not hardboard), but all RTA furniture has that. Some concern about connectors, which unlike Sauder and others, this unit doesn't come with locking cams but instead wood pegs, though those are in fact coated with glue so "hoping" that holds out during moves.

* Doors love 'em! Looks very, very nice for plastic especially, looks like nice, frosted glass with vertical striping or etching, not just a solid sheet of frosting very nice.

Cons

* Instructions are visual only, no words. If you've put this kind of furniture together before, shouldn't be that big a problem, but see my tips below anyway, will help you avoid my mistakes.

* Packaging they did an amazing job of packing nicely such a heavy unit in one box, with styrofoam smartly on the ends, but could tell it barely made the trip because the ends of the box were nearly destroyed in transit from handling. Not the shipper's fault, if you know how many times and how those poor guys have to handle this stuff, just that if you might want to return it, you best not unpack it, or between the box being in bad shape and needing a degree in engineering to get it all back in there, you'd be better of shooting yourself, I'm sure of it.

Assembly Instruction Tips

* Pay very close attention to which one is 'B' and 'C' when attaching to 'E'. As noted, 'B' has holes on 2 sides, 'A' only on 1, real easy to miss that.

* Square the unit! They don't tell you to do this, but I've been there before so knew enough to. Use the backer board to do so, and yes, as they show you, do it before you install the doors. The backer is nearly full size, so little room for error there, watch that.

* Protect the unit Be sure to lay towels or blankets down unless working on carpet, you'll be working with the unit face down a little bit.

* Hinges The side that goes into the door has two plastic, toothy wall anchor type grabbers with screws in them. You're tempted to remove the screws thinking you'll tear up the door if not. It's okay, don't remove the screws or even adjust them, just hammer them in and you'll be fine, so long of course that you do each side evenly, not one side all at once. Common sense should do you fine.

* Pegs Yes, dip them in water, that's the glue! But, wear those plastic surgeon's gloves, at least on one hand, for that glue will stain your fingers and it's nearly impossible to get off. Have a dry rag handy to wipe any drips off the finished surface. Dip half the peg in and get ahead, look at directions and do all of them at once. Then, when you're ready to attach the one with pegs to the other one with holes, dip a rag into water and dab it around the peg to wet it freshly. Be careful, the glue will last thru two wettings but that's about it, it will indeed wash off so just be aware of that.

I am using this for my home office. It is in a guest bedroom so we were looking for something that matches the furniture that we have, and it does it very well. With the doors on it, it hides the literature well. When put together it is very sturdy. It is easy to put together. It uses dowel pins that have glue on them. He just need to wet them before you use them. There were no parts missing. Usually when I get something with this many parts, there are usually at least a half a dozen parts missing.

I would've gotten a taller unit if there was one available. I am considering another unit for more literature and forms that I use.

Well you cant due that because it is all glued together with wood dowels. So I had to ship it like it was and UPS charged me 57.00 to pack it. Very Sad about this purchase.

Quad Media Tower, holds 1520 CDs

First of all, this is your typical fiberboard product with a flimsy cardboard backing. That said, I am very happy with this purchase. The visible areas of the tower are finished nicely and do not look cheap. I have over 600 movies and they fit just fine with a little room to spare for odd shaped media. The directions are okay but could use some more detail. Assembly took about two hours but I was going slow and took a couple beer breaks. The worst part of this assembly was trying to attach the backing without punching a nail through the finish...I failed. They supply a cover-up marker for damage to the finish so the end result looked pretty good in spite of my wayward hammer. I just needed a place to store my dvd`s. This tower fits great in my basement since it only sticks out about nine inches from the wall.

As noted in other reviews, this unit is made of particle board, but I have to say that the pieces are well-machined and the material seems denser than what I've seen in other furniture of this sort. There was no damage in the shipment, perhaps because the unit was shipped in two packages: one for the main, larger pieces, and a smaller package containing the actual shelves. All of the assembly hardware was included, although the various pieces were in the same bag. (the ample supply of shelf pegs were bagged separately, at least, so it wasn't a big deal to sort them out). Assembly took a couple of hours and was pretty straightforward, but make sure you keep an eye on the instructions. I have the unit situated in my basement where the concrete floor slopes up slightly within the last couple inches before the wall, so to keep the unit from leaning outwards, I added a rail underneath the front of the base. This put most of the weight against the wall, and it's rock-solid.

As for the reason it was purchased in the first place (STORAGE!), it's awesome; it's really great to have all my CDs and DVDs in one place instead of stacked on various shelves or in boxes. The peg holes are configured to allow all sorts of arrangements, whether you're storing CDs, DVDs, or paperback books.

There just aren't enough inexpensive options for storing up to 1,000 DVDs. Most get throttled for being cheaply made or not sturdy enough.

I'm happy to say that for what this is, it's a really great value. It's not a custom made piece of furniture, nor is it going to withstand a hurricane, but it's a great option for inexpensive storage. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were comprehensive. I assembled it myself, but I've also had a reasonable amount of experience assembling IKEA furniture lately. Most people are probably going to want a 2nd set of hands to help avoid making mistakes.

The only part of this rack I'd criticize is the back. As usual, you're getting the bi-fold cardboard. The biggest problem is it doesn't fit edge to edge, so you're screwing around trying to maximize the contact with the backing while not penetrating the interior finish. I'm not sure how much harder it would have been to make the stupid pieces an extra 1/2 inch tall and wide, but if you're listening Prepac, please consider doing so. Along this line, if there was a more rigid material that could provide more structural integrity than cardboard without substantially affecting the price, you might want to consider making that move. Paper is paper. It tears, swells, warps, etc.

5* for what it is; 2* for the pain in the fanny installing the backing.

First of all. It was shipped very fast to me. I really liked that. When i got it, there was a lot of pieces to put together, I thought it would take me forever to get it all done. But I got it put together in about 2 hours with a few breaks in between. They said that it can Hold over 700 dvds. I believe it's true. I have over 500 so i'm not sure about the 700 but i have a a lot more open room left. I have the black one. It looks nice! Its also very strong. I have a two year old that likes to climb and it can hold him, he's about 27 pounds, so i really love that it can stand up to that! I'm 5'1 and the dvd stand is taller then me. and it takes up half my wall but it's not that wide so it doesn't take up Over all I love it.

We ordered and received our dvd shelf and was completely shocked when we discovered it to be particle board and cardboard. The original price for this p.o.s. was somewhere around 900 dollars, before it went on some kind of so called sale for around 250 dollars. With that being said we never even thought twice that this shelf was going to be something other than real wood. My opinion is that this shelf should have been priced around 120 to 160 dollars. We also came to find out that it doesn't even hold 702 dvd's as claimed. If someone is looking for a good dvd shelf I would suggest that you search a little harder before buying this p.o.s. that won't even survive a move. We received a 10% rebate for our disbelief, what a !#@$ing joke!

This exactly what I was looking for in a decorative shelf -nice looking in an understated way, solid construction and easy to install. I don't know what to make of the other reviewer's experience. Mine was, in fact, a complete "kit" that included the silver bracket, screws, etc. I am getting ready to purchase another one. If I am missing pieces-parts, I will update this review.

I received my order today, but it's not much of a shelf "kit" since all that was in the box was a glass shelf. Since I hadn't planned on using the Glacier bracket anyway, it's not a problem for me. Before ordering this, however, you might want to double check with Amazon if there's supposed to be a bracket with it.

Wood Linen Cabinet

Easy enough to assemble.. Very poorly engineered. The holes that you glue dowels into are over sized and sloppy. The top arced section has damaged surface: prior to painting. Upper doors can't line up, they are slightly different sizes and there is NO provision for adjustment or alignment. The hinges do not have counter-sink holes but, the screws provided are flat head so they don't screw down flush (should have round or pan head screws for hinges). The threaded holes in the knobs are also over sized, you can not tighten properly because the screws slip but don't strip.

This item is not worth the $92.95 cost (a "$157.00 savings"). You can find better Chinese furnishings at Kmart and probably save a couple of bucks! -Larry

This cabinet is actually two small cabinets sitting on top of each other. To insure that the top cabinet will not fall or tip over you have to insert 4 short dowels 2 on each side that causes the cabinet cabinet be VERY wobbly and unstable. The wood cheap solid wood that cracked when we screws the supplied hinges. There is also a very strong chemical odor from the paint they used the is actually noxious.

Too bad my wife threw away the box other I'd have returned it back by now.

Be careful if you ordered a tall cabinet and it comes in a 3' tall box.

I've learned my lesson.

I was very disappointed with all of the hardware that came with the cabinet. None of the knobs worked. I Ended up having to go to a hardware store to get new knobs. The screws that hold the hinges were also striped or were not the right size. The doors do not hang correctly. I checked on line and on my receipt to see if there was a customer service phone number. I couldn't find one. I was very disapointed.

Not happy with cabinet for 2 reasons. First reason is, there were way too many pieces to put together and the directions stunk. I prefer to read step by step what pieces go where and not just by looking at pictures. To me looking at pictures take longer. And because of the pictures I missed putting the connector strip in between the boards on the back of the cabinet and had to take the cabinet apart to put them in. This was not easy to do when the directions show to use glue on the dowel rods. If there had been step by step instructions I probably wouldn't have had to go through all that trouble.

The second and most important reason is, The description of the cabinet "says white bathroom linen cabinet" which is misleading. In the picture it looks as though it is bright white but it's not. It is more of an off white or cream color. When I put the cabinet next to my white washer and dryer, it looks dirty or like it had dulled over years. But it is brand new. Now, instead of having the cabinet in the room I wanted it in, I put it in another so it wouldn't look so bad.

Other then that, the cabinet is good for extra storage.

Huge mistake. The "wood" is super cheap composite like cardboard with a coating over it. It comes in so many little pieces I had to hire a handyman to assemble. The dowels do not hold the parts together, too short, not even with the extra screws my guy added -it still sways when you touch it and I know when move someday it will fall apart. It was impossible to align the pieces properly. The back wall is several pieces of small cardboard-ish stuff (instead of one piece that would help with stability) which keep falling down. The supports for the shelves are extra short (extra cheap) so they keep falling out. The holes on the vertical sides are not aligned right so one of my shelves is slanted and there's nothing I can do. Some hardware was missing from the box so I had to buy extra. This is a ridiculous piece of junk with some good styling to lure you in. I see the price is down from the $300 I paid to $220-240. Doesn't matter. STAY AWAY!!!!

KV Light Duty Shelf Bracket 16" Brass

These are typical light-duty KV shelf brackets. They are not meant for heavy loads but they are pretty good brackets overall. Be sure to seat them well in the shelf standard with a light tap of a hammer. Shipping was a bit expensive so lost a star for that. Otherwise a fine purchase.

I purchased this solely on the price and size dimensions. I was pleasantly surprised that the actual color is a darker grey or gun metal look. I attached a picture above.

Once I attached the rubber feet, the rack didn't sit completely flat, but I was able to gently twist the piece a bit and it sits fine now. Seems like it will hold up well.

This looks great and works perfectly on top of my kitchen cabinets. The metal (flat) legs are not are thick / sturdy as i would have liked. But the price is OK. It adds up if you start stacking them. I bought two to stack up and they interlock nicely. The tips of the legs have rubber feet that keep it from sliding around. Although the rubber feet make it more difficult to attach one on-top the other when stacking. Just need to push it into the slit of the rack below. It doesn't snap but the weight of the bottles / gravity keeps it firmly down / in place. I might get a third to put on top of the two. I think the product has a stack limit in the description. it seems that three should work but probably not four unless it is secured to the wall or something.

Look at the second pictureit's a lot darker than the first one. Not the color I was expecting, but it still looks nice and is sturdy. It fits perfectly on a 24in shelf.

HON 510 Series Drawer Full-Suspension Letter File

I have purchased and used a lot of HON file cabinets both vertical and horizontal and considered them top of the line file cabinets. December 31, 2009 I ordered a new cabinet to be used in my home. I shopped around and the Amazon price of $191.58 with free delivery was great.

However, when the file cabinet was delivered, I inspected it and was disappointed with the quality control. A seam on top is open rather than closed the way it would typically be. When I opened a drawer, a spring was laying on the bottom of the drawer and at this point I don't know where it belongs. Hopefully, it is an extra spring an employee dropped during assembly.

The drawers open and close and latch shut just fine. There are no complaints from a functional standpoint.

This is when you wish this was an item that could easily be sent back. Since this is not the case, I am going to keep this file cabinet but am disappointed with the quality control. This cabinet is not up to the standards I expect of HON cabinets.

The third drawer has a very noticeable dent on the front. The packaging box also has a hole where the dent is. My guess is that something punched a hole through the box and it hit directly onto the front of the filing cabinet. If the packaging was sufficient in the front of the box, it would have protected the item. A piece of foam on the front would have prevent some of this damage. There is also a scratch on the paint near the dent.

One of the filing cabinet door is also impossibly hard to open and close. It is so tight that it scratches against the bottom of the opening. I have to slam the door extremely hard so the lock catches. Additionally, I have to shake the handle back and forth just to get the cabinet door to open.

Great product. I loved that it was already assembled. I am sure this will last for a really long time and is strong and heavy-duty. I have had a cheapo file cabinet in the past that tipped over when files were in it, but that will definitely not happen with this cabinet. Totally worth the extra money for something that will last.

I normally love HON products and always go to them first when I need new furniture/file cabinets, so I was very disappointed to receive the file cabinet in poor condition. Opposite sides, front and back were dented. It looks out of alignment. I think it may have been dropped on the back corner. The box was fine shipping was 2 weeks late, so I wonder if they got a replacement box somehow. The good news thanks to HON quality it still works fine, including the locks. Hope it holds up to daily use. I would like to send it back, but cut open the box to get the file cabinet out. Will think twice before ordering equipment and furniture online again!

Artisan Double Open panel Wall Shelf

Purchased both single and double panel shelf units. Product is well made, better than Target but well below craftsman quality. Assembles and installs easily, but be wary of the mollies if mounting on sheet rock. I ended up purchasing others mollies from local source. Be certain in choosing the stain. The mid-range MacIntosh is quite dark, with a cherry hue. I suspect the "light" is a better choice for a mid-range coloring of the oak. BUT stay away from this product unless you wish to spend more time and effort removing stickers and adhesive placed on visible portions of the shelves than you will spend assembling and mounting the shelves. And don't use solvents to remove the residue or the finish will come off too. If you have the time and patience to clean off the stickers this is a good value 4-star unit. If you expect a product to be delivered fully ready for assembly then this is a 2-star pain in the arse.

The wood is stained rich in grain and sturdy built. This is not a plywood cheap shelf. Very nice and will look great with my craftsman style home.

Welland Chicago Floating Shelf, 36-Inch, Black

The shelves are good they arrived in good shape and are atractive. However, if you plan to set anything at all on them (including small rolls of toilet paper), better plan on providing your own hardware. I realize they are only designed to hold about 30 pounds. Before I worked on them, I was scared to put 30 ounces on them. I had to drill extra holes in the bracket in order to utilize a stud, because there were not bracket holes in the same places as the studs in my wall. In addition, I was able to pull out the wall anchors that were provided with my bare hands. The instruction sheet says that the shelf should have a slightly up-tilted design to prevent sagging when used on the contrary, the shelves angled down when mounted to the wall. After I went back and added additional (and replacement hardware), they look like they were supposed to in the beginning.

I wanted a shelf wide enough for books. It needs to be a little heavier for many books. The weight capacity is only 30lbs and it was used up quickly with only a few books. I do like the look of it on my wall, above my TV stand.

When this shelf is installed, it leans forward. You can not put anything on this shelf without it sliding off. The company was very courteous and refunded my money and did not require me to return the shelf. I would purchase from them again but just not this product.

Terrible product. Not all the parts arrived for assembly. Not a sturdy shelf.

I was given this shelving unit for my garage. It has been a nightmare trying to get it assembled. The 2 top caps and the 2 bottom caps are missing, therefore; the shelf can not sit level. I contacted the manufacturer and filled out the request list. This particular shelf is not listed for parts. Finally, a phone call got me through and I explained the problem. The other day the 4 caps were sent. All the wrong size. There is no way they will fit. I have tried again to request new parts and no answer. This shelf unit can be purchased at Lowe's for much less money. I would suggest no one purchase it. There are better choices.
