Personally, I have purchased 6 of these shelves..several from Sam's club,

then when Sam's ran out of stock locally I started purchasing them here on Amazon.

These shelves are the type that you knock together, with buttons and keyholes.

You can position the shelves in several different configurations...tall like a bookcase or wide like an entertainment center, and can choose flush shelves or shallow shelves.

I prefer to make mine shallow, they hold books easily without bookends.

The shelves themselves are made of steel, with rather flimsy board inserts, but I find that they hold very well.

It does take 2 people to start assembling the shelves unless you can clamp it somehow, but it gets easier as you go up.

It was easy to put together--until you got to adding the top 2 shelves. Ideally 2 persons assembling would have been better, one alone is a challenge because you have to balance and hold the components. The mechanism to assemble is easy, a modified tongue and groove concept, but you have to be aware that it can come apart just as easily.

Though I have cons listed, I must give this 5 stars anyway because I do love it rather than just like it.

Pros: If you have a narrow width pantry door, this is probably for you. I searched high and low, and this is the only one that had the right dimensions while adding a considerable amount of storage space. Build quality is surprisingly good. Very strong steel with adequate gauging and quality craftsmanship.

Cons: It comes with anchors that are designed to anchor into solid material or drywall. Inside doors are usually hollow, not solid. I suggest tossing those and using toggle bolts if you really want to have peace of mind that it's not going to rip out of you door.

Though it took me a little extra time to install this, is was well invested time, as it really added a lot of storage space to my cramped pantry.

We put 2 of these on the wall inside of the closet under our stairs. They're sturdy, look good, and allow us to use that part of the closet as extra pantry space for the kitchen. We liked the first two so much, we bought a third.

These shelves are sturdy, stylish and very functional. The shelf depth works great for a variety of products from water bottles to paper plates. The shelves look great when the pantry door is open as they obscure most of the items at a distance. They are exactly as described. I would have appreciated having the shelf height available. I am thinking of purchasing a 2nd set. The delivery time from Amazon was shorter than anticipated. Amazon had the product in stock & the lowest price on the web. Great product, worth the $$$$.

We purchased this in lieu of a hanging basket for our produce, as the hanging baskets always broke in one way or another. This was a great call! We put the potatoes in the bottom, the onions above that, and can put apples, bananas, etc. in the other bins. Much bigger than I expected! Which is GREAT! The only problem with the size is that my husband hung it kind of high (over our recycling bins), and I cannot reach the top basket. I would definitely recommend this product. It is well made, sturdy, looks nice, and could be used for a multitude of things! 5-Star!

I bought this for extra storage in my pantry. I didn't read the product dimensions before I bought it and was overwhelmed by the size of this thing. It was too big for the space I had originally planned to hang it, but I did find a place for it and it's really freed up a lot of space on the shelves.

4 stars for the packaging. It was loose in the box it was shipped in with no padding or protection. It had some dents in the mesh. Nothing worth sending it back for.

I love this bed frame. It was exactly as I thought it would be (except for some damage inflicted during shipping). Assembly was a bit annoying in that the side boards didn't want to go into the proper slot very easily, but once it was together it was sturdy and gorgeous. The only downside for us is that we bought the box springs for our new mattress and this frame is not meant for box springs (which I knew when I bought the frame after buying the mattress).

The bed is great, not hard to set up MEASUREMENTS ALL MATCHED. SHIPPED very QUICKLY for its size, and a GREAT PRICE! The only DOWNFALL, THE HEADBOARD isn't exactly a 'Large bed' height. For those who would like to have a large headboard , you will have to loose the bed spring. I personally chose to keep my bed spring, and loose a little headboard. Overall I am satified with my purchase, and would recommend this for anyone looking for a bigger bed, for a smaller price.

After much research online I finally decided to purchase a California King Bed Frame from this company. The price was good and shipping seemed reasonable. However, the actual time for shipping ended up being just over 2 weeks and then the item arrived damaged. The delivery guys really didn't even care that they boxes were pretty banged up. When I opened up the headboard I found that it had been badly smashed in multiple places. Their customer service was okay but now I have to wait another 1-2 weeks for a replacement and the company that they said would come and pick up the damaged headboard still hasn't showed up after 4 days. Overall, their products are okay, but don't expect great service or delivery. I would not purchase from this company again.

Just bought 2 of these to replace 2 exact same caddies. My wife and I like the look of the nickel finish and the large capacity. Unexpectedly, the old ones rusted away in less than a year. You would think an item made for wet conditions would be built to withstand contact with water. Anyway, I sprayed the new ones with a rust inhibitor clear coat. Hopefully, these will last a lot longer.

Knape & Vogt Mfg Co 9' Titan Shelf Bracket (Pack Of 10) Shelf Standard Bracket

Love these. The price was outstanding and the quality is there. I paid much less than they are listed at now... If you have the Knape and Vogt standards, you need these brackets. They have two holes drilled in each to attach the shelves to if you like. They are flat on top as well to allow for using a wider shelf than bracket (ie I have these on 10" wide shelves). I think these would likely be ok on up to 12" shelves, but I would not push them any wider. The slots mate perfectly and do not wobble. This was also a pack of brackets. It did in fact have 10 brackets, enough for 5 shelves if you are using two standards.

The only shocker I had was that the ones I ordered were a hamered silver/nickel color. I was thinking they'd be white, but looking back at the description, it doesn't say that. Either way, these are well worth the price and I will simply paint them when I get around to that. For now they are already installed and doing great!

Definately a best buy for Knape Vogt hd (the type with 2 slots on each side of the bracket or 4 total per bracket)shelve standards! Highly recommend.

While much of the cabinet is some sort of wood, a significant and visible panel is particle board. The particle board is the 52-inch by 16-inch bottom panel of the cabinet. The front edge of this panel is visible along the full front length of the cabinet, as the doors fit within the frame rather than over it. The laminate on this particle board piece arrived with chipped and cracked edges.

While most of the rest of the console is wood, ours arrived with some pieces that were cracked -not split open, but with cracked seams.

I called the company, which said that it is not responsible the description that appears on Amazon's Web site.

Just an FYI for other customers who, like us, were searching specifically for something that does not contain particle board.

the packing for the item was good. The item itself was garbage, and not wood but particle board. The instructions were miss printed and completely the wrong picture in places. While assembling the way describe the flimsy particle board front bottom panel( which is almost the entire support for this item cracks and the pin holder came completely out of the board. The box had gotten thrown out or i would have returned this item the same day. DO NOT BUY!! you will be sorry if you do, and forget putting a television on this flimsy piece of junk unless it is your soon to be ex-wife/husband's. i gave it 1 star because will not allow no stars.

I really liked the look of this media stand, but I ordered and the first box had sustained damage in transit that impacted and marred the wood. I contacted the manufacturer who related that I needed to contact Amazon and provided the contact number. I did and they quickly rectified the situation by ordering a replacement and sending a return shipping label. Unfortunately, the replacement had a damaged piece that did not seem to be the fault of the transporation company as the damaged piece was packaged in the center of the box and no other pieces were damaged. I again contacted Amazon and this time asked for a refund which was provided the same date and a return shipping label was e-mailed to me again. Amazon also picked up the charges for UPS to pick the item up at my home instead of me having to take it to the local UPS pick up facility. Amazon's customer service was excellent...too bad the product did not meet up to the standards of what I needed. By the way, the color is more of a cherry rather than walnut.

This is a hefty package that really takes 2 people to carry into your home. Unlike the previous reviewer, it took me about 8 hours to put together (I'm not the handiest person and I was very slow and methodical putting it together). One person can put this unit together although a second set of hands would be helpful.

The unit pieces are very well packaged -while the outside cardboard was dinked up the there was not a scracth on any of the pieces and every piece is individually numbered which helps the assembly process considerably. Keep a vacuum handy -there are lots of little styrofoam pieces to protect the components that will fly all over your room otherwise.

Follow the instructions to the letter (e.g., if there are five predrilled holes, the instructions will identify the two holes to insert a wooded dowel -put it in the wrong hole and you'll have problems).

I ordered the unit on a Saturday and paid the extra $3.99 for one-day delivery. It arrived on Monday -typical fantastic Amazon.com and UPS fulfillment and delivery.

The unit stands 25 inches tall -NOT 24 inches as described in the listing. This probably won't matter 99% of the time but FYI.

As the other reviewer stated, measure you components in advance -the inside shelf space is just under 14" deep (or you can carve out the back of the unit (there are several holes in the back where you can run wires out the back of the unit) which is very lightweight. Also, make sure your components' remote controls work through the glass doors before you do all your wiring.

This is a nice, plain piece of furniture that will easily hold a 55" plasma. A 65" would probably fit also but the TV might extend a little bit on either side of the stand -measure in advance.

There is nothing more satisfying than having built something yourself! In this day and age where we have no time to have a hobby, I was thrilled to have a slow time on my work schedule to be able to commit to this home project!

After delivery, seeing that the box was indented in many places, I was expecting to hear the familiar, glass crumble-shake sounds. However, upon opening, I was very surprised to see everything nicely protected and well packed. The glass was separately wrapped with cardboard and intact. Even the door knobs were well protected!

The Assembly was fun to do, and the instructions were very easy to understand. All in all, it took me 3 1/2 easy-paced evenings. All the screw holes were pre-tapped and accurate, which is amazing in itself!

The ONLY thing is, this should be noted in the manual, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THE CAM LOCKS! I snapped 3 of them. Fortunately, they give you extra parts. Also, putting the glass into the doors was a bit delicate. Compared to the rest of the assembly, this is more Zen like. The same thing applies. Don't over-tighten the screws.

All in all, everything worked out fine, the Console looks great and is very solid. It is exactly what I was looking for and I saved $300 $500 by assembling it myself. No Joke. Also, it's made of real wood, not particle board!

About myself...I an average 56 year old Woman in the SF Bay Area, where Carpentry is not my main skill. This project, has re-kindled a joy, that "build it yourself" can offer. Plus, I am thrilled to have saved all that cash. I would recommend this TV Console highly and kudos to Walker Edison who definitely has their act together. So, thanks!

This shelf unit is simple but good. I bought mine for a rather unconventional use. I mounted it on the exterior of my travel trailer for a cooking shelf.

I found that there was plywood underneath which was unacceptable for my exterior use. I replaced the plywood with a piece of plastic cutting board.

I like it, the shelf is one hand operable when lifting up. Just lift and it locks in place. It does take two hands to lower because each bracket/hinge must be released but it only takes one second. It arrived quickly and the seller provided good communication. It was well packed and in perfect condition.

I bought this for my laptop. I was skeptical at first since only one person had reviewed it, but it's perfect. It will definitely hold a laptop and withstand lots of raising & lowering without falling apart. There's no plastic or particle board. The metal hinging arms are sturdy and the stainless steel won't be affected by my laptop (which tends to run hot). My only complaint is that I had to take the bottom screws out and take it apart a bit to mount it to the wall. (If you go that route, make sure to mark your drill holes before you do, though.) There were no installation instructions, but it wasn't a huge hassle. Plus, the company contacted me well before the shelf arrived letting me know that if I had any questions they would be happy to assist.

Had some difficulty getting access to the mounting screws to mount to the wall but removing the top shelf part (four screws) made it much easier. Made to fit on standard 16" frame wall studs. 42-Inch High Boy Black Wood TV Stand with Media Storage

The assembly on this product is painful due to many different pieces, and the part on the bottom holding the weight does NOT have a backside to it, which is just odd.

But really the main problem we found with this unit is that it can't go into a corner, the doors swing open quite a bit wider than the unit itself. So if you want to use the doors, you need to calculate about 10-12 inches of free space to both sides of the unit.

That said, I still liked it.

When we bought the item, we thought it was described as a " high boy" meaning 42 in.. high. It was only 30 in. high. The quality of material was not as expected since the base of the cabinet broke when we tried to put it together. The color was good and it looked nice in the picture but we were disappointed with it.

Ok, so this product arrived, and the packaging looked like someone had thrown it down a flight of stairs. I opened it up and there was one small blemish that was easily overlooked and I took a sharpie marker to it. No problem. I began assembling it and all the parts are there. The holes didn't seem to be drilled consistently because some dowels fit perfectly, some loosely and some I had to shave down to make them fit. Once fully assembled I got it where I wanted it and put my TV on top. It looks good I have to say. Good height, size, storage. But the pegs on the side storage slip out, once again due to the holes not being drilled correctly. All in all pleased, but there could have been some more attention to detail put into it.

The "TRUE WOOD" description mentioned in the ad means black painted press board. Upon opening the package we discovered numerous broken and cracked boards. You know what that means.
