Sauder Arbor Gate Panel Cherry TV Stand

I purchased this unit for my mother who, in 60 years of having a household, has only purchased very expensive furniture. The unit fit in well with what she has and you'd never know it was so inexpensive. The unit arrived within 48 hours of being ordered and was in perfect condition. I am very pleased with the transaction!

Color is a bit darker than it appears in the photo. Looks very nice once it's assembled, however it does take quite a bit of time to assemble. The directions are pretty easy to follow but there are a lot of individual pieces. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because a few of the pieces didn't fit together quite like they should, but nothing seriously noticeable. Shipping was very fast.

This is a decent product. I have had good luck with this brand before. However, this time, I was rather disappointed in the printed assembly instructions. Also, out of almost 100 parts (NOT including screws) only 10% were actually MARKED. I find this unacceptable. When a company provides an item that must be assembled, they should provide clear, concise documentation, and clearly marked parts. I am a union craftsman, and have worked with my hands for the better part of 35 years, so I KNOW how to assemble things. I think that, given the impediments, that this assembly might be too difficult for a novice.

That being said, I really LIKE the finished product. There are some things that could have been done better, but all in all, it is a really nice and relatively well-made product. As stated above, I've purchased products from this manufacturer before and they always provide a nice, lower cost, alternative to real wood products.

GSC Tall Utility Cabinet

This item looked good and it was just what I was looking for my garage. When it arrived the tape was half way off the top of the box. When I opened the rather flimsy box this medium heavy item was in, several broken black plastic pieces fell out. They were from the very thin black support pieces that seemed to have been broken by the black plastic foot supports that were just loose in the box. I opened the other end and the black plastic was also broken, probably from being banged around while shipped.the sturdier white plastic parts appeared to be intact. I never took the item out of the box, as there was no point. I just re-taped it and returned it, very disappointed, as I had worked half to the day to get the spot ready where it was to be. Now I had a mess in my garage and no place to put the items in that I was planning to use this for!

In short, if the manufacturer had used a little firmer box and added some kind of foam or cardboard bumpers/supports at both ends and packed the loose items in foam then this could have been avoided.

When I got the replacement, a few weeks later, it was a repeat of the first shipment. I returned it also and canceled the order altogether. Two times with the same problem is one time too much for me. I feel the third time would have been just the same.

I chose the GSC Tall Utility Cabinet primarily because of its lockable doors, size, and price. If I need another item like this in the future, I will definitely consider spending more to acquire a higher quality product.

It's definitely easy to assemble (with no tools needed), but there are some issues with the parts fitting with precision. There's no "satisfying click" with many of the parts, and many of the satisfying clicks are accompanied by very unsatisfying bulges appearing in areas that previously clicked. Quite a few of the finishing parts are ever-so-slightly too big to fit cleanly in their slots; they are functional, but give the cabinet a very cheap look.

The worst aspect is definitely quality control. The box that it came in was in very good shape, with no dents or dings. The parts, however, were not. Both of the backing pieces (thin plastic) had several cracks in them, and both the top and bottom had one broken "foot." There are fortunately several extra shelf supports, because one of them was missing and three were melted.

Overall, the GSC Tall Utility Cabinet will serve my needs, but will require some alterations on my part to make it durable. If it were easier to disassemble, re-pack, and return it, I would.

Would I recommend it to a friend? If their primary concern was price, I would, but with hesitation. If they were more concerned with quality, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

ClosetMaid 800200 2 Tier White Storage Rack

The product itself looks OK, but the dimensions are totally different from what is described on the Amazon.com website.

The website says the rack is 0.1 x 12 x 0.1 inches. I knew the two 0.1 inch dimensions had to be bogus, but assumed wrongly that the middle number, the width, was correct.

But no! The rack is 12.5 inches wide, so it does not fit the 12 inch pantry doors I had planned it for, based on the specs on the ad.

I have had similar problems with dimension errors on several other products listed by Amazon, and had to return three prior orders for this reason.

Someone should proof read these ads, as the wrong data makes future sales of such products iffy, if my experience and reaction are any measure.

I own these racks. It's true the actual width is 12.5", but it seems everyone has the wrong dimensions including Home Depot. The actual sizes are 12.5" wide, 10.5" high and 5" deep.

The racks are well made and come with the hardware to bolt them to the door. You have to be careful when you buy them at a local store, in many cases the hardware bag is missing.

I tried using the Amazon tool to update the specs but they have no actual 'upload' button to get the images to them. I can select the files to upload but that's as far as it goes.

I purchased this cart for my wife. She is a nurse and finds it very easy to push around at her job. The assembly goes much easier if you have a good dead-blow plastic hammer, Be sure to use liquid soap on the inside of the pipes (legs) and the tray spindles that go into the legs. Rub a little on each surface. It makes pounding them together much easier. I would recommend this cart for most light duty work situations, or around the house if you have the need.

This cart was carrying a light load a small sound system. First a wheel fell off and the housing disintegrated. Then the shelves came apart. It was not at all sturdy, and it was more difficult than it looks to put together, even for a mechanically-inclined person.

This is a great shelf for the price. I purchased four shelves, two 24" and two 36". Some people have noted that the screws are packed inside of the shelf support and that it can be impossible to get them out. This is true and happens on about half of the shelf supports I opened. However, these are wood screws and I was going for a particular placement that did not line up with my studs. Instead, I used two 1/8" butterfly bolts on each shelf which should be plenty of holding power (approximately 50 lbs each) for the nick-nacks my daughters will use.

The shelves were beautifully packaged to avoid damage in transit and arrived in pristine shape. I highly recommend these shelves.

I ordered 2 of these shelves for my nursery. They arrived each having a corner chipped and slightly damaged, but not bad enough to go through the hassle of returning them. They were pretty simple to install but be sure to use drywall screws and/or anchors otherwise they can't hold any significant weight.

These bookshelves took only minutes to assemble, are sturdy and maintain balance while stacked. No problems with shipping, and the shelves were well packed and undamaged. The shelf-inserts (plastic sheets designed as false "bottoms" to the wire shelves) didn't fit well and there was no was to secure them: this can be remedied by trimming the plastic 1 2 inches on two sides so that it drops down into the frame of the shelf. I bought this shelf to hold baskets of spices, bottles of oil and other foods in my kitchen. I wanted something inexpensive, easy to put together, capable of holding a lot of stuff, and that would look decent. Basically I wanted a utility shelft that didn't look like a utility shelf. This shelf was exactly what I wanted! The plastic liners that come with the shelf leave a bit to be desired (they slip off the shelf if you try to pull anything off that is on top of them), but I just took them off and threw them away, and the shelf still works great! The pegs that are provided to "finish" the top of the shelf supports (or where you stack another shelf if you get one) leave a bit to be desired (they don't really fit in the holes for them great), but for a utility shelf they are fine.

Product came very quickly after it was ordered and appears to be good quality wood but the instructions don't match the product -no "predrawn lines" or "predrilled holes" that are supposed to match up. Nothing said you needed to have carpentry skills to put it together. There is no phone number on the paperwork and the number on the shipping carton is not in service.

I bought three and kept two. One was delivered warped and with too many splinters. It does take some thinking/organizing to assemble and you have to be careful not to use too much force with automatic screwdriver because you will crack the wood every time. I ended up having to purchase additional screws to ensure it held together due to the warping. The quality of the wood is substandard but at least it keeps the tools standing upright and out of harms way.

I had been using a plastic corner yard tool holder. It cracked over the winter and I needed something sturdier. This tool holder seems to fill the buill. My only complaint was the assembly instructions. They could have been clearer. Many of the holes were pre-drilled for us but I still had to drill more holes. Many of the screws provided seemed to long and we ended up with a lot left over. As I said, the instructions could have been clearer. Regardless, so far very happy with the purchase. Hasn't fallen over yet, even though we have had many strong windy days. BTW, the wheels make the unit very easy to move around, too.

Furinno 11132 Easy Assembly 2-Tier Storage Shelf, Cherry

This is a small shelf. I originally planned to use it as a book shelf but it didn't work out that way. So I put it on one of my kitchen counter tops. It turns out to be very useful. It is now my coffee gadget shelf.

The packaging has a mess with little bits of styrofoam all over and it was missing 1 screw, but once I had it cleaned up and assembled, the quality of the bookcase is good. It is a little small but fit right where I wanted it.

The wooden pattern is not on both sides of every piece, and even then, the screw holes are awkwardly placed so that you get some visible portions with a wood patterns and some with just brown plastic. It will look really odd if you don't paint over it. I had planned to paint it black anyway (and it WILL need multiple coats), but I still found that a really odd design oversight.

I should have listened to the other poor reviews the quality of this product is terrible. I purchased a 48" and 2 24" shelves and the finish on all three was completely ruined as if they had packed the product before drying was completed or they got overheated and the plastic melted into the finish. The corners were frayed and the hardware for the shelves is completely useless so soft twisting once with a high-power Dewalt drill practically eats the screw heads in their entirety. The weight of the 48" shelf is too heavy for the simple anchor construction so we may have to reinforce if we actually want to put anything on the shelf.

Don't waste your money on this shelf. The quality is absolutely horrible, not to mention it arrived damaged in numerous places.

I will not purchase any more products from South Shore because of the flimsy cardboard backing, and the cam covers fall right off revealing the screws. Overall, this product is cheaply made, but for the price--go figure. The shelves are as described except the dimensions are woefully off. Each individual shelf is 36" wide X 18" deep. The total unit assembled is indeed approximately 57" high. The extra size kills my ability to set them in the space I had planned out. Otherwise they seem sturdy, and at least the package I opened didn't seem to have damage on any of the parts.

Ordered this shelving to fit a space 23" wide. The amazon description said it measured 22.4" wide. When it arrived, it measured 24.5" wide, did not fit in the space, and had to return it. Disappointing.

I have been looking for a clean minimalistic space-saver for some time now and thought I would give it a try. The product was pretty straight forward to put together. It has Ikea like directions and it takes about 20 mins for 1 person . As a reviewer above suggested the cross bar at the base is tricky if your plumbing intervenes but thankfully I didnt have that problem and its a pretty sturdy unit provided all your screws are tightened. The tempered glass shelves come well protected and sit on suction cups on the corners of the chrome shelf base .very thoughtful! Also the base of the shelves provide a quarter inch lip all around the shelf which prevents small things from falling off.

Its a pretty good buy for the price, Ive had it for about a week and a half and found no problems! Maybe they changed the design and the instruction sheets since the last reviews ..I dont know but thankfully it works for me ! I would recommend it !

Much nicer than expected I used 3 in my closet in place of a 'closet organizer system'. What a bargain!

I purchased about ten of these units several years ago and they perform beyond my expectation. I have moved several times and although I'm sure they weren't meant to be taken apart and moved every 3-5 years, they have held up wonderfully.

They are utilized as fabric storage in my home sewing shop, with large bins filled to the brim so they must stand up to the weight which they have done admirably. One note of caution, care must be taken to orient the same ends of each end post 'up' and then to align the bracket clips so that the shelves are level. If one merely counts 'lines'on the posts and installs the brackets up that way, the shelves will not be level unless each of the end poles are oriented the same way. This probably doesn't make sense until you are putting these shelves together and you no longer have the instructions but someone might as well learn from my lesson of having done it the wrong way. The individual shelves rest on the brackets so a rubber mallet will be needed in order to disassemble the shelving units.

For the love of organization, when you move, put the brackets in a baggie and tape the baggie to the shelving. Losing the brackets during a move is the most frustrating thing imaginable. Spares can be ordered but it's much easier to keep track of them to begin with. Occasionally, after enough assembly and disassembly, the brackets may start to crack so it's a good idea to purchase spares.

These shelf units are attractive, professional looking and sturdy. I can't recommend them highly enough. I did not purchase them from Amazon but it appears to me that they have the lowest price currently. I bought mine at one of the chain home improvement stores but if I ever need more, I will not hesitate to purchase the same thing again.

We store the generator on this cart and it handles well to roll out of the way. Even with the added height and heavy weight on top, this cart is very stable.

Larger wheels would have been nice but our usage is probably not typical and we can handle it as is.

Great cart, easy to clean. The only thing that bothers me is that it's a pull cart. They should have handles at both ends so when it's necessary to push you are able to.

Got this cart to use after we moved to a 3rd floor condo at the beach. It is perfect for carrying anything from groceries to heavy boxes of ceiling fans, etc. Arrived quickly, assembled easily and is very sturdy and easy to maneuver. Much better than anything we could find in stores (including Home Depot, Lowe's, hardware stores, Target, etc.). Highly recommend!
