I have been looking for a small bookcase that I can put my 15 nursing books in my closet at the bottom. I could not find anything that I had in my imagination. After multiple searches on amazon.com, I was so happy when I found the way basics cubes! They are perfect size, colors and so easy to assemble. They are very durable, strong and fun too! I bought 2, lined them together and they are excellent for my books. I plan to get 2 more. Love them.

These cubes are exactly what they claim to be easy to put together, no tools, colorful, and sturdy enough. I bought two and have them stacked, using them to store my LP Records. They took less than 5 minutes to put together and are surprisingly sturdy considering there are no nails or screws, just double-sided tape. I would definitely buy these again for records, books, or anything else.

You need to be very careful putting this together, as the sticky strips are VERY sticky, so once you attach it, its there for good. I'm not sure what happened to the person who had one collapse. I sat on mine (I'm 220*) and it didn't move. They must have left the back off? It's fake wood, but looks great for the price!

I'm using it as a printer stand and putting the extra paper in the cube...works great!

I bought two of these cubes and had them both assembled in about 10 minutes. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, having obviously been written by someone with a sense of humor who understands human nature. The information also tells you that the cubes are made from recycled paper -so no trees were killed to create them -and how to place the cubes properly so they don't collapse. They're very affordable, attractive and easy to assemble.

My neighbor & I made this single cube (tomorrow the 3 cube tower). You can actually make sense of the instructions. Over the years I've gotten items where the instructions ranged from difficult to utterly worthless. The instructions, both diagrams and words, made sense. It took very little effort to put this cube together. They suggest that you put it aside for 24 hours with some books piled on top so that the glue settles. So it is sitting with 5 massive cook books on top. The cube it self can hold most of your large books in both height and depth. It won't hold a large Atlas or other books of that size. I'm happy.

I really like this item. It is very sturdy and the glass is thick and will hold very heavy items (mine has a 60 lb vintage receiver on it). The wood is a very nice color and the wood is thick. Putting it together is another thing. The directions are adequate, but you have to really look at each picture in detail and make sure to get screws in the right place. Even though it is easy to put screw A into hole B, they do not tell you that hole B needs to be facing in or out, up or down. You can get almost through before you realize you made a mistake and have to disassemble and start over. I have experience with the companion 5 tier stand and still did this one wrong. Once together, this is a very nice piece.

I gave this item a four only due to the intructions. They were a little difficult to follow, but after a few attempts, it came together easily and the end result was a solid product suitable for any budget. Just a note to those of you who use the text alert feature to track your package: I have had several purchases over the past two months and in every case, I had my shipment way before I received the text telling me that it had arrived.

Shelf Hangers - 24" Wide X 16" Tall

I got lucky by randomly checking alternative suppliers/listings for this common item. Basically half the price of the other sellers by eliminating the packaging (bought two sets for price of 1 elsewhere). Received hangers quickly, and was surprised to NOT find the mounting eye bolts (lag screws). Checked the description more carefully, and it clearly says "screws not included"...my bad. Needed to hang a stereo (63lbs), media player and Xbox360 in the basement and these fit the bill perfectly. Keeps everything off floor and out of the reach of the little ones. Just added eyebolts and two 2x2' shelves and had it all set up in a double hanging configuration in less than 15 minutes. I did eventually go back lace retainers on the bottom of the shelves to keep them from sliding and felt lined the back of the shelf so I could push it flushly against wall to keep it swinging when changing game discs.

Altra Hollow Core TV Stand, 60-Inch

In all honesty, I don't understand why IKEA doesn't make a tv stand more similar to this (with a better price) because it matches ALL our IKEA living room items... either way, it looks fabulous and really was a breeze to put together. My reason for only 4 stars is that there was a big chip in one of the shelves and I have to paint it to make it look better; I presume this happened during shipping. Either way, if you have white furniture in your living room and looking for an awesome entertainment center to be the envy of your friends... get this. I love the ROOMY shelves so that we can fit all our peripherals comfortably and not look cluttered.... plus the back covers all those lame wires/cables so it looks EXTRA nice. happy with my purchase.

Guidecraft 3 - shelf Bookcase

When I bought this but still hadn't received it I sent an e-mail to Guidecraft asking about the use of formaldehyde and off-gassing in this bookcase. This was their response:

"All Plywood have a small percent of formaldehyde in them, I have never had any complaints on this item for off-gassing. It does pass all ASTM F963 Safety standards. I hope this helps."

We recently received the box and it sat unopened in our living room for two weeks until my husband had an opportunity to put this together. We finally did this past weekend and it STANK! My husband was surprised I ordered this and I was surprised this smelled so awful based on the response I received. We plan on leaving it outside in the living room with the windows open during the day to allow it to stop smelling but am not sure when I will feel comfortable in putting this bookcase in my 2 1/2 year olds bedroom.

Otherwise, it's the perfect color, size, height and depth and nice looking as well.

I like how this shelf is hardwood (birch) plywood rather than laminate. I have another shelf by guidecraft so I took a chance and got this one even though there were no reviews. It's smooth and looks nice and is wonderfully affordable (I bought it on sale $108.45) compared to the price of solid wood bookcases. I expect it to be around in my house for a long time so I'm happy that I got something that looks good. Just a note, it says in the description that one shelf is adjustable, two fixed. I have no idea what they are talking about. They are all screwed in with no other options of where to put them. Considering I have wanted more shelving for years and I was happy with this (and it is still on sale) I have now ordered a second.

Ultra White Contact Paper, 18" x 15'

I bought a roll of this contact paper to use for lining my drawers, and it works extremely well.

It's sturdy and doesn't tears up when you tug on it, the sticky material on the side that attaches to the shelf or drawer is of good quality and attaches nicely, without making a mess (you can also just put it on the drawer or shelf without removing the backing, if you don't want it to be glued), and the side that goes in contact with the clothes etc. is also really nice and easy to clean. A moist wipe or sponge is all you'd need to wipe this clean. It's not really paper, it feels like a sheet of plastic.

If you change your mind about the lining, it can also be removed without too much difficulty, and it doesn't leave any gunk behind (I glued some of it crooked and had to remove it to put it back in correctly. It came off without problems, left no mess, didn't get damaged at all, and I could just set it back the right way without any problems.

It's of significantly better quality than what I expected, and I'm very happy with it.

As an additional detail, one roll was enough to completely line 6 medium-sized drawers, (drawer bottom + sides and back included).

But I use a lot when I line, so someone else using less might have left over paper after it. The drawers were medium-sized dresser drawers, a bit on the big side, although not the huge wide type. If yours are very big or you have one of those super-wide dressers, you might want to order 2 rolls. Although if you only intend to line the bottom of the drawers you might be fine with just one roll.

Our daughter just started high school and got her first locker. It's big and wide and everything was laying on the bottom in a jumbled mess. She told me some of her classmates had locker shelves, some good and some bad. So I went looking on Amazon and found this unit.

Okay, so I've been debating a lockershelf for a long time, a year at least. And I have shared a locker with friends who had some, but I honestly had to go back several times a day just to reset all the books and folders and papers on the those shelves because they would continuously falls, get crooked, and slide. Everyday. I'm not kidding. They were the metal shelves with just two legs that folded in (and they loved to fold in I'll tell ya :/

But anyway. I've been planning to get this lockershelf for the past few months, and I finally have it in my locker. I measured my locker, by the way, to double check and make sure it was one of the sizes listed. And even though it said (or someone said) it would fit like a built in shelf I didn't totally believe them. But it's TRUE. Oh my gosh, It's amazing. It fits perfectly, and it makes the locker look so much wider too. I am so impressed.

Also, it does get assembled easily. And you should play around with it and see how many way's you can set it up that you like ^.^

I'm not going to say it will keep you completely organized (depends on the person). But it will make it easier for me :) So far I'm using the 'normal' shelving where it's equal space on the bottom and middle and a little less on top. On each shelf I have...

Top: Extra mechanical pencils, pens and highlighters (in the Target brand boxes of all three) and then a box of papermate mechanical pencils, then I laid out some gigantic Sharpie pens, I have mounting tape (for future use), and a five pack of square sticky notes. And I could put a few more things up there.

Middle: I put 4 1-inch binders and three 1 subject notebooks, and acordian binder (which doesn't fit up and down/the long way), my planner, and my pencil bag. There's still space for maye 3-4 1-inch binders and probably more becasue my planner and pencil bag won't stay in there ;)

Bottom: I put two pack of loose-leaf paper down there, along with 2 5-subject notebooks and 6 folders. So if you can picture this shelf the same size as the others, you know there's more space. Especially since some of that stuff will probably be kept in my bag or not be spending much time in there.

Considering all that weight this shelf is sturdy, it is strong. I love it. My school year starts tomorrow, but with this shelf I know it will be great!!!

Oak TV Stand w 2 Drawers

I bought this from a local stores website after seeing it on Amazon and other places online. It is a very attractive piece, seems well made. One caution is that the spaces for the AV electronics is pretty small. I was able to fit a blue ray and satellite box easily enough, but when I tried to fit my AV Amp in ther (Yamaha 5.1 type) It just barely fits from a height standpoint(concerns about overheating) and it doesn't fit the depth. The stand is only about 13" deep in the electronics shelf and most amps are 13-17" so be careful and measure your AV boxes before ordering!

We bought a coffee table and two end tables at a thrift store and the TV stand actually matched it so we had to get it. The above review is correct. Make sure you measure what's going in the cabinet. We do not have stereo components. We have the satellite receiver, DVD player and my Wii. Everything fits great. It is a very sturdy piece of furniture. It came very well packaged and actually 1 week early. The seller, Wayfair, was wonderful to deal with. The color is more of a warm reddish brown, very pretty. I would recommend this piece of furniture, just make sure you measure first. I would also recommend the seller, Wayfair. I would definitely purchase from them again.
