I bought two of these to add to the John Louis Deluxe tower system. I also bought the canvas liner bags for these which hold the laundry. These baskets install easily they come with a template for marking screw holes and then it's just four screws to install. The rails have really nice ball bearings so they glide in and out easily. The 16 x 20 x 24 size holds a TON of laundry.

ONE GOTCHA these come in two DEPTHS 12 inch for the "Premium" closet system, and 16 inch for the "Deluxe" closet system. I accidentally ordered the 12 inch units first and had to pay return shipping on them. Pay attention to the depth and don't make the same mistake I did!

...because I put the first one together incorrectly. I must say I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the product after assembling the first one. Assembly was quick and easy, but it was the flimsiest and most unstable piece of furniture I ever owned. I put the second one together and quickly realized I had assembled the first one incorrectly. There are black, locking plastic caps/sleeves that at first glance appear to work either direction. They do NOT, and the instructions do not state otherwise either. If you are putting one together and it seems wrong, check the direction of the black plastic caps. Mine were all upside down.

Both are now assembled correctly and I am beyond happy. They had exceeded my expectations and are very, very durable and stable. I realize they are bakers racks, but I wanted something like this for my greenhouse, so I have alot of weight and lights installed on them. Absolutely perfect. And now my wife wants a 3rd for the kitchen.

i highly recommend this product to be used as a storage shelf in just about any application. Very, very versatile.

I bought this for a place to put my microwave and other kitchen items while I redo my countertops and I just love it. It's very sturdy and it was very easy to put together. I wish the description had included the overall sizes because it ended up being a little too big for the space I had.

I'm impressed. This baker's rack is higher quality than I expected.

The shelf is solid maple with a quality satin finish. It extends over the front legs, seamlessly, where other brands have a notch on the front edge. No groove either. I like that, since I'm not using it in the kitchen, and wouldn't cut meat on it in any case.

The legs are strong. Easy assembly. Well packed.

Everything about it is better than I thought it would be. I have several other brand chrome storage racks, up to 3 ft x 6 ft tall. This is the highest quality of them all.

Overall I like this bakers rack. It was quick and easy to put together (about 15-20 mins). A drawback is the depth, though it seems to be about on par with other similar bakers racks. It is not counter-depth, about 2/3 of a normal counter. It is higher than others I had researched, about level with the counter; good height.

Piper 60" TV Stand

This is perfect for my 60 inch plasma tv! Easy to put together. Just needed help to center the panels when putting on the top piece which is heavy. Very heavy. Looks great! I like that it isn't just plain black. Shows a little bit of wood grain all over. Is made from particle board, but heavy and doesn't feel or look cheap. Great price too!

Winsome Terrace 5-Piece Storage Shelf/Bookcase

This little storage unit came in three boxes. One contained the shelving and assembly hardware, the other two contained the wicker baskets to be used once the unit was assembled. The shelving was about what I expected, veneer coated MDF shelves with cam-lock hardware. The color description and the actual color were a little "off" as far as I'm concerned. The shelving is close to what I would call a "brown black." The fit and finish was actually pretty precise compared to some other similar pieces I've purchased over the years. It took me a little more than an hour to unpack and assemble things, and another half hour cleaning up Styrofoam chips and the like that got scattered during unpacking. All the drilling and installed plastic fittings were within good tolerances. Only one out of twenty of the plastic glued in place screw plugs which hold the little metal bars that the cam fittings lock in place "spun loose" when I over torqued the bar a hair, but it didn't pull out of the shelf, so I was able to use it without re-gluing. Every part was described in the set up instructions and they were pretty easy to follow. My only complaint is that one of the small baskets seems to have a darker stain job than the rest, possibly because the woven material on the front of the darker basket was denser than the materials in the other baskets, or more likely, because it got spray painted a little longer than the other baskets did. The shelf unit back comes in two pieces which you have to join using a little plastic track. I found that part of the assembly a little "tacky" and was glad that the baskets hide the ridge made by the plastic strip which holds the two back parts together. The back is made that way so that everything can be packed and shipped in a single relatively compact box with little wasted space in it.

We purchased the unit so that we could put a small TV on top of it and have some extra storage for guests to use, and it fits the bill nicely. I would not plan to put anything really heavy in the baskets or the shelves might get scratched or warp. It seems strong enough to hold the 35lb 30" wide 4" thick old TFT screen TV we recently retired from our master bedroom in favor of a larger set, and it puts it at about the right height for a guest to watch lying in bed or sitting up against the backboard. It gets along well with our 1920's blanket chest and an older inexpensive two drawer storage unit that used to have a marble top that my wife keeps for sentimental reasons, it belonged to her grandmother, and it gets used to store blankets and stuff we rarely use. If we had invested in newer furniture or had valuable antiques in that room I would have ordered something a little fancier.

5 Shelf Bookcase Black Wood Finish

i bought this bookcase at Wal-Mart for only 30 dollars. Very easy assembly and sturdy construction. The wood looks good and its pretty big, its about 6 feet.

This shelf is not safe to use as a bookcase. Once fully assembled, following the instructions, it is flimsy at best under load. I filled the bookcase with books and immediately noticed the shelves starting to sag.

Today I tried to move the case up so I could sweep and it almost collapsed onto itself. Would not recommend this product to anyone with children as it, in my opinion, would cause danger to small curious children. Save your money for a few weeks and buy a usable piece of furniture.

Before you buy this from Amazon... take a look at your local Wal*Mart and you'll probably save $90. I bought two of these for $60 in September 2007 and almost three years later (July 2010) they are still standing strong. They haven't been moved since I placed them in my home office so that probably has contributed to their excellent condition. Regardless, each shelf has held a variety of books, collectibles, DVDs and CDs and after nearly three years, none of them have begun to bow. I later bought two more for my living room because of their excellent quality. They do not look cheap at all!

Very easy to assemble, but I would recommend having a battery operated or electric drill to save time.

I used Mainstays shelves (exclusively!) while attending graduate school. I had a shorter version of this product collapse on me twice. Why? Because the backing tends to separate from the top and sides, causing the sides to waver, which then leads to the shelves sliding off the little metal supports underneath them. I would urge you to do as I did, especially with this size bookshelf: take the measurements to Lowes and tell them you want the most rigid, lightweight wood they have for your purposes (bookshelf). Ask them to drill increments of holes (unless you have a drill) for nails or wood screws (I used large screws but you can ask them which kind they would suggest; make sure to buy enough of those). Shouldn't cost more than a few dollars, total. Finally, go home and assemble the thing without the factory backboard, and put your custom backboard on.

Also, expect the shelves to bow. But it's a tall, deep bookshelf that will last forever. And it's cheap.

Folding Piper Bakers Rack - Black

I recently had my deck renovated and did not want a lot of planters messing up the new waterproof surface. Although I had already seen this item on Amazon I thought I would prefer to see a plant rack in person before purchasing it. I drove all over West Los Angeles but I could not find anything that came close to this unit. So I ordered it and was told it would be delivered around mid-November. I really didn't want to wait that long but what choice did I have? Today, November 2, the doorbell rang and it was the UPS guy with my bakers rack!

It is just perfect. The black metal finish matches my patio table and chairs (and my security door leading out to the deck) which is why I was not interested in anything I had seen in a green finish.

First of all, as soon as I took the unit out of the package it practically set itself up. No loose parts, it merely unfolds and hey presto, you have a plant stand. It is very sturdy but not too heavy for me to move around myself. I am glad I bought the three-shelf unit rather than the four as my geraniums are all taller than I realized.

As soon as I put my plants on the shelves I walked back into my office and ordered two more of these racks. Now I can't wait to see that UPS truck in the street!

UPDATE:

As of July 29, 2012 I now own five of these units. However, I see the price now is at $149.00 I bought mine at $112.00 and $122.00 and they are worth that much. I did have two small problems. One of the racks arrived with a bent cantilever that holds the shelf. But with a few taps with the hammer I was able to straighten it out and now it is fine. Also one of the back legs was bent about five degrees. I could have straightened that out with a hammer too but it did not affect the stability so I didn't bother. Also, the coating on the last one I received was spotty in some places but not serious enough to return.

I still love these racks, they are perfect for me and I get a lot of compliments on the way they show off all my geraniums.

For what I needed these were fine. I am using them to display product in trade shows and I expect them to get a bit beat up. However, they arrived a little on the rough side. I ordered 3 in total and 2 arrived bent just enough to be noticeable and at one point difficult to open. I was able to sort of bend back into place enough to work. The boxes they arrived in were intact, so I do not think this took place in shipping.

In the picture provided, this Folding Rack appeared to be exactly what I was looking for to display my shade loving potted plants on my front porch in Florida. Actually, this is the first time I have not been pleased with a purchase from Amazon. The flimsy cardboard box used to ship them allowed for them to get bent so badly that I had to have a strong man with the use of vise grips and a hammer to bend it enough so it could be used. Not all of the surface received paint in the manufacturing process and therefore will rust unless I apply some rust preventative paint. I ordered two of these racks and would have inquired about returning them had there not been personal time constraints. For price, these racks are not a good buy. Considering the damage and poor quality, $40 or less would be a reasonable and fair price.

We were pleased with this item. For the price one would not necessarily expect the sturdiness of this rack. It folds up nicely and is compact for its height. It would be a simple yet mildly elegant addition to anyone's patio. Lovely to put plants or candles on, or just a nice way to un-clutter an area. Did have to bend back slightly a couple of the hooks to open it when it first arrived. Be careful not to pry too far as these are the same hooks that hold the shelves when the unit is fully deployed.

Product cracked during shipping, along the edges, at the weak points.

It was still usable, but has some sharp edges where pieces of the plastic have chipped off.

The actual durability of the main shelf area is fine, I am even convinced it can accommodate the weight advertised.

I like the surface of the shelves.

I like the way the units can hook together.

I like the size of the shelves.

But there are some very weak points in the plastic molding around the edges, that do easily crack during shipping.

One of the shelves had the bottom part, where the pole connects, with enough of the plastic cracked off that this one shelf became unusable.

Coloring of poles was not the same as the shelves. This can not be seen in the image.

Shelf unit is built well, however 1st unit was damaged enough to make it unuseable. Amazon quickly replaced, 2nd unit was damaged but could be repaired(insert leg broke off) packing is made for retail sale and should not be shipped in a box made for retail packaging.-no corner protectors, just a cardboard box.

These shelves are maybe light to medium duty. I am highly doubtful that if you fully loaded the shelves to 150 lbs the unit would support the total weight of 750 lbs. The "feet" are just small plastic extrusions that are not very substantial. They get broken in shipping! There is no option for leveling feet so you cannot use this on an uneven floor. For most homeowners this would be fine. If you expect to load this up with heavy tools forget it. Get a metal shelf unit and pay more. I bought this to use in a damp environment.

All the hooks on the side of the shelves came broken. I didn't know it came with hooks, so I'm not too upset. But if I did count on those hooks, I would have had to return it.
