We purchased two of these spice racks for our pantry. We needed two since these racks are a little on the small side (although a lot of the racks we looked at were smaller still) and I have a lot of spices. We've been pleased. The three smaller shelves are a perfect fit for the standard spice jars from the grocery store and the fourth will fit larger items such as salt.

The only negative for the product is installation. The rack comes with four small screws and four mounting brackets. The screws were too short to give a nice, solid mounting; we used our own and the racks are there to stay.

Walker Edison 44 Inch Wood Corner TV Console

After lengthy online search I decided NOT to purchase this Walker Edison 44" Castillo Brown Corner TV Console. It took me forever, but I finally found the shelf dimensions, which are not listed on Amazon.

Overall Dimensions: 44"W x 16"D x 24"H

Shelf Dimensions: 39" W x 12" D x 8" H

I read somewhere else that the cabinet usable depth (inside) is 12.75 inches. That's quite a bit smaller than the overall 16'' depth. Many home theater receivers are deeper than 12.75''. My Denon AVR1910 has a 14.75'' depth (as do others receivers like the similarly priced Onkyo).

Wow! I dodged a bullet. I'm glad I didn't order this, and put it together only to discover my components would not fit. I guess I could leave the doors off or try to open the back, but not sure that would work.

I'm just putting the usable depth info here because it took me a while to find.

Good luck. I still cannot find a corner cabinet with doors that will fit into my small corner space between window and fireplace. This unit appeared to be just right.

Thank you, Bob "Bob" for putting those dimensions up. It is rather shallow, so take that into consideration before buying. Unfortunately I didn't, only to find that my DVR player did not fit inside with the doors closed! Well, without cables I could close the doors, but with the cables plugged into the back, I needed a good 1/2 inch more. That sucked. Luckily I'm a little handy and drilled individual holes for each cable. An ordinary spade bit did the trick, and rather nicely. Now the DVR fits, though it wasn't easy plugging everything into it!

Also, a note on assembly. Because you're dealing with wood composite material, be careful, especially with the wood dowels. One of them actually came through the side when I was attaching the shelf to the side of the cabinet. (Luckily, I have some scrap walnut in the garage, so I intend to cover that up with a decorative "button.") True, I was using possibly too much force, but this leads me to think some of the holes for the dowels may have been a bit too shallow. When possible, try a dry fit before gluing everything together. The instructions were OK, but obviously a few more warnings were in order. Live and learn.

I'm really happy with this product. It took only about an hour by myself to put together. Every piece was clearly marked and the instructions were correct. Even though it's not solid wood, it's well made materials and no cardboard back. All nice quality panels. Well thought out design. however be sure to check dimensions of your electronic equipment. I failed to check that so a few of my components wouldn't fit since it's a corner stand.

This is the most useless piece of junk I've ever had. Nothing fits in. The shelves are spaced too close for the bottles of laundry supplies or cleaners to fit anywhere but the top one. It's hard to roll, it wobbles and scratches anything it comes in contact with. Instead of Laundry room it sits in the garage and most likely will end up in the garbage truck soon.

This is a great idea, but its really flimsy. If you plan on putting laundry detergent on top [that's the only place it will fit] then you need to have heavier things on the bottom two shelves or it tips when you pull it out. Also, the hooks that connect the shelves fell off repeatedly. My husband had to zip-tie them on.

For the price, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but this is a very flimsy cart. I bought it to use as a rolling spice rack, and the cart can barely handle the spice jars. The one side of the cart has already broken, and I've had to tie it together. Plus, the wheels don't roll smoothly. The picture shows it as a laundry cart, but I honestly don't know how it would handle something as heavy as a detergent bottle. If that is your intended use, look for something made better.

I bought this a week back. It just took 5 min to assemble, with just a little help from my 4 yr son to hold the sides to fit the shelves!!! it looks good too. i have a 7 n 1/2 inch space between my kitchen cabinet and the fridge, so it fit perfectly there. I keep non perishable items, snacks which my son can pick anytime on that... must buy for people living in small apartments, like me!!!

I got 2 of these and love them. I put large German beer mugs on them and it fits perfect. It was hard to find ones that had a big enough platform to fit a 4-5 inch wide mug. But these are perfect.

These are beautiful. We ordered two for our focal wall. They are constructed very well and look so much better than the pictures above. Only one suggestion; the standard screws aren't very heavy duty. If you're drilling into studs, I suggest picking up your own. Even after adjusting my torque settings on my drill, I still managed to break off two. Buy your own ahead of time. Other than that, these are amazing!

3 Shelf Stackable Folding Bookcase - Walnut

I was very disappointed with this item, and it was the only product in many years of shopping at amazon that I had to return. I've bought more than 20 nearly identical bookcases from other sources, widely available on the web, made in Thailand. They require no assembly at all, just open and the shelves fall into place, and they are very sturdy. I ordered 6 of this slightly different product at a higher cost than average because I wanted them in a hurry, and amazon offered overnight shipping for something which usually takes two weeks to arrive. But this bookcase required two people more than an hour to assemble, none of the parts quite fit, and the one I did manage to assemble was wobbly, so I returned the other 5 (which took almost three weeks and many phone calls). It is a mystery that such a poorly designed product could survive the competition.

I was very pleased with my shelves. Easy to assemble, if you just follow the instructions. It may seem intuitive, but do yourself a favor and follow the instructions. They look great and are very sturdy. My only criticism is that the shelves are not walnut, but walnut veneer. My guess is that they are pine? If you read the product description in detail (I didn't) it does say "wood with walnut veneer." Muh. I still love them. (As a note, the system doesn't want me to add any tags to this product reviewd...that's Amazon for you!)

The Winsome Wood folding 3-tier bookcase used to be the best in its genre, and even beat the Apple Furniture version (now probably under some other manufacturer name: the type sold through Container Store). Now, this shelf is no longer crafted of beechwood. These used to be made of very beautifully articulated hardwood manufactured in Thailand and given excellent stains and laquer coats this was the case for over two decades. Now, they are produced in Vietnam of a light softwood without the tight grain, the stain job is amateur (sloppy) and there is no protective laquer coat. The underside of each shelf is no longer even sanded, and believe you me, this is obvious on the upper shelves if they are stacked two units high.

The overall result is something that looks okay only amongst furniture without a common "goal" or sense of arrangement, and then only so long as no weight is intended for the shelves. However, for those who are accustomed to the high expectations this company has created in the past decades, only disappointment will be had by units produced after 2010. My recent units were returned immediately.

These bookcases are v. functional. They can stand side by side or can be stacked. there is a metal piece that you screw onto the back to hold them together.

I have had 2 sets of these book cases and I can really recommend them. I use them stacked.

While it says that these shelfs are stackable they are NOT! There are no provisions on the upper side of the shelf to stack another them on top of it, in fact, its rounded up there so its impossible (unless serious self-assembling takes place). Assembling the shelf itself is also not done, you have to do it yourself and it is cumbersome, took me ca. 45 to 60 minutes. You get what you pay for. Once assembled though it is a well functioning shelf, nothing wrong with that.

Fit of doors is hit-or-miss, not always 'square' in the openings, you can mitigate this some by lifting on one side or the other (the unit will flex slightly)

The dowels that support the shelves in the cabinets are not level with each other, as a result one shelf is not stable and will "rock" slightly. For me this is only one one side, and only in one of the 3 possible height positions (the middle one which is really where I want the shelf).

UPDATE: I called SEI's customer support line regarding the damaged top piece I received. I was able to speak to a human without too much automation, and she arranged for a new top piece to be shipped to me no questions asked and no charge. I received it and the replacement piece was in perfect shape. So, I'll upgrade my rating to 4 stars due to the good customer service.

Product was exactly as described. Strong, sturdy and great quality. Product arrived on time and easy to assemble.

This product met all my expectations. It is attractive, easy to assemble, and--for the price--has more hardwood than most. It is quite thin, meaning it is not obtrusive if the look you want is "decorator" other than "techie". The best thing is that it is the right viewing height, as opposed to some stands from "real furniture" companies that may be anywhere from four to six inches higher. Buyers should be aware that the "antique white" is more toward the yellow side. It is pretty much the actual color shown in the photo. I would have given this product a five star rating except for one small oddity on my particular stand: the decorative apron beneath the front edge actually touches the floor. It would look better if it were a bit shorter.

simplehuman Cabinet Organizer

I really liked the large drawer so I ordered some of the smaller drawers because they have dividers and I thought they would help keep smaller items organized. Unfortunately, the smaller drawers do not fully extend when pulled out, they only slide out about half way. This means that the items in the back half of the drawer are still inside the cabinet and right underneath the shelf above making it hard to see those items and hard to get them out of the cabinet without having to move the front items out of the way, defeats the purpose of having a slide out drawer!

Too bad because otherwise these are well-made, easy to install and very functional.

The 20" draw was distorted out of its "square" shape when I got it. Nothing that I couldn't twist back into shape, but it did give me doubts as to it's sturdiness. The wire could be as thick as the Lynk Pro draws and solve this issue. The tray is great because it helps the draw hold its shape and it's easily removable and washable or wipe able after spills. In the future I would get these for the cabinets that hold bottles and spill-ables but not for anything heavy like a mixer or tableware/dishes.

Also, the 9" draw does not pull out as far as the 20" or 14" ones. Don't know whether that's a design issue or whether the one I got was defective in some way.

So few pullout organizers have a liner to keep items from slipping through the bottom. Nice to know I didn't have to cobjob a couple of things together to get what was needed. Very sturdy, too, a bonus!

We got the medium size (14"x20"). It works fine. I like the ball-bearing slides. However, there are three things to note:

1: If you are attaching this to anything other than the bottom shelf, then you'll need to provide vertical stops (I just used a screw on either side of the cabinet, touching the shelf) on top of the shelf to prevent it from tipping when the rack is pulled all the way out.

2: Don't load this with cans. When I did and extended the shelf fully, the slides began to bow under the weight. They didn't permanently bend, but it is obvious, this thing is 'light duty'.

3: You actually lose shelf space by using this, since you have to account for the facing of the cabinets and how it protrudes into the shelf area (about an inch or so on either side). That becomes effectively un-useable once this is installed.

All that being said, this is a nice product that does what it says.

I got this when I was cleaning out my pantry and realized I didn't want to have to crawl along the floor to pull things like my wok out from the back of the bottom shelf. I did a lot of looking, and was surprised that there was nothing under the $60 dollar mark for a simple 20 inch pull out shelf. I never searched before though, so that basically just shows my naivete. This looked like the best option for under $100 relatively decent wire rack, the right size, and the bonus of the liner.

I've uploaded pics so you can see just where the screws mount in it. Installation couldn't have been simpler. I got it set so the front was as far forward as I could put it without interfering with the cabinet doors when they closed, centered and squared inside by eye, very simple with just under half an inch free on each side. I marked the spots where the two front screws went, drilled pilot holes to simplify things, and then screwed in the screws. Once that was secured, I was able to pull it out some and drill the pilot holes and screw in the back. The longest part was getting out the cordless drill and screwdriver and putting them away again. Lining it up, drilling, and securing with the screws took about 90 seconds. I put the liner back in, and I was done.

It would only pull out about half way though which I assumed was the limit, since others have complained about the smaller units not pulling out far. But then I checked underneath and the lip I have on the bottom of the pantry area is high enough to interfere with one of the tracks, so it wouldn't fully extend. I can lift slightly and get it over, but I'm going to pull it out again and put some spacers under the front to help elevate that slightly to overcome the issue.

The tracks are really done well they're smooth, not loose and cheap, there's enough friction that it stops as soon as you let go, there's no free sliding at all. Moves easily even with my large wok and other things on it.

Having done a lot of searching at various stores here as well as online, I found nothing that comes anywhere near to this quality and function at this price point. Definitely worth every penny.

Winsome Julia Utility Cart

Love the concept of this cart. Offers extra storage space and fits perfectly next to our stove. So far it seems sturdy and the granite top is beautiful. The tray is great for carrying things to and from the dining table. We keep cookbooks on the bottom shelf and bread in the metal basket. My only complaint is that the tray arrived with several very noticeable chips in it. Also, the drawer is very shallow so it somewhat limits what it can store. We were able to fit coffee and boxes of tea in it. I also think it's a little pricey for the level of quality; however, overall a good buy and we'll get a lot of use out of it.

I just finished putting this together today.

Packaging: It kept everything protected, but the styrofoam just makes a huge mess when taking everything out of the box.

Finish: It's black. It was mostly good, a couple minor knicks on the wood, but the stone was perfect.

Assembly: The main bolts are probably the biggest pain. Assembly was not fun. I'm pretty good at putting things together and I got a bit frustrated with this. The metal inserts that the bolts screw into slip out too easily, so you pretty much need two people to get this put together. The little wood pieces that go over the bolt heads have terrible fit. Some fall in the hole, others stick out nicely (I assume they were meant to stick out a little). The bottom shelf is probably the hardest thing to line up and get bolted in. It took me over an hour to put it together.

Quality: Pretty decent. I like the stone. It's also not that terrible heavy. The middle back cross member had a chunk taken out of the wood that they just stained over. The bottom of the drawer is very thin. You can probably put a decent amount in that shelf, but I sure wouldn't load it too heavy or with a ton of flatware, or it will snap. The wire basket is good and the grooves it fits into are thick, so you can probably load that up a bit. I like the removable serving tray. The very bottom shelf is thicker than the drawer shelf, but it's not all that thick either. I wouldn't load it a ton, but probably a bit pot would be ok, just maybe not a cast iron skillet. I think the wheels are very nice though. Good heavy rubber and metal. So, overall it's passable quality and what you'd expect in the $100 range.

Overall it will do the job. I just can't put whatever I want on it. I need to plan a bit. We have a small apartment kitchen, so this gave us some needed counter space and fits perfectly into our area. I may add some thoughts on utility after I fill it up with a few things in a couple days.

This product on it's own is a good but not excellent product. On it's own it has a great appearance with shelves and drawers great for a number of uses(Utensils, bread, serving tray, etc.), but the actual stone top is too much weight for the stand to handle. Add an appliance(small microwave) or using it for a cutting surface is really not practical as it is not sturdy enough to support either. I kept it as it fits perfectly into a limited space, but it is flawed as mentioned.

First time I received it the top granite shelf was broken in half. Had to send it back. They sent me another one. my son assembled it and I had it in my kitchen.

It looked nice but quality was not good. That is why it was on sale.

However after 3 weeks of use I was moving it and all of a sudden one of the wheels came off. I looked and noticed that the wooden leg which was supporting the wheel is broken in half vertically.

I am so so disappointed at the manufacturer. I guess these people have no idea how hard it is for some of us to pay and buy something like this. They just want to make money no matter what.

Really nice looking cart. We're using it in our downstairs kitchen which is on the small side so the size is perfect. The top is faux granite giving it a nice look. The cart is sturdy and it has rolling wheels which lock if necessary. We haven't used the removable tray yet but the drawer and wire rack come in very handy and store alot. From the pictures, they look like they're plastic. But after reading some reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they're made out of metal! Don't even think about using plastic ones. They WILL most likely break eventually.

Also, as another reviewer noted, screw these into the studs behind the drywall if possible. You can use the included screws because they are really long (1-1/2 inches) but don't use the anchors in drywall (the plastic gray pieces) unless you have no other choice. Buy a cheap stud finder to find the studs.

Small CON. They should put the screws in a separate plastic bag so that they don't mark up all the brackets.

My old Closetmaid U-clips were plastic and many have broken over the years. These metal ones should last. Personally, I recommend not using the drywall anchors that are supplied, but drilling into studs wherever possible. It will be worth it in the long run. The shelves LOOK so sturdy, and they are -so it is tempting to keep piling the weight on. What will fail ultimately are the anchors. I did not install our original shelves, they came with the house, and 4 of ours have failed.

These clips are NOT plastic. They are the metal ones! Excellent for those wire shelves. I have bought 3 sets now and am greatly impressed. Only complaint is that the screws are thrown in with the clips which tends to take the paint off.

these are little brackets that fit 1/4" rode and hold it to the wall. LOTS of them were chipped paint, but where they are used it didn't matter to us. Comes with screws and anchors. For the price (about $5) it did the job.

Plate Rack with Shelf

This item has multiple uses. It can also be used to store lids and cookie sheets because it is quite large. My 12" plates have around 4" of space still above them. I use the top of it to display cookbooks, etc. It is a very nice product.

I injured my shoulder and wanted a counter or wall dish rack for my heavy dinner plates to avoid lifting. My oversize dinner plates fit perfectly and stay dust free (and cat hair, suprisingly) on the counter below my cabinets. I have a small, old kitchen and the size works really well, this tucks right under the cabinet and almost looks like a built-in. The wood is heavy and the wood-grain shows through nicely in the clear finish. I now have some inner cabinet space to hide the accumulated utensils and such from the freed space. This is nice looking, practical and sure beats lifting heavy, oversized dinner plates. A definite win-win on this purchase.

I spent a total of 4 months looking for wall mantel shelf between 27 and 29 inches long. When this one finally appeared on Amazon, I was beside myself. It wasn't hardwood, but the specifications were promising. The price at which it was offered, was icing on the cake. The previously stated facts, are why I didn't rate this product a TWO. Here are some of the disappointments and therefore a rating of 3:

1)Package was beautifully wrapped. However, the edges of of the shelf were somewhat delicate. I actually damaged both short edges (slight cracking), trying to pull the wrap off.

2)This is a double layer shelf. The underbottom layer on one side of the shelf was pulling apart. There appeared to be no glue on one end of the shelf. However the opposite end was well connected and sealed.

Considering length of time to find the desired type shelf and I am somewhat of of DIYer, I decided to finish the glue job and paint the shelf to cover the cracking finish of the edges. It looks pretty darn good... now.

Pros:

1)The hanging process is exactly as stated and quite easy.

2)The shelf feels and displays as very sturdy and elegant.

3)Extremely strong against wall. Tight fit.

I would purchase this again, only considering my skill set, patience, and desire of specfications of product. However if you don't have time for extended DIY or other surprises, consider wisely.
