This would've been a 5 star review, right up until I finished attaching the doors...

The Good:

Very easy to assembly (accept the doors...) It job should take between 30-40 minutes

Nice finishing touches that you'd expect from Closetmaid (like covers for the exposed fasteners and a good bracket to secure the unit to the wall)

The Bad & the Ugly:

The doors leave a 3/4 of an inch gap down the middle. I thought I put the thing together wrong it looked so bad!

I corrected their bad design by putting two thin washers between the hinge and the side and replacing their screws with some slightly longer ones. I was really annoyed that a 30 min job turned into a couple hours of realizing I didn't mess the thing up, working out a solution, and rooting around for the right parts.

When assembling the doors, it was hard to support and screw them in a the same time. I used a couple of boxes to prop the door up while I screwed in the hinges.

this cabinet is sturdy and easy to assemble. but my main complaint is that there is about a 3/4 inch gap between the two doors which sorta defeats my purpose of having a clean linen closet as bugs could easily fly/crawl in the gap.

Overall it seems like a pretty good budget pantry. Took about an hour to assemble but it's real sturdy with lots of room. No complaints, was exactly what I was looking for.

My biggest and only issue with this cabinet is that the cabinet doors do not meet in the middle. There is a gap of almost half an inch that exposes the contents of the pantry. If you are storing the pantry in a closet or in a garage, this will probably not be a big deal for you...but I needed this for my kitchen and to have a strip of exposed pantry and canned good items, etc is not all what I was looking for, nor does it give the appearance of a well built cabinet. I called closetmaid to complain and they told me that this was how the cabinet was designed (excuse me???...that makes no sense) and that if you look carefully at the box you will see the gap between the cabinet doors (sure enough...she was right...but who is looking for that when you are purchasing the items???). I was simply told that I was more than welcome to return the product to Target...great, that's perfect now that I have spent all of this time putting it together. So alas, it has become a storage unit for my garage which is not at ALL what I had purchased it for.

If there had been no gaps between the cabinet doors I would have rated it a 4 or a 5. Yes it is particle board, yes it has a cardboard backing...but these things should be expected of a pantry at this price point. It is very sturdy and otherwise well made. I am just really bummed about the gap between the doors and Closetmaid's apparent lack of concern of their poor quality of craftmanship when it comes to cabinet doors. I will definitely think twice before buying another Closetmaid product. Their motto is definitely Buyer Beware!!

Easy to assemble. Everything fit perfectly. I think reviewers who had door issues don't realize the hinges are crucial. They have adjustable slots to get the doors to fit exactly the way they should. I am 62 and only 5 ft tall and had no problem assembling, getting the doors on correctly and then moving it into position. The mantelpiece is gorgeous! I love it! It is just as I expectedbeautifully finished. I can hardly wait until Christmas to hang stockings from it.

I choose this rating because there was just no way to improve this product. I had a difficult time finding a mantel for a smaller fireplace wall, which didn't look like just a "shelf". I wanted it to be beautiful, and yet fit properly in a small family room area, and not obstruct the TV. This product is well made, and beautiful with the angle corner edges, and fit perfectly. It came a few days early, and packaged for safe shipping. I would definately recommend any of the Pearl products to a friend. My only concern is, it is made in China, and I thought when I ordered it, it was US made. I sent an email expressing my disappointment. I hope more pearl products will be US made in the near future.

I really like the design of this shelf. It is easy to affix, very solid, and stays in place. I initally purchased one for the shower, and ended up buying two more for a tile backsplash in the kitchen. Very happy with this purchase.

We purchase two of these shelves for our shower, but after a week one the suction cups will no longer work. The other shelf is working fine so it may just be a defect on this particular one but we will not purchase any more of this model.

The product arrived it a beaten up box. One of the shelves was warped and bent beyond repair. We didn't even receive the correct legs for the shelves. (6 female fittings and 2 male fittings). The plastic supports for the shelves were scattered throughout the box and not even in a bag. (Some where broken and attached to the legs. It appears that someone tried to previously put the shelves together and just threw everything back into the box. We ordered a NEW set of shelves and ended up with an un-useable set of broken used shelves. Not good at all !!!

I purchased this to store all of my medical books, canning jars and other stuff I have stored in my upstairs loft instead of storing in storage tubs or boxes. Snap to assemble! Very sturdy and you can adjust the shelf height to meet your needs! I ordered this TV stand online, and it was delivered within three (3) days with no issues. I spent about an hour assembling the stand (by myself) without any problems. The directions were straightforward and easy to follow. I like the look and design of the stand, and it fits nicely into the corner area of the TV room. This stand is nice but a few complaints and uncertainty about it.

1. the stand seems a bit unlevel when put on the carpet.

2. i have read some reviews about a sagging problem on the front of the tv. I can see how this could be a problem since the front doesn't strecth out to the front of the tv.

3. the stand doesn't come with dots or felt to keep your tv from sliding off the stand. Which could be easily done since the tv is so light in weight.

4. the shelving system seems a bit flimsy as well, my xbox and sat reciever on the bottom shelf pushes it to it's weight limits i think.

I've only had this stand for a few days but all in all it's style and engineering is nice. Haven't had any problems so far.

Poundex Corner Shelf, Cappuccino

Heavy weight shelf for corner of room. Much more robust than you'd think from the Amazon photo. At first, I thought the price was high for a corner shelf. I was wrong. This shelf is very hefty.

The distance between shelves is 13 inches. The distance of the bottom shelf back (corner) to front is 17 inches. The second from bottom is 15 inches, and so on.

I put it together in about 50 minutes with one person (me), not two as recommended in the instructions.

The instructions say to attach it to the wall; it has wall anchor straps and even dry sheetrock wall plastic "hangers". I did not damage my wall with the hardware, I just set it firmly in the corner and it leans back, not front, by design, so it does not appear that it'd fall forward unless some little kid was to try to climb it. I have no little kids here.

Like all shelves, I put the heavier items on the bottom. I have no sense that the shelf will buckle or bend, even if used for books, which is what I am doing in sort of a fan shape on the shelves. It is sturdy enough for books. I recently bought and reviewed a three shelf Ore bookcase Ore International 3 Tier Bookshelves Espresso that costs the same as this corner shelf. Although the Ore will hold more books, this Poundex corner shelf is better made.

The Poundex cherry is red and cherry color (rather than brown cherry, as many spray painted Chinese pieces can be). I do not whiff the lousy cheap shellac smell that ruins much cheap furniture (like the Ore).

I bought the Poundex corner shelf based on the five star Amazon reviews, and now I have added my own. Thanks a bunch.

We had an awful time putting this together. Directions clear as mud. Neither Screws or t nuts would tighten. Pre drilled holes were misalaigned, it takes at least two people to get this together(knees and backs are still smarting.) making this 10 times worse than your standard IKEA assembly. Perhaps we just got dud, as we haven't had trouble with previous assemblies. This piece of garbage is currently "put together" and at least standing. It's going in the basement to hold hold garden tools. Not worth the hassel of packing up and returning. Save your money, buy a better peice of furniture.

I, like others, was impressed by the quality of the wood and design, but the product fell short on assembly. First, I was short four pegs, two wooden caps, and one wood screw. Secondly, a few holes were not pre-drilled all the way through, and four were not drilled at all. I had to triple check that I was assembling the item correctly, but the instructions are easy to follow so I broke out some tools and drilled out the holes. Once assembly is near complete, you have an assembled top and bottom piece. The top nearly aligned perfectly with the bottom, but not quite. You can't tell from the front though. Lastly, a few caps didn't fit snugly over the screw holes, and I had to add a little of the wood glue to each one. All in all, nice looking, but I would not buy again.

My first one was missing one of the leg pieces. This wasn't immediately obvious because it did have four legs -but one of them was an extra part "C" instead of the required part "D". Amazon overnighted a replacement unit and that one was okay. Both of them were missing the washers listed in the instructions, but you only need those if you're anchoring it to the wall and they should be easy to get at a hardware store.

Note that the assembly involves glue (included), so once it's together it doesn't come apart.

The part identification stickers do not peel off cleanly, so you might want to have some sort of adhesive remover handy.

I was able to put it together by myself, I think in less than an hour. It can be a bit awkward to get the first bolts in place so an extra pair of hands would probably help. I didn't have any problem with misaligned holes. The peg holes in the shelves were much tighter than the ones in the legs, and that was the same in both units so it's probably by design.

The undersides of the shelves are not finished as nicely as the tops, so if you're putting this somewhere that people can see it from below, such as on a staircase landing, that might be a concern.

Overall, once it's together it's a pretty nice shelf. It looks good and it's very sturdy.

Although the description states it's a 3-Shelf, the Origami R5-01 is actually a 4-Shelf rack. I love these 3 and 4-Tier steel constructed racks. They do everything they're advertised to do. I have all 3 sizes too, and thanks to Amazon's FREE Super Saver Shipping Discounts they arrived quickly via UPS 2nd Day Air. I couldn't find a better price for all 3 sizes anywhere else. Takes about 30 seconds each to set up. I didn't write "assemble" because there is none. Just pull it out of the box, stand it up, spread it open, fold over the top rack, then lock 2 latches to secure (top shelf on the left side & 2nd shelf in the middle on the back side). Add about 5 minutes if you're going to use the wheels/casters because you have to screw them in (they're threaded). Saw these on HSN. Ordered one and it was terrific! Once I saw how great, went onto Amazon. Now get shipping free with Prime! Have 5 in total. Completely rearranged my basement after I lost the whole thing in hurricane Irene. I need the storage but don't want to risk further loss fro water damage. Needed metal shelving at reasonable cost. These are sturdy, easy to assemble. Relatively inexpensive and metal . Now I store stuff in waterproof bins on these great shelves. Highly recommend don't think twice. They are great. I confess I ordered two of these from the shopping channel, and although they turned out to be a great product, I ordered two white ones and was sent 1 white and 1 pewter. Not a real big deal since they are going in the garage, but it would have been nice to have a matching set. Now I am looking at Amazon which has them about 40.00 cheaper, and free shipping....Wow! As far as the condition they were in upon receipt, yes the boxes were banged up, but you almost have to expect that, it's a pretty heavy item. So as far as shipping is concerned, I can't really agree that it's any better threw the shopping channel.

I'm going to pick up a couple more of these, because they make your garage look awesome....like you're proud to open the door again and show off a little!

Duck Cushioned Surface Non-Adhesive Solid Easy Shelf Liner 20-Inch Wide by 4-Feet Long

I needed a heavy shelf liner that was opaque. This product lays very well, cushions the surface, and is substantial. The only problems with it are the shipping (for some reason each roll always arrived individually encased in a box twice as wide and tall as necessary), cutting, and odor in enclosed spaces. The odor eventually dissipates; the cutting itself isn't difficult, but the tiny embedded grid lines are hard to see. I recommend making several marks to guide cutting. Also, if you don't need something this heavy or opaque and you want to be able to slide things in and out on the liner (this one isn't suited to that) see this Warp Brothers #PM210-C 24x10' Clear Ribbed Liner as an alternative.

I love this stuff. I have used it to make a nice-looking cover for our wooden coffee table, desk covers for our two wooden desks, and covers for our wooden nightstands. It is incredibly durable, easy to clean, and has withstood years of hard use. I like that fact that we can prevent damage to our wood furniture from dishes, food, or electronic equipment. It seems a bit pricey, but it is totally worth the money for how durable and versatile it is. I haven't as yet used it as a traditional shelf liner, but I'm sure it would be the best at that job, too.

Fit perfectly on top our tv console center that is now housing a Keurig machine. I wanted something to protect the surface and also absorb some of the minor sound/vibrations from the coffee machine during brewing.

This material works very nicely and now lines my rolling tool chest drawers. It's easy to cut and lasts for years. My last purchase of this material was 12 years ago. That material is still in good shape in another tool chest. I tried the perforated type liner material and it disintegrated within a couple of years.

Corner/Shelf Bracket

I ordered and paid for six of these. When they arrived there were only four in the box and one was broken. I have tried to contact the company with no response as of yet. The items I did recieve that were not busted look as nice as the picture however i cant trust the the product enough to put any real weight on it. These should be used a decore only.

This is a nice and sturdy bracket, would have been better if screws were included. It is a difficult color to match.

I purchased a 47 inch LED HD television to replace my aging and bulky 27 inch CRT television. My old TV and VCR sat on a small stand and my receiver, DVD player, VSH tapes, record player, cable box, and cable router were in a tall (72 inches) cabinet. I wanted one unit that would hold all of my equipment in style. After searching through over 50 different styles and brands of entertainment stands, I chose this one. It can be difficult to determine if a particular product will fit your needs just by looking at a picture on a website. Fortunately I was able to find the general measurements and "guessimated" it would be a good fit. As for the unit itself, the color of the finish is much darker than shown. The overall quality of the materials were very good and sturdy. All the hardware was well packed and no parts were missing. The instructions was fairly clear, but could be better with more and clearer written guidance. It took approximately two hours to put it together by myself. Putting on and adjusting the glass doors was the biggest challenge, but otherwise the assembly was fairly easy. You will need a heavy duty phillips screwdriver and a small hammer for assembly. It would be best to have another person available to help move the unit once it is put together, it weighs over 120 pounds. Once I had the unit put into place, I transferred all of the above mentioned equipment onto it. I wish I could show a photo of the completed setup, it worked better than I anticipated. It looks like a unit costing $$ more. The 47 inch HD TV looks great sitting on the simulated granite top. My biggish Onkyo receiver is a great fit on the top middle shelf with room for ventilation (this unit can run hot). My center speaker fit perfectly on the shelf beneath the TV with the DVD player and AT&T cable box on either side. The VCR and tapes went on the shelves behind the glass doors. It has totally transformed the look in my living room and enhanced my audio visual experience.

I like it for the price. Fairly easy to assemble. Quality is good. My only gripe is the color of the finish. It is not a truly Maple finish. It was significantly darker than the Internet photos and the color photo on the side of the delivered box. So, the finish is not true to what is marketed. Don't expect it to even come close to matching any existing "Maple" furniture in your room.

Several very small packing damage. Also the top and center dips about a 3/8 of an inch downward. All in all it looks very nice and the average person would not notice anything unless shown. Good by for the money.. Would recommend to others for I think this might have been an over sight.

The wood is a very dark brown. Not like in the picture AT ALL. Also top is very dark and warped. Too heavy to send back, we set it up and are living with it but we really don't like it. I should have listened to other reviewer that said it was not maple color. Live and learn.
