I just put up this unit and installation was easy (came with instructions unlike other poster's experience). The unit is well made, strong, and has ample room for running cables through the center channel and access holes. The only drawback is the depth of the shelves are somewhat short for components that are deep and/or require additional depth due to larger cable plugs (like HDMI cables).

I plan to make some wooden covers (to sit on top of the glass shelves) to provide the extra depth I need.

I would recommend that you simply measure the depth of your components first, including the length of your longest cable plug to ensure this unit will work for you. Otherwise, you will have the front feet of your audio/video components dangling off the front edge of the shelves.

EDITED REVIEW After converting to another services provider, the shelfs are just fine in terms of depth. So I didn't have to modify anything. This is a quality unit and we have had no issues with it at all.

If your trying to figure out what component shelf to buy look no further my friends. Before I purchase anything I usually click on Amazon.com to get individuals reviews/opinions. Let me tell you, if you are in the market for a Component shelf for your lcd look no further. This is a beautiful, attractive 3 tray shelf which I put my Bose Stereo and Xbox 360 on.

Both components have plenty of room to set on their individual tray and wire management is not difficult at all. When sitting away from my stand I do not see any wires which is very important to me. The other thing I would recommend to anyone that is in the market for something like this. Do 'NOT' place it under your flat screen tv! Why you might ask? The reason for this is when I'm watching a movie on my flat screen tv all I want to see in my 'field of view' is the tv and not a 3 tray shelf with electronic components!

I've seen so many customer images with their component shelfs under their beautiful flat screen tvs and under their tvs they have this big, honking shelf!

Trust me, you will enjoy the movie that you are watching more if all that is in front of you is the movie and not anything else that is going to distract you.

This shelf stands in the corner of my room and looks very attractive I must add. All my friends and family also complement this stand when they first enter my room.

We bought this shelving unit after upgrading to a flatscreen HDTV that was mounted on the wall via a VideoSecu Longarm articulating arm mount. The two units look excellent together and above all the Cheetah Componet Shelf Wall Mount is a quality built unit with above average fit and finish. Shipping was fast and easy through FedEx. It shipped in the original box with no extra padding or wrap but was delivered undamaged and remarkable.

Body of unit consists of appropriate thick aluminum that is black with a light metallic sparkle. The glass shelves are colored gloss black on one side and matte black on the other and you can mount either side up. Overall height of this unit is 27" with the shelves being 8 3/4" apart and measuring 17 1/2" wide by 14" deep. The three sections of the unit each have a 2" hole avaiable for routing your wires through and also comes with black plastic covers to go in the holes if you are not using them. I found that the 2" hole was more than an adequate size for fitting wires through I have 8 cables running through one hole) and that the covers fit tightly in the holes that are not being utilized.

Installation was straight forward and the directions were simple and easy to read. You could put this together by yourself probably but as with most things an extra set of hands was helpful. I mounted the bracket that the shelves attach to directly to a stud because that was easiest for me. Drywall anchors and screws also come with the unit if you need to mount it to drywall. The unit is attached to the wall bracket with two screws and "pops" into place with a little elbow grease but after securing with the screws it is steady and straight. None of the shelves lean or tilt under the weight as some other reviewers have complained about. I have a DTV box and google TV box on one shelf and a WII, XBOX, PS2 on another with the top shelf being the 'docking station' for the GTV keyboard/mouse along with all the remotes and gaming paddles. I imagine if you follow the directions, are somewhat handy with a level and drill and start with a level/straight wall you will have superior luck with installing this unit.

Overall I am completely impressed with the unit and being priced at less than half of comparable shelves at some big box outlets this is an awesome deal.

The shelves themselves are great, they look amazing, I love the style, the ease of assembly and mounting, everything.

One major problem, the shelves are nowhere near large enough to hold anything substantial, neither my cable box, nor my stereo receiver fit on the shelves. These are specifically outined in the description of the item. Should I have measured before purchasing, of course I should have, but I don;t see how the description can be seen as accurate in this regard.

I'm a recently separated woman, and with elbow tendonitis, and arthritis in my hands, I was in the market for a great looking, easy set-up for my new 40" tv components.

While the set-up instructions are minimal, I have enough know-how, and tools to do the job. Also, I am under 5' tall. With my 14 year old daughter helping me to get it on the wall, it mounted in a jiffy, and it looks great! (Yes, we mounted the tv by ourselves, too).

As far as the cable management goes, I find that, since it is only attached at the top, if I pull it slightly away from the wall at the bottom, it's easy enough to get cables through without having to thread them. There seems to be plenty of room for everything I have: 2 HDMI, 2 optical, numerous power, several speaker cords...you get the idea.

I am considering it, or the 2 shelf unit for the livingroom tv. That's a 47".

This is the information I was looking for when I searched for the right shelves. I hope this helps! :)

I looked high and low for a towel shelf/rack that was smaller than 24" or 30" wide. I almost gave up before I found this one. Really good quality and nice looking design.

I just completed a renovation of my very small and only bathroom in a 1914 apartment. It provides the vintage look I was going for. Only complaint is that it doesn't come in any other colors. It only comes in polished chrome but hardly a complaint when it fits my bathroom perfectly.

We ordered the 20' inch chrome shelf. My husband went to a tremendous amount of trouble to mount this rack on a tile surface, since the directions were incorrect. In addition, some of the bolts were missing so I contacted :USE (the manufacturer) via email since they don't have a customer service number on their site. I sent two emails requesting the bolts, and they totally ignored me. Learn from my mistake and go to Moen or Kohler, a company that actually has a customer service department, just in case you have any issues with the item. It looks like my husband will have to remove the rack and return it to Amazon and start all over again!

This item arrived quickly from amazon. It is nice, but not as sturdy as I would have liked. It is a little rickety. Also, it has been an adventure installing it. I followed the directions on the box and their measurements were wrong. I am still working on it but have run out of drywall screws, so I will need to install it tomorrow.

This shelf is very modern looking, saves space, and keeps the room looking brighter and more open by eliminating the tradition boxy shape of a bookshelf. I'm enjoying it very much in my bedroom, but other buyers should take note that this bookshelf absolutely CANNOT hold heavy items on the bottom shelves. Because of the positioning of the screws on just one side of the bottom two (largest) shelves, heavy books will cause these shelves to rotate backwards to the point of breaking. I partially solved this problem by wedging 3 old textbooks underneath the bottom shelf, which now is holding about 60 pounds worth of my school books. The second shelf I could do nothing about, and is now holding a box of tissues and some magazines. The upper shelves are more stable (ironically, since they're the smaller ones), because of the more central positioning of the screws. So YES, it looks great! But be aware that this is not the most solid of bookshelves.

This shelf is not worth the price. The material is flimsy and lightweight. In my opinion, it would resale in your neighborhood garage sale for $19. I am very disappointed. I was charge over $30 for shipping and it took more than 30 days to arrive! I could have built my own shelf with that cheap material in the same time. The list price info says you save over $300. That has to got to be a misprint. Because its not worth that amount and I soon found out all sales are final, including rip offs!"

I must say that this picture does not do it justice. The depth of the bottom shelf is large enough to fit a small microwave. And the top shelf is not so narrow. The shelving space is very generous. This bookcase IS NOT intended to store hundreds of heavy books. It is not made out of oak or pine wood. However, if you're like me, and have a good 20 30 books with no place to put them, this bookcase is perfect. It does not take up a lot of space and is very appealing to the eye. A few books, a few decorative accents and you have a very nice looking bookcase for your home office.

This book shelf is very attractive but, unfortunately, the fourth shelf collapsed within an hour of putting books on it. The books that I placed on the shelf were both paperback and hardcover, only 1 row, nothing unusual. I would not recommend this shelf set for books or anything with equivalent weight.

I had been looking for leaning bookshelves for months, and most of them were priced somewhere around the $150.00 range. When I saw the Poundex shelves for a little over $40 with good reviews, I was intrigued. I'm generally a bit skeptical of "a good price", but decided to take a chance with these and purchased two of them. They arrived at my home quickly,together, and very well protected. Best, opening the box (all the tape used) was more difficult to do than it was to put them together. The Good: I was very impressed with this unit from the moment it arrived. It was very well packed, each peace well was rapped in paper to prevent scratching. The freshly finnished wood peices fit snuggly together, and it's a very attractive piece.

The Bad: The wall mounting instructions leave a LOT to be desired (Assembly is a no-brainer). You will need a clear mind or someone that is mechanically inclind to help out. My suggestion to the designer is to include a simple wall mount template.

This said I still strongly recommend this shelf for it's design and 100% solid wood construction.

I am glad I purchased this instead of the traditional photo shelves I originally planned. This is very easy to assemble and makes a nice piece in my office to showcase items.

The Good:

The shelf is very nicely designed, met my esthetic expectations. It is a very appealing piece, I love the Dark Cherry finish color. The delivery was prompt and unit very well packed, each part of the shelf was wrapped in paper and cushioned so all part arrived in ideal condition.

The Bad:

1. The unit is overpriced.

2. The assembly is not complicated, however there are no screws to keep all parts of the shelf components firmly together. The shelf parts are designed to "snap" one into another as pieces of a 3D puzzle, however, they do not fit tightly enough. That presents a challenge for a single pair of hands while mounting the shelf on the wall. The unit has no mounting hardware included, manufacturer provided only 4 screws that seemed to be meant as self's anchors to the wall. Luckily, my husband is very handy and he figured out how to deal with the mounting of the shelf. In addition, I had to stick in a piece of folded paper between a horizontal and vertical boards in one place where fitting part were too loose.

Nevertheless, I do like the end results and would recommend this unit to handy consumers for Family DIY projects.

I have been looking for a floating, multi level shelveing unit for quite some time. My issues were price and price. I stumbled across this product and was immediately captured by the lines, spacing (for frames and other things) and price. I settled for the honey because it was 20 dollars cheaper then most other colors but in the end I am glad I got the honey. It is a very nice shade and pops off of my blue wall.

I was worried about installation. I am not very handy...at all. But I was able to modify the instructions a little bit to make it a one person job, if you go by the instructions you will need 1-2 helpers. I was able to get everything done with in 30-40 minutes. For anyone who is handy, I am sure it will take less time.

I am very happy with the final outcome. I give it 4.5 stars.

Granite Contact Paper, 18" x 9'

I purchased this contact paper in the hopes of covering over top of my old ugly RED countertop and it WORKED!!!! I want to remodel the kitchen, but for the time being, I wanted a quick fix that would look nice and it did the job! I would definately suggest this product. It was easy to work with and came up nicely when there were bubbles/wrinkles to remove. I used an old credit card to smooth it out. I did have some bubbles here and there, so I used a pin to poke a little hole and smoothed it out. Also, I do have a seem since the width wasn't wide enough to cover the entire counter, but since the way it is designed with the granite look, you can't even tell unless the light shines on it or you run your hand across it (I put the seem in the back of the counter top to try and hide it better since I have my canisters, toaster, etc along the back). Yes, I had a few headaches doing this, but I also had 2 little children trying to help :)

I got this for about six dollars per roll with free 2 day prime shipping and couldn't be more pleased. It is actual Con-tact brand, which matters for durability and adhesive quality.

Anyways, as you can imagine, squee-jee-ing the stuff on without major bubbles or wrinkles is a feat. It took me a few hours to do the counter tops BUT it was well worth it since I'm in a rental house I love (but cannot change the tacky yellow counters.) The final product is quite handsome, considering the total cost for all the counters was under 20 bucks. It looks like faux granite-definitely not like the real stuff, but also not like 40 year old scratched counters with stickers slapped on top, which is essentially what it is. :)

The sink is easy to cut around, for what it's worth-some tutorials online suggest cutting it perfectly to fit. That would drive me crazy. I cut out a hole for the sink, but a very rough one-and then used a common steak knife to cut the precise edges once the stuff was already stuck on evenly. Overlapping bits peeled right off the sink. Trust me, the stuff has some give/stretchiness (not unlike a tee shirt) so you don't really want to measure things until it's already down.

For air bubbles, try poking them with a tack or sewing needle and decompressing slowly. For wrinkles, try slicing and overlapping the pieces. The almost imperceptible line is WAY better than a grime-catching wrinkle.. or worse: tearing the thing up in frustration.

This is an amazing product if you're willing to tweek it. It's needs effort and patience to be installed right.

Tools I used:

Sharp scissors, hair cutting size

Razor Knife

Large Phillips head screw driver

Large Flat Head screw driver (for prying and lifting sink)

Folded index card for smooshing bubbles

Several straight pens

Hot Glue Gun

Rubber Dishwashing gloves

I live in an old farmhouse and I have nasty stained fake wood counters, no matter what I used to clean them they looked like crap. The first thing I did was remove the "Beading/Trim" section on the back of my counter that joins the wall. Mine was nailed so I just pried it off with a hammer and put it back on the same way.

Secondly if you can; undo your sink clamps. This will allow you to stick the paper right under the edge of the sink rather than trying to cut. I threw away one big piece trying to cut perfectly around my sink.

Third, lift up sections of the sink with the flathead screwdriver and slide small long skinny sections of paper under it. When I first started I had about a 2" outline of contact paper just around my sink. Don't worry the seams won't show, which is a great plus about this paper.

Fourth put the clamps back on the sink or it will wiggle, I put my clamps on last but I should have done it fourth.

Next take large sections and stick them down. I cut long ones the width of the paper. Stick them so they are smooth. This will require one or two resticks and then smooshing down with an index card. Use a pin to pop air bubbles. I stuck the pin in at a 45degree angle, then resmoosh. Don't worry about your edges right now.

***The edges won't stick, they peel up...this is what the hot glue is for in the last step***

Put contact paper everywhere you need it, and smooth it down. If there is a great deal of over hang trim it off with the scissors. You need about 2-3" to work with for the edges.

Finally take the hot glue gun and several sticks of glue ( I had a mini gun a big one may not require so much) and put a rubber glove or garden glove on the hand you aren't using to operate the gun. The glove is so you don't get burned. First put as smooth as possible a pretty thick layer of glue in about a 10" section of the bare counter facing toward you. I cut slits in the over hang paper every 10" so it would be easier. Give the overhang bit a tug a tightly secure it to the counter over the hot glue, the smoosh it down with the hand that's wearing the glove.

Wait about a minute and glue the underside of the counter where the rest of the paper will go, this was kind of an upside down motion with the gun so you may have to hold a glue stick in if it gets low. Then just smooth down the final bit with your gloved hand.

I had to trim the final bit with a razor knife to clean it up a bit, you may or may not have to do this.

Overall this is a great product. It looks fabulous and you can't see seems or where you popped bubbles. The craptastic part is it doesn't stick to the edges...at least not mine. Mine were really rough so if you have nice smooth ones you might forgo the hot glue. But, if you had nice smooth countertops you probably aren't covering them with contact paper.

The only other issue I had with this was it took 4 days for the seller to get around to shipping. I had to email and complain and it magically got shipped and I received it next day; so keep an eye out for that.

Overall I give it 4 stars, just because I had to tweek it with hot glue. But I bought 2 packs for $14 something including shipping and it was worth every penny. It looks amazing.

PS: This is a woman's review if you're a manly contractor dude you may have a better way to do this.

While waiting for custom countertops, I covered my existing kitchen counter surfaces with this durable, shiny, easy-to-clean, amazingly realistic paper. Now I'm almost sorry that I spent so much money for hand-polished marble surfaces when I'm already enjoying essentially the same look at a teensy fraction of the cost.

My existing counters were scratched, dulled from years of wear, and hard to clean, but my new contact paper makes them look new! Item does look very cool, but make sure your corners are true 90 degrees or it won't fit well and flush to walls. Also very cheap light material. But it does look very modern so I like it!

And I'm in real estate. These easily class up a place to display unique artwork or vase/flowers. I have a floor lamp up high on one of them, and my mom uses the other for a vase with peacock feathers. This price is for 2 of them and writing the review makes me want to buy more!

Palladia Bookcase with Doors

A very nice piece of furniture, however my husband and I came across some problems while assembling. The pieces were missing some labels ,had to play the guessing game to figure out what went where. Because of that assembly took about 3 and 1/2 hours. I was also disappointed that the furniture arrived with some scratches. We will try to use a wood scratch concealer and see what happens. Overall I really do not regret buying this bookcase. The finish product turned out very nice. Beautiful color, matched with the rest of the furnitures in my family room very nicely.

I bought this and it was delivered on time. The packing was damaged on one corner. When I opened it up, one piece of molding was damaged. I called customer support and they shipped a replacement. 2 day delivery. I assembled it by carefully reading the directions. Very well done. Drawing and labels were very helpful, pointing out ways to be sure you were assembling it correctly. The design and engineering makes this a great value. Looks great.

Sanus Systems VF5023-B1 Dual Column Wall-Mounted Furniture Component with 3 Shelves

After having a huge projection television in our family room, we were looking for a super clean look that would allow us to hide all of the necessary wires from view and enable simple cleaning around the audio/ video products without having to play musical chairs with our furniture.

Prior to buying anything, I usually perform a lot of research online, reading reviews from both the Pros and more importantly, people like me that buy the products to use themselves.

While shopping online, we had selected this 6 foot long mostly glass TV stand that looked pretty nice. Although we had just ordered a 52" LCD that we intended to hang on the wall, we felt as though we were still burdened with this large piece of furniture to place our audio products on and I was not in a financial position to have professionally installed wall and/or ceiling speakers. I had selected this product that was manufactured by Sanus Systems. Prior to ordering, I went to the Sanus website to check one more time. This is when I noticed a new product called Wall-Mounted Vertical Series. This was exactly what we had been looking for but thought it had not yet been invented.

We bought the Sanus Systems VF-5023 three shelf wall system. This unit is perfect. The person that designed this is a genius. Not only does it look great, allow plenty of room around the unit to clean, keeps all wires completely hidden from view, holds 75lbs per shelf securely and offers two back-ground looks between black glass and a Cherry wood back ground, both of which are beautiful. We absolutely love this shelf system for our components. Since we hung our new 52" LCD above this rack, everything looks as though it was designed for our home.

Now the bad news! The instructions included absolutely suck. They offer cheaply drawn pictures and no written instructions, which leave you wondering "What the heck" and "How on earth am I suppose to assemble this". But have no fear! This rack system is so great and beautiful; I give it a full 5 Stars even with the lousy instructions. The main thing to remember when putting it together is this; 1) assemble the entire outer portion of the rack before you attempt to hang the two super strong brackets that hold everything on the wall, and 2) pick your background (Black Glass or Cherry Wood) before you install the actual shelves and start putting your components on them and slide the decided upon background pieces in place, allowing them to slide down and rest on the floor. Otherwise you'll be undoing everything you did after you realize you can't fit the backgrounds in after your components are in place.

Summary: This hanging shelf unit really is worth the trouble it takes to install using such bad instructions. Don't allow my installation comments to discourage you from buying it, because you'll love it once installed. 5-Stars Plus!!! You might say a few choice words while trying to figure out where to place to brackets to hang this unit. Check this unit out before buying any other type of TV stand/ AV component shelf.

Additional Info: In order to keep all of the wires hidden from view, I installed an additional electrical outlet behind where the actual wall unit was going to be hung. This was to enable plugging in the Power Surge unit that would be hidden behind the wall unit because I didn't want this big heavy cord showing below my fancy new wall unit.

I have to agree with the others. The instructions are very confusing, and you have to study them to figure out what you are doing when. It actually does go together fairly simply, but the initial illustrations leave you confused as to what you are doing. The text in the instruction manual is limited to caution, and not so much step-by-step, what you are supposed to do.

Aside from the instructions, the unit itself is very nice. The quality of the material is very good. The satin finish on the metal blends in beautiful with my components and TV. I really like the tinted glass shelves, the curved shelving supports, and you get to choose if you want the backing as glass or a faux-wood finish. I chose the glass. It looks classy.

The cable organizing gives you a lot of room. I didn't quite realize how much room I would have to organize cables when I ordered it. You can place a power strip behind the back panels, so you completely hide all your power cords. I was actually fortunate enough that the wall outlet was below my TV, and this covered the wall outlet, so you don't even see that. There is even enough room that the huge power brick from my Xbox 360 fits behind the panels. I have one of the old 360's, so it is a rather large power unit. I don't know if the new style 360's have the same one, but there is room for it, in any case.

The only problem I ran into was one of the set screws that locks the shelf supports in place shattered on me. The material for the set screw is very hard. I tried removing it with an screw extractor, and the bit wouldn't even drill into the screw. That left top shelf permanently locked in place, so if I don't like where it is, I'm a little SOL. I called up SANUS about this, and they are sending me out a new side rail, new set screws, and a new bracket free of charge. Their instructions may suck, but their customer support is top notch. They are even in the US, with native speakers (not Inida "Native speakers"). They were a pleasure to speak with.

I'm actually going to recommend the two shelf model to my girl friend for her new apartment. She doesn't have a need for as much as I do, so it will fit her just fine. I have a feeling I'll be putting another together soon.

Ok so the product is fine. Wider than most I had seen.

The instructions are horrible. Not bragging but I have worked on cars my entire life and have built houses and worked on many different technical projects. My father in-law was a Master Sargent in the Motor pool in the Air Force. Together it took us 3.5 hours to put this thing together.

There are 20 pages of instructions and 17 languages of instructions but not one of the paragraphs tells you how to put the thing together. There are pictures but no words. You don't know which plate to put on the wall first. The pictures actually show you how to put the mount for the shelves together backwards then you hang it on the wall but it doesn't tell you that in one single place you just have to figure it out. You don't put the bottom plate on the wall until the top plate and assembly parts are together then you screw it in the wall after. The actual shelves are held up by tiny 1/8 inch set screws that are hex, which in itself is not bad. However, while tightening the set screws half of them shattered while installing. Oh and they were supposed to hook into the brackets while in the groves but the groove wasn't deep enough to work so you have to use a rubber mallet to push "help" them into place.

Now that it is finished it does look good on the wall. I gave it one star because it is really difficult to put together. Well written instructions and it would be fine but buyer beware. I had read some issues with the instructions by other users but they were not joking. You need to be extremely handy to do put this thing together.

I have four 65" TV'S AND 3 of THESE WALL SHELF MOUNTS. All the other 'wall shelf' units on the market mount onto 1 stud, or 2. This BABY CAN GO ONTO 3 Studs If Needed, as I USED 3. I wrote some personal tips for those of you needing help on mounting, as the instructions can leave some 'openness' (also due to it's adjustment play).

The directions show you how to backwardly put the unit together, but they are important and substantially better than none at all.. i followed them w/ somewhat ease and success. Most people on Amazon showed pictures of mounting the unit way below the tv.. allowing for a wall gap to be seen between the Sanus and the Bottom of the TV. I rather BUTTED the wall shelf directl to the bottom of my TV.. it looks cool this way, like the TV and Wall shelf are all one piece. Also, this enabled me to put the cables from the TV right into this wall shelf without seeing wires come from the TV.

If you do it this way, make sure your TV is tilted all the way down during the wall shelf installation... so that it's at it's lowest point when you butt the sanus frame up to it during installation. The other way people did theirs is to drill a hole behind the TV to drop the power and hdmi cable down.. and into the wall shelf area in a secondary hole (I avoided this). Either way, this unit is Sleek, and Rare Looking... it can hide an xbox power box, a surge protector, remote outlet plugs, and more.

Read the directions in pre-assembling this unit... you basically put your TV up on the wall first, then frame w/ bluepainters tape (or a pencil) WHERE YOU WANT THE WALL SHELF TO BE ON THE WALL, according to the measurements listed in paperwork. ALSO, find the wall studs and MARK THE CENTERS OF THEM where the Sanus shelf is going to attach to before anything. Use a stud finder. I also pierce the wall stud areas with nails to identify the exact 1.5" width of each 2by4, and putty the search holes.

Then, you put the entire Sanus FRAME ONLY together per the instruction manual (I did mine on top of my king sized bed) w/ out the shelves and glass pieces. The next step is that you want to have the wall mount bracket attached to the assembled frame, but your only going to be working on the top wall mount bracket FIRST (and both will be loose in it and can fall out if tipped in the air). There are 2 screw locks Sanus gives you for the bottom wall bracket w/ all completed, but you want to borrow those for now on the TOP bracket, and screw them all the way into the top bracket to help hold it to the frame. NOW... hold the entire frame up on the wall exactly where you want it (it's heavy, maybe 60lbs) and mark w/ a pencil (only top wall mount) the mounting holes of the top bracket that align according to the pencil markings that are on your wall that you made earlier for the stud centers.

Put the frame back on your bed or floor. You should see your markings on the wall. Remove the top wall mount bracket from the sanus frame... and now put that 1st TOP wall bracket permanently all alone on your wall, making sure it is on your markings, and that it is also level w/ your TV once more. But, if you measured everything up till now, it should be right on. (I chose to BUTT my sanus wall shelf up to the bottom of the TV to use the first shelf for a center speaker (martin logan motion 8).

Now that you have the top wall mount permanently on the wall... put the assembled frame onto the wall by now hanging it on that top permanent wall bracket.

THIS IS a TRICKY PART... Now, while the entire sanus frame is on your wall hanging on your permanent TOP wall bracket... mark your holes for the bottom wall plate (make sure they align with your pencil markings that identify the stud centers), BUT MAKE SURE TO LIFT THE BOTTOM PLATE SLIGHTLY UPWARD ABOUT AN 1/8 OF AN INCH SO THAT THE FRAME RESTS ON THE TWO BRACKET 'LIPS' AND IT BUTTS UP TO THE FRAME (BECAUSE OF THE PLAY INVOLVED... the manual misses this point of precision). You can now drill the holes for the bottom plate w/ the unit in place.

Now, you can put the back glass pieces in (they actually can pop in sideways, and DO NOT NEED TO SLIDE IN FROM THE TOP OR BOTTOM.. (EXCELLENT PLAY), and use the two screw nobs on the bottom of the sanus frame to now permanently lock it onto the wall. INSTALL YOUR WIRES, and then put the shelves in w/ a long level across them (heights are to your adjustability)... Your DONE.

SIDE NOTE: The sanus frame has to be lifted about a 1/2" up over the wall bracket lips to rest on them... if i tilt the 65" Plasma TV upward to the ceiling.... I CAN ENTIRELY REMOVE THE SANUS SHELF IF NEEDED TO WHILE THE TV IS ON THE WALL, EVEN THOUGH THE TV BUTTS UP TO THE SHELF DURING TV Flat, or down POSITIONING. The Sanus shelf just has superb built in play in it's lucky design.

Once I got a good look at the almost "wordless" installation instructions (pictures only) I was a little intimidated. But, once you begin putting together the main framing, everything else pretty much falls in place. I've included a few pictures of the final outcome. There are no wires showing because I drilled a two inch hole in the drywall behind the TV, and another 2 inch hole behind the Sanus shelf system. You will want to put together the main framework first, before attaching the upper wall mount. This will give you a better idea of how high to place the 1st (upper) wall mount. The lower wall mount fits in the bottom of the framework and aligns the mount to the wall before screwing it in. You will need to fasten the wall mount bolts to studs because this system is pretty heavy. The good thing is, once you mount the framework to the upper wall mount, you can then slide the framework up to 4 inches to the right or left. This unit makes for a very clean look and has enough space between the glass covers and the drywall to fit a surge protector and all of the wires. I'm very happy with the results and have absolutely no regrets.

Floating Ledge 48"W x 2"D

I bought the 4' by 2 inch floating ledge and it looks great on my wall. I put up the screws leaving close to a half an inch as recommended, hung the shelf and although it was flat against the wall it wobbled. So I adjusted the depth of the screws a couple of times and it did the trick. I now have the shelf loaded with 3 8 X 10 wooded frame, glass overlay photos the shelf is very solid and stable. Love the quality!

I bought this shelf to use in my son's room. It's profile is not too large and works well for a boy's room, as it isn't not overly ornate or femanine looking. It has a nice lip on it so that things won't slide off, too. Re: installation: it did not come with a template like many other shelves of this type typically do. Still, I was able to get the shelf hung relatively easily with careful measurement. Overall good quality and I would recommend this in a kids room.

I recently got a 46 lcd tv and needed a stand that was both strong and had a high utility value.

The major + for the stand is

1. It has space for 5 boxes (as in DVR, DVD Player, Gaming Console, Home Theater Receiver) and 4 of these are covered by glass preventing build up of dust and also allowing remote access.

2. Its pretty solid and can with stand a good heavy TV.

3. It has a draw to store extra cables and CD/DVDs and that clutter is not visible on the outside.

4. Easy to assemble. Dont need any fancy tools.

The negatives.

1. The whole thing is very heavy. Close to 100 lbs. So moving the package around and unpacking can be quite a task. Make sure you assemble this quite close to where you want it placed.

2. It takes about 3-4 hours to put it together.

Overall this is a very high quality piece of furniture. Heavy, solid weight; more than capable of supporting my 60-inch plasma TV.

Before purchasing, I read the other reviews which said this was a nightmare to assemble. I'm not sure what those people were talking about. I put it together by myself in about 90 minutes and didn't have any problems. The instructions were not quite up to Ikea-esque standards, but overall they were very understandable. Anyone who needs 4+ hours to put this together must have some serious learning disability.

I am deducting one star for the following reason: The design of the back panel is poor, because it allow little to no ventilization to the shelves that hold the A/V equipment. A sealed design like this will trap in heat and absolutely fry any device that has a hard drive, such as a TiVo or Playstation 3, or an amplifier. My PS3 started overheating within the first hour and I had to remove the back panel from the cabinet to allow proper ventilation. Removing the panel leaves the wires in the back visible and detracts somewhat from the aesthetic appeal of the shelf. If you use the shelves for your A/V equipment, I storngly recommend taking off the back panel, or you will cook your expensive equipment.

Very well constructed piece of furniture. The materials are high quality and it looks great when put together. It took a little over an hour to put together and that's mainly due to the lack of labeling on the parts of the unit. The instructions were very Ikea-esque and sometimes it made it difficult to know which panel they were referring. You had to be careful to make sure you knew which part of the unit you were constructing so you could place the pieces accordingly so you didn't have the particle wood showing. There is a back for the unit, but there are no cutouts for cords so we just left it off since it was going to be against a wall. The wood is extremely good looking wood and the color is great. We got this unit because we needed a unit short enough that we could place our center speaker on and not block the TV. The height on this was absolutely perfect. The box is very heavy, as the pieces inside are very high quality, so you might need an extra hand to help you get the box moved. Once put together, the unit isn't all that heavy, but you will definitely need two people to move it around. Overall, great product, a little iffy on the instructions, but take your time and in no time, you will have a great looking entertainment center.

Unit was quite heavy and took about 2 hours to assemble. I suggest taking the time to lay out all the pieces first and then assembling. I left the back off to allow airflow since there are no holes in it but you can't see it anyway. Overall a pretty solid, nice product. Very Ikea-ish in its assembly. I was looking for something good but not willing to pay big $$$ and found it. Obviously its not a super expensive piece of furniture but it does not look cheap either. 4 of 5 stars :)

I looked around at many different stores and websites for a good TV stand for a good price. I decided to buy this one. It is a great TV stand. It is sturdy and has plenty of space for the cable box, blu-ray player, movies, game systems, and etcetera.

Putting it together took me a couple of hours mainly because I accidentally did something incorrectly and had to backtrack a little bit. The instructions weren't the greatest, but not too bad. Before I purchased this stand, I saw a review about it being very difficult, but I really didn't think it was when I put it together. It is pretty normal for it to take a while to put together a good do-it-yourself TV stand. If you aren't up for the task of spending some time putting together a TV stand, then you are looking in the wrong place and should go to a furniture store.

I bought this stand for $250. For that price, I am perfectly fine with the material it is made of (I think it is particle board). It is still very sturdy and looks great. There are much worse TV stands with the same material that cost more.

Do not buy this TV stand if you have (or plan to buy) a TV that is larger than 60". I know the description says 48" to 68", but the box said 48" to 60". The stand wouldn't even be wide enough for anything larger anyway. I think a 60" TV is pushing it. It may have been a typo though. I didn't mind because I was buying this for a 50" TV.

My biggest gripe is that the glass doors sometimes pop back open when I try to close them. Sometimes I don't notice and I almost broke one of them. It's not that big of a deal though because if I do lose the glass doors, the TV stand would still look great.

I recently came to the conclusion that I have too much stuff! Now I am organized!! These cabinets look great, holds lots of stuff and were easy to put together after the first one. I kept forgetting to put the laminate side of each piece facing up, it took half an hour. The second piece took 15 minutes (again I got one piece upside down)and the third one I did in 7 minutes! I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend these pieces to everyone. They even look nice in the closet.

I am hoping amazon fixes this. Started putting this together and the more we did the more cracks and scratches we found! This is for my 3 year olds room. I hope he doesnt find the bad parts and start picking at them. I cant believe it is listed for this price with how messed up it came! Not worth $10!!

The cabinet came damaged and the packaging was damn near torn off all the way when we got it. It looked as though the box had been ripped and taped back together somewhere during shipping. Stuck with a damaged cabinet and no way of knowing how to assemble it. Disappoint AMAZON, disappointed.
