We bought this shelf 2.5 years ago to hang above our daughter's changing table for things like lotions, sunscreens, etc, that were taking up too much space on the table. We're now expecting our second child, and I wanted another shelf to hang in his room since we're still using the shelf in my daughter's room even though we've moved the changing table to the baby's room. I bought one at Target for about the same price as this one, and it's not nearly as nice. It's unstable on the wall and I'm uncomfortable putting it above where my child will be laying. I actually cracked the shelf slightly trying to get it on the wall, and it's not nearly as thick as this shelf, which I think helps increase the stability. We will be attempting to return the new one to Target and are ordering another of the Knape and Vogt shelves because the quality is far superior. We did not have any problems with the paint, I can't remember what the wall anchors were like but we always have those on hand so I probably wouldn't have noticed if they were poor quality -would just have used my own.

The product came with chipped paint and a few dents. Although dents were on side that goes next to wall. It was extremely inconvienant for me to have to repaint it when the reason why I bought it in the first place b/c it was white wasn't worth the hassel to send back either.

Mine arrived in great condition. It looks great installed. Only gripe the drywall anchors that come with it do not have a lip on them. We lost one in the wall. Luckily we had our own supply of them and used our own anchors to install this beautiful shelf.

I ordered 2 shelves. Color is more cream than white and is not consistent, so I had to paint them. One shelf was chipped on both ends and so warped, you could never hang it. I called seller's customer service 2x and was forced to leave messages. No one called back. Then sent an email and received quick response. They shipped another shelf pretty quickly and told me to throw the damaged one away. I am happy with the shelves despite the hassle and painting needed.

These shelves are really well made and seemed so sturdy, but the finish is terrible. I bought two of these, and both of them had a blotchy, uneven coat of paint that looked yellow in some spots. It was bad enough that it almost looked like coffee had spilled on them. I would NOT buy these again. Luckily the return was easy enough.

The bathroom shelf is OK. Make sure you place something hard+flat on the shelves and put your stuff

on it so that things don't fall off the wire gaps. I would have liked it to be a little more sturdy.

The towel rack was the best of the lot. All my towels are in it and it is stable.

The magazines in the magazine holder keep dropping off the wire gaps. No good for me.

Anyway for the price, I thought it was OK overall.

Product was packaged well and seems well made. No problems there but either the photos were retouched to make the main shelving look larger or the toilet was shrunk to make it look bigger. Its nice and we are keeping it but much smaller than we expected it to be.

It only took a few minutes and a phillips head screw driver to assemble all three pieces by myself. Only one small issue one of the pieces had an appreciable amount of rust inside, but since I live in a very dry climate it shouldn't be a long term problem. Please note that if you have base boards of any size, you will have some difficulty fastening the shelving to the wall.

I have a small apartment, and I was pleased that all the pieces fit nicely without an overcrowded appearance in the bathroom. It was very easily put together, but I'd recommend having an extra pair of hands to help for the large space saver piece.

My closet is beautiful and organized. I put the large Easy Track closet organizer on each 8'wall with 2 drawers and shelves. The whole thing rests on a horizontal metal strip so you do have to be careful not to overload it. I found this out the hard way, but I had seriously overloaded. With just all of my clothes, shoes, purses, etc. it is fine, but I had stacked some books and photo frames on a shelf and the whole side pulled out of the wall. It was easy to fix and I added legs on the center section just to be sure. Since then, no problems!

Great match for my existing cherry laminate shelves. well made, arrived in a heavy duty box and on time. Woulkd buy again from this company.

the laminate chips off easily. The shelves are made of particle board which crumbles where the laminate has chipped. I would not recommend.

This product was exactly as advertised. It is sturdy and works very well and is perfect for the area I have available. The ironing board pad cover could have been better considering how much I paid for it (it is a dull, rough cotton). Fortunately, I sew and can make or adapt another one, but someone else should consider the problem with replacing it later because it is not a standard size ironing board. The only real complaint I have is the instructions paper (yes, I meant "paper") for putting it together. There is one sheet of poorly printed paper with difficult to read pictures and not one word printed on it. Now I have put a million pieces of furniture, etc. together and was able to muddle through, but I felt sorry for someone who has never done something like this before. So as I said I was satisfied with product and would recommend it.

Not near as sturdy as I had hoped for the high price. 3 of the bolt holes had to be tapped to use screws supplied. Ironing board seems to have a good pad and design concept is a good idea. Cart easily moves with wheel brakes set on tile floor.

This cart is very poor quality considering the price. It comes in a LOT of pieces that don't fit together well and, in some instances, the screws don't fit. I doubt it would last if we were planning to move it around much. Good idea poorly executed.

I will start off by saying, that I rarely leave feedback, but I consider this product so good that I needed to. I am very critical on the build of items and how they are assembled. The shelves Are made much more rigid and better than I had expected. The shelves are wide enough to hold the big salt containers and some of the big spices bottles. They come with their own mounting bracket system. I did not use the brackets that were already mounted, I removed the bracket system and just use the holes already in the cabinet and sunk screws into the door. I didn't like the look of the metal brackets sticking out of the sides and with only the screws being used once the spices are on the rack you won't see any of the mounting pieces. However, I was impressed that it was almost overkill. That tells me that it is a well-made durable product. If I can figure out how to upload pictures I will post. This is not a negative at all, but you will probably want to buy three or four more shelves to go into the rack so that you can fit all the small little containers of spices. I'm sure those can also be ordered on their own.

The seller Build.com was also quick with shipping and the best price out there. I consider This money very well spent And my wife loves them.

This is definitely not some cheap, low quality shelf system it is made out of maple and is very sturdy (and heavy). Had some damage from shipping (the original box was really not designed for shipping as there is no protection for the sides of the unit), but as usual Amazon customer service is amazing and they took care of everything.

I love these book shelves. They look amazing and arrived promptly. The instructions were a little difficult to decipher, but nothing that couldn't be figured out. I recommend putting on the back of the cabinet after putting it all together but BEFORE putting on the handles to the doors-I messed the first one up because the intructions had me do that last while the unit was standing up. I did this all without powertools-the holes come pre-drilled. They are very sturdy and very roomy.

I took one star off because there are some slight flaws in the surface of this desk. When I was putting it together, I found quite a few & was bummed. However, now that it's all put together I am having a hard time spotting the imperfections.

What I love about this is it only comes out from the wall about 2.5 feet (which is the desk surface). I have a very small work room and wanted to convert it into a workroom / guest room and needed to free up some floor space. This did the trick.

The directions are difficult only because it's not clear in the diagrams where the angles are in the rails. So take your time & think about it while you're piecing it together. Otherwise you'll be reassembling it. :) I did with the book shelves that match this & it's very frustrating.

It really does look sharp once you start putting decorations & books & computer pieces on it. Very stylish & different. I bought 2 books cases to go on either side & it looks cool.

I would recommend a keyboard tray to add to it, the desk surface has plenty of room for mouse & keyboard, but it can be a little cramped if you like to game. It's also a little high for me (I'm short!) to comfortably type. :)

All in all it was well worth the price!

The 24" iMac just fits perfectly with keyboard in front. The desk is not very big, so don't expect to put much else on it. The middle shelf is about 6.5" deep and top about 4" deep, so no room for a printer. The minimalist design sure helps it to disapear.

Build quality is fairly nice. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because they don't include brackets to mount it to the wall. Not wanting to trust my computer on it, I was able to carefully drill into the back of two shelves into the wall and anchor to a stud so kiddo or kitty doesn't taken take it down.

Let me first state that this is no reflection on Amazon. Amazon has always corrected any wrongs and made things right. I purchased this desk and bookshelf item 1 month ago. One of the bookshelves did not come with one of the long sides to hold the item together. In the packaging it says to fax a missing items thing to winsome and you will RECEIVE the item in 7-10 days. We contacted them on July 29th, 2011. It is now August 19th 2011 and they JUST sent it out after sending a series of angry emails. They sent it ground from Washington state-we live in Virginia. Thats another week or so. I would suggest spending a little more money and getting better service and quality from another shelf maker.

Very attractive, easy to assemble. The glass is fragile due to back mirror being concave and pushing the shelves outwards. The functionality of opening/closing the cabinet is minimal due to fragility of the shelves and the nature of glass on glass. Only recommend for aesthetics and not for functionality.

I purchased this unit back in February, after having it on my wishlist for *years*. I'd hoped to have a nice case for all the shot glasses I'd collected from my travels.

Sadly, this unit does not live up to all the positive feedback it has received from others. Where do I begin?

1. The locks are completely non-functional. The latches cannot lock whatsoever, with or without key. The center piece just spins. If it did lock, it could probably be easily manipulated with a very small screwdriver. The latches don't even really seem to close completely, as when you push them forward to the lock, it pushes the locking mechanism out to block the latch. No amount of fiddling with this will make them close entirely.

2. The pegs cannot fit in all of the holes. For each and every shelf to fit, the pegs must be aligned to certain holes. It doesn't quite work out, though, as two of the holes on the left side of the unit are blocked by screws from the door.

3. The glass shelves are badly cut. Most are several millimeters too short for the case, which causes issues I'll describe in #4.

4. The pegs are too loose, and when the shortened shelves are placed on the pegs, they start to bow in. Many have randomly fallen out while I was putting in shelves and trying to perfectly align the shelves between the pegs. I don't even want to try putting the weight of my shot glasses on these, for fear that the pegs will fall out and the shelves will crash down on the others below them, glasses and all.

I'm too far beyond Amazon's return policy to return this item (I was wrapping up my job and my last semester at school prior to moving ~700 miles away from my hometown, things got a little nuts, and assembly of this unit got put on the back burner, so that's totally my fault), but I figured I'd at least give it the review it deserves. My options at this point seem to be Super Glue and tape, which is not really what I wanted to have to do for a unit I paid over $100 for (when including shipping).

I like the product its self quality is ok. The problem I had was the back glass was busted in the corner. Instead of going through the hassle of shipping it back I sorta hid the cracks with the shot glasses.

I've bought two of these within the last year and both were easy to build and very well constructed. The directions are very easy to follow and it took me about an hour to setup.

Drawers on both of my units slide well.

Keep an eye on the price of these units as they tend to go on sale for a great price and free shipping.

The quality is OK for the price. It is somewhat difficult to assemble, but once together it gets the job done. It's even better with the wheel kit on it. I'm glad I bought the kit.

Just a note for those that are looking to purchase these cabinets. If you are planning on these cabinets with the optional casters and the VersaTop Work Surface and 6' or 8' Workbench they will not fit under the workbench, too tall by only around an inch. Knowing that this cabinet is not the "Premier" series I don't see how Whirlpool could overlook this as this is to be a modular system. Was told these are the "Manufactured in China" cheaper model and not the "Premier" made in Chicago. Would have thought that Gladiator would have been more specific to this such as another line of product as they have the Cadet and Premier lines. Still a good overall product, just need to be a little more descriptive in their product lines and versatility.

Almost never write reviews but I couldnt wait for this one. Only about 50% of the screw holes on this thing lined up properly (after checking about 5 times that the pieces were in the correct spot. Had to drill new holes in several places just to get it together. Im about 2 hours in and only half way done.

Not what I was expecting for the ridiculous price point these things are at. Would never get another (and might sell these to some other sap). Stay away!

I ordered these shelves for our store to store coffee mugs, etc. Since the coffee area is in view of customers I wanted something a little jazzier than the usual shelf system and that's exactly what these are! They are sturdy and functional easy to mount (be sure to use a level so both ends are even!), and I love that you can arrange them however you want. We had a limited space but were still able to arrange the shelves so that they look really snappy. I am very impressed, would definitely buy these again!

These are very nice and look very good mounted. I gave it 4 stars because the hardware that it comes with is junk. Plan on using your own anchors and screws.
