This stand is a very sturdy item. It wasn't too complicated to set up, just needed to pay attention to the instructions. Some parts were not labeled with their letter, but it wasn't too hard to figure out which piece was which. Definately one that needs a little bit of space to put together, just to be able to lay parts out properly. Pros: Very good quality for the price, I enjoy the plastic bushings on the back for cable routing for each of the shelves, Does alot in a shorter space. Cons: Width of shelves between leg and center is a little narrow, my cable box does not quite fit, easily remedied by inserting box at an angle. Only other con would be a few similar parts, so you really need to make sure you have the right parts and follow the instructions properly. Would definately recommend.

I love this entertainment stand, it's a lot sturdier then my last stand I had. The only draw back I found with it was that it only comes in the one (pear) color and also it had a few (small) nicks along the edge (caused from shipping) which I find isn't really noticeable or a big deal. I also like the fact that this one is small enough to fit my small living-room and it can hold up to a 40 inch t.v.without any problems.

I had to purchase extra hooks because my original hooks broke, so the whole thing fell down. Make sure to use more than what is recommended for added support.

The only reason I'm even buying new ones is that it's much quicker/easier than installing a whole new bar. But I'll definitely be doing that at some point. And it won't be a Closetmaid. Unfortunately, this brand is sold at both Home Depot and Lowe's.

These support hooks from Closet Maid are made very poorly. We installed them every 18 inches, closer than what is recommended, and they have failed. They break where the bracket goes over the wire shelf. They are made out of resin and because the shelves are flimsy and flex, there is a side load on this cheap little part. Had we known this, we would never have bought any of this Closet Maid system, but now we are stuck with it. We will probably design some type of Rube Goldberg support system using 2 x 4's to support the wire mesh of the shelves. If you have not yet put any shelving in your closet, do NOT buy Closet Maid.

By the way, if you hang a normal clothing load on this shelving system, the places in between the brackets sag considerably. It looks terrible, to say nothing of what it does to the support hooks. What a terrible system overall made with such cheap material. Would have rated "0" stars but system won't allow.

UPDATE: We now have the replacement hooks. Though the part number is the same, they are even more badly made than the originals. The U-shaped channel into which the closet rod fits is made of a thinner plastic than the original. Result: if you use one of the new ones between two of the old ones, the bar does not rest in the channel of the new one. In other words, the old ones hold the bar about 1/8 inch higher than the new ones. So the weight will continue to rest on the old ones until they break and then then the weight will fall on the new ones. Greatthey save a tiny bit of money and we pay for it. I'm calling a carpenter, which I should have done in the first place.

Foremost 327601 Modular Open Cube Storage System, White

Bought this to keep albums (LPs) in and it's the perfect size. Good looking. Decently made for the price.

I bought 9 pieces of the modular black Foremost storage cabinets including two of the open cabinets. I have had no problems with them and am very pleased. I am unsure if Foremost revamped their product after the reviews were written on some of their other items, but I did not have any problems with assembly or quality. The pieces were cut well and fit together well. I was able to stack all nine modular components as I had hoped without issue. I spent about 2.5 hours assembling all nine cabinets and I did not have to modify any of them or swap parts to make them fit together.

I also bought these units when they were roughly $20 each. The boards do bend rather freely. I do not use these for heavy item storage, but I could definitely see where they would warp easily over time if you did put heavy items in them, or if you had kids climbing on them.

All-in-all I am pleased with my Foremost modular furniture. It's cheaper than most of the other modular systems out there, and it served the purposes I needed them for.

So what is the best way to store record albums so that they can be easily accessed? These cubes solved my problem. They are sturdy and the ideal size. Don't be tempted to buy the double size to save $, for they are not as durable as the single. I calculated the number of cubes I would need for my collection and arranged them to fit the space I had set aside. The white cubes look nice and are much more reasonable that having shelves built.

These cubes were a perfect solution for my small home office, where everything has to do double duty. I was pleasantly surprised with the material, the hollow-core construction is lightweight yet strong. One cube holds my 70 LB printer and copy paper supplies. Another holds 62 inch refernce binders. I am ordering 3 more to complete my storage needs. Assembly was easy and directions quite clear. I did supplement the assembly with a good wood glue, which is just my practice for self-assembly products. However the wood screws provided are strong and long, assembly also included wood dowels. The honey color is a great match for my hardwood flooring. The cubes solve a lot of storage issues without taking up a lot of visual space.

This shelf is attractive but does me no good when it is broken. One of the glass shelves was completely fractured off both metal spools that holds it to the frame. Finding a 2 tier component shelf in anything but black with Prime shipping is next to impossible, so now I have to decide to try again with a replacement or keep looking.

These shelves are cool, but they have some problems. Unlike other posters mine were completely in tact. The paint quality isn't great and they were dusty. The major problems with this is that the hooks in the back aren't in a vertical position making it more involved to hang. Additionally the back of the box is intended to be cut into templates to tape to the wall for ease of drilling in the correct spot. Unfortunately the templates aren't the same size as the actual product rendering them useless.

I was aware that I was purchasing this from Amazon Warehouse Deals and not as a new product. In the description it said the condition was good and there were only minor scratches/imperfections on the outside. When I received my order, the largest hexagon was in 5 separate pieces that I had to then glue together. Very inconvenient and was disappointed that this was not made known in the product description.

Extremely cool little shelves. The hexagonal shape is quite unique, and it's fun to cluster the group into different arrangements depending on the available space.

I would have given 5 stars, but the largest piece was damaged. Nothing severe, but one of the joints was broken and required some wood glue. Otherwise, a nifty product.

While much of the cabinet is some sort of wood, a significant and visible panel is particle board. The particle board is the 52-inch by 16-inch bottom panel of the cabinet. The front edge of this panel is visible along the full front length of the cabinet, as the doors fit within the frame rather than over it. The laminate on this particle board piece arrived with chipped and cracked edges.

While most of the rest of the console is wood, ours arrived with some pieces that were cracked -not split open, but with cracked seams.

I called the company, which said that it is not responsible the description that appears on Amazon's Web site.

Just an FYI for other customers who, like us, were searching specifically for something that does not contain particle board.

the packing for the item was good. The item itself was garbage, and not wood but particle board. The instructions were miss printed and completely the wrong picture in places. While assembling the way describe the flimsy particle board front bottom panel( which is almost the entire support for this item cracks and the pin holder came completely out of the board. The box had gotten thrown out or i would have returned this item the same day. DO NOT BUY!! you will be sorry if you do, and forget putting a television on this flimsy piece of junk unless it is your soon to be ex-wife/husband's. i gave it 1 star because will not allow no stars.

I really liked the look of this media stand, but I ordered and the first box had sustained damage in transit that impacted and marred the wood. I contacted the manufacturer who related that I needed to contact Amazon and provided the contact number. I did and they quickly rectified the situation by ordering a replacement and sending a return shipping label. Unfortunately, the replacement had a damaged piece that did not seem to be the fault of the transporation company as the damaged piece was packaged in the center of the box and no other pieces were damaged. I again contacted Amazon and this time asked for a refund which was provided the same date and a return shipping label was e-mailed to me again. Amazon also picked up the charges for UPS to pick the item up at my home instead of me having to take it to the local UPS pick up facility. Amazon's customer service was excellent...too bad the product did not meet up to the standards of what I needed. By the way, the color is more of a cherry rather than walnut.

This is a hefty package that really takes 2 people to carry into your home. Unlike the previous reviewer, it took me about 8 hours to put together (I'm not the handiest person and I was very slow and methodical putting it together). One person can put this unit together although a second set of hands would be helpful.

The unit pieces are very well packaged -while the outside cardboard was dinked up the there was not a scracth on any of the pieces and every piece is individually numbered which helps the assembly process considerably. Keep a vacuum handy -there are lots of little styrofoam pieces to protect the components that will fly all over your room otherwise.

Follow the instructions to the letter (e.g., if there are five predrilled holes, the instructions will identify the two holes to insert a wooded dowel -put it in the wrong hole and you'll have problems).

I ordered the unit on a Saturday and paid the extra $3.99 for one-day delivery. It arrived on Monday -typical fantastic Amazon.com and UPS fulfillment and delivery.

The unit stands 25 inches tall -NOT 24 inches as described in the listing. This probably won't matter 99% of the time but FYI.

As the other reviewer stated, measure you components in advance -the inside shelf space is just under 14" deep (or you can carve out the back of the unit (there are several holes in the back where you can run wires out the back of the unit) which is very lightweight. Also, make sure your components' remote controls work through the glass doors before you do all your wiring.

This is a nice, plain piece of furniture that will easily hold a 55" plasma. A 65" would probably fit also but the TV might extend a little bit on either side of the stand -measure in advance.

There is nothing more satisfying than having built something yourself! In this day and age where we have no time to have a hobby, I was thrilled to have a slow time on my work schedule to be able to commit to this home project!

After delivery, seeing that the box was indented in many places, I was expecting to hear the familiar, glass crumble-shake sounds. However, upon opening, I was very surprised to see everything nicely protected and well packed. The glass was separately wrapped with cardboard and intact. Even the door knobs were well protected!

The Assembly was fun to do, and the instructions were very easy to understand. All in all, it took me 3 1/2 easy-paced evenings. All the screw holes were pre-tapped and accurate, which is amazing in itself!

The ONLY thing is, this should be noted in the manual, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THE CAM LOCKS! I snapped 3 of them. Fortunately, they give you extra parts. Also, putting the glass into the doors was a bit delicate. Compared to the rest of the assembly, this is more Zen like. The same thing applies. Don't over-tighten the screws.

All in all, everything worked out fine, the Console looks great and is very solid. It is exactly what I was looking for and I saved $300 $500 by assembling it myself. No Joke. Also, it's made of real wood, not particle board!

About myself...I an average 56 year old Woman in the SF Bay Area, where Carpentry is not my main skill. This project, has re-kindled a joy, that "build it yourself" can offer. Plus, I am thrilled to have saved all that cash. I would recommend this TV Console highly and kudos to Walker Edison who definitely has their act together. So, thanks!

ISS Designs Shelving Hardware System for 4 Rows of 6-Inch Deep Shelves, 72-Inch Vertical Simple Sta

I am pleased with the ISS Design systems although I have ordered directly from ISS and not through Amazon. Designers at ISS have helped me configure a desk and a 4 bay wall unit with file cabinets, along with basic shelving. While I believe you can save money purchasing your own shelving as the shelf systems are sold here on Amazon it was nice to purchase complete units at one time. I did receive a gouged piece of material and one wrong unit. ISS did not question my complaint and sent replacement items with express shipping.

You can't go wrong with the basic shelving configurations offered through Amazon, and delivery may be faster with prime accounts. While you must be close to exact on your hanging measurements I do agree with one poster, this exceeds the quality of Ikea. Ikea is an excellent source of inexpensive shelf materials, I would order all the metal pieces from ISS Designs. I am considering going with a 6" deep shelf unit but using colored plexiglass as the shelving material.

I received my shelving hardware and I really like the way it looks. I really do. It's sleek, modern, and I like the fact that I got to add my own shelves. Overall though, I think that they are grossly overpriced for what you get which is basically two aluminum vertical strips and a few aluminum shelf brackets. The shelves just rest on top of the brackets, so if you don't want them to fall off, you have to figure out a way to anchor them yourself. I made shelves out of wood planks and used heavy-duty velcro to anchor mine. The shelves look nice and all, but if I had a chance to redo, I'd have probably looked for something a little better priced.

Alexandria 60" Low Profile TV Stand

I really like the look of this tv stand, especially for the price. It shipped quickly and was well packaged. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and I had it put together in about 2 hours. The only disappointment is that after a couple of weeks with my 60" Panasonic Plasma TV sitting on it, I noticed the cabinet top starting to sag in the middle, probably at least a half inch lower than at the ends. I don't think there is enough vertical support in the middle or the cabinet top is not strong enough to hold a 95 pound tv with most of the weight centered on the stand.

This is not only a gorgeous TV stand, but is a beautiful piece of furniture for my living room. I ordered the 60" stand and with my 40" TV, it looks great. I was worried about putting it together myself, but I lucked out and was able to have someone else put it together for me. It was well packed and in perfect condition. It also had wonderful readable instructions. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a beautiful, functionable piece of furniture.

This item was very well packed and all pieces were flawless. The instruction manual was easy to follow and written in large print. All the hardware was present. It is a very good looking piece and very functional. Be sure to measure all your equipment so that it fits into the cabinet. It is not very deep and some of the older pieces such as older DVD players may not fit. The assembly took about an hour and a half, not including the unpacking which takes at least 30 minutes due to the excellent packing job. The assembly went smoothly due to the well-written instruction manual. It will take another 15 minutes to hook up all your equipment, so you are looking at approximately a two hour job. It is well worth it when you see how nice this piece looks. It is really good looking and I would recommend this item to any one.

The unit arrived very well packagedin fact two boxesone huge one for the body of the TV stand and one small box for the ball feet... both well protected and no damage at all to the unit. The shipper arrived on the day I chose within the five hour window.

I was excited about this piece of furniture because the manufacturer claims "Solid hardwood and veneer construction". In fact, it is largely composition wood and veneers. The doors are solid but that appears to be the extent of it. Quite typical of most every other piece of "asembly required" furniture, it seems.

The color of the wood stain is uniform throughout and, with a light furniture polishing, it has a wonderful rich tone. The table top appears to be cherry-stained oak or ash.

Assembly was straight-forward and rather effortless. The directions were simple and clearly illustrated. This reviewer assembled the unit solo in just under two hours. All parts alligned up well and fit together perfectly.

Because wood glue was not used, as hoped, (the glue-able joints weren't solid wood), I am hoping the cams hold securely. (Just will remember not to attempt to lift it by the top!)

As a piece of furniture, though, it is well designed and very attractive, and the photos reflect its true appearance. It fits perfectly in the area we intended for it, It is attractive, functional and, hopefully the materials will last for as long as if made of solid wood.

Had it been actually solid wood through out, it would have been wonderful, but at the price it is offered, it is a good deal.

Shelf Liner

This comes with little tabs so you can anchor down the liner to the wire racks. I don't think they tested it to see if it actually worked. It sure didn't for me. However, the plastic sheet is strong and durable and you can cut it to size. I cut the pieces 1/2 inch shorter than the shelf, cut 1 inch squares off the corners, and used clear packing tape to anchor the plastic down so it doesn't shift. This way, the liner lies flat and It works out great!

This liner was very stiff and difficult to work with. There's no way to get it to lie down flat without using the tabs, and they didn't fit right on one of my 16" shelving units. I wound up throwing the whole thing away, since I couldn't even roll it up tight enough again to put it back in the box to return it.

I used this roll to line my bathroom shelves to keep the small items like combs, dental floss, etc. from falling through. It was easy to cut and install. I didn't have any problem with the tabs. The liner is working fine and lays down nicely.

My house came with wire shelving in all closets, including my bedroom closet where I store my clothes. Very shortly after storing sweaters and other clothing on top of the shelves, I realized that the mere weight of the clothes would cause the bottom item to have lines imbedded in them where the item rested on the wires. In effect, I was pressing in some depressions into the fabric which had to be ironed out before wearing. Additionally, when removing some of the items, they would get snagged on the wires (buttons caught between wires...). I found this item and it has worked like a charm; it acts like a solid surface and is smooth and friction-free. My clothes no longer have those lines in them and things slide on & off the shelves with ease without any trouble. The built-in tabs fit between the wires to keep the liner in place. The liner can easily be cut to fit the shape of the shelve. This item would also work well if used to prevent small items from falling through the shelving (think an office enviroment with pens, pencils & the like...). I would definitely buy this product again and I recommend it to anyone as a quick, easy and inexpensive solution to these kinds of problems with wire shelving.
