I love these containers and Tupperware discontinued them due to the really tight seal. They take getting use to. Let me say first that I would have happily paid more for a nicer product, but I couldn't find one of sufficient narrowness for the spot between the TV and the corner. This product is flawed but it works. First, it's a little bit unstable, but it does come with tools to screw it into the wall behind it if you want. Second, it's not that easy to put together. Plastic, unrivited plastic "feet" securing bolts get screwed on with a custom tool they included if they'd made these small parts of metal it would have added maybe 20 cents to the cost to the manufacturer, and made set up much easier and stronger. 2nd, while it looks like the sides are 1 piece, they are actually 2 pieces, screwed together. This is done to reduce shipping cost due to the size, but it also makes the product less stable, and the screws and bolts that hold the 2 pieces together are both quite small, and you need the shortest screwdriver in the world to fit over the screw, cause there's a bar just 3 inches above it and you can't get a good screwdriver twist when you have to come in at an angle. The bolts are also small and hard to grip with pliers, so I tightened mine by hand as best I could.

The shelves also are not as "gripping" as they should be for this kind of snap together in place design and they shelf floors are prone to things falling through them cause there's too much open space for a "floor"

It sounds like I'm trashing this product, but based on the price, I think they're making no claims that this is quality. What it is, is functional and to me, it's worth the money cause I finally have a rack that holds all my DVDs, in a fairly attractive way in a small space next to the TV. It works for me cause it's just the right size, but I think the people who call this a "piece of junk" have a point too. I wouldn't give this as a present to somebody unless I disliked them. ;-)

3.5 stars for the product because it basically works and because I'm happy to have it. 1.5 stars for the manufacturer sometimes spending a bit more money on better, more sturdy and easier to set up design is the way to go. Dirt Cheapest possible isn't always best.

I bought this after looking at a lot of other dvd/media racks on Amazon.

This one was chosen for a combination of price (not crazy expensive) and minimal footprint (it is for a bedroom). It fit the bill in both ways.

Set up was fairly easy. My boyfriend thankfully spared me of this but he said he had it put together fairly quickly and did not find anything confusing about the instructions.

Overall we are very satisfied with this product. I would, from a design standpoint, have liked to have something more robust, like a wooden media cabinet, but our space constrictions prohibit that. This rack takes up a very small amount of floor space, which is very important for us as we live with roommates, so our bedroom space needs to be maximized.

***UPDATE*** It has been 3 months since I bought this and it still holding up just fine! DVDs are taken & put back from it on a daily basis and it is showing no signs of wear. Still very pleased!

Construction is flimsy and the towers have to be anchored to the wall to stabilize them. CD's and BluRay's fit fine, but regular DVD's have to be stored horizontally, however you can remove every other shelf to add vertical height, which cuts down on the amount of storage space. These are not what I expected and will go into my next yard sale.

The media folding rack holds less DVDS then I expected. I had to go out and buy a second media tower to fit the rest of my dvds. I would not recommend this to my friends especially if they have a large collection.

From the pictures, they look like they're plastic. But after reading some reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they're made out of metal! Don't even think about using plastic ones. They WILL most likely break eventually.

Also, as another reviewer noted, screw these into the studs behind the drywall if possible. You can use the included screws because they are really long (1-1/2 inches) but don't use the anchors in drywall (the plastic gray pieces) unless you have no other choice. Buy a cheap stud finder to find the studs.

They really need to advertise these as being made of metal.

Small CON. They should put the screws in a separate plastic bag so that they don't mark up all the brackets.

My old Closetmaid U-clips were plastic and many have broken over the years. These metal ones should last. Personally, I recommend not using the drywall anchors that are supplied, but drilling into studs wherever possible. It will be worth it in the long run. The shelves LOOK so sturdy, and they are -so it is tempting to keep piling the weight on. What will fail ultimately are the anchors. I did not install our original shelves, they came with the house, and 4 of ours have failed.

These clips are NOT plastic. They are the metal ones! Excellent for those wire shelves. I have bought 3 sets now and am greatly impressed. Only complaint is that the screws are thrown in with the clips which tends to take the paint off.

these are little brackets that fit 1/4" rode and hold it to the wall. LOTS of them were chipped paint, but where they are used it didn't matter to us. Comes with screws and anchors. For the price (about $5) it did the job.

This is exactly what we were looking for. We have some tiny bathrooms and tiny sinks and really needed some very compact storage that worked with these small spaces. This fit our needs perfectly and with style. We definitely recommend, but only for very small spaces otherwise, it will look silly in a larger space.

Madison Avenue Floor Cabinet with 1 Door & 1 Drawer

This is a great small bath cabinet. We have an old victorian home with small simple baths and this little cabinet is great for such situations. I am very plesaed with the super-fast delivery (I selected the free delivery option and received both orders in less than a week) and the quality of the materials is quite good for the price. Assembly is relatively simple and the parts fit together very well. So if you like the cabinet you see in the picture, I believe you will be very pleased with what you receive.

I am disappointed with this cabinet and probably will not order items like this off the internet again. I've had great success ordering through Amazon so I was surprised.

Positives: Nice looking, good storage. Fulfulls it's purpose. Return was handle promptly and efficiently by Amazon and UPS. Service people were helpful.

Negatives: The first cabinet had two back pieces for the drawer and was missing one side. The replacement cabinet parts did not fit together well and the particle board split when I put in the screws. One screw would not tighten. There was debris and paint in some holes so the peg-locking system would not work. There are gaps in the front and sides of the finished cabinet. I plan to put glue in those gaps to prevent further separation. I've bought (at stores) and assembled 3 cabinets with similar assembly systems and had no problems.

Returning furniture is inconvienent even if people are nice about it. It's difficult to repack and heavy.

The cabinet came as ordered within a short period of time and was clearly marked for assembly. My brother had no trouble putting it together and since the tips in other reviews mentioned "no don't tighten the screws until the last minute" we have a wonderful cabinet for our smaller guest bathroom. I love the style and the quality. It is surprisingly roomy for a cabinet. I love the adjustable shelf.

The cabinet is nice and goes together well. The problem is that it has this noxious chemical smell that will not go away. I put it together in a large room with the balcony door and windows open and I still became lightheaded while doing so. I left it outside on our balcony for a few hours and then moved it into the bathroom thinking that would get rid of the smell. The few hours outside didn't help, especially once it was in the smaller, less ventilated bathroom. I have two young kids and don't want to expose them to anything (not to mention my husband and I don't want to smell this nasty, probably toxic odor) so the cabinet has been sitting on my balcony for almost a month. The smell is just not going away.

The lock mechanism on the door wasn't aligned properly, so I had to do some adjusting in the assembly to get it to line up. The legs were also not leveled evenly, so it rocks back and forth a bit, like one of those annoying school assembly chairs that you got stuck with.
