This is my third Salamander Archetype product. The previous ones I bought several years ago and although I was satisfied with the quality of the products the big draw back was the black paint on the bolts which caused severe binding when screwing on the shelf nuts.
The current versions have fixed the binding issue! Assembling the unit was easy! The only low points are that the finish on the shelves isn't as good as my previous ones (particularly the edges which are a bit rough) and that the unit didn't include the cap bolts which are flat. Included were just nuts which don't sit as flat to the top shelf surface as the cap bolts. Called Salamander and received the cap bolts within a week. Thanks Salamander.

I bought this table in Cherry to go with one I had gotten over five years ago. It is still a strong, sturdy table, flexible, and easy to assemble (even for a woman).
However, this table does not have the quality of the old one: it is not as fine grained as I would expect in cherry; it has more knots or pits; it is much lighter in color although I know it will darken; and there are more individual boards used to create a shelf. For now I have taken and put one of the shelves from the older table on the top of the new one to have them match, and am letting the new shelves darken in hopes they will eventually show less difference.

Easy to put together, looks good, it's solid. For the money, there is nothing better. Having another shelf might be nice, but 3 will get you by.
This was very difficult to install in our frameless (Eurosyle) cabinets and we used a professional contractor! The support system is not as stable as some others as it relys on just a bottom glide system and the a couple of 'guides' on the side. Other brands use a top and bottom glide system. Also, the pegs which hold the shelves are VERY difficult to remove and required a pliers to take out of the holes. Still, once the pullout was installed and the shelves adjusted, it is a nice addition to our kitchen.
