Winsome Wood Stackable/Folding 3-Tier Shelf, Natural

Putting this shelf together was a tremendous hassle. You would think a folding shelf would come fairly assembled already. Instead, the folding construction makes it very difficult to assemble as directed. The included allen wrench stripped the wood screws very quickly. I had to buy a new set of similar screws and put the shelf together with a power drill. That was the only way to get the hardware tight enough to hold the shelf together safely and sturdily.

I received two of the same side pieces not two different(a single left and a single right) side pieces.

Very poor quality control. Six weeks later, I'm still waiting on the manufacturer to ship the correct piece.

This seems as if it is a easily unfolding shelf unit, but it is

really a heavy, complex kit which requires assembly. Be

sure this is what you want, and that you are able to assemble it.

The description does not say that it requires assembly.

After two hours of stripped screws, mangled shelves, and smashed fingers, I ended up using 3 bungee cords to hold a simple 3 shelf bookcase together. It holds books now, but I could have accomplished the same thing with some cement blocks and 1x6 planks. It is junk, and I'm assuming most of the other Winsome Wood products are of equally cheap construction. Save your money!

I'm so disappointed that I had to put these together myself. I really wanted these bookcases, I ordered (4) of them because they're stackable and they look great. I already had a couple of them from years back that I ordered from Stacks and Stacks and have been very happy with them. Years ago, when I first purchased, they were pre-assembled when I bought them directly from the store.

I tried for almost 45 minutes to put (1) bookcase together and gave up in frustration when I realized they would not be able to be stacked together the way I expected (this required hinges and extra brackets to be secured to the wall; not like the first set of bookcases I purchased which stacked together with pegs and did not need to be secured to the wall).

I'm returning all (4) pieces and am back to square one for my bookcase needs. Such a simple design, I don't know why they don't come pre-assembled.

Solid Wood Closets 16-Inch Depth Closet Organizer System

My wife did comprehensive market research, we received quotes from two local closets manufacturers, and ended up buying 7 Walk In Closet Organizer Systems and 2 towers to install in our two walk-in closets in the master bedroom. It's well-made, high quality, straight forward assembly. I believe the product has great value: we ended up spending approximately 1/2 plus several days of my work on the assembly of solid wood product relatively to a melamine quote we've received.

The company is located just north of downtown LA; I live in San Diego and decided to drive up there to save several hundreds of dollars on shipment of my last order of various extra shelves. I met the owner who turned out to be utmost professional 3-rd generation carpenter who knows a whole lot about this business; he was very friendly, worked with me, provided advice on the assembly (you can call him if you have questions) and even gave me some extra assembly hardware at no charge. I warmly recommend this company and its products!

Brookfield Bakers Rack

I was thrown off by the photo because of the shadow behind it. I thought the bakers rack looked "busy" but it's not. The finish is described as gun metal gray. It can also pass as black, just not dark black. I'm so happy with this, it's a good height, sturdy and looks great in my kitchen. The detailing on top is very nice. It's hard to tell but the shelves are glass except for the bottom one. My handyman put it together, it took about an hour.

2 Shelf Mobile Garment And Laundry Center

I'm very pleased. Its size is a little smaller than most metal post garmet racks -but that's exactly what I needed for the limited size & clearances of my laundry closet. The weight of the unit is also lighter than a proper "full duty" metal post garmet rack, but that's not a problem given that its purpose is temporary light-duty staging of clothes during the laundering process. That probably also explains how they can sell this thing so inexpensively. Also, I love the two swing-out bars --its a nice touch that adds tremendous flexbility and capacity to the unit. Can't beat it for the price. If the size works for you, then grab one, you'll be happy.

I bought this garment rack to place in a second bedroom due to may lack of closet space in our home. Very easy to put together, I did it myself without other help. Small tool is included to help do the job, no problem. I have other storage racks that go together in a similar fashion, I find this one very sturdy and I am enjoying being able to see and organize my clothing. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you.

Gifts & Decor Nantucket Home White Bathroom Wall Shelf Towel Holder

This is a nice looking shelf, and the material, while not solid wood, seems to be a pressed wood with a plastic coating that should be durable. It was fairly easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the dimensions were not given in the item information, and it turned out to be bigger than I really wanted. I'll live with it, but it overwhelms my small bathroom. FYI, the measurements are 24 x 20 x 7 1/2.

I purchased this shelf to use in my daughter's bedroom because the louvred design matches her headboard/footboard.

What I liked:

Assembly instructions were clear. Everything you'll need is clearly marked.

The wall hanging kit is clever. It's not meant to be a floating unit so it's got 2 flat mounting brackets that screw into pre-drilled holes on the back of the unit. Each bracket has 3 screws to attach it to the back of the shelf.

It was easy to install.

It's really a nice-looking and nice-sized shelf. It doesn't look like it should be relegated to only a bathroom wall.

What I didn't like:

The unit was missing one screw. I was able to replace it with a comparable screw from my own toolbox.

The melamine coating cracked and flaked off in a few spots during assembly. For the most part, however, those imperfections are not noticeable.

The shelf backing is simply 2 white cardboard sheets. Pretty cheap, but again, this shelf is in a bedroom so I'm not concerned about moisture deteriorating the cardboard.

One of the pre-drilled holes was a little bit off, so on one of the mounting brackets, I could only use 2 screws, or else risk compromising the integrity of the pressboard composition.

All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase

It's a very nice looking cabinet, and relatively easy to put together (good instruction pamphlet and pieces are well marked). However, as one would expect for the price, it is NOT made of wood, and the materials are pretty crappy. Would love to have this exact same cabinet made of real wood.

This is a great item for the price. As other reviews mentioned it is not made out of real wood but some sort of plywood with white vinyl sheeting. That being said, it looks awesome and is feels very solid. The only slight complaint I have with it is that it requires two metal brackets to be attached to it to install on the wall. These brackets come with the shelf but take away from the overall look when it is installed. Again, this is not a huge deal but just wish they had designed it so that these brackets were not visible.

Pros: pleasant style, nice size, functional storage, easy to assemble, good price point

Cons: thin veneer that chips easily when installing screws, missing one of the backing panels in my shipment (not critical to structure and I don't mind seeing my wall color through the back), dowel for hanging towels barely long enough to stay between pre-drilled holes (use wood glue), mounting hardware inadequate for weight (plan to have larger on hand).

Fine for an inexpensive piece. Just handle with care when putting together and plan ahead for extra securing to wall.

Jessica King Bed by Coaster Furniture

This bed is an amazing value, looks stunning and the headboard is very practical.

Pros:

-------------------

+ 100% solid wood, there are no particle board parts.

+ The finish is beautiful and seems durable.

+ The lights in the headboard are awesome, they go from very dim to bright enough to be used for reading and are controlled by a touch-switch on one side of the bed..

+ The storage compartments in the headboard are very useful. They are perfect for holding a glass of water, books, remotes or anything else you want to have quick access to while in bed.

+ Assembly is relatively easy and only took about 30 minutes. It does help to have two people but you could probably do it with one if needed.

+ The price of this bed including free shipping is incredible. This bed probably costs thousands in furniture stores.

+ Comes with slats and screws to secure them so the slats will not move or fall out the bottom like they do on some other beds.

+ Overall the construction quality of the bed seems to be very good.

+ Made in Malaysia, not China.

+ No smell or fumes at all.

Cons:

-------------------

It would have been nice to have a touch-switch for the lights on both sides of the bed.

The way the headboard is bolted on to it's "legs" doesn't seem to be very strong. It's bolted through two small blocks of wood which are glued onto the headboard and legs. One of these blocks came unglued from only light pressure while I was tightening the bolt. This was easy enough to fix and isn't really a major issue but I can see this is the weakest point of the beds construction and could use some improvement.

Two corners of the bed were slightly damaged during shipping. Not anything major, but a few small bits of the finish were broken off. The corners could have been packaged a little better to prevent this.

These are very minor cons and really this bed is amazing, especially for the price. I highly recommend this bed for anyone who wants an elegant solid wood bed.

I was very skeptical making such a large purchase online, but was very pleasantly surprised by the whole process!!! The quality of the product is awesome....not only does it look great, but it's sturdy and overall, just really well made. It's a little bit of a pain to assemble because the directions are not that great, so, you really have to pay attention to the detail in the pictures. Other than that I had such a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market.

Was not sure if it was a good decision to buy online or not. Took risk and it came out very well. This bed is value for money and looks nice. Before buying i researched a lot if it requires box springs or not but could not find solid answer. I took risk and was ready to order box springs once i receive this one. I am using memory form mattress and bed does not require box spring and hence saves $200. it came quickly within 10 days. I would recommend this product and seller.

Very pleased with the quality and value of this bed. After a disaster with another bed from a different manufacturer, we ended up saving money and getting a much higher quality bed from Coaster. The bed looks great, it feels sturdy, it was relatively easy to put together and our cat loves the alcoves. We have not used the lights but like how the alcoves look.

Honey-Can-Do SHO-01600 Bamboo 2-Tier Shoe Shelf

I purchased the 2-Tier Shoe Shelf, and it is probably one of the best shoe shelves I have ever seen or used. After perusing the shoe shelves online and instore at the Container-Store; I went with this one for holding some shoes next to my front door.

Assembly was very simple, it's very sturdy, holds shoes well (6pairs), and is very attractive. For the amount I paid I would buy another if it ever got damaged, or if I get a bigger place with a walk-in I would buy the 3-Tier as well.

I'm impressed and very happy with this purchase.

Check before you assemble I looked at the shelves and they were cracked before I even put in the first screw.

Back it goes waiting for pickup and the replacement.

I noted that several people had the same issues does the importer/manufacturer read any reviews?

Update:

The second set of shelves arrived and these were not cracked. Assembly was easy and the shoe rack looks really nice.

Recommended but can the manufacturer/importer please put some quality control in place.

Looks nice, doesn't look "cheap" like other models and appears to be holding up well after a couple months or use. Holds about 6-8 pairs of shoes depending on how bulky the shoes are.

This sturdy shoe rack is just what I was looking for.

It easily holds 6 pairs of size 15 shoes/sneakers/boots.

Easy to put together, don't screw to tight it may crack.

Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

We just bought one of these and it showed up without the screws to put it together with. A call to the number listed on the box would ring and then go to a busy signal so it may be a bad number. I ended up using some screws that I had in my workshop. They aren't the right type of screw for the job but they work. Other than that, this shoe shelf looks nice and seems sturdy for what it is.
