Salamander Archetype Two Shelf Rack (Black)

I had always had a Salamander Archetype 5.0 in my main home theater unit for over a decade, but as my theater grew in components and scope, I needed to add additional rack housing to meet my growing needs and demands. This 2.0 shelf meets my requirements, not only in expansion, but also in aesthetics as well. Now, instead of having many components stacked on top of each other atop a 5.0 Archetype...I know have better uniformity and exclusivity for each of the components in my rack. Even the expanded look of the rack lends itself nicely not only in my theater...but my home as well. This is money well-spent and worth it!!!! Kennedy Home Collections Portable 48 Inch Closet Unit - in your choice of color

For ~$50, I'd say this is a decent purchase. It is compact, lightweight, and serves to do its purpose: store stuff. Quick installation, too.

Be that as it may, there are downsides: the piping is weak and can bend easily (so be careful while trying to get it snug with the T-fittings), the racks are equally weak and will not support more than a handful of pounds before noticeably bending. Also, since you cannot put that much weight on it, the closet tends to shift around while being accessed. I am not using carpet here, so I'm sure the traction will help.

The black cover has the consistency of a rough paper towel, and there are little strings at the bottom (to tie it down) that can tear easily.

Clothes are hung on a beam that has hooks on each end -this is to be used as a cross-section at the top-left of the structure. Might need to hammer the ends down, otherwise it can shift towards/away from you while handling clothes. The beam itself is the same piping, but it's short enough so that putting weight with hangers won't bend it too easily. I don't have winter coats, so you might need to reconsider if you have lots of heavy clothing.

Bottom line: If you're a dorm student or a low-wage earner doing the grind and don't have a closet in your living space, then I'd say this is an adequate product.

I don't have too much to say about this closet, but I just wanted to mention to those who had trouble with leaning, you really need to assemble it using a rubber mallet. It's almost impossible to get those bars in tight without one. If you don't have one & don't want to buy one, I wouldn't purchase this model. I've had mine for a month and have had no problems so far. It's pretty loaded up with clothes too. I would recommend to anyone who needs the extra space (& has a rubber mallet)

I ordered this item and received it 3 days ago. I am currently in Afghanistan and I needed something to organize my clothes. The wardrobe went together quite easily and took me no longer than 45 minutes to assemble it. Although I wouldn't store anything extremely heavy in it (i.e. my interceptor vest) it is working great for my clothes and other personal items. It doesn't take up too much room in my small area and all zippers are functioning so far.

It was extremely easy to assemble, and I've had it now for a few months. It is doing a good job. I modified it just a little bit by putting card on the wire racks, makes my clothes lay easier. I don't put anything really heavy in it as I'm afraid it won't stand up if I do. My only peeve is that it is starting to lean on the side where I hang my clothes, it kind of looks a little like it will fall, but it hasn't. Other than that it is ok.

As with most of the Seville Classics shelving, of this style, this unit is very strong and sturdy.

The one irritating quality issue (in this and the other shelving units of the same brand) is that the little clip on sleeves, that hold the shelving in place, tend to slip down, while the shelf is being settled on them. Once the shelf is in place, they do hold well.

I have started to put duct tape around the bottom edge of these clips, while assembling, and then removing it once the shelf has settled into place.

I do not have this issue with a competing (much more expensive) brand.

When considering the trade off between price and quality, I still prefer to buy this brand, for most of my shelving needs.

I have a rather small kitchen in an old house with little storage space. This big boy holds all of my kitchen gadgets and stock pots in an attractive way. I just bought another one for my rental apartment that has the same issue of no space. It is very sturdy. I don't know I have 500lbs on it, but it certainly seems capable of holding a ton of appliances. If I were Oprah--I'd put this on my give away show.

Wow what can I say... this unit is BIG and HEAVY. I bought it for home kitchen use but its too much of a monster for that. I'd say this is more industrial or for a commercial kitchen or business, maybe a garage too. No doubt this is one solid rack. Easily put together. I always liked Seville chrome products. This does not disappoint but for my needs a little TOO big. Great product though, so five stars it is.

I moved into a small apartment and needed something to hold all my pots and pans, plus, office supplies. This rack professional kitchen grade. It holds a ton of stuff. The only downside is it's a two-person assembly project. Assembly instructions are simple but the parts are heavy and the first shelf assembly step is awkward. I did it by myself but not without knocking myself in the head a few times with the poles! Other than that I love it.

This is a well made, sturdy shelving system. It does require some assembly, but is not difficult to put together. We use it in the garage and it can take the weight of very heavy boxes. I bought this for my wife's classroom as a replacement for an old wooden bookcase. This little chrome-plated wire shelf was exactly what she needed. It assembled easily with just a few tools; it has smooth-rolling casters; and it holds lots of heavy text books. All in all, this is a useful shelf at a very fair price.

I had been looking at similar InterMetro shelves at the local Container Store, but they didn't have the size and configuration that I wanted, and the price seemed a bit steep. So I returned to my trusty Amazon to search and found these that suited me to a T. In fact, I ordered two using one as a rolling cart in my kitchen, just by adding the sturdy casters that are in the package.

Assembly with these is a breeze, once you look carefully at the connectors to see which end goes up, and it took about 20 minutes to assemble 2 sets of shelves, and add one set of casters. Badger Basket Sleigh Changing Table

I have originally purchased this item for its sleek design and an affordable price. To start, assembling the unit was a frustrating experience for my husband, who is usually very handy, and this table seemed like it would be a piece of cake to put together, and it wasn't. Also, even though the base of this changing table is wood, the shelves including the top one where you'd lay the baby are extremely thin.

Overall, nice design, but very poor quality. There are much better options out there, for about $ extra, which would be well worth it. I am disappointed and would not recommend this changing table.

I bought this changing table a little weary of the other reviews about it being flimsy....afterall it is inexpensive. However, I thought it was an excellent purchase. For my first child, I had a Pottery Barn changing table almost identical to this one in white. And I can honestly say that the quality was the same. The actual table part where the baby goes is very sturdy and I felt comfortable testing my 30 pound three year old on it. It's a great changing table, it looks just as it is in the picture, and it did not look or feel as cheap as the price tag by any means. With regard to assembly, my father put it together in 20 minutes with no glitches. An Excellent Purchase!!!

I recently chose this table after having already purchased one in a natural color made by Delta(I changed my mind on the furniture color of the nursery.) This changing table was the perfect choice. I recieved it in a matter days and it arrived in perfect condition. My husband put it together in about 45 minutes. The color is a bit darker than the other pieces I have but I don't mind that at all.

It is very sturdy and stores a ton of stuff well within reach. I intend on using it as a side table when my daughter gets older, it is just that decorative and stylish. The sleigh design is what attracted me the most. I would recommend this table for its form and function. It was a great find!!

This product is a disaster and potentially very dangerous. The materials are cheap and several pieces were missing. Badger sent new pieces but when I assembled it, the tray bases were completely warped and the two pre-assembled end pieces fell apart. Spend a little more and buy something else. Your baby's safety isn't worth saving a few bucks.

My wife and I were looking to replace a fixed counter top along one wall of our kitchen. We also wanted an island that could be used when cooking for guests, but our kitchen is too small. This cabinet fits the bill. We removed the fixed counter top and this takes its place. When cooking large meals, it rolls closer to our food prep area and provides more counter space. When the meal is ready, it rolls into the dining room and becomes a serving cart. Some things that used to take up counter space are now stored inside the cart.

The instructions are good and easy to follow. I put the cart together in about an hour. However, I would recommend having someone to help, certain steps are hard to do with just two hands. I finished the cabinet with three coats of polyurethane.

I gave the cart 4 stars because one of the casters will fall out if you lift the end up. This is a minor detail, but it means it is not perfect.

This storage system is perfect for my kitchen window. I have a 'door size' window in my kitchen. This unit fits perfect, rolls out to clean floor under it. It holds my plants, and seedling starts. It has loads of usable space. The shelves are adjustable and it is strong. I expect it to last many years.

It was very easy to assemble and is attractive in my kitchen.

Am very pleased with these shelves. I was a little impatient putting them together and didn't read through all the instructions first so I had to redo the positioning of the shelf holders once or twice otherwise I feel these were well-packed, decent quality and easy to put together even for a 64 year old woman with arthritis in her hands. One dissapointment is that they tell you not to move the unit when the shelves are full and indeed the wheels don't want to roll under a load. Otherwise definitely recommended.

THIS IS A GREAT UNIT!

I bought it basically because I needed something with a small enough 'footprint' to fit in a very tight space, I needed it mobile, and I needed it strong. It manages all of that, and with style.

I use it to hold patient charts when the residents in our nursing home visit our doctors officeit's a small space, and I couldn't find a traditional 'chart rack' to fit, and hold enough charts. This shelf unit easily holds 12 or so charts on each shelf, and doesn't tip or get insteady... We are talking serious weight! It's fully mobile, even when loaded downthe doctors love that the unit can be rolled right next to their desk.

The only problem I have with this unitwhen putting it together, it's difficult to get the clamps (which the shelves rest on) completely even, and it can be tricky to get the shelves back off to readjust the clamps. On the plus side of that problem, the weight of the charts have ''settled'' the shelves pretty evenly.

Overall, a fantastic solution for a tight space at a very affordable price, and the mobility is a great asset.

The unit assembled easily and appears sturdy even when fully loaded. I had two of the super-cheap casters literally rip apart while moving the shelves for the first time with weight on them.

Suffering through Ikea on a Saturday with my wife this past week, I happened upon a set of 'Besta' wheels. A 2-pack was $10 so simple math yields that I upgraded all four wheels for $20. They are sturdy and attractive, and once you pop out the attachment screw that they ship with with a nail punch or similar, you can insert the properly sized threaded screw to mount to these shelves. I used a bit of Loctite as well. Shelves now wheel freely under full weight.

In case you've never had one of these before I figured I should describe in detail how the shelves get placed. The shelf legs are first screwed together (they are in pieces to allow for a shorter box). Then small plastic collars are placed on the legs. The collars have an extra rib on the inside that matches up with the small grooves visible on the legs. With this it allows for each shelf to be placed anywhere with a 1" resolution. The bottom shelf is a little tricky just because all 4 legs are loose, but after that assembly really is simple.

With that explanation out of the way, the assembly went well. Quality parts. Chose not to install the casters on the bottom but they were in the box and appeared to be of decent quality. Nice chrome finish, and the 5-shelf unit is nice and sturdy despite its height. I can imagine the shelves could easily take the 200lb load they are advertised to take in the description. I'd recommend this to others and will know where to buy more of these in the future if I need them.

This was one of the biggest mistakes I've made concerning the installation of my plasma tv on the wall. I only intended to use two of the three shelves and then I only had a DVD player and a HD satellite receiver. The shelves were more than adaquate to hold what I wanted to put on them, but the channel in the back was useless for my two items. I used a HDMI cable for one component and a composite video (5 wires) for the DVD player. The power cords for each wouldn't fit into the channel and the pin wasn't able to be placed at the top.

I wasted the money I spent on it and finally just screwed two of the shelf supports that came with it to studs in the wall and purchased wiremold surface mounted plastic raceways to cover the wires. I'm happy with my solution and it looks Good. If the channer were large enough then this system would be good.

The channel is only big enough for a power cord and speaker wires and nothing else.

A BIG Disappointment. Of course once you get it mounted, you can't return it because it's used so you're stuck. Good Luck

This Shelf system was very poorly designed and not very robust. The shelves are held up using only a friction method. The entire assemby is free to rotate and never stays straight since nothing locks it in. Two brackets are provided but the bottom bracket does not support ANY weight which makes it useless. The system "Design" is just not robust enough even though the materials are.

I had to add several features to make the system more robust and ensure that it is stable on the wall. Also, the channel is not even large enough to fit enough cables for a Cable receiver and DVD player. It's just not worth the money even though its cheaper.

The shelf looks nice, and I've not really had the problems described in some of the other reviews regarding the narrow cable channel. I used HDMI cables and it looks nice. The real problem with this shelf system is that the swivel feature is more of a design flaw than a positive attribute. The whole shelf hangs from the top bracket supported by a pin, so it can turn very easily, with just a touch. If you have kids or it's in a high traffic area I wouldn't really recommend it, because the corners of the shelf will constantly be banging against your wall. I would up eliminating the swivel feature by putting a few screws through the bar to provide resistance against the mount. Also, and this was really a problem of all the shelf systems, I wish the shelves themselves were a little bigger. Your components can crowd the shelf a little bit.

Looks great. Not so easy to install. But it really doesn't hide all of the wires if you have so many like I do. We have 3 components and it is alot of wires to fit through the tube and you still see the plugs into the wall.

I purchased the 2-Tier Shoe Shelf, and it is probably one of the best shoe shelves I have ever seen or used. After perusing the shoe shelves online and instore at the Container-Store; I went with this one for holding some shoes next to my front door.

Assembly was very simple, it's very sturdy, holds shoes well (6pairs), and is very attractive. For the amount I paid I would buy another if it ever got damaged, or if I get a bigger place with a walk-in I would buy the 3-Tier as well.

I'm impressed and very happy with this purchase.

Check before you assemble I looked at the shelves and they were cracked before I even put in the first screw.

Back it goes waiting for pickup and the replacement.

The second set of shelves arrived and these were not cracked. Assembly was easy and the shoe rack looks really nice.

Recommended but can the manufacturer/importer please put some quality control in place.

This sturdy shoe rack is just what I was looking for.

It easily holds 6 pairs of size 15 shoes/sneakers/boots.

Easy to put together, don't screw to tight it may crack.

Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

We just bought one of these and it showed up without the screws to put it together with. A call to the number listed on the box would ring and then go to a busy signal so it may be a bad number. I ended up using some screws that I had in my workshop. They aren't the right type of screw for the job but they work. Other than that, this shoe shelf looks nice and seems sturdy for what it is.

Wine Cabinet with Drawer and Glass Rack

I bought this for a friend of mine and I might buy one for myself in the near future. Solid piece of furniture which looks like it will withstand some abuse. Assembly was fairly straightforward but I did have some issues with it (pieces not fitting together exactly and I had to contact the manufacturer because I had a duplicate piece). Great customer service from Winsome. All in all, I cannot explain how much nicer the wine cabinet is in person compared to the pictures.

I spent about 3 months trying to find the right wine rack for what I wanted. This rack encompassed everything I wanted. A drawer, more than 12 slots for wine, more than 12 slots for glasses. I was leery about buying this thought because it was about $200 cheaper than similar models. I was very impressed when I got it. The main parts are surprisingly heavy duty. It was very easy to put together. The color and look are beautiful and look like I spent a lot more money. I have gotten a lot of compliments. My only complaint is the drawer does not have stoppers on it so just be careful pulling it out because you might pull the entire drawer out.

Received the cabinet yesterday. Dropped everything and put it together. Had to repair small piece damaged in shipping, but it turned out nice. I had read the reviews on this cabinet so I added some glue to the pins during construction. After sitting all night the cabinet sits firmly and looks great. I just bought both the large (3 shelf) as well as this one. They just look grand in my living room. They are very easy to assemble and require no tools other than the small wrench which is included. Of course, now I have to rearrange my living room. Both items add a lot of class to my space and I am very glad that I bought both items. OK, so I admit that I probably should've read the fine print more clearly, but this DOES NOT come with the baskets as pictured. I am PO'd! This item is available through other vendors on amazon and they all sell it WITH the baskets so it is very confusing. There is another vendor selling the shelf and baskets for $75.
