Shelves-To-Go Packable Suitcase Shelves, Black

I travel on a lot of trips with one or two night stays and then on to the next place. I thought this would help with eliminating the packing and unpacking for just the night or two. I thought it would help with finding things quickly. It almost does that...however...

I am down to only taking one carry-on and this unit only fits into the largest carry-on bag which is also the heaviest. I tried putting the clothes on the shelves and couldn't close the carry-on. I put the clothes into space saver bags, then on the shelves and the carry-on wouldn't close. Then I put the shelves in, then rolled the space savers as usual and everything fit. So off I went.

When I got to the B & B I took out the rolled bags, set the shelves in the closet, opened the space savers and put them on the shelves. Yes, it did help organize and keep my clothes safely out of buggy legs and mites. When it was time to pack up for the road trip I took the shelves off the closet bar and everything fell out. Not a time saver there. But since we had a car I didn't have to tightly close the carry-on. It ended up I tied a ribbon around the shelves so the clothes wouldn't fall out and just carried the shelves to the car and put them in the trunk, then at the next stop carried them in.

Not really great for what the shelves did. Don't think I'll be using them much. DESIGN NEEDS TO INCLUDE SOME SORT OF CLOSURE FOR WHEN THE SHELVES ARE OPEN OR PLACE THE HANGERS CLOSER TO THE FRONT SO SHELVES TIP BACK.

This is the perfect product for travelling light. It fits perfectly in my carry-on bag and it makes packing a breeze.

Great product. I use it extensively. As long as you don't try to make it carry "too much", it serves perfectly the purpose.

Early Start IS 66412 3-Shelf Green House Workbench

I have long wanted one of those fancy lighted grow shelves that you see in the gardening catalogues, but was put off by the price. I was therefore thrilled to find this shelf at such a great price. My husband hung a grow light from the top of each of the two shelves using some chain and a cheap clip from the hardware store and voila! A lighted shelf that allows me to start my seeds indoors when it's way too cold to even think about going out in the garden.

Of course, that's not the only use of this shelf; it can also be used outdoors and I'm looking forward to using it, with the handy plastic cover, to gently transition my seedlings from indoors to out of doors. The plastic cover is great and quite sturdy; it's long enough that it reaches the floor (and then some), giving good insulation. Used in our (unheated and drafty) garage in the winter with the lights and heated seedling mats, the plastic covering kept it fairly toasty inside and also kept moisture in (important for growing seedlings). The front zips open and shut for easy access to your growing plants without having to remove the entire cover. The top shelf is handy for storing seed pots and tools; however, you'll want to avoid storing really heavy things up there (like bags of soil) as the shelf did bend a bit for me when I loaded several heavy thing on top of it. But for light things, it does just fine.

In short I am simply thrilled to have found such a terrific product for a great price. With a little handywork, this shelf can provide you the "grow shelf" experience at a tiny fraction of the cost.

I bought this last spring to use out on my patio and I really like it. The fact that it was metal and not junky plastic was important to me, and I like the lower design as it seems less prone to being blown over when its windy. It set up easily and came together quite sturdy. I was missing a bolt out of the box but called the company and they sent one out right away, so no big deal. Like the other reviewer stated, the cover is extra long and seems to be of decent quality (at least as decent as a removable plastic cover can be, think the packages bed comforters come in) I used the cover only in spring and was pleased with the insulation it provided. My soil thermometer measured over 30 degrees warmer than the air temp on a sunny but cold early spring day. I used just the shelf all summer with pots on it and actually left the shelf outside all winter here in Wisconsin and it looks like new yet. Can't wait to get the cover back on and get this year's seedlings in it and off to a great start!

**UPDATE**

The cover was a casualty of a freak hail storm in April 2011. It was so sad to see my pots filled with ice balls and the cover shredded! I still use the shelf in my shed so it wasn't a total loss. I haven't decided if I will try to fashion some sort of cover out of plastic sheeting or just buy a whole new one for this years seedlings. I wish they would sell just the cover...

This workbench has served me well for 2 years now for starting seeds, 4" pots and even small plants in gallon containers. I have it next to the exterior of the house and on the east side of the house so plants get morning sun. Keep in mind that on sunny days, this greenhouse gets extremely hot inside and you need to unzip it so the plants can survive after just 1 hour of direct mid AM sun the interior gets hot.

I'm using this to prop up tablets, iphones, etc. while they are being charged, and it works well for that. I wanted something heavy enough to not move around as devices were shuffled about, and this has done a good job. I have no idea how this actually works for sorting papers, or for filing, but for storing electronic devices for charging, it works like a charm!

When we bought our new house, I hadn't realized there was no front hall closet! Uh oh. I had to find a solution, and this shelf, along with a storage bench that matches, did the trick! It is easy to put together and VERY heavy and sturdy. You will need to hang it on studs, and the hangers in the back are the perfect width to do so. The unit sits flush against the wall when properly installed. The hooks are heavy duty, we hang coats, full backpacks, purses, you name it, on them and they have never budged. No wobble at all to this piece! I bought baskets at IKEA to use in the storage areas. It is difficult to find something attractive yet functional enough to use in the entry hall, yet I have gotten several compliments on this. The only downside is the unit is black, so it shows dust easily. But it is so wonderful to have, having to dust it often is no biggie. I HIGHLY recommend getting this!

Love it, love it, love it! It was easy to assemble (by a GIRL =) about an hour) and it's so sturdy! IT looks really nice and I also bought the cubby seat to go with it (that I also assembled and highly recommend!). I am very disappointed on two fronts: 1) safety 2) quality.

1) safety this unit is heavy and not actually screwed into the wall. There is a wall piece which screws in and then you slide the cabinet over it and it hangs on that piece without actually being screwed to it. I wonder how long this will hold up. I had a pottery barn shelf installed this way and after a year it literally fell off the wall. I do framing and other light construction and this was installed properly it just failed over time. With this shelf being so heavy I would hate to be sitting underneath it if/when it gives way.

2) quality I should have read the description more carefully. It is particle board with a shiny black laminate on top. There are places where the seams are already peeling apart and I just opened the box. It does not look like wood and I think it looks very cheap. There is also a section of the back which is open and when you hang it on the wall most of it is black but there is a 3 1/2 x 44 1/2 gap which is open and therefore whatever your wall color is. Not what I thought the picture hides this very well because of the baskets (not included) and other stuff they have placed on the shelf.

This feels like a walmart product to me. I will try to return it.

I installed this wall cube to house my cable box, A/V tuner, and DVD player. I was looking for something to mount off of the floor and out of the way and this is it. It looks great on the wall, the only problem I had was connecting the wires on the back of the tuner, I had to reach in with a mirror at times to connect everything up as there really isn't another option, so the back area of this box doesn't have much room and there isn't an access panel to get to everything. So instead of a 5 it gets a 4.

I purchased the Wall Cube as I needed a compact, modern stand to put my dvd player and pvr in. Most tv stands were large and bulky, which was unsuitable for a small, contemporary apartment. The setup was easy, the expresso colour beautiful, and the quality seems durable. Unfortunately for me, however, I decided against mounting it on the wall due to the lack of studs in the area of wall I wanted it on, and so instead used it as a floor tv stand (separate chrome legs can be purchased through local hardware store), which works as well. All throughout this process, the Cambre customer service, especially Lisa Jensen (Account Manager), was exceptionally helpful from helping me find out whether the item was in stock in my area, to giving me measurement information and setup tips. Nice product just make sure you have double studs located on exact location of wall if you want to mount. Wall cube can be shifted a bit to right or left after mounted, but for me, the distance was too long.

We've been working on our kitchen since we moved into our new place, and even though I've increased the size of my kitchen substantially, I find that I never have enough room. Clearly, getting the pots out of the cabinetry was key, but with the layout of the room, there aren't a whole lot of options. Finally, I found this pot rack, and it's exactly what I'd been looking for. Unlike other wall-mounted racks that we looked at, the mounts extend the rack 4" away from the wall, allowing me to hang smaller pots from the main rail without having them bang against the drywall. I was able to mount the rack within 1 1/2" from the ceiling and still add/remove the hooks easily, giving me the maximum amount of room and head clearance (note my wife and I are both above-average height, so this solution may not work for everyone). Mounting was easy you have to have wooden studs to mount this into the wall (4 carriage bolts finished to match included), and owners of older homes should be aware that lat-and-plaster finished homes are likely not going to be able to accommodate. Ceiling hooks are included, but I didn't see any use for them, given the way the wall mounts work (but they'll be nice for other work I'm doing). The biggest negative I see is that the hook count is a bit skimpy and additional hooks are a bit pricy, given the overall cost of the rack. But, I still give this rack a 5/5 it's sturdy, well-made, easy to mount, and I'm confident that I will get many years of use out of it.

I have no technical skills whatsoever, and yet, this was easy to put together. It's perfect for the space I've got. I use it in my garage, and it holds all my items. Lightweight, but sturdy. highly recommend, and I would get another one without hesitation.

I have recently purchased 6 of these units, 1 from a retail store and 5 online. The shelves are easy to assemble and very sturdy. I also bought Sterilite 01428501 4-Shelf Utility Cabinet with Putty Handles, Platinum assuming it would have similar sturdy shelves IT DOES NOT if you want to store heavy items this shelving unit is a better bet, the shelves in the cabinet buckled within a day when I tried to store some paint cans on them.

The shelves are very good value for money but the MANUFACTURER's packaging does leave a little to be desired. They are bound very tightly with plastic strips to keep them together and this cuts into the top and bottom shelves, cosmetic but annoying. There is no cushioning so out of 5 units I had a total of 4 damaged shelves. As per the manufacturers instructions I contacted them and not Amazon and was initially told to take the "complete unit" back to the store, when I explained they came from Amazon I was told they don't normally replace units bought online as they are damaged too easily! This is something to bear in mind. However they did reluctantly replace the 4 shelves. I am sure Amazon would have taken them back but it would have involved the hassle of packing and returning them.

I received the Sterilite 4-Shelf Sheving Unit, Platinum today. I was quite pleased. I use it in my computer room to hold paper products, boxes of laminate used in my laminator. The supplies are heavy and the shelves are strong enough to accommodate my needs. Now the things I need are where I can see them instead of stored in boxes. The color blends with the wall paint. This unit eliminate the clutter. The room appears larger. Just love it. Wish I had ordered two.

So I read the previous reviews and was worried that it would come to me with dents, breaks, etc. Well, mine was in mint condition, and the packaging was done fairly well. They had the box containing the material within another box that had some big brown paper to cushion the delivery. I don't know if the company decided to read the reviews, or if they got sick of getting their items back, but I do know that my stuff was delivered promptly and in excellent condition.

For the price, it is a good deal because the shelves were easy to put together and it is holding everything. I have tons of big juice bottles on the top shelf (juice is heavy) and everything is holding up fine. I would recommend this product and am planning to buy from the company again.

This is made of pine, and it is solid wood. For this price, you really can't beat it. My husband and I put it together in about a half an hour.
