This is a surprisingly sturdy little shelf. Pretty easy to assemble also only takes 5-10min. Shelves are adjustable (all three can be placed anywhere along the length of the poles), and the small feet at the bottom are also adjustable to ensure proper leveling. Unfortunately (echoing what another reviewer said) these are not designed to be stackable (too bad because I really would have liked that feature too).

Overall I'm happy with this shelf and my purchase, HOWEVER potential buyers should note that an essentially identical set of shelves is available at both major DIY chains (HD and Lowe's), at literally half the price (Amazon will probably delete the figures, but they were $20 at HD and Lowe's vs $40 at Amazon). I also bought the similar unit from HD, which has literally exactly the same design (there are only very minute differences), is rated/described as "commercial" (however that is defined) and is rated slightly higher on weight capacity (250 vs 200 lbs per shelf). I found the HD unit to be just slightly easier to assemble, and in my opinion they are equally sturdy and stable. Had I known these were available at HD/Lowe's at half the price, I would have just purchased them there as I have found them identical in terms of functionality.

For all of you who need only 3 shelves, this is a sturdy little shelf, and I'd buy it again.

For the rest of you: I bought a few of these for my kitchen, hoping to be able to stack them (and make a taller rack that fits perfectly in a corner space I needed to use). Whitmor customer service was spectacular in the way that they shipped me 8 couplings (for between the indivual pieces--i wanted a total of 3 sets = 9 shelves) that arrived within 2 days of me calling.

What didn't work: Apparently customer service didn't know that this was actually impossible, as both ends of each rod are not threaded. I could have, and should have, checked, but I had a set from another manufacturer and assumed this would be the same. With careful planning of the use of the little black pieces that hold each shelf, I managed to do what I wanted, but it would have been better to have the threaded coupling in there for insurance. Whitmor--please change your design.

The size and picture of the item to determine if if was the same as the ones I already own was very important. This shelving is very versatile as it is adjustable and easy to install. Also easy tear down for moving or storage purposes. Excellent item for small spaces.

I needed something for extra storage in my small kitchen and this little stand works very well. The "see through" stand seems to take up less room than it actually does and yet holds a lot of things. The directions could be a little better but that's often the case and I figured them out and put it together quickly. I am very pleased with the quality.

RiverRidge Kids Horizontal Bookcase

Although I doubt that this would hold up as a kids bookcase for very long, it makes a perfect bathroom storage unit for towels and such. It's exactly what I needed.

I bought this bookcase for my sons play room and when we opened the box, the smell from the paint was so strong that we had to leave it in the garage for a week. The smell seemed to dissipate a bit so we put it together and brought it in the play room. It still smells a bit....As soon as I find a better, safer one I will be buying that. I'm disappointed with the smell that still comes from the bookcase (3 weeks later).

Purchased this because the color matched our Nursery. It was not that easy to put together and relied a lot on wooden dowels to hold things together.

It's sturdy enough, but will likely fail if moved around enough.

All in all, the price is decent and the furniture holds books.

Just not that great of a design.

This bookcase is horrible. The directions that came in the box were for a three shelf bookcase and we got the two shelf bookcase. The dowels were WAY too small. The finish scratched coming out of the box. It is extremely cheap quality. So save the money and do not get this bookcase, you are better off putting your money in a slot machine this way you can at least get a chance of hitting the jackpot.

Other reviewers have mentioned it and I agree these are very cheap. In fact the way to assemble it isn't really the most efficient either but once you get it set up it's a fairly good little stand. I use it by the entrance foyer to put rags to wipe my dog's feet, keys, cell phone, wallet, gloves, and the usual little things. Definitely nothing heavy.

We have a small kitchen and I was using a non-adjustable shelf to stack my coffee mugs. There was more space on the shelf, but my left over coffee mugs would not fit, so I had to use precious space from the shelf below. I knew there was something out there that would resolve my problem, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon the Schulte adjustable shelf. It exceeded my expectations inasmuch as it not only gave me more room across so I could place more cups underneath, but it was deep enough that I could create two rows of cups above and below. Now that was an added bonus. It's the perfect item, and the price is fantastic. Very happy with my purchase.

They have been quite adequate for offering extra shelf space. Adjustability is a plus. An additional 1 cm height could be helpful in getting in and out standard medium size tumblers.

These are very heavy duty shelves. I use them in my shop, and they are very sturdy. The shelves were easy to assemble, and have remained rust-free. I'm planning to buy a second one to place beside it in the shop, and I'll definitely stick with Borroughs.

Item does look very cool, but make sure your corners are true 90 degrees or it won't fit well and flush to walls. Also very cheap light material. But it does look very modern so I like it!

And I'm in real estate. These easily class up a place to display unique artwork or vase/flowers. I have a floor lamp up high on one of them, and my mom uses the other for a vase with peacock feathers. This price is for 2 of them and writing the review makes me want to buy more!

Tvilum Hayward Tv Stand for Tv's Up To 55-Inch, White

Looked great in the photos but the weak point is the 32mm chipboard it makes for a package that is to big and heavy to be handled by UPS a fact candidly acknowledged by my local delivery guy. As a result, I gave up after two attempts. On both occasions heavy drops had smashed the corners, as well as shaving parts of the cosmetic white laminate off. Unusable. Amazon return process was easy, but in all very disappointing as I still have a floor mounted TV. Ah well, Ikea beckons....

I ordered a white unit and received a black one. Initial order was received in three days but replacement took over a week. We are still putting it together and it is both well designed and material is good looking. Care has been given in designing the unit for strength. I think we will be very pleased with it takes a while to put together but instructions are pretty good.

Lynk 6-Shelf Organizer

Bought this since it was the only organizer that fit the space I had in my closet. It was super simple to build and holds all my bulky sweaters and sweatshirts as well as my robes and sweatpants. The fabric shelves won't hold up to lots of books or other heavy items, but can easily handle clothing. The shelves built can be lifted with a pinky finger and would work great for small closets for bulky clothes, towels, or baby clothes & diapers. It is expandable in its height as well if you buy two you can stack it into a great many configurations to fit pretty much any space. It's not very deep so there's almost no chance of something getting shoved out of reach too.

This serves as a cheap storage shelf in my daughters tiny apartment! Also very stylish too! Great service and great price!

Ameriwood Over The Toilet Cabinet

Complete piece of crap. Took an hour to assemble, put it against hte wall. The legs folded like a house of cards the whole unit collapsed ripping the tiny leg pins out of the cheap press board. Injuring me and my cat. Cant fix it now and cant return it.

We just purchased two of these for our new place. They have a good amount of space and the one we set up is holding a lot of stuff. One of the things we didn't like is that it didn't mention needing a wall anchor, which was a primary reason we purchased it (our wall is stone and would take a lot to drill into). However, it was the last step. The product is staying up but sways when we open it. Also, the directions were unclear about which way to place some of the boards and it wound up being upside down. We would have had to undo most of the work to fix it. Overall it looks nice and holds a good amount of products for the cost.

The one i received had a few scratches and chips on it nothing that a little paint marker didn't cover up easily. I love the modern look of this piece and assembly was pretty easy. It's very sturdy once up.

I like this cabinet, except for the color. I'd been looking for a cabinet in black for a long time, and then I saw this cabinet advertised as "black". It's not black, it's espresso!! All of the mirrors in my bathroom are framed in black, so this doesn't exactly match, but I put it up until I can find a black one. For the price it's a good buy, just beware of the color.

We were going to order three of these for all three of our bathrooms, but I am glad I hesitated. The first reason I dislike is that after it was all assembled, I noticed the edges of each piece was already looking worn, so the finish is not good, and rather cheap. Second, as my husband was putting the item in place behind the toilet, he realized the bottom cross bar that you can see in the picture, and the piece that stabilizes the unit, does not fit our bathroom! The reason this bottom piece does not fit is because the water pipe and shut-off are right in the middle. Our work-around was to take a saw and cut out a notch to go around the water pipe, not idea, but okay. After all of this trouble, we decided it didn't match our vanity and we'd use it in another bathroom that is just a toilet room. Well....it turns out this other bathroom's water pipe and shut off is in yet another spot, and the modified cross-bar won't work, yet again. A simple solution would be for the manufacturer to have accounted for an average of height from floor to pipe, and locate the cross-bar higher. In the end, it is sitting in pieces for now in my closet. It's too much of a hassle to disassemble and box up for return, so we'll continue to jerry-rig it to work. I would not recommend.

I did a lot of searching online to find the perfect hanging stemware rack that would accomodate my oversize balloon shaped wine glasses. This is the one! I love this, it looks great in my kitchen, very sophisticated, it is very handy and I would buy it again. My only complaint is hat it would be nice if there was a little more space between glasses. I can fit 2 glasses on each spot and my wine glasses fit fine but I can't hang my margarita glasses next to each other because they touch, need just a little bit more space. But I would still buy it again!

This stemware rack was easy to install, looks good, and performs well. I am a professional kitchen designer and installer, and elected to use this rack rather than the one available from the cabinet manufacturer. It worked our better, as we are using a low profile flourescent light fixture above it. We mounted the back side of the rack to the extended back of the cabinet, and made some spacers for the front installation point. The recessed light is above the rack, and is hardwired, so it is not necessary to switch it on and off at the fixture, which is a must. It is a little difficult to relamp the fixture, but it can be done without removing the rack. The effect of the stemware lit from above is quite dramatic. I will definitely use this installation detail again.

The rack was very easy to install and felt pretty sturdy even after only 2 screws (no drill needed, just screwed right into the bottom of wooden shelf). Our nice Riedel glasses (which have 3.5 inch bases) fit very nicely. Would definitely recommend it.

This wine rack looks really nice, installs easily and takes up virtually no space with its under counter design. Installation took about 5 minutes with a cordless screwdriver and 6 provided screws. The front-to-back fit is fairly snug, so if your cabinets have any of those plastic stapled in support brackets you will have to remove/move them first.
