best racks I have seen. nice silver finish. they can be set up by one person in less than 2 minutes and a very solid and stable. try to buy direct from the amazon store and get the free shipping . the other stores claim they have them for less and and then don't.

I initially ordered 3 of these, thinking I would order more if need be. I knew the measurements, but it turns out these are huge when you see them in person. I had ordered them to straighten up the garage, which was full mostly of boxes.

These shelves go together super easy, although it is a good idea to have someone help you, simply given the size of them. No tools are necessary, apart from perhaps a rubber mallet to knock the pieces all the way together. Once the main structure is complete, there is a piece of MDF that lays across to form the actual shelf. Should that ever get wet & fail, it's a simple task to actually replace it with plywood for the same purpose)

Once the shelves are together you realize how sturdy they are. I should mention that if you get 2, you can actually connect them in the middle, so you can save a little space if need be, but still have all the shelving space you needed.

I have absolutely loaded up these shelves without so much as a creak from them. These are heavy duty shelves that can take a beating and keep working fine.

My order was from amazon, but it looks like it's 3rd party sellers selling them now. A word of caution if you do order them from amazon, it will be shipped via a freight carrier (CEVA logistics in my case) but they were super helpful in every aspect. they called to arrange the delivery, and the driver actually helped me move the boxes into the garage.

If you're needing some super strong LARGE shelves, these should absolutely fit the bill. As I said in my review for the smaller shelves, yes. They are pricey. But quality costs, and these are shelves that will last a lifetime.

This product is well engineered and very sturdy. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack and assemble my shelving unit, most of which I spent counting the rings on the legs to make sure my shelves were level (it would be nice if the rings were numbered). The legs have leveling feet at the bottom, so leveling the shelf on uneven flooring is a snap. I would highly recommend this unit to someone looking for a professional looking, heavy duty shelf.

Plastic shelves are just not the same as these metal shelves, and this shelf is adjustable so it can be installed and leveled. Snap on a couple of supports and slide the next shelf down to install it. It took all of about 5 minutes to put it all together.

These are great for many storage needs. Very strong and sturdy, easy to put together and take apart again if you move. I'm not sure what that one reviewer's problem was with assembly instructions, or lack thereof. It's pretty straight-forward: put the plastic shims on at the level you want the shelf, then put the shelf on. By looking at the shims, you can see which way they are beveled, and thus, which way they go on. You can figure it out. I believe in you.

Includes screw-on feet that allow you to adjust the height of each leg independently so that it's perfectly level, even on an uneven floor.

I think the black looks a lot nicer than chrome. It looks good enough that as someone on a tight budget, I don't mind using them in a bedroom or kitchen, whereas the chrome I would only want in a garage. But that's just a matter of taste.

Bought this a year ago, just got around to mounting it. At least at that time, the mounting instructions and template are nearly a quarter inch off from where the mounting holes are drilled in the shelf. We did get it up after a little struggle, and it's a pretty shelf. It's heavy and does want to be mounted securely, however.

This shelf is solid. The glass is a good thickness, and conveys quality. The metal has a nice brushed look. The top caps that secure the shelf do not consume too much real estate. I can see how someone who didn't know what they were doing would struggle with the install. The template wasn't all that useful. I basically assembled the shelf and held it up to the wall. I marked a small dot at the base of each circle. Before marking, I used a level to confirm that each side was the proper height. I then used the distance between the two circles (listed on the template) to confirm the manual markings. I cut out the circle section of the template and used that to identify the two drill holes, lining up my small dot to the bottom of the circle template.

The glass gets a little loose after a few weeks and may need tightening every now and tehn.

First of all, this is your typical fiberboard product with a flimsy cardboard backing. That said, I am very happy with this purchase. The visible areas of the tower are finished nicely and do not look cheap. I have over 600 movies and they fit just fine with a little room to spare for odd shaped media. The directions are okay but could use some more detail. Assembly took about two hours but I was going slow and took a couple beer breaks. The worst part of this assembly was trying to attach the backing without punching a nail through the finish...I failed. They supply a cover-up marker for damage to the finish so the end result looked pretty good in spite of my wayward hammer. I just needed a place to store my dvd`s. This tower fits great in my basement since it only sticks out about nine inches from the wall.

As noted in other reviews, this unit is made of particle board, but I have to say that the pieces are well-machined and the material seems denser than what I've seen in other furniture of this sort. There was no damage in the shipment, perhaps because the unit was shipped in two packages: one for the main, larger pieces, and a smaller package containing the actual shelves. All of the assembly hardware was included, although the various pieces were in the same bag. (the ample supply of shelf pegs were bagged separately, at least, so it wasn't a big deal to sort them out). Assembly took a couple of hours and was pretty straightforward, but make sure you keep an eye on the instructions. I have the unit situated in my basement where the concrete floor slopes up slightly within the last couple inches before the wall, so to keep the unit from leaning outwards, I added a rail underneath the front of the base. This put most of the weight against the wall, and it's rock-solid.

As for the reason it was purchased in the first place (STORAGE!), it's awesome; it's really great to have all my CDs and DVDs in one place instead of stacked on various shelves or in boxes. The peg holes are configured to allow all sorts of arrangements, whether you're storing CDs, DVDs, or paperback books.

There just aren't enough inexpensive options for storing up to 1,000 DVDs. Most get throttled for being cheaply made or not sturdy enough.

I'm happy to say that for what this is, it's a really great value. It's not a custom made piece of furniture, nor is it going to withstand a hurricane, but it's a great option for inexpensive storage. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were comprehensive. I assembled it myself, but I've also had a reasonable amount of experience assembling IKEA furniture lately. Most people are probably going to want a 2nd set of hands to help avoid making mistakes.

The only part of this rack I'd criticize is the back. As usual, you're getting the bi-fold cardboard. The biggest problem is it doesn't fit edge to edge, so you're screwing around trying to maximize the contact with the backing while not penetrating the interior finish. I'm not sure how much harder it would have been to make the stupid pieces an extra 1/2 inch tall and wide, but if you're listening Prepac, please consider doing so. Along this line, if there was a more rigid material that could provide more structural integrity than cardboard without substantially affecting the price, you might want to consider making that move. Paper is paper. It tears, swells, warps, etc.

5* for what it is; 2* for the pain in the fanny installing the backing.

First of all. It was shipped very fast to me. I really liked that. When i got it, there was a lot of pieces to put together, I thought it would take me forever to get it all done. But I got it put together in about 2 hours with a few breaks in between. They said that it can Hold over 700 dvds. I believe it's true. I have over 500 so i'm not sure about the 700 but i have a a lot more open room left. I have the black one. It looks nice! Its also very strong. I have a two year old that likes to climb and it can hold him, he's about 27 pounds, so i really love that it can stand up to that! I'm 5'1 and the dvd stand is taller then me. and it takes up half my wall but it's not that wide so it doesn't take up Over all I love it.

We ordered and received our dvd shelf and was completely shocked when we discovered it to be particle board and cardboard. The original price for this p.o.s. was somewhere around 900 dollars, before it went on some kind of so called sale for around 250 dollars. With that being said we never even thought twice that this shelf was going to be something other than real wood. My opinion is that this shelf should have been priced around 120 to 160 dollars. We also came to find out that it doesn't even hold 702 dvd's as claimed. If someone is looking for a good dvd shelf I would suggest that you search a little harder before buying this p.o.s. that won't even survive a move. The large size (24") is great for under cabinets, the smaller size (12") does great duty on shelving. Keeps moisture off the shelves so I don't have to worry about getting every spec of water off of dishes when I put them away. Excellent for lining open wire shelving in places where spills can occur (pantry, laundry room). Easy to cut, lays flat, heavy enough to handle anything.

The quality of this shelf liner is great. I have no problems whatsoever with the product itself. I purchased this to line wire shelves in my pantry and it is exactly what I was looking for. All the cans now sit perfectly level and they stack beautifully now and most importantly, the liners are almost invisible.

My complaint is that the product is listed incorrectly. It is listed as a 12" x 25' roll, but when I received it, the roll is a 12" x 20' roll. The reason I purchased this on Amazon was because it was a bigger roll than I could buy at the big box retailers by me for the same price.

I am a long time Amazon customer and used to swear by them, but I have noticed their prices have been increasing and they lack good informational reviews on the site (which was not always the case, they used to be awesome). The only way shopping online works is if you can trust the retailer selling the product and the quality of their product descriptions. I find myself shopping at my local retailers more and more. It was good while it lasted Amazon . . . .

I bought this at a big-box housewares chain in 2005 when we moved into a 1935 Sears kit house. The kitchen has a built-in glass-fronted china cupboard that's about 4 feet wide, and I lined all the shelves with LifeLiner, using one straight run across each shelf. I put it down with the ridges up -as shown in the to the photo on the box. Since the roll comes with the ridges out, that means the bend in the material gets flattened by the weight of the dishes, and there are no corners sticking up anywhere.

I've tried Contact Paper, plain paper, flat shelf liner paper with a light tack, and that slightly foamy stuff that looks like waffles. All of them have issues of one sort or another that LifeLiner just doesn't have.

It's easy to wipe down; just wipe with the ridges, not against them. It hasn't curled or warped. It hasn't cracked or turned yellow. It doesn't rip when you slide things over it. It doesn't stick to the dishes or get gooey and stuck on the shelf. The ridges allow airflow under glassware and dishes so that things don't trap moisture if you happen to put them away damp. The ridges are very strong: even a stack of eight 10" FiestaWare plates in the same spot for 7 years hasn't dented the ridges at all. It protects the dishes from chipping or making noise when you set them down on the shelf. It also doesn't slide around on the shelves, though there's always china or glass on some part of it to weigh it down.

I also use this to line boxes in which I keep packages of beads, small plastic craft bags of buttons, and other craft items, and the ridges keep the bags in order. The LifeLiner flattens out even with that little bit of weight on them, and doesn't slide around.

It is a stiff material, and the ridges can make scissors slip, especially if you use "junk drawer" scissor. I found the best way to cut it when I was cutting lots of it was on a cutting mat with a utility knife and a ruler to cut against. (I sew and craft, so I always "measure twice and cut once" and square up my corners, etc.) However, I've also just marked it with a ruler and pen on the flat side to get a line to follow, and a decent pair of scissors works fine.

It's the best shelf liner I've ever tried.

I ordered this stand to go into a small space in my living room. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wood, I expected it to be cheaper looking, but this was well made and thick layers of real wood with a dark veneer, not chipboard. I have cherry furniture with a slight reddish tint and while this is dark veneer, it is not cherry tinted at all. The image online looks to be a close match to my furniture (at least on my computer), but it actually a mid level to dark walnut color. There is also some wood grain detailing that isn't too obvious in the images. One other note is that the holes for the cords are not optimally placed. I used the shelf for a DVD player and a Tivo Premiere box. These fit well, but there isn't a hole for these cords located near the shelf. I have the cords coming off the back of the boxes and cinched back and pulled into the center cord holding area. There is a hole under the tv, but it was also a bit low for my 42 inch tv and again I just pulled the cord back. We don't have anything of the bottom shelf yet, but it seems like that hole at least is placed well. The holes are quite large and you can see some cords hanging down through the holes. I am considering placing some kind of backing over the holes, but maybe I will just leave it, doesn't look that bad. This was easy to assemble, but would be difficult without two people.

Chadko Plastic Shelf Inlays - 18 x 48 Black

We had a large set of shelves that we used to hold our TV and other miscellaneous items.. until we had a baby! Then it turned into a bookshelf & toy shelf. The books & toys would slip through the shelves, so we purchased a few of these shelf inlays and VOILA! Instant book shelf & toy shelf. We had previously tried one of the thinner, clear plastic shelf liners, but it was entirely too thin. These inlays are sturdy and hold up to our toddler. I wouldn't, however, but a 200 lb TV on them. I'm pretty sure they are particle board with some type of plastic laminate covering, but they definitely hold up well for our needs (books, toys, things slammed against them, water & milk dripped on them, etc). They are a little bit flexible when you are holding them up in the air, but once you put them down on the shelf, they are solid. I am planning on buying more for our office shelves.

RipOff is the only word needed to decribe this product. The title says it is plastic, but it is nothing but a cheap cardboard that is less sturdy than the cardboard box it is shipped in. The add reads like you are getting more than one for the price, which I figured was 5 becouse there are 5 shelves on the stand it is made for, but that price of $18.69 is for one only, and with the shipping charges of $14.99 that brings your total to a grand total of $33.68 for something that is worth less than the box it was shipped in. I'v been Rip-off'd in the past ordering over the internet, that is just the risk you take buying sight unseen other than a picture, but I have to say this makes the top of the list for me. I would send it back, but that would cost me another $9.60 in shipping to get $9.09 back ! I guess looking on the brighter side I do have a pattern to cut the box up for another two inlet liners.

Suncast ACS24 Corner Shelf

I recently purchased & installed my new Suncast ACS24 corner shelves (I bought 4). Very easy to install! Wish they were a bit deeper but they sure help with storage space.

Great concept. Fool that I was, I bought two sets of these, as they seemed like a good idea at the time... But holy smokes, these things were anything but...and they still are not properly fitted and anchored. I can use them, yes, but would not want to go even close to the maximum weight allowed. Perhaps its a function of these plastic sheds and heat, but this was nuts. I'm a fairly handy person, so this should have been a walk in the park. When I installed them (quite some time ago), I needed a rubber mallet...and a large hammer...and a whole new dictionary of profanity. I'd recommend a freestanding shelf before I'd buy these. Just sayin'. One of the brackets would go in really easily, and then...one would not go in, for love or money. And then, by the time that one was 'persuaded', another one would come out and not go back in...well, you get the idea. I broke one right off. I'm glad to hear they worked for some people, but I'd sure never buy a Suncast accessory again!

I assembled the shed last summer, and I decided to install the shelves this year. In theory, installing the shelves should not take any more than five minutes. In reality, I spent almost an hour trying to make these dam# things work. I have the shed on a concrete slab, so it is level. The shelves will only install on certain levels in the shed, so don't expect to have them as high as the slots are in the shed. If every slot lined-up perfectly, and if you choose a very hot day to allow the plastic shed to flex, installation may not be a problem. However, I would imagine that this scenario is not an option for most people. With the help of a rubber mallet, I was able to install one shelf fairly well, and the other installation was passable, at best. Part of the clips on two brackets broke, but that did not seem to interfere with the installation. One shelf would not lie perfectly flat, unless some weight was put on the shelf. I suppose this is the problem with plastic shelves. Possibly, by using a utility knife, you may be able to make some of the slots wider order to have the shelf sit firmly. I believe if I would have installed the shelves when the shed was first assembled, I would've had an easier time installing them.

Bought my shed from Amazon a few years ago and the only thing it was lacking was shelf space. Well, this solved that issue! I love these shelves! Easy enough to install, though it did take a little coercing to get everything to line up and connect but I would expect that with a 4 year old shed that has settled. I've got a gallon gas can as well as many other items on it and no issues at all.

Ultimately these little shelves accomplished what I needed to do: free up some floor space and help me keep things organized in my garden shed. Loss of a star is due to two things. First, as was the case when I put my shed together and I've read from several others, Suncast continues its tradition of having at least one hole or slot not line up quite right. A persuasion instrument, i.e. a rubber mallet, was required; I think even then one of the shelf supports was not locked in when I set the shelf in place. Second, due to the configuration of the brackets and the holes available on the inside wall of my shed, I couldn't put the shelf height exactly where I wanted it. I needed to go a bit higher than was my original plan. They are still great to have in there, and I would certainly rather have purchased and installed them than have not.
