I ordered the 22-Inch shelf. Unfortunately, the product description didn't explain what the 22 inch measurement was for. I incorrectly assumed it was a diagonal measurement of the shelf. It is, in fact, the measurement of each side of the shelf touching the wall. This shelf is huge. So, I will be returning it for the 16 inch. I wish the product description would have been more clear. Oh I also noticed there are about 6 small and uniform holes drilled on the surface of the shelf. I do not know what those holes are for and would rather they were not there.

This is an attractive shelf that was really easy to install. I liked the walnut finish and I put a heavy lamp on the shelf and it holds it without a problem. Overall, it's a great shelf that holds a lot of weight, is easy to install and looks nice. Highly recommended!

I bought two of these shelves, different sizes, to put in the corner of my small laundry room to store laundry supplies. The description said it would hold quite a bit of weight, which is what I wanted. When I got them it seemed unlikely that the two little strips of wood used to hold the shelf would do that. But it does. Like I said, so farso good. I have only had them a couple of weeks, but they seem very sturdy. I have two large (170oz) containers of liquid laundry detergent on the lower one (16") plus two smaller bottles of other laundry cleaners. I placed it at a height so I could use it to dispense the detergent. The upper one (12") I use for an iron. They look very nice in the corner and I have gotten compliments on them. The only thing I would recommend is to try and put the screws in a stud, if you can. I could not do that and would feel more confident if I wasn't relying on the screws in drywall (with anchors included). Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and look of these shelves.

I bought this shelf along with one size larger and a 22" size for my son's nursery. This shelf is large enough to fit a photo book, a piggy bank (average sized) and a small stuffed animal. The color is a deep chocolately brown (what I would describe as "Espresso"). The shelves were just as easy to install as the description claims which surprised me!. Use a level and preferably a second set of hands and you'll be all set! They really do look like they are floating in the corner of the room. My only complaint is that just installing them caused a few knicks and scratches. nothing all that noticeable and if I had installed them with someone else I may have been able to avoid causing them but nonetheless, they are not solid hardwood so be careful! Overall, very pleased!

It is a nice product at a good price. A note to the wise. Make sure your walls are square. If they are not square the shelf will not work as designed. I needed to make my own shelf supports. If your walls are square the shelf should work fine. I am still satisfied with the product.

Walker Edison 44 Inch Wood Corner TV Console

After lengthy online search I decided NOT to purchase this Walker Edison 44" Castillo Brown Corner TV Console. It took me forever, but I finally found the shelf dimensions, which are not listed on Amazon.

Shelf Dimensions: 39" W x 12" D x 8" H

I read somewhere else that the cabinet usable depth (inside) is 12.75 inches. That's quite a bit smaller than the overall 16'' depth. Many home theater receivers are deeper than 12.75''. My Denon AVR1910 has a 14.75'' depth (as do others receivers like the similarly priced Onkyo).

Wow! I dodged a bullet. I'm glad I didn't order this, and put it together only to discover my components would not fit. I guess I could leave the doors off or try to open the back, but not sure that would work.

I'm just putting the usable depth info here because it took me a while to find.

Good luck. I still cannot find a corner cabinet with doors that will fit into my small corner space between window and fireplace. This unit appeared to be just right.

Thank you, Bob "Bob" for putting those dimensions up. It is rather shallow, so take that into consideration before buying. Unfortunately I didn't, only to find that my DVR player did not fit inside with the doors closed! Well, without cables I could close the doors, but with the cables plugged into the back, I needed a good 1/2 inch more. That sucked. Luckily I'm a little handy and drilled individual holes for each cable. An ordinary spade bit did the trick, and rather nicely. Now the DVR fits, though it wasn't easy plugging everything into it!

Also, a note on assembly. Because you're dealing with wood composite material, be careful, especially with the wood dowels. One of them actually came through the side when I was attaching the shelf to the side of the cabinet. (Luckily, I have some scrap walnut in the garage, so I intend to cover that up with a decorative "button.") True, I was using possibly too much force, but this leads me to think some of the holes for the dowels may have been a bit too shallow. When possible, try a dry fit before gluing everything together. The instructions were OK, but obviously a few more warnings were in order. Live and learn.

I'm really happy with this product. It took only about an hour by myself to put together. Every piece was clearly marked and the instructions were correct. Even though it's not solid wood, it's well made materials and no cardboard back. All nice quality panels. Well thought out design. however be sure to check dimensions of your electronic equipment. I failed to check that so a few of my components wouldn't fit since it's a corner stand.

The lower crossbar that's holds the sides together didn't fit since my toilet plumbing is on exact same level, and that makes the whole structure quite a bit flimsy. I have been looking for a clean minimalistic space-saver for some time now and thought I would give it a try. The product was pretty straight forward to put together. It has Ikea like directions and it takes about 20 mins for 1 person . As a reviewer above suggested the cross bar at the base is tricky if your plumbing intervenes but thankfully I didnt have that problem and its a pretty sturdy unit provided all your screws are tightened. The tempered glass shelves come well protected and sit on suction cups on the corners of the chrome shelf base .very thoughtful! Also the base of the shelves provide a quarter inch lip all around the shelf which prevents small things from falling off.

Its a pretty good buy for the price, Ive had it for about a week and a half and found no problems! Maybe they changed the design and the instruction sheets since the last reviews ..I dont know but thankfully it works for me ! I would recommend it !

I have a small bathroom and lots of stuff. This shelf fits perfectly into the space around and above the toilet adding three handy, room shelves for stuff like shaving equipment and water pic.

Unlike some it is very sturdy, especially when I mounted it to the wall at one point. It is very nice looking, well designed. Unlike some over-toilet shelves (Etagere), it does not look cheap and flimsy. But unlike others, it is reasonably priced and easy to assemble.

The shelves are bowed out in the middle so it is not the full depth all along the width. That was good for me because I did not have to removes some wall fixtures to place it. The shelves are roomy and secure. The shelf glass is tempered and thick.

It looks great and it's very handy. I was going to build shelves but this is cheaper and better looking.

I did a lot of research looking at many models of Etagere and user reviews, and I am glad I picked this one.

I do not think this thing was worth the box it came in. It would not go together properly. At the very end you are supposed to screw on the top caps, but the screws did not stick up high enough to fasten. I do not know if it was user error (I'm usually pretty good at putting these kinds of things together) or if I got a defective product. Overall, I would not recommend this. Even if it had gone together properly, I do not think it looks worth the price it is listed for.

DO NOT order this product. A portion of it is plastic coated with a metal colored coating that scratches off easily, also the metal parts are lightly scrated and dented. After putting together 100 different parts, the shelf is so unsteady, I'm afraid its going to topple over at any time.

This space saver is fairly easy to assemble. However, in order for it to be remotely sturdy you'll need to attach it to the wall (which requires tools). If you omit this step, the unit is very wobbly and is not sturdy. It is very difficult to level this unit properly as well. Overall, I would consider this unit to be very poor quality and would suggest looking for something more sturdy.

Sauder Beginnings Storage Cabinet - Soft White

Was very easy to put together and looks OK. Biggest downside (and why I have only 4 stars) is that it only has two shelves and does not extra adjustment holes to add another shelf yourself.

I am very sensitive to chemicals, so I debated about purchasing this type of cabinet. It has been months now since the purchase, but I can still smell the chemicals. The cabinet serves the purpose we bought it for, and is a good size to go in our hallway. I called the company to ask about the outgassing, and they said it should be through outgassing in a week or two. I've tried leaving the doors open, and we left it on a covered porch for a few days, but it is still giving off fumes. Would have liked to have given it a better review, as it isn't the workmanship that is the problem, but the type of material used.

4D Concepts Boy's TV Cart, Beech

I really love this product but I have two complaints. First, the wheels are very cheap. They are plastic and they suck simply put. I had to replace them because one of the wheels broke within 24 hours of purchase and there wasn't even anything on the stand yet. The other I have isn't really a complaint but the backboard has no hole in it so if you plan on putting a component in the little cubby you should probably cut a hole in the backboard prior to assembling the stand just to make it easier on yourself as I didn't lol. Otherwise it is a great stand and it looks great.

I ordered this cabinet for the room my grandchildren use when they are visiting. We had a small TV to put on it and the bins underneath to be used as toy storage. It was not difficult to assemble, although it did take about an hour. The quality is as expected for a particle board cabinet, but appears to be well designed and very sturdy. I am pleased with the cabinet.

I ordered 6 of these, and 4 of them came with stickers on them that matched the surfaces. The stickers were designed to cover up flaws. Since the stickers were mostly on top and we were using them for printers, this was not a huge problem. If you are using the surface, you may want to select something else. We also switched the drawers so they would match each other. They come with drawers in two colors to match some of their other accessories.

Atlantic 38435623 Oskar Media Tower 756 CD (Maple)

I purchased two of these Oskar media storage units last year and was very satisfied. I needed a third one for recent expansion, but Atlantic/Oskar has redesigned this unit without explanation and without improvement. The overall frame is the same: height, width and depth. While the total number of adjustable shelves are the same (30), the size and weight of the shelves have changed. In the units I bought last year, the shelves were were 1/2" thick and were 5.5 inches deep, the full depth of the shelving unit. The new shelves are only 3/8" thick and 4.5 inches deep. The old shelves weighed 14 oz, and new shelves weigh 8.5 oz, so the total package weight dropped by 10 pounds, which may have been the motivation for the redesign. The mounting holes have also shifted, so the shelves from the new and old units are not interchangeable.

What is the big deal you may ask? With a 5.5 in depth, DVDs sit completely on the shelf. With only 4.5 inches, the DVDs overhang by about half and inch. With a thinner profile (3/8"), the shelves are more likely to sag over time. The 1/2" shelves have shown no sign of sagging in the past year.

We did not see this design flaw until we put the media unit together. We plan on returning it to Amazon.

I ordered this unit, thinking it was the Atlantic Oskar 1080 (product number 38435418). It's NOT. The shelves are cheaper, thinner, and poorly finished. Overall, a far inferior product, clearly a cheap replacement for the earlier "Oskar 1080." Only thing is, they are clearly trying to pass the new, chintzier one off as the same shelf. A bit sleazy.

It really pisses me off when a company like Atlantic substitutes an inferior product for an existing one, without making it clearer --for instance, by changing the product name or picture. The box, when it arrived, said something like "formerly called Oskar," but it's a bit late to find that out, when it's already at your house!

Don't buy this one -if you're going to get a "1080-CD" rack, find the "other" Oskar, with the product number 38435418. I think Best Buy still has them.

I don't understand a lot of the negative reviews on this product. I just got mine yesterday and it worked out perfect. It's sturdy (wall brackets work great) and was super easy to put together. Only took me about 45 minutes. For the price, I think it's a great deal. Looks great too. All the people complaining either don't know how to put things together or fly through the instructions too fast to catch the details. It's a sturdy peice of furniture for the price and does exactly what it's suppose to do. If you need a good media storage unit at a good price, don't hesitate on this one. Only reason I didn't give if 5 stars is because it doesn't do my laundry no matter how many times I yell at it :p

As someone who has many thousands of CD's and DVD's, and the racks to go with them, I feel that I can address this product with a good degree of experience and knowledge. In short, I feel that one can't beat this price for a product of this type. Granted, it's not a custom piece of wood furniture, but it is not meant to be. It's particle board covered with wood grain veneer. If recognized for that, it looks good, and is well-made for that type. Some reviewers have mentioned that the shelves are less deep than the older Oskars, and that their CD's stick out. This is true, but for me, it's a non-issue. In fact, I find that it's actually easier to grasp a case when they stick out a bit from the shelf. I have an older Atlantic Oskar, and the quality seems about the same, which is to say that the finish is good, and the pieces fit together properly. If one is patient, and takes the time to look at the illustrations and directions, then assembly shouldn't be a problem. Some reviewers have mentioned two issues which I do find worth addressing, though. One is that it is important to give extra care and attention to the alignment of the back wall piece. The appearance of the right angles can be deceptive, so make sure that there is solid wood under it before nailing. Also, do make sure to support the two halves of the unit when flipping it over to nail on the wall backing. Some books or towels will support the weight. Additionally, if you're looking for an exact match with the older model, then yes, they probably won't match up to a perfect degree, due to shelf heights. The item arrived in a single 70 lb. box, so be aware of the weight. As one other reviewer mentioned, since there are countless little balls of broken styrofoam, be sure to unpack it where clean-up won't be a problem. Finally, I would highly recommend this product if you need some large-capacity storage at a great price.

Despite reading reviews, I still bought this. I wish I didn't. I bought one of these a few years back at Best Buy. Best Buy no longer carries it. I needed another one due to my growing media collection. This product is made much more poorly than the previous model. The top half leans and nearly fell apart till I attached the cheap backing to it. I don't believe the backing should support it, but it does. The shelves are the MAJOR downgrade. The shelves are thinner and only 4.5" deep. The shelves look stupid because they are no longer flush with the rest of the shelf. Also nearly everything I place on the shelf now overhangs the shelves. The is a poorly made shelf and I DO NOT recommend it. Just read the reviews.

Rubbermaid 5G71 FastTrack 25 Inch Upright

First off, I love the Rubbermaid Fasttrack system. Overall the product is a great value and a versatile way to keep all your stuff organized.

However, it is not cost effective by any stretch of the imagination to use the shelving options. You need three of this one item @ $15 each, 3 brackets for EACH shelf @ $5 each, and on top of that, each shelf is about $20. That's about $100 for two shelves. Yikes.

Again, the tracks themselves are wonderful. Hooks, bike racks, hangers, etc. They rock. But for shelves... not so much.

Be careful of what you receive. While the product claims to be a 5G71 FastTrack 25 in. Upright with Gripper, what is being provided is a totally different product; one that is available directly from Rubbermaid at half the price!

When these uprights first came out, they had a rubber "gripper" that attached tightly to the top rail. The newly (IMHO inferior) designed uprights do not have the "grippers" and do not "snap tightly to the rail" as stated in Amazon's description. In fact, the newly designed uprights just hook over the top of the rail and are free to swing back and forth. In order to secure them, Rubbermaid advises that they be secured to the wall using the included screws and drywall anchors. In some installations, they recommend that they be screwed directly to the wall studs. Once installed, they become permanent as any other wall mounted shelving system. In essence, the top rail serves no purpose, other than to act as an expensive alignment jig. The flexibility of the FastTrack system is lost. You can obtain the same functionality and save substantial money, by purchasing ordinary dual shelf standards and brackets. Many companies manufacture these products, but for an example of what is available, check out these Amazon links:

The Rubbermaid Fast-Track system is the best design rack system for those who hates clutter and busy garages and also loves to keep stuff off the ground on a very neat way.

Be aware of the price, the system looks inexpensive piece-by-piece, but if you plan to have several or multiple modular systems like I did, do the math first to avoid surprises.. Here is why...

I installed 2 of this one item @ $15 each = $30, 4 brackets for each shelf @ $8 each = $32, 2 shelves @ $25 = $50. That's roughly $112 for two shelves on a 48" rack system. Here is the interesting thing; I needed at least 3 systems and ended up spending $336 for the 3 racks. That's money..!!!

Additionally, I also installed 3 more systems to hang bikes, beach chairs, and some other stuff, which came out another $250 and at the end my total bill was a bit over of $600 as a total for this full project when completed.

I'm quite happy how my garage looks, and impressed how much room I got after hanging all my stuff and this system allows you to customize any layout combination you want. The quality is excellent, the finish is super clean, and fairly easy to install.

Did not give 5 starts because I had an issue with the product as it claimed to be a 5G71 Fast Track 25 in. Upright with Gripper, but arrived product was slightly different on the top, but still works and sits tight when mounted. Was not a big deal, but I had to decide if I wanted the system, had to accept this small difference. That's all..!!

THIS IS THE WORST PRODUCT I have ever bought on Amazon. Confusing construction; flawed design; and worse, it just doesn't work! The sliding mechanism is terrible -very hard to pull out or slide in. I have recommended to Amazon that they discontinue carrying this product. I only gave one star because the Amazon site won't let me give it zero stars.

The directions were confusing and the finished product was nowhere near as sturdy as I would have liked it to be. I would not recommend this product.

I have tons of books. Hundreds. I needed some more space and I didn't want to buy any more particle board Ikea junk such as I have been doing for years. So I splurged on this metal book case.
