I had my contractor install this as well as the rest of the Pegasus Estates collection fixtures in my new powder room. I love the way it looks. The shelf is a very elegant upgrade from the aged stainless steel one we used to have.

At first, the glass shelf rocked back and forth a lot and I was pretty unhappy with its instability. I was going about looking for little buttons or something to stabilize it. This was assuming that my contractor installed it correctly. Just on a whim, I decided to tighten the knobs even further. More stable, less rocking. Huh. I kept doing it, even past the point where you could almost hear the glass squeaking from the pressure, but there are cushions built in, so you have a lot of leeway before you crack the glass.

Finally, the shelf is steady, super strong, and as gorgeous as the rest of the new bathroom.

Love it. And the price is incredibly reasonable for a glass bath shelf in bronze.

Granite Contact Paper, 18" x 9'

I purchased this contact paper in the hopes of covering over top of my old ugly RED countertop and it WORKED!!!! I want to remodel the kitchen, but for the time being, I wanted a quick fix that would look nice and it did the job! I would definately suggest this product. It was easy to work with and came up nicely when there were bubbles/wrinkles to remove. I used an old credit card to smooth it out. I did have some bubbles here and there, so I used a pin to poke a little hole and smoothed it out. Also, I do have a seem since the width wasn't wide enough to cover the entire counter, but since the way it is designed with the granite look, you can't even tell unless the light shines on it or you run your hand across it (I put the seem in the back of the counter top to try and hide it better since I have my canisters, toaster, etc along the back). Yes, I had a few headaches doing this, but I also had 2 little children trying to help :)

I got this for about six dollars per roll with free 2 day prime shipping and couldn't be more pleased. It is actual Con-tact brand, which matters for durability and adhesive quality.

Anyways, as you can imagine, squee-jee-ing the stuff on without major bubbles or wrinkles is a feat. It took me a few hours to do the counter tops BUT it was well worth it since I'm in a rental house I love (but cannot change the tacky yellow counters.) The final product is quite handsome, considering the total cost for all the counters was under 20 bucks. It looks like faux granite-definitely not like the real stuff, but also not like 40 year old scratched counters with stickers slapped on top, which is essentially what it is. :)

The sink is easy to cut around, for what it's worth-some tutorials online suggest cutting it perfectly to fit. That would drive me crazy. I cut out a hole for the sink, but a very rough one-and then used a common steak knife to cut the precise edges once the stuff was already stuck on evenly. Overlapping bits peeled right off the sink. Trust me, the stuff has some give/stretchiness (not unlike a tee shirt) so you don't really want to measure things until it's already down.

For air bubbles, try poking them with a tack or sewing needle and decompressing slowly. For wrinkles, try slicing and overlapping the pieces. The almost imperceptible line is WAY better than a grime-catching wrinkle.. or worse: tearing the thing up in frustration.

This is an amazing product if you're willing to tweek it. It's needs effort and patience to be installed right.

Tools I used:

Sharp scissors, hair cutting size

Razor Knife

Large Phillips head screw driver

Large Flat Head screw driver (for prying and lifting sink)

Folded index card for smooshing bubbles

Several straight pens

Hot Glue Gun

Rubber Dishwashing gloves

I live in an old farmhouse and I have nasty stained fake wood counters, no matter what I used to clean them they looked like crap. The first thing I did was remove the "Beading/Trim" section on the back of my counter that joins the wall. Mine was nailed so I just pried it off with a hammer and put it back on the same way.

Secondly if you can; undo your sink clamps. This will allow you to stick the paper right under the edge of the sink rather than trying to cut. I threw away one big piece trying to cut perfectly around my sink.

Third, lift up sections of the sink with the flathead screwdriver and slide small long skinny sections of paper under it. When I first started I had about a 2" outline of contact paper just around my sink. Don't worry the seams won't show, which is a great plus about this paper.

Fourth put the clamps back on the sink or it will wiggle, I put my clamps on last but I should have done it fourth.

Next take large sections and stick them down. I cut long ones the width of the paper. Stick them so they are smooth. This will require one or two resticks and then smooshing down with an index card. Use a pin to pop air bubbles. I stuck the pin in at a 45degree angle, then resmoosh. Don't worry about your edges right now.

***The edges won't stick, they peel up...this is what the hot glue is for in the last step***

Put contact paper everywhere you need it, and smooth it down. If there is a great deal of over hang trim it off with the scissors. You need about 2-3" to work with for the edges.

Finally take the hot glue gun and several sticks of glue ( I had a mini gun a big one may not require so much) and put a rubber glove or garden glove on the hand you aren't using to operate the gun. The glove is so you don't get burned. First put as smooth as possible a pretty thick layer of glue in about a 10" section of the bare counter facing toward you. I cut slits in the over hang paper every 10" so it would be easier. Give the overhang bit a tug a tightly secure it to the counter over the hot glue, the smoosh it down with the hand that's wearing the glove.

Wait about a minute and glue the underside of the counter where the rest of the paper will go, this was kind of an upside down motion with the gun so you may have to hold a glue stick in if it gets low. Then just smooth down the final bit with your gloved hand.

I had to trim the final bit with a razor knife to clean it up a bit, you may or may not have to do this.

Overall this is a great product. It looks fabulous and you can't see seems or where you popped bubbles. The craptastic part is it doesn't stick to the edges...at least not mine. Mine were really rough so if you have nice smooth ones you might forgo the hot glue. But, if you had nice smooth countertops you probably aren't covering them with contact paper.

The only other issue I had with this was it took 4 days for the seller to get around to shipping. I had to email and complain and it magically got shipped and I received it next day; so keep an eye out for that.

Overall I give it 4 stars, just because I had to tweek it with hot glue. But I bought 2 packs for $14 something including shipping and it was worth every penny. It looks amazing.

The Rubbermaid closet organizer that I bought from Amazon is wonderful. I ordered these brackets to customize the unit. Turns out I should have paid more attention to the product number identifier. These brackets were not meant to go with the unit I had previously purchased. So, just a caution to other buyers, there are several different units that are not interchangable! I managed to use these brackets anyway (by being creative, LOL), but it would have been good if I would have checked first to make sure this product was the same as the one I was using it on.

Winsome Terrace 5-Piece Storage Shelf/Bookcase

This little storage unit came in three boxes. One contained the shelving and assembly hardware, the other two contained the wicker baskets to be used once the unit was assembled. The shelving was about what I expected, veneer coated MDF shelves with cam-lock hardware. The color description and the actual color were a little "off" as far as I'm concerned. The shelving is close to what I would call a "brown black." The fit and finish was actually pretty precise compared to some other similar pieces I've purchased over the years. It took me a little more than an hour to unpack and assemble things, and another half hour cleaning up Styrofoam chips and the like that got scattered during unpacking. All the drilling and installed plastic fittings were within good tolerances. Only one out of twenty of the plastic glued in place screw plugs which hold the little metal bars that the cam fittings lock in place "spun loose" when I over torqued the bar a hair, but it didn't pull out of the shelf, so I was able to use it without re-gluing. Every part was described in the set up instructions and they were pretty easy to follow. My only complaint is that one of the small baskets seems to have a darker stain job than the rest, possibly because the woven material on the front of the darker basket was denser than the materials in the other baskets, or more likely, because it got spray painted a little longer than the other baskets did. The shelf unit back comes in two pieces which you have to join using a little plastic track. I found that part of the assembly a little "tacky" and was glad that the baskets hide the ridge made by the plastic strip which holds the two back parts together. The back is made that way so that everything can be packed and shipped in a single relatively compact box with little wasted space in it.

We purchased the unit so that we could put a small TV on top of it and have some extra storage for guests to use, and it fits the bill nicely. I would not plan to put anything really heavy in the baskets or the shelves might get scratched or warp. It seems strong enough to hold the 35lb 30" wide 4" thick old TFT screen TV we recently retired from our master bedroom in favor of a larger set, and it puts it at about the right height for a guest to watch lying in bed or sitting up against the backboard. It gets along well with our 1920's blanket chest and an older inexpensive two drawer storage unit that used to have a marble top that my wife keeps for sentimental reasons, it belonged to her grandmother, and it gets used to store blankets and stuff we rarely use. If we had invested in newer furniture or had valuable antiques in that room I would have ordered something a little fancier.

This stand is what I expected and more. It took me about an hour to put together, but everything fit like a glove. the package even came with a pen to cover any scratches (which i did'nt need). the stand is low to the ground placing my 46' LG flat screen at a perfect height. It has a lot of room in the cabinets. I placed my PS3 in the left-hand side cabinet, my Xbox in the right-hand cabinet, my receiver in the lower-middle shelf, my cable box right above that and my center speaker above that. all in all this is a great unit. highly advise it.

For over 2 months my wife and I looked EVERYWHERE to find the perfect unit to house our components since I just mounted the 40" LCD on the wall. We needed certain colors, height and width dimensions and also wanted to hide everything behind glass doors. This unit was PERFECT!

I had 2 concerns with this unit though.

1) My Harmony 880 Universal Remote (Buy one of these!!) wouldn't be able to penetrate the frosted glass.

2) Enclosing my components (most importantly the PS3 and receiver) behind doors would cause overheating.

I'm happy to report that none of my fears came true. The Harmony works through the frosted doors with ease.

I'm also happy to report that my components won't overheat. My last step in the building process was to attach the backing material to the unit. Before doing so I tried to wiggle the unit a little bit and it was rock solid. As a result I left the backing unit off so everything is open in the back.

If I was placing my TV on the stand then I probably would have installed the backing but since I don't have that weight I probably don't need the extra support.

I have nothing bad to say about this unit.

I just put this together by myself in about 2 hours. I know the guy that reviewed this before me says he did it in an hour but I'm the type that reads everything and checks every part. Either way, pretty simple construction yet once it's completed the stand is very sturdy. I even sat on it so it can withstand a rather heavy TV if needed to but I wouldn't suggest trying to put a larger CRT TV on it mostly cause of how deep they would be. The stand is moreso built for the new flat-panel TVs which mine will be supporting a 40" LCD HDTV. Oh, on a side note: those little round things you see at the bottom of the picture are just little plastic knobs, not rollers or metal feet. Just plastic. The silver supports on the top shelf where the TV sits are actual metal. Thought people might want to know that before ordering.

We purchased this stand on Amazon with a little trepidation, having had bad experiences with DIY assembly furniture in the past... especially items made in China. We were very very pleased however with this unit.

The materials used are high quality MDF, and every pre-drilled hole and plug was in exactly the right position. (No off-center or missing holes like many previous items we have assembled). The unit is made in Quebec, Canada, and the company is clearly dedicated to quality! The assembly manual was thorough and understandable. Every illustration in the manual showed each piece precisely as it should be oriented, with every pre-drilled hole shown in the illustration. This is critically important, because it eliminates the potential for assembling any piece the wrong way and having to start over.

Each piece is clearly marked with a code that is referenced in the manual, and the company ships the unit with a few extra small items like plastic dowels... "just in case"!

Assembly was straightforward and timed at exactly one hour... including downing two cups of coffee during assembly!

The description on the Amazon site shows this base as limited to a 40" TV, but we found our 47" Vizio (85lbs) fit without issue and looks great on the stand. (The manual indicates a maximum weight on the top shelf at 185lbs.)

As others here have mentioned, the smoked glass on the cabinet doors does NOT inhibit infrared remote use. We have a DirecTV satellite box in the cabinet, and the remote works perfectly through the door. (See the user picture I have posted on this page with notes)

I ordered the unit on 1 December with PRIME 2-day shipping (With the caveat that Amazon stated a 2-5 day processing time on the item's order page)

On 3 Dec, Amazon's Order Tracking indicated that the item had been shipped and that delivery was scheduled for 4 December

4th and 5th December passed without delivery, so I called FedEx to ask about the tracking number. They said they hadn't yet taken possession of the stand, only a pickup order.

I called South Shore's number in Canada to ask "what's up" and spoke to a VERY NICE lady who advised me that all their products get delayed by CUSTOMS at the border. Understandable BUT Amazon should clearly reflect this possible delay in shipping, and provide more accurate shipping data.

Stand finally arrived on 8th of December via FedEx. Not bad for the item, but caused some frustration due to Amazon's inaccurate tracking and delivery estimate.

In summary, this is a GREAT stand; easily assembled; functional and esthetically pleasing. And while Amazon dropped the ball a bit on shipping data, this unit is still HIGHLY recommended!!

Collapsible Clothing Rack-Commercial Grade

If you are a first time buyer or someone like me, who watched their clothing rack slowly lean and then fall over right in front of my eyes, this is the last stop for you. This is the real deal. I didn't know it was the real thing just by looking at the picture or by almost all of the great reviews on it. It seemed like it was well made. In the product description it says, "It's the same classic, salesperson's garment rack that has been used with confidence by professional salespeople for decades". I thought it's to bad I never paid any attention to garment racks before because if I had I'd know what they were talking about.

I went ahead and bought one. They don't cost much. It gets delivered to me and I'm thinking I'll have to read some assembly instructions written by someone who speaks english as a distant language. As I pull the rack out of the box I realize I won't be needing any assembly instructions because it's already assembled! (well almost, except for the top part you hang your clothes on). So it took me about two minutes to swing the left and right upright bars into place and then grab the top part and push it down into the position I want it in and then 'Snapped' it in place.

As you look at it you realize this is made out of steel. All the steel is joined together by perfect welds and anything that isn't welded is securely fastened by heavy duty nuts and bolts, i.e. the 4" ball bearing casters. Be aware that there are four plastic (heavy duty) parts. They are placed over the steel tubing that slightly protrudes past each 4" ball bearing caster so that when you move the rack (with ease) and accidentally bump into something the small white plastic "bumper" will tap it instead of 1" O.D. chrome steel tubing. When you look at this rack you realize you have no buyers remorse. It looks and feels like it's going to last for a hundred years. Before putting any clothes on it you have a sense that this rack is not going to lean or fall over during those hundred years. You can even pull out the left and right top tubing about a foot more on each side for that extra room that I know I need. I've had this thing loaded with clothes for over a year and it's as solid and versatile as the day I took it out of the box and realized I didn't have to put something together for once.

Do I like the clothing rack?, I think so. Do I recommend this clothing rack to people who don't know anything about clothing racks but hope they make the right decision the first time or the people who have experienced, as I have, the ahhh and no mystery of plastic and metal clothing racks crumbling before their very eyes, YES!!!

If you are looking for a heavy duty garment rack, this is it. I purchased the first one to free up closet space and I just had to get a second one for guests. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this rack. I keep thinking of uses for them if I only had MORE. I could use a few next to the dryer, a few in the attic, and even one next to our door for guests to hang (or US to hang) our coats on. The possibilities are endless.

I had it out of the box and was using it in five minutes.

Whoever couldn't find the instructions, they are in the packing slip on the OUTSIDE of the box. They are VERY easy to follow, and I attached the top rack with no difficulty at all (I just attached one end to a support pole and pulled on the other end to hold it still and extend the poles from each other to attach the top rod. SIMPLE and easy!)

I also ordered the regular rack that doesn't fold down. I love it too, but this is nice because you can tuck it away when not in use.

I want more MANY MORE!!!!

Yeah, when my box arrived it wasn't in the BEST shape, but this thing is SOLIDLY built.

this garment rack has survived a move of 1000 miles, 1 year of storage in a NON climate controlled storage unit is SUNNY/HOT/HUMID FLORIDA.

This rack is STILL GOING STRONG, I have cloths hung on it SO TIGHT I'll bet it is holding 100 pounds of clothing. IT IS A WORK HORSE. It has been banged around in the back of a pickup, and has helped hold clothes out doors for yard sales events. STILL WORKS AND LOOKS GREAT, I could not be more pleased!!!!

Based on the excellent reviews, I wasn't expecting any problems from this collapsible clothing rack. However, when it arrived I found that the box did not contain assembly instructions or any information about the product whatsoever. This wouldn't normally be a big deal since the item is pretty much two big pieces BUT the box also included two hook-like metal parts and two small metal circles which I can't for the life of me figure out what to do with. Am I supposed to secure the wheels or the rack with these parts? Are they extra? Why is there no information?

Additionally, after I had assembled the rack and added my 200+ lbs of clothes, I found that one of the wheels was being obstructed by a screw below it, which was preventing it from rolling smoothly. I then had to remove the 200+ lbs, disassemble the rack, and play around with the screws for a good 30 minutes before it would even roll over my carpet. It's not 100% smooth but at least it's more mobile than it was. Thankfully the rack appears strong and sturdy otherwise it would be going back to its seller.
