Oenophilia Alexander 40-Bottle Cellar Wine Rack

I looked and looked at wine racks. This TOTALLY fits the bill. I am now storing 40 bottles on this rack in a closet I turned into a wine cellar! Well, I am not rich, so I guess I cannot afford a wine cellar, so a wine closet will do! Solid, easy to put up comes with screws that you will need-although, the screws are soft and easy to strip-you might have to get other screws-unless you tap it and drill it out first then you should be fine.

This was the perfect wine rack for our small, space-challenged apartment. We anchored it into the wall and were lucky enough to hit a stud. It is not going anywhere! We used our own wall anchors because the anchors that it came with were a little flimsy. If you plan to anchor it into the wall the bottom securing bar is a little over four inches off the ground. The wall we wanted to put it on has a 5.25 inch base board so we had to find another place to put it which wasn't a problem because it is so narrow. It won't win any awards for style but it's not unattractive.

We definitely recommend this wine rack. You can't beat the price for how many bottles it holds and it's extremely easy to set up.

This is a great unit for basic wine storage and holds more bottles for the given space than anything I have seen. I installed this in a pantry space so the utilitarian appearance is not an issue. That said there a few things to note in addition to the other constructive reviews here.

The width is actually 15.5 inches where the angled supports are attached near the top. A height clearance of 41 inches is needed to utilize the top row. While you may be able to put a couple of 1.5 liter bottles on the top row the width is not designed to accommodate them. All of my 750 ml wine bottles went in ok but champaigne bottles are a tight squeeze and will only fit in the two center positions of each row.

Nice and sturdy, but it doesn't appear that it would be at first. I was a little disappointed that the bottom rows are for small bottles and the top rows is for bigger bottles (but you could put a regular sized bottle in any of them). I thought I'd be able to put my big heavier bottles on the bottom... seems a little backwards to me.

Overall, I'm glad I bought it. I would buy again.

This stuff has been on the market at least since I was a wee tot (and I'm now almost 49), my mom used it all the time, even though I can't say we ever had a major problem with ants or bugs. (Maybe because she used this product.) She used it all over the kitchen, pantry, and in dressers, etc. But anywhere that food or dishes were stored, or if it would come in contact with towels, dainties, etc, she just put a layer of regular shelf paper on top of it so the insecticidal paper wouldn't come in contact with those things. That will be up to you, but I have been searching high and low for this since I am having a major ant problem. I am having to store everything in containers with tight lids, even unopened things that come in plastic bags like brown sugar. I'm glad I found it here and if it works as well as it used to, it will be a big help. One last hint: my mom would re-do all the shelves once a year, at least in the kitchen and pantry, for 'spring cleaning'. I imagine the insecticide will wear off after awhile, so it's a good idea. I will update this after I've deployed my paper to let you know if it's still up to snuff!

I have used this product for years, but have been unable to find it locally. I use it wherever I have paper products, it really keeps the silverfish away. I also put some in the boxes of Christmas decorations, boxes of linens and other things that attract bugs when I store them in the garage. Although I do not have pets or small children, if used properly there should be no problem with using it around either.

1. Amazon Description gives the impression that it includes the frame. But it does not and it will cost you over 60$ to get that separately. It must state clearly that for this item you need to buy the frame separately or it will be worthless.

2. The cover has total of 3 cheap buttons to fasten the front (instead of a zipper or at least more buttons!) and dust can easily migrate into the cover!! Which defeats the purpose.

Unfortunately none of the comments included this information and it seems I am the only one who was dumb enough not to know what I am getting or dislike what I got.

If you want to protect your clothing, get something else. I returned this product.

I ordered three of the frosted 4ft shelves and they all arrived intact. They were much heaver than I had expected, but the mounting rails hold the weight just fine. It took about an hour to mount the rail on the wall. I have an old house and I had to find the studs before I could put up the shelves. I had to re-drill the holes in the rail to match the position of the studs. I used a drill press and the aluminum rail was easy to drill through. the hard part was getting the rail mounted level. There is not much play in the mounting holes so it is important to drill the holes in the wall carefully. I was working alone and if there had been someone else around, it would have been much easier. Now that they are up, they look great!

One of the reasons I purchase this over the toilet Etagare was because it was listed as 34 inch it is not it is.24 inch wide. Otherwise it is very sturdy and good looking furniture.

Check the bottom back slat to make sure that it is high enough to fit the toilet water cables . That was the reason I gave only 4 stars.

I like to have a home for everything and this does the trick. Space savers are not deep enough to hold bath towels however they are great for everything else

Mantel Top For Folding/stacking Bookcase

Although I ordered the correct size, this piece was off by a couple of milimeters. It did not fit on the bookcase much to my disappointment.

It also arrived cracked and with a chip in the wood.

I contacted the sellers who said that I had to return the one I had and place a new order for another one. I asked for either a refund or for them to send me a replacement immediately, neither of which they can do.

It it too much of a pain to face the postoffice and return such a bulky item.

Just beware that this may arrived damaged and it may not fit the bookcase.

I had a similar experience as the other reviewer. The holes in the top are off and do not fit the bookcase. I will probably just gauge out the holes on my own to make them fit, but pretty disappointing.

Like the other reviewers' experiences, the holes drilled in the bottom of my mantel top were a couple millimeters off just enough where it would not fit. The bookcase looks very unfinished without the top; either you have four black pegs sticking out, or you can remove those and have four large holes on the top. Therefore I wouldn't recommend this mantel top OR the bookcase. Very disappointing!

Bought the bookcase and the top, sold separatelywhat a scam. The bookcase really isn't bad, but the top is just garbage, holes are poorly aligned; thing rocks like a ship at sea. I will probably return the top, but they grabbed an additional shipping cost, which is probably the reason they sold them separately.

I am so tired of getting all this junk from Amazon that I could just move to the woods like Thoreau and buy a spinning wheel like Ghandi. My wife feels otherwise. She likes the bright lights.

If you must store books, buy the bookcase. Skip the top. Throw out whatever you were planning to place on it. That's what I did.
