Easy to put together and very durable, bright colors go with boys or girls (we have 2 yr olds, one of each) and holds more books than you'd think. Open top shelf allows for those tall kids books that do not seem to fit in other shelves. definitely worth the money. Shelves good height for toddlers and preschoolers. Rounded edges minimize head-bonking potential. Slightly angled downward to the back of the shelf to keep books from falling out.

I just bought this for my 2 year old. I was concerned because of the smell that some reported on their reviews, however the smell is brief, i.e. it was gone before I finished putting the bookcase together and didn't linger. The bookcase is very solid (excellent quality) and very cute. The shelves are not high enough for books like "Look and Find", unless you use the top shelf of course. There is a lot of screwing during the assembly so, a power screwdriver might be helpful. I put it together alone, but it would be slightly easier with an additional set of hands. Also, I didn't notice anyone mentioning this in other reviews, but you can add on to this bookcase by buying an additional one and stacking to save space. If you decided to do this, remember you will need to find a way to harness the bookcase to the wall to avoid tipping. Just an idea.

I bought this for my son when he was a year old and it has been perfect for his toys and books. He had a taller shelf before that and I always worried that he would knock it over, but I have no such worries with this one. This one is the perfect height for a small child and it's absolutely adorable. It was easy to put together and I feel that it is sturdily constructed. I certainly never worry about it breaking. I am so pleased that we bought this shelf and I would recommend it to anyone who has a young child.

My wife wanted a TV stand that looked like "real furniture" and I needed something strong enough and deep enough to hold my big Pioneer receiver. After much searching we settled on the Techcraft BAY4828. The product is a mix of laminated fiberboard with a few pieces of laminated wood where it's needed such as with the top TV stand part. The door hinges are solid and the glass on the doors is tempered. The one we received is a fair amount darker than the pictures but luckily it still fits nicely in with the room and our other furniture. Overall assembly was easy and took about 2 hours. I've put together quite a few of these "IKEA" like build your own things and this one went together a bit easier than most. One flaw with the instructions was with how the hinges and doors fit in. I spent quite a bit of time looking for some non-existent pieces. Luckily the screw holes for the hinges were clearly marked so I just screwed them in. Everything lined up and it works fine. Overall the instructions were fairly easy to follow.

I ordered this 60" Wide Flat Panel Hiboy from Amazon when it was sold and shipped directly from Amazon. I chose this item based on the reviews here and the photos of it. We've searched for a long time to find the right unit for us.

The unit arrived in 3 days. Remarkable service by Amazon. However, the unit is not well packaged. The top piece has a smashed corner, and the box is damaged in the same place. There is no cushioning, protective packaging for the corners of this furniture piece, so nothing protects it if dropped in shipping.

So we've had it for one day now. Unfortunately the piece that is damaged is the largest and most difficult part to get to in the packaging. We hoped that the manufacturer, Techcraft, would agree to replace just the piece that is damaged. They have a form on their website to request just such a remedy. I'm waiting to hear from them if they will just send us a new top piece.

However, Amazon is in the way of all these reparations. According to Amazon customer service, from a supervisor in Panama, the only recourse we have is to have a whole new unit shipped to us; and we have to repackage and send back the ENTIRE unit as a return. This is unnecessary hassle and inconvenience to us as customers, and very lazy customer service by Amazon. Amazon could work with us and Techcraft to have that single piece replaced for us (it's even numbered as a separate replaceable part), so that we would only have to send that part back as a return. Amazon is refusing to do this, insisting we must jump through all these inconvenient hoops to get a new unit that may possibly be damaged in shipping, too.

Techcraft will very likely be most willing to replace just the part that was damaged. But Amazon is requiring that we send the whole unit back, and will charge us for the replacement if we don't send the whole order back. So we will be unable to take Techcraft up on any offer to send us a replacement part.

I like that Amazon sent the unit to us so quickly, and with free shipping. But the furniture piece is heavy and unwieldy and will be difficult to put all back into the box to return. Likely the rest of the unit will get scratched or damaged by our amateur furniture packaging. This doesn't make sense that Amazon won't work with us and the manufacturer to get us that single piece replaced that we need.

The Hiboy is now being shipped and sold by a third party. Apparently they are the ones who will be sending us our new replacement unit. I am very unhappy with this whole experience with Amazon. I will never buy a large piece of furniture from Amazon again.

UPDATE: Okay, so we contacted Amazon and they sent a complete replacement unit, pronto. We got it today, 9/13, and it was in WORSE condition than the first item they sent to us. This box was tattered and disheveled, like it had really been abused in shipment. We had it delivered to our personal address at the local UPS Store, which is our delivery address. The manager there advised us to not accept the shipment, as it was so evident the inside contents would be very damaged.

So, Amazon, we're sending this one back, not as a "return" (needing a return label), but as a REFUSED shipment. Please send us another one as a replacement for THIS one, which is a replacement for the original order which was damaged in shipping. The packaging on this item is just shockingly inadequate.

In the meantime, TechCraft quickly agreed to send us just a replacement for the damaged cabinet top. So we're expecting that next.

Beware of ordering this unit. It's a beautiful tv console stand, but the shipping is so careless and haphazard, you may not get what you pay for!

After reading the reviews on this product I was a bit concerned on what the shipment would look like on arrival. From the first look it appears the shipper has made a few adjustments that are working. First there were hard cardboard angles supports attached to each outer edge of the box. They looked like they took some hits but did their job. Upon opening the box my concerns were dispelled as several inches of hard Styrofoam surrounded the edges of the box and additional protective material around each piece. Needles to say, there were no bumps or scratches.

I would agree with the others that the coloring is much darker, but my wife and I think it makes the furniture look even better. We are very happy with the look now that it is setup.

We recently re-arranged our family room and needed a corner TV stand. It had to be black to match our other tables in the room, and I wanted a wide open space under the TV to fit a sound bar. This combination proved very difficult to find, and this tech craft unit was one of the few to meet all our needs. I would have preferred to get a solid wood stand, but the only ones I could find fitting our needs were over $1000 from BDI and Salamander. So we decided to give this one a try.

The stand arrived quickly, delivered to our door. It was very well packed with no damage to speak of. Unfortunately, it required full assembly. The only things pre-assembled were the glass doors and the sides. I'm a pretty handy guy, but it still took about 2 hours of methodical assembly to complete. But, once finished, we were very happy with the results. The important pieces are made of solid wood the entire top, the sides, the door frames and a piece on the bottom. The rest is made from engineering wood (particle board) with a black veneer finish. The finish if very smooth, more of a low gloss smooth lacquer finish, with no wood grain visible. The unit is very solid and heavy when assembled. We have a 46" plasma on top and it fits perfectly. I was concerned when ordering that it may be too tall. I usually prefer low consoles, but once assembled with the TV on top, it looks great and the height is actually very nice.

The doors open smoothly and have fully adjustable hinges. There are two adjustable shelves in the center section and one per side behind the doors. The back panel has large slits for cord pass through and cooling. The large open section below the TV will be perfect when we add the sound bar. Overall I am very impressed with this stand. The quality seems excellent for this price point, and the finish looks durable.

If you are looking for a corner stand that can accommodate your sound bar or wide center channel speaker, this is a great pick as long as you don't mind assembly and don't require a solid wood piece.

I bought this after a broken TV forced me to upgrade to a flat screen. Our existing entertainment center would not work but this was perfect. There are 6 shelves for your entertainment components (Cable box, Aux, Video Game Consoles). Many of the TV stands I looked at were made of particle board or covered in plastic veneer. This does have some MDF board (Shelves, sides bottom of the inside of the cabinet. However, the parts that are visible are solid hardwood. The top is all one piece hardwood with beautiful grain. The legs are solid wood and the glass doors are pained in wood. I am very impressed with the size and height. Many of the TV stands I have seen are very short. This one measures in at about 30 inches tall.

The only issue I have with it is the color. It looks darker in person than in the picture. The color is described as "Walnut" but it is much more like a deep cherry stain in person. It is sturdy and looks like you paid more for it.

Do you need or already have one of those sticky pads to keep your iPhone, G1, GPS, headset, or other items from slipping and sliding around in your car? Well, those sticky pads are expensive. I saw a 4"x7" one at Target called the iPad for $6.99. You know you can just buy a roll of this and cut it to custom fit your dash and it works as well or better than those grip pads. Seriously. My photos are kind of crummy but they should give you an idea of how this stuff works. Just buy the roll that best coordinates with your dash. Use regular scissors to cut it. That's it. There is also a product here on Amazon where someone has done just that and sells the squares (with rounded corners cut with scissors) for $1.99 per 2 pack.

This product is also great to line shelves that hold glassware but beware: the glasses will stick to it so if you need to shift them they might tip over if you push too hard.

We also use this to pad our nonstick pans because we don't have room for a pot rack so we have to stack the pans. This product keeps the bottom of a pan rubbing on the cooking surface of the one below.

If you are transporting food like a box of cupcakes or maybe a hotdish you can just put a square of this on the car seat and put the box or dish of food on top and it won't slide around. You can also use it in a similar fashion if you are shipping fragile items and need to cushion them.

Anyway I'm sure you can find a million other uses for this stuff. You can buy it here online or for the exact same price you can find it at Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer, or any other value-type department store.

Watch out if you have classy maple drawers and shelving for your kitchen. It was great! when I bought it a couple of years ago... Adheres, keeps things stable. But I've just discovered in cleaning a shelf, it sticks big time making a total mess. When you remove, the wood's covered with the shelving texture and it's like glue. I'm heartsick. I don't know what will work to get it off. Usual methods eh-eh.

I bought this product so that my bass amp head would not slide around while it sits on top of the tolex bass speaker cabinet. It works like a charm. I sit the Shelf and Drawer liner on top of the speaker cabinet (cut to size), then sit the amp head on top of it. No more sliding around, and no glue or velcro had to be applied.

My only complaint was with the amount charged for shipping. The product itself was only $2.99 (and very light-weight); yet the cost for shipping was more than twice the amount of the product itself. I didn't mind too much because I had a small balance on an Amazon gift card that took care of it, but I felt like the fee for shipping was much more than they needed to charge. That being said, the product itself is great!

We have a small kitchen and I was using a non-adjustable shelf to stack my coffee mugs. There was more space on the shelf, but my left over coffee mugs would not fit, so I had to use precious space from the shelf below. I knew there was something out there that would resolve my problem, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon the Schulte adjustable shelf. It exceeded my expectations inasmuch as it not only gave me more room across so I could place more cups underneath, but it was deep enough that I could create two rows of cups above and below. Now that was an added bonus. It's the perfect item, and the price is fantastic. Very happy with my purchase.

They have been quite adequate for offering extra shelf space. Adjustability is a plus. An additional 1 cm height could be helpful in getting in and out standard medium size tumblers.

These brackets look great and work great. My husband only wants me to order these for shelves now. The largest ones are the sturdiest but we haven't had problems with any of them.

The dividers are very strong, but not bendable at all. If your wood shelves are almost one inch thick they don't fit. You'll need to accept that part of the wood (and paint, if available) will be scratched off, if you use force, strenghth and a hammer to insert those dividers). It is very unfortunate that Lynx Home Collection doesn't give this information. Can Amazon correct that for further customrers ?

But they look good and are helpful in every closet.

TV Cart

When looking at the options available I thought there was a difference between a Cart and a Stand. I needed something that would roll. The picture is deceiving as with the description being that it was a 'Cart' and what looked like wheels...

I like the unit but had to go buy wheels to mount on it so it could be rolled within the room.

This TV table is average quality but easy to assemble. Can be used with hard floor feet or without for use on carpet. Construction is pressed wood fiber with plastic laminate. The two openings for devices are a bit small. Most DVD or CD players won't fit but plenty of room for the Cable or Satellite box. Also a bit too tall for large HDTV's. Almost 3 feet high. Better suited for a digital printer or small HDTV(up to 32"). It is worth the low price.

I am really pleased with this cart. I looks great. It's sturdy. It fits in my space. And it wasn't that hard to put together (for me, a small not very strong woman). The backing was damaged in shipping, but the seller replaced it, and I so far like the product without it. The only drawback is that the CD holders are a little small and look cheap, but I haven't attached them. A fantastic value for the money.

Not great at writing reviews but since there are none for this Item I figured I better.

The Good: This bookcase is thick and extremely sturdy even before putting things in it. Its not one of those Walmart bookcases that is mainly held together by the cardboard backing (I'm not talking bad about those I have 5. Just saying this is a MUCH better quality). The finish on it is beautiful and exactly as it appears in the picture.

The Bad: The directions. They have all the steps you need but are very vague as to the orientation of each piece so its very easy to get one section upside down. All I have to say is put it all together before gluing then separate the joints to glue so you don't mess up.

Bottom Line: Not only would I recommend it I will be buying a second one in a few weeks

It was a little hard to put together, it would look right but it really needed to be flipped over. But once it was done I love it, it looks great in my home. My recomendation woud be to put it all together before glueing anything, then go back and glue when it is right.

We needed a smaller cherry changing table for our nursery and didn't want to spend too much. This was easy to put together and looks great. The only problem is that there is no room on the top for anything but the changing pad. So you store the powder/wipes/etc. in the drawers. But then the drawers are a bit flimsy I guess and you can't leave a drawer open too much or it will fall right out! If we had a bigger nursery room, we would have bought a nicer one with wooden drawers that pull in and out easily....and had space at the top for powder/wipes/etc!

The changer was indeed complicated to put together. As a soon to be new Grandmother, I can't believe in this day and age, manufacturers are permitted to sell such poor quality baby furniture. Seriously, particle board for the table! Our cross-beam cracked when we tried to straighten it. The stain on the "wood" (for lack of a better term)is more like a coating of paint, it chips easily while you try to assemble the thing. I wish I had read this New Dad's review before making the purchase.

The wood is excellent quality, the baskets are well made and designed. I love the colors, they match perfect. I bought a separate changing pad that fits right into this, dropped right in on the existing pad. I recommend buying a pad to go in it, it would be uncomfortable for baby without, and there is a chance your baby will bang their head on the sides. I've thought about looking for some bumpers for inside the padded area, the pad I have comes up on the sides but not at the head and feet (protect that soft spot for those loooong babies!) I imagine this table will last for years and years...it is so well made. I highly recommend buying this over anything else, for appearance and practicality.
