This organizer is very sturdy and will support printers being placed on it. Makes getting limited office space organized much easier.

Before purchasing the "compartment organizer" I did search different sites, my husband suggested I try amazon, but none seemed sturdy enough. The reviews written for this organizer did help us on this purchase. Needed a place to organize bills and magazines for myself and husband as they came in the door and not on the kitchen counter. Now, we can separate items addressed to each us and two of the middle slots are used for magazines. The top middle slot is used for pens and note pads(the organizer is near the phone). My husband put the organizer together for me and had it done within thirty minutes. Thought the oak would be to lite but it blends well where we have placed in the kitchen. Overall, we are very satisfied with the unit and would recommend it. In the future I may purchased another one to put in my sewing room.

A nicely designed, sturdy addition to any home office. I liked the first one so much that I ordered a second and stacked them. It's easily put together, and it's perfect for those items that don't fit well in a regular file cabinet or desk drawer---bills, a checkbook, a calculator, directories, etc. It's not one of those flimsy products made of cardboard; rather, it's designed to last a lifetime, and it's very handsome to boot.

This stand is a very sturdy item. It wasn't too complicated to set up, just needed to pay attention to the instructions. Some parts were not labeled with their letter, but it wasn't too hard to figure out which piece was which. Definately one that needs a little bit of space to put together, just to be able to lay parts out properly. Pros: Very good quality for the price, I enjoy the plastic bushings on the back for cable routing for each of the shelves, Does alot in a shorter space. Cons: Width of shelves between leg and center is a little narrow, my cable box does not quite fit, easily remedied by inserting box at an angle. Only other con would be a few similar parts, so you really need to make sure you have the right parts and follow the instructions properly. Would definately recommend.

I love this entertainment stand, it's a lot sturdier then my last stand I had. The only draw back I found with it was that it only comes in the one (pear) color and also it had a few (small) nicks along the edge (caused from shipping) which I find isn't really noticeable or a big deal. I also like the fact that this one is small enough to fit my small living-room and it can hold up to a 40 inch t.v.without any problems.

I searched EVERY where for a wall magazine rack for our very humid bathroom that would not only eliminate the clutter from magazines being strewn about counters, baskets & YES, the floor! I wanted it to look good, be rust resistant & NOT dust collecter!

This is just the ticket! It's a heavy well made powdered silver colored metal, that doesn't even show at all when the magazines are on it. It appears as rust won't be aproblem. I will update this review IF I experience a problem later on down the road!

It holds 12 magazines, looks Unique, like the magazines are just floating off of the wall! Everyone likes it, you can even alter the theme/decor of the room by changing the magazines (covers) around & varying the sequence of their placement on the rack!

It was very simple to install, it takes only 4 screws & comes with wall anchors if needed! I only had to get a phillip's head screwdriver, tape measure & my son (ha ha) & it was up in 5 minutes!

I can't wait for these to go on sale so I can buy more for my other rooms & gifts to give for those "hard to buy for" people in my family & the bridal showers, housewarmings etc ....that I am always fumbling about TRYING to find something for!

I originally thought it would be a brushed metal finish, but its not...silver paint/powder coat. Not a huge deal since most of the metal is covered by mags anyway. But all the rest of my bath fixtures are brushed metal.

The product that came wasn't anything different than advertised. It is what it claims to be. It was easy to hang and no problems using it as described. I just personally found it to look less impressive (a touch sloppy, too casual) once in my home and hung up. I put it above the toilet tank, with magazines filling it. I just dont know, it makes you want to be picky about which magazines you buy so when they're hung they don't look like an eye sore. Who wants to draw this much attention to a magazine cover? most of them aren't appealing to me. In other news I am letting my weight watchers and good housekeeping subscriptions lapse and picking up consumer reports, maybe those will look better hanging on this :)

So my only complaint is a lack of instructions. I realize this sounds stupid, but I was looking for any info on/in the packaging for the size of the drywall screw anchors. I kept guessing and checking on how big they were. I think they are a bout 1/4". Not a big deal, but it could say somewhere what size of a hole you should be drilling. Whatever.

So it's a bit pricey, but a neat little rack. Up close you can see the metal divider between the two columns, but A) So what, it's not magic, we know they aren't really floating and B) if someone points it out they are probably the annoying type who tries to find the negative about anything.

So yeah, I only got this because my girlfriend bought me a subscription to Writer's Digest and so I figured it will be perfect and a nice display once it's filled out, and I can keep them around for reference later as well.

So if you have the spare cash or have a specific purpose, these are very cool.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

It's attractive and functional. Despite being unnecessarily hard to assemble, I recommend it.

LOOKS:

This bookshelf is composed of natural-colored wood with a pleasing pattern to the grain. It has simple yet elegant lines.

STABILITY:

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this bookshelf a 7. This is actually quite acceptable for an item that is tall and narrow and made of light-weight materials. All that is needed here is common sense--put the heaviest books on the bottom shelf.

PACKAGING:

It was well packaged and arrived undamaged.

ASSEMBLY--THE SHORT VERSION:

It was really hard to assemble this bookshelf.

ASSEMBLY--THE PLAY-BY-PLAY VERSION:

3 of the 4 shelves come already attached except for 1 support bracket each that you have to attach yourself by screwing them into predrilled screw holes. This part is easy, and it went fast. The trouble came with the 4th (top) shelf. In order to attach it you have to screw on 2 support brackets that have pegs sticking out of them (again, screwing them into predrilled screw holes). These pegs are meant to fit into 2 peg-shaped recesses in the sides of the bookshelf.

Here's the problem: If you attach these brackets to the shelf first, and then try to 'slide' the shelf into place, you will create a deep gouge in the wood, and --believe me-they won't go in anyway. There simply isn't enough clearance. Even if you do one at a time. Even if you flip up the bottom 3 shelves so that they're not 'holding' the bookshelf closed.

I figured the way around this was to slide the brackets into their 2 recesses in the bookshelf first, (easy,) and then rest the shelf on them, and then reach up from underneath and screw in their screws last. This was impossible. There wasn't enough clearance to get the shelf to fit into place. Believe me I tried.

After 45 minutes of jamming and shoving, and exloring new frontiers of cursing while contorting my body into stranger and stranger shapes (and even discovering a new yoga pose--whose name would never make it past the Amazon censors) I was finally able to accept that it wasn't going to happen.

This cleared my mind to come up with the obvious solution. If I couldn't get the shelf to go into the bookshelf, I would have to de-assemble the whole bookshelf and reassemble it around the shelf. This was actually easy and fast because I have another of their products and had saved the special tool they'd included that fits into all their main screws. I removed the wooden plugs that hide these screws and unscrewed the top two. This created enough 'slack' in the bookshelf for me to fit the final shelf into place, resting on the two brackets. I then rescrewed the 2 screw. At this point I'd planned to screw the brackets into the shelf but now that the shelf was where it was supposed to be it was obvious that the predrilled screw holes were not. On the other hand, now that I'd assembled the bookshelf around the top shelf, both it and the 2 brackets it rested on were jammed in so tight I couldn't have removed them with brute force even if I'd wanted to.

So I called it done.

CONCLUSION:

Aside from wishing more care had been given to preassembling this product, I am well pleased with it. I live and work in a 2 room studio, so each new item of furniture has to be both beautiful and functional to justify the space it's taking up.

This bookshelf passes both tests with flying colors. It is a lovely new addition to my teeny tiny home.

Maybe I didn't read the description correctly or maybe it just wasn't listed, but when this bookcase arrived it was MUCH smaller and narrower than I had envisioned.

That said, I was very impressed with the quality of it and the way it folds neatly when not in use.

If you're looking to use this for actual storage of books and documents (about 80 hardcover books)keep looking, but if you're looking for something decorative to display decorative little things and photo albums (about 8 albums per shelf) this is perfect.

I bought this shelf (in black) about 18 months ago. It arrived with a couple minor scratches (as other reviewers have mentioned) from shipping. The shelf is very sturdy and well built (from solid wood unlike similarly priced products which are made of particle board) so I feel completely fine filling it with my college textbooks. I am planning to buy a second identical shelf in the near future.

Initial assembly is a little complicated (as there are similar pieces with slight variations which make it hard to line up holes) but you only need to do that once. After it's assembled, it folds down easily which is great. I've moved twice since buying the shelf and it is a breeze to flatten the shelf, move it out of a building and place it in the back of a car.

I wouldn't call it a piece of fine furniture, but a must have for a student that has lots of books and needs to move around frequently.

I have ordered Antique Walnut and what has arived says Walnut on the box, but is wery dark in color. There are lots of defects of the stain and wood, it does not stay straight on the floor very poor quality.

Size and function are as specified and I did not have any trouble assembling it, although it did require some use of force to set top shelf in place.

I had no choice, really, because I needed it to be 14" wide, but if you are flexible with size, get something else.

I just recieved this thing called a bookshelf. It has no quality at all.

I opened the box, and removed the shelf. One of upright legs on the back had been made with a piece of lumber that had been broken completely in

half and put back together with staples. It looks like a stitched incision. It was completely scratched all over. We had to fix all the scratches.

If I had not had to have it now, I would have sent back for a full refund!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suncast ALS17 Loft Shelf

I don't know if this is a recent change, but the B52 no longer ships with the two ridge beams necessary to install this product, even though there are places where such beams could obviously be installed. Too bad; I had to send this product back. Otherwise, it appeared to be as advertised... though 30lbs maximum storage isn't much.

I wish the product description noted that it only works with certain Suncast sheds. It does not work with my shed #GS9000. Now I have to pay to return the product; not happy about this

Sauder Harbor View Storage Cabinet, Antiqued White

I got this in THREE days. I love it. It is a sturdy piece of furniture. I bought it for my craft room to store fabrics and quilts in. It took my husband about two hours to put it together. What slowed him down was the BACK piece does have a TOP and BOTTOM direction to it which was not stated in the directions. The back panel is very thin but other than that I have NO complaints. I will buy two prettier knobs for it but I am VERY pleased with this purchase. It is a lot roomer than I expect which is always a plus!!

Update: I just ordered a second one since I needed even more storage. "Wayfair" has FREE shipping and the service is wonderful!!

I really like this storage cabinet. It looks good and was very easy to put together. It was also much more inexpensive than purchasing a previously assembled unit of this size, and then paying for delivery (I don't have a truck and you would need one to deliver a cabinet this large). The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that the center divider and top shelf is necessary to hold the unit together. I really just wanted storage space, and did not plan on installing the shelving. I can still fit my vacuum and electric broom, but I had to carve out notches in the upper shelf so the handles would fit. We happen to have an electric saw so it was no big deal, but if you are expecting to utilize the entire interior without the shelving, this is probably not the best choice.

Giving this a four star rating only because of issues with the packaging. The stand itself is beautiful, and for the price, I'm really surprised at how nice it is. It's exactly what we wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. BUT, the packaging is completely inappropriate for the weight of an item like this. A couple of sections were damaged when we unpacked it. Fortunately, my husband is completely able to make this type of repair, and did, but if you don't happen to have someone near by who can fix and cosmetically hide small dings/dents/gouges, etc., then you would probably end up sending this back.

It's such a good product that I'd hope the manufacturer would take a little more care with the packaging.

Very attractive, and heavy duty. Open design provides maximum cooling. The base arrived slightly damaged (it should have been packed better). The service from the manufacturer was excellent; a new base arrived within 4 days of informing them of the problem.

This might be a great product. I don't know. None of the parts are labeled and the assembly directions are terrible. The directions are a pamphlet with line drawings showing how parts go together step by step. With a 50/50 chance of getting the parts put together properly I didn't! When I was done and found that the shelves didn't fit, I called the manufacturer. After describing the problem, the person told me it sounds as though I had two parts backward. Not the first customer to call with the same problem. Customer service was very pleasant and told me they would ship replacement parts. We'll see what happens when the parts arrive.

This TV stand is modern and beautiful and that is what I am basing my review on. If I were to base it on the packaging itself and the delivery it would get no stars!!!

I'm truly amazed it arrived here in one piece across Canada to Knoxville TN and isn't ruined with such poor protection. I would think Sonax would invest more into that so things don't have to be returned or replaced. They were a couple nicks that luckily were fixable with a black sharpie.

Also shame on UPS for their treatment of this package!!!! I was shocked everything wasn't broken as there were work boot tracks from one end to the other, obviously it had been walked on by a grown man as the tracks were complete from toe to heel. I took pictures of the footprints before I even opened the package expecting to have to return it. I love Amazon and shop from them on a regular basis and this is by far the worst package I have ever received!!! Although not the fault of Amazon.

As for the TV stand, it looks awesome! It was extremely easy to put together. I am a 40 year old female with a broken foot and managed by myself. I do suggest help as the glass is heavy but it is possible alone. I bought this for a 55" flat screen that has been sitting on my floor unopened for a week. I am excited to gets things set up but I was so furious by the packaging I wanted to write this review before I finished the set up. If you live close to where Sonax is located I highly suggest a purchase from them. Until they invest a little more money in packaging you are taking a gamble it arrives safely. As for UPS I deal with them everyday at my job and this is the first time I am very disappointed by their service.
