Organize It All Basic Overdoor 6 Basket Unit

I bought this to go on the inside of my closet. I was so looking forward to cleaning out my cupboards and getting some room!! When I received the package, I was very excited to see that it was sturdy and roomy. When I tried to hang it over the door (on the inside of the closet), I was so frustrated to realize that the way the hangers are designed, it hits the trim on the inside of the door.

Since I had no desire to have a hanging rack outside the closet door in my dining room, I decided to pack it back up and wait until I could screw it into the door. Then, after a week of desperation of having no room to put anything in my cupboards, I thought to hell with it looking ugly, I would use it outside the door until I was able to screw it into place.

Well, I realized that if you put it on the outside of the door, the hanging device is created in a way where it still doesnt work right! The hooks themselves can only insert into the hook holder one way and it won't allow me to hang it on the outside. Sigh. So, now I will certainly have to screw it into my hollow core door. Im not sure how sturdy it will all be because I have to wait for my brother or Dad (ie: someone who knows how to drill into a hollow core closet door)to put it up for me. So bummed because it was expensive and it is taunting me with it's cool potential!!

Like other people said, so frustrated to realize that the way the hangers are designed, it hits the trim on the inside of the door.

Also they use the original retail box to ship to me, arrived broken and had missing parts (the nuts to fasten the baskets).

I must say that I am a very sad customer, because not only did I see other reviews that said "this will not hang on the inside of the door", after reading those reviews I still purchased this item thinking this comment must be user error...how could an 'Overdoor Basket Unit Organizer' not fit on the inside of a pantry door? So...against the warnings of other customers, I purchased this item and...low-and-behold...you can't hang it on the inside of your door using the "over the door" clips. There are instructions on how to drill holes into the door, and mount the item using screws, but I feel this would drastically diminish how much weight this item could hold.

I must say that I was initially attracted to this model, comparing it to the other similar items for sale on Amazon, because it looked sturdy and I felt it would hold actual weight. I almost gave this item 2 stars, because I feel its design and durability are very good, but I just don't understand the design flaw...don't they realize that EVERYONE wants to keep food items on the inside of their pantry?

HEED MY WARNING...THIS WILL NOT HANG ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR DOOR. There are large bolts that anchor the "clips" that go on top of the door and they make it impossible to close the door. Horrible engineering! Avoid!

I saw the other reviews where people stated this unit could not be hung on the inside of a door. I found that almost impossible to believe. How could a company make a rack that only could be mounted on the outside of a door. Who wants to mount a rack on the outside of their kitchen pantry door? Despite what I had read I ordered one of these racks. It was expensive compared to other wire racks but it appeared to be very well made and I hate to buy junk. I found it to be exactly like the others who bought it-----impossible to mount on the inside of a door using the supplied hardware. I have posted a pic showing why this can't be mounted on the inside of a door. The clamp and bracket at the top of the frame sticks out to far and it strikes the stop strip on the doorframe. I like others am returning this for a refund. I gave it 2 stars because it is fairly well made and if you are okay with a rack hanging on the outside of your door then it's the nicest looking one out there. I just have never seen anyone who has mounted an over the door rack on the outside of their door.

Alera Square Corner Bookcase, Finished Back, Wood Veneer

We bought two of these. The fit and finish on these are very nice making this the bargain of the century.

A few notes:

The units we received are a little different from what is pictured. In the picture it shows the sides extending a bit above the top. The ones we received had the top extending over the sides, so the entire top is at the same level. Better than what is pictured, in my opinion.

The packaging was very adequate, lots of Styrofoam surrounding the wood. No problems with damage. Nice two-day delivery with Amazon Prime.

I don't know why this is titled a Corner Bookcase. They're fine to go along a wall, especially if you want to hang pictures over them. I also don't know why this is associated with a kitchen. They look great in our office.

A couple of assembly tips:

The boards are held together with long screws and round clips. There is a Phillips cross on top of the round clips, but one line of the cross is a bit longer than the others making this look a little like a dagger instead of a cross. This longer line goes towards the hole where the screw is coming in. Unfortunately the instructions don't explain this. You should be able to turn the clips a half turn to tighten the connection.

There are 4 caps to cover the visible round clips. Since the clips were a little recessed the caps didn't attach to these, but since the clips aren't really visible we tossed the caps.

After finding out that the shelves would hold heavy book loads, I ordered two of the 72" high, 6-shelf bookcases. One never arrived, the other arrived but several of the embedded nuts simply wouldn't accept the special screws (which in turn fit into quick-lock fasteners) that came with the bookcase. The box they came in was also ripped and damaged and one of the pieces had a chunk of veneer gouged out. I call Amazon and their customer support rep said, "We'll send 2 new ones and pick up the old one." I told her the box it had come in was too badly damaged to return it in. She said, "No problem. We'll have the carrier bring their own boxes" A few days later the carrier (CEVA) called about delivering the 2 replacement bookcases and picking up the defective one, but said Amazon had not told them they needed to provide their own box for it. Delivery was made on schedule, and the 2 deliverymen were great (the same ones who had delivered the first shipment). We unboxed one bookcase. It seemed OK, except for cosmetic damange on one piece, which we swapped with one of the good pieces of the bookcase I was returning, they then packed the returning bookcase in the box that the first replacement had come it, taped it up, and took it away.

There were other cosmetic defects in some of the pieces of the replacement bookcase, but none that would really show or interfere with its functionality. But when I started to put it together, I found that it, too, had some embedded nuts that would not accept the screws that were supposed to go into them. I opened the 2nd box, then, hopeful that I could use the side pieces of that bookcase, so that I could get at least one good bookcase out of the whole deal. No such luck. One of the side frame pieces had a couple of embedded nuts that it was impossible to get any of the screws into. And the other side frame piece was totally missing all 7 embedded nuts. I called Amazon and asked them to come get these defective bookcases and refund my money. They issued an order for the carrier to pick them up (and told me to tell them when they called to arrange a pickup date that they'd to bring box/es suitable for repacking at least one of the bookcases). I'm still waiting for the carrier to call (all this happened just today), but their performance has been OK so I'm not too worried about this. Amazon has said it will refund all my money when they get the returned bookcases back.

On the plus side, the assembly hardware came nicely packaged in well-marked re-sealable pouches and instructions were fairly easy to understand. And the bookcase, wood-wise, is really sturdy and handsome -and I think the assembly (of a non-defective product) would have been fairly easy, if it could be assembled. But the manufacturing process evidently doesn't involve any inspection of finished products. The side piece that had no embedded nuts whatsoever also had two quick-lock fasteners stuck into the end of it. Either somebody at the factory was drunk, or some customer had started to put this together, then realized it was defective and returned it -after which Alera sent it out again hoping the next schmoe would not return it.

One defective product I could dismiss. Even 2. But all 3?? Do not buy this product.

I love this bookcase. I actually bought 2 to serve as a wide entertainment center. The bookcases are definitely sturdy enough to hold my TV, players, and other knick-knacks. They were also *very* easy to put together. The directions were clear and I was able to put both of them together myself in a reasonable amount of time (and I am not handy at all).

My only complaint is not about the bookcases themselves, but about the warehouse / delivery. When I received them, the boxes looked like they literally fell off the truck. One bookcase was fine, but the other bookcase was completely unusable it was all scratched up and the box was in such a state that I could not use it to send the bookcase back. The directions inside the box included a number to call in case of a damaged product; however when I called that number, they claimed to not handle damages or returns. They were pretty useless actually I eventually found a phone number for the seller and they sent a replacement. The box for the replacement wasn't exactly in the greatest shape either, but the bookcase inside was undamaged and the box was usable enough to ship the damaged bookcase back.

So, morale of the story. Bookcase = awesome. Shipper = very poor. Definitely check the ratings of the seller before placing your order.

The bookshelf looks nice and is solidly built. It was easy to put together. My only complaint is it only came with four stickers to cover the screws at the top and there are five screws, so it looks pretty tacky with one screw showing.

I ordered two of the 84" 7-Shelf Cherry bookcases from Shoplet via Amazon. The delivery service contacted me the day before delivery, and my shelves arrived within 10 minutes of the scheduled delivery time. Both bookshelves were complete, easy to assemble, and were packed without damage. These bookcases are extremely sturdy and they seem to be very durable.

Pros:

Easy to assemble.

Really nice looking gloss finish.

No lip on the sides or under the shelves to obscure or block books.

Books glide out nicely on the polished veneer.

Nice, thick, veneered, inset, press-board back (not cheap thin plywood).

Holds a lot of books.

Comes with plastic Earthquake strap and hardware to secure it to a wall.

Cons:

Shelf depth actually only 11.5", as the inset pressboard back takes up 1/4"

Other notes:

A lot of non-recyclable/compostable packing materialit's a lot of styrofoam. Shoplet also shipped a 3rd package with my order, a medium sized box, which only contained their product catalog, but was packed with a huge sheet of plastic packing bubbles. Hey Shoplet, next time, just send me a link to a PDFit's a lot less wasteful.

Lynk Professional-Inch Roll-Out Chrome Cabinet Drawer

I bought some like these from Lowe's for roughly the same price price. But, they didn't offer drawers to fit shelves this deep. So, I bought these. The only problem that I have with these is that they don't extend 100% as the ones from Lowe's do. They extend about 50%. It's good enough to keep, but barely. If you can find some that pull out further, I'd recommend those.

I am satisfied with the build quality. I suspect installation is as easy as any shelf. I think it took about 30 minutes per shelf. Any shelf system like this is going to require awkward positions inside the cabinets.

There's a trade off though with this type of roll out solution. You lose some shelf space both vertically as well as horizontally. In the end though, I think the trade off is worth it because even though the total cubic feet are reduced, you gain "usable" area.

This drawer is very well made and slides easily. However, the stated height of 4" is misleading. In fact, the top rail of the drawer is really 4-3/8" above the shelf it's installed on. That may make no difference for most uses, but I bought this for my sink cabinet and the extra 3/8" makes the rack hit the drain pipe, thus making the drawer impossible to use. Disappointing, since it's exactly what I needed.

I received my Link Professional 14 by 21 by 4-inch Roll out Chrome Cabinet Drawer on Friday and installed it on Saturday by myself. I am a 64 year old Grandma and not particularly handy, especially when deep inside a base cabinet. However, this installation went very smoothly and the drawer is extremely sturdy. I decided to put my heavy pyrexware pieces on it because they are so heavy to shift around when stacking. With this I can use the entire shelf space and get to them easily.

Now I want to get more so I can organize all my base cabinets. Buy these, you can't go wrong for ease of installation, strength and full usage of the shelf space.

This was fairly easy to install with hand tools (and I'm a "little old lady"): a Phillips screwdriver, plus a hammer and nail to make starter holes for the four wood screws. The instructions were clear and simple. The included alignment guide made measuring unnecessary and was very helpful. The shelf glides easily and pulls out as far as I would want. When the drawer is fully extended, items in the back of the drawer end up at the front edge of the cabinet, where they would be if stored in the cabinet front. You do lose a bit of height; one tall carton had to move to another cabinet. Extra screws were included; to me that's a sign of a good product.

This shelf works great to hold minimal things. I used this shelf to go over my toilet. Since I needed it to be perfectly centered, I wasn't able to put it into a wall stud. The shelf comes with drywall anchors, however I just have two candles sitting on this shelf and it holds it no problem. I put a bowl with stuff on it at first, but it started to sag from the wall. If you don't want to put a lot of stuff on this shelf and need it more for decoration, I would recommend this product. If you want it to hold your encyclopedias, get something else.

I was excited to buy this shelf as I am starting my own massage practice and purchased several different floating shelf units to create a fun space. The edge of the shelf pulled off when pulling it out of the box. The opposite side has some sort of distress marks as well. I paid $20 and am sad I bought this sad little shelf. I do not recommend this shelf to anyone. It is so light, I wouldn't even know what to put on it.

These are better than I expected! The look exactly like the picture and are the perfect length. The finish is even and the hardware was super easy to install, but also very sturdy. I have several heavy picture frames and trinkets and these shelves hold them perfectly. The Espresso stain matches my Espresso furniture to a "T". I am very please with this purchase and would absolutely buy these again if needed.

I ordered 2. One received in great condition, the second cracked on both ends. As always, things never go as expected. Fortunately, after installing the good one in my bathroom just above my toilet, I realized a single ledge looked great. So in the end, I really didn't need the second one. Amazon cheerfully refunded my money for the broken ledge and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a great storage cabinet! I looked around quite a bit before deciding on this one. It was definately the cheapest of all I looked at and I think the best looking. It's totally cute and very functional. It's a cinch to put together comes with very clear instructions and no tools are needed. When it's empty it isn't very heavy and can easily be moved. The 4 shelves are adjustable to different heights as well.
