Definitely not a diy'er & was reluctant to order a product that needed that expertise. However, the low price for what seemed to be just the right product was a big influence to order this particular rack. It arrived sooner than expected and was easy as pie to put together.

We had originally purchased a 40-inch TV which I have reviewed elsewhere. We got it with a stand that was suitable but somewhat high. When we changed to the 50-inch Panasonic Viera plasma unit, we needed a table that would be the right height and also be a decent looking, sturdy, long-lived piece of furniture. We looked at quite a number of units and were pages deep in Amazon's advertisements when we found this one. We were not disappointed. The stand went together easily, there were no obvious imperfections in the wood, the back of the unit had access ports for cable runs for both middle and lower shelves and otherwise was black and opaque. The glass shelves are basically opaque and quite heavy. And, when the TV is fully set up with the Roku on the middle shelf and the TiVo and BlueRay play on top of each other on the bottom shelf, all connected to power and to the TV with HDMI cables, no wires show. The 50-inch screen width is just slightly wider than the stand, but not unsightly so, and it is at exactly the right height. The only reason I gave this a 4-star rating rather than a 5-star is that the top glass piece is not held in place by anything but its own weight, which is quite substantial. It sits on rubber buttons to keep it from sliding but it still moves around when I try to adjust the location of the TV stand on top of the glass. This, in itself, is really inconsequential but I felt important to note. All in all, a good product which I can highly recommend to others.

We first saw this cabinet on Target.com [where it DOES state that assembly is required] and decided to purchase it as a kitchen pantry. We were lucky enough to find it in-store, saving us a small fortune in shipping cost.

It's a beautiful piece, well made, and not all that hard to assemble [2 hours], but it's quite a bit darker than the picture. Still beautiful and very functional.

This cabinet is very nice, but not as tall as the picture makes it look. So that this item finally has some measurements out there, it is 60" H x 16" D x 30" W. It holds a LOT! The stain is not dark so you still see the grain of the wood, but personally I would have preferred it to have been a deeper darker stain. Regardless, it still looks very nice. This item is a little over 100 pounds, so pretty heavy and solid. Also it is a very dense flake board, so not true wood in my eyes, but again it does not look like that once it is fully put together. This item was very easy to put together, but it does take two people in spots and you must make sure to put it together where you want it, because it does not slide well.

I bought this cabinet to store all of my daughter's toys in a way that concealed the clutter of puzzle boxes, games, and stuff like that. I was able to fit EVERYTHING in there plus from extra stuff.

The reason I am giving this item only 4 stars though, is because of all the problems I had with the delivery company YRC Freight. This item is one of those items that requires you to have someone other than the delivery company help carry it into your home. I was told by YRC Freight that this item would be at my house between 10-2pm and that I would get a call 1 hr before delivery. I asked my father who normally takes care of my bed ridden mother to come help with this item, because my husband had to work and I am pregnant and can't unload it myself. 2pm came and went. When I called YRC Freight, at 2pm, I was told that the drive had NO ETA as to when he would be at my house. At 5pm I told my father to go home so he could check on my mom, since the guy would call and give me an hour notice, that would be enough time for my husband to get home at 6pm if he called. 10 minutes after my dad left, the driver called to say he was 5 minutes away!!!! Since the company will not allow the driver to come into my home, I was left with a cabinet sitting on my porch, in the cold, waiting for my husband to get home 45 min. later! The driver was more than 3 1/2 hrs late and in the process of rolling the cabinet up my driveway with a hand truck, he broke the border around my flower bed and all he said was oops!!! I was so frustrated and disappointed! I wasted my whole day and my poor dad's whole day waiting for this thing!

When I complained to Amazon about this, they got back to me almost immediately and refunded me $40 for my trouble. Overall, I am satisfied with the cabinet and the way Amazon handled the poor service on the part of YRC Freight, but I am really hoping that OfficeFurniture.com considers finding a new delivery company.

I would say that people should still order this cabinet, but don't make any plans for delivery day.

My kitchen has very little storage so I ordered this cabinet to keep my pots, pans, baking equipment etc and non-perishable foods.

It arrived via a freight company and it is sidewalk delivery. The carton was extremely heavy so I opened it in the hallway and carried it piece by piece up one flight of stairs. Although it was packaged well, there were a few dings in the doors and shelves.

As the instructions indicate, it is easier to put together with two people. A rubber mallet is needed but I improvised with a regular hammer wrapped in a tea towel. I was able to construct it all by myself in about 3 hours, which included carrying it upstairs and clean up.

I called the manufacturer to let them know about the small damages. They offered to send me two new doors free, but I opted for the repair kit that they sent and was able to disguise the nicks.

I'm extremely happy. It is a very solid piece of furniture and it doesn't look like a DIY at all. And it perfectly matches my oak table and chairs.

This is a great product. It fits well above my fireplace surround, it was easy to install, it is very sturdy and can hold up to 30lb of knick knacks. It would be great if they offered more widths to better accomodate the needs of consumers.

I wouldn't put a single pound on this over the max weight, nor any floating shelf like it. Physics is physics. Levers are levers. I have a curious cat and now I have a sagging shelf.

Install was a snap though and it does what it claims. It displays crappy knick-knacks and photos, just not cats.

Item came with simple to install instructions. I used this with sheet glass 15" x 20" x 3/8". I use this to hold my cable box next to my wall mounted LED television. Very easy to install. Very sturdy. Highly recommend.

Nexera 200317 Elegance Curio Cabinet, Espresso

This cabinet is OK it looks nice but holds very little. Also the holes are off so the drawer opens when you open the top glass cabinet. Also when you move it the legs wobble and have to be held on by hand.

Its now been a few months later and this whole thing has fallen apart. It does not stand the test of time.

This curio cabinet is no deal. Spend a little more and get a whole lot more. This is entirely made of poor quality particle board and none of the colors of the "wood " pieces match. Overall a very poor quality piece of furniture that's not worth more than $100. The unit arrived damaged and even if it didn't , it was extremely time consuming to put together since the hardware is of such poor quality that it wouldn't fit together correctly without a lot of negotiation. This is a poor imitation of an Ikea product so save your money and buy it from them. You'll be better for it.

Box was shredded, inside there were at least two major pieces broken in half. Returning it was frustrating so I didn't bother with getting the same one again and picked out something else from Overstock.com

Lone Elm Studios Galvanized Metal Wall Shelf

A gift shop owner who had just returned from market in Dallas told me that galvanized tin, burlap and numbered items were going to be big in home decor this season. This item had two out of the three features! I had recently redecorated my guest bath and was looking for something to hold guest toiletries when I came across this item. It turned out to work perfectly because I was able to hang it on the wall above the toilet which freed up counter space. Also, it is something a little bit different and fun to use for an otherwise boring purpose. And it has gotten many compliments.

Nice and sturdy. A little awkward to assemble but not too bad. Packaging was damages and random plastic parts where all over the place, but overall a good buy.

When I purchased these shelf brackets it was difficult to tell if they were a heavy gauge material or not, they are and work very well. The mounting is through a keyhole slot which makes them pretty easy to mount. The slot is slightly offset to allow for a screwdriver without hitting the support. I am very pleased with this product.

Purchased two of these together and began putting them on wall when discovering that one of them was not "square" at all with my level. The bracket angled upwards about 10 degrees different from the other bracket which was square with the level............not good when you are trying to hang a shelf that should be level!

Though I have yet to mount the shelf for which I purchased these brackets, I am pleased with their shape and quality. It is difficult to find decorative brackets for narrow shelving and these fit the bill for the purpose I have in mind. I am pleased with my purchase and hope to put them to use soon.

Creative Connectors Corp 29'Walornmantel Shelf 6700263 Shelving Decorative Wood

I spent a total of 4 months looking for wall mantel shelf between 27 and 29 inches long. When this one finally appeared on Amazon, I was beside myself. It wasn't hardwood, but the specifications were promising. The price at which it was offered, was icing on the cake. The previously stated facts, are why I didn't rate this product a TWO. Here are some of the disappointments and therefore a rating of 3:

1)Package was beautifully wrapped. However, the edges of of the shelf were somewhat delicate. I actually damaged both short edges (slight cracking), trying to pull the wrap off.

2)This is a double layer shelf. The underbottom layer on one side of the shelf was pulling apart. There appeared to be no glue on one end of the shelf. However the opposite end was well connected and sealed.

Considering length of time to find the desired type shelf and I am somewhat of of DIYer, I decided to finish the glue job and paint the shelf to cover the cracking finish of the edges. It looks pretty darn good... now.

Pros:

1)The hanging process is exactly as stated and quite easy.

2)The shelf feels and displays as very sturdy and elegant.

3)Extremely strong against wall. Tight fit.

I would purchase this again, only considering my skill set, patience, and desire of specfications of product. However if you don't have time for extended DIY or other surprises, consider wisely.
