I bought this shelf unit for the kitchen in our new apartment because we needed to free up some counter space. It is just deep enough for the coffee maker (I also purchased a while shelf liner for the top shelf to make things more stable on it) and the bottom two shelves hold my crock pot, stand mixer and juicer. It frees up other cabinet space and makes them easy to access, which is great. All in all, a nice unit and way cheaper than at the Container Store and just as sturdy.

I have more kitchen stuff than I have room in my kitchen to keep it all. I bought this shelving unit 3 months ago. This is a high quality product. I like to bake bread and other pastry goodies. So, I have lots of snapware containers filled with every flour imaginable, as well as walnuts, almonds, pecans, chocolate chips, all types of sugars, and other baking ingredients. They stack nicely. I have wine glass boxes (party sets) and heavy objects on it too, like cast iron pots and skillets. You know how heavy those particular cooking essentials are. It is steady, and does not lean, move or sway. It feels like it is bolted to the floor when you try to push it. You can totally put heavy things on it without worry. These Whitmor carts are beautiful asthetically. You can put them anywhere and they will look great. The chrome has a nice shine to it. It was shockingly easy to put together, even for someone like me who calls her big brother to assemble everything. I couldn't wait in line amongst my other sisters, as we all seem to need him at the same time. I wanted to use my shelf right away, so I got motivated and did it myself. I love the fact that you can create extra space instantly with the right materials. This shelf was perfect for the job.

I also have the smaller one (Whitmor 6056-344-N Supreme Cart, Chrome) for my laundry room holding all my detergents, my iron, and my sprays. I've had it for years no problems, very happy with it. It does not have any rust, even with the humidity in the laundry room.

Initially, I had purchased a similar shelf from Walmart. I had to take it back. But, this one is high quality. These Whitmor shelves have been excellent in meeting my storage needs. I have recommended them to friends who visit and compliment me on them. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I love these shelves! I am terrible at putting anything together but I trusted some of the other reviewers and purchased this product. This shelf was so easy to put together. I was able to put it together by myself in less than five minutes. I think it would be easier with two people to maneuver the shelves into place, but I was able to do it alone. These shelves are sturdy and deep enough to hold a laundry basket. I loved it so much I bought two more. This has doubled this storage space in my closet.

Bought this looking for an affordable storage option for our alcohol collection. It is hard to find affordable shelving sturdy enough for this. With this shelf we found:

Pro's:

-Easy to put together! I am a small uncoordinated female who rarely assembles things and was able to set it up quickly all by myself before boyfriend got home.

-Very easily holds a large amount of weight, and glass bottles full of liquid are heavy!

-Doesn't shake or wobble: when you are putting glass things on a shelf you don't want to have to worry that it's shaky and things will fall off and break.

-Once you set the desired height for the shelves, they don't slide down: when I opened the box and saw that little plastic things were all that would hold the shelves up I was very dubious but once I snapped them on they didn't budge, even if I leaned all my weight on them!

-Very good price for the quality. Shelving made specifically for wine or liquor costs hundreds and even more to ship, and the lower priced ones are more than this shelf and don't hold nearly as much. If you don't mind how it looks, this is really the best affordable option. And can't beat Prime shipping!

Cons:

-This isn't enough of a problem to knock any stars off for, but if you are going to set anything smaller on this shelf(narrower bottles etc) you will want to buy a stiff liner to lay on top of it. That way you don't have to worry about things wobbling and falling if you set them down and they're not balanced on two of the bars.

Conclusion: The description is accurate and next time I need a shelf for anything heavy I will turn to Whitmor shelving units!

Over The Door Hanging Purse Rack

Although I purchased this as a means of storing ALL my bags, I discovered that anything greater than the weight of the smallest bags will cause the door clip to release. The hooks are easily adjustable, but are too narrow to accommodate wider purse straps without folding the straps (which is undesirable).

My smaller bags have found a happy home. I sincerely hope the company creates a sturdier version for more serious bags sometime soon.

My problem with this product is either the unit itself is to short for standard doors or the hooks that hang it from the door are not any good. When trying to install it the unit would fall on me because one of the hooks would slip because of the stress from stretching it on the door. It does however come with a way to fasten it to a wall which works perfectly. However I didn't want to hang my purses on the wall I wanted them out of sight on the back of the door.

These hooks hold no considerable weight. I had a set of 2 on a door and all but 2 of the hooks have cracked and fallen apart. Good for small purses or light totes but definitely not for heavy leather or wide-strap bags. The manufacturer needs to look into making a more durable hook (metal or similar strength)for those heavier bags.

The big issue with this product is that the description doesn't make it clear that the "over the door" hanger will only fit thin doors. Yes they do provide some hardware that will allow you to attach the product to the face of the door...but this requires drilling holes into your door! Drilling holes would, in my opinion, defeat the purpose of an over the door storage system.

Clear Stackable CD Holder - holds 30 standard CD jewel cases

I was looking for a holder for my computer software.

Since I could no longer find the desktop holders this was the next best thing. It fits perfectly under the computer hutch door. Width, depth and height are perfect. Not offensive in looks either. The wide slots are perfect for holding one wide jewel case (the old standard types) and two slime/thin jewel cases in one slot. Another nice feature is that it also has 4 small, rounded, thin rubber bottoms in each corner of the holder which prevents the holder from sliding each time i take out or put in a jewel case.

Always measure dimensions of area you seek to place the item in first and make sure it will fit. Great inexpensive buy. The shipping for this lightweight item was a bit more than what I expected. If you can buy this item local and avoid shipping, do so.

I ordered a number of these and have been very happy with their "performance" -they are solid and don't collapse as some I've had in the past did. If I needed more CD holders, I would order more of these for sure! And the supplier was prompt, also.

It should be noted that these cases will hold 30 CDs but there are two slots for double CDs at the top of each case. I have not seen a double CD case in a long time, with the advent of the 2CD standard sized case. It is too bad there are not 30 individual CD slots. However, the cases are sturdy and they were well packaged when shipped.

I bought two of these Acrylic CD holders for my office as I was tired of searching through stacks of CDs thrown here and there. We just purchased our third of these (there are over 350 books in our home). Every time we have ordered one, it has come well packed in layers of Styrofoam and has been simple to put together. The shelves are quite sturdy, each of our three holds at least 100 books of varying sizes.

The only problem with these shelves is that they leave marks on the wall if you have to move/straighten them. This usually only happens when first putting up the shelves and initially positioning them, as they stay in place quite well when set up and full of books.

Also, Amazon tends to put these shelves on sale every so often, so you can usually pick one up for under $65 with shipping included, if you wait for the right time.

I wanted a leaning bookshelf, and did a little research on various ones. I chose this one, over the cheapest one on Amazon (I think around $45) because a couple of reviewers said that it was sturdy enough to hold a lot of books, and that is what I wanted to use it for. Overall, I am happy with it. I just have a few comments about the piece, itself for people who are a little hesitant to buy furniture online.

It is easy to put together. It comes in 9 pieces (5 shelves, 2 sides, and a top and bottom). The painted finish seems a little thin on the parts of the shelf you wouldn't see (ie the bottom). The directions have an inventory and assembly section. In the inventory section they clearly show that the top and bottom of he sides are different (top is straight and bottom is angled), but in the assembly directions they look the same. The result is it took me a few minutes to figure out which end I was actually supposed to start on. The shelves are screwed in very securely. It is not just a screw into wood, but there is a metal reinforcement around the hole. BUT the bottom and tops are loose. I ended up putting a few dabs of wood glue on them (which means I can't disassemble this), and letting it cure overnight. It is almost like the holes are too large in the top and bottom or the wood dowels are too short. The upper shelf cannot really hold books, because it is so shallow. You could put paperbacks on it, but they would hang over a little. The bottom shelf is the opposite. It is so deep. I had to rummage through my books to find a couple that I could put on the ends that would not fall out of the sides onto the wall or floor.

I have a lot of books, that vary in size and weight, and the shelf handled all of them beautifully. A good alternative to a more expensive version of this shelf. And a smarter design than the cheapest version. The edging around each shelf keeps your books on the shelf, and prevents your wall from getting scratched up each time you add or remove a book.

I also had no problems with scratching the wall when I placed it (one reviewer claimed this). Also, the sides are each one long piece of wood not broken in two (another review claimed this).

I purchased this shelf from AtHomeMart, and am extremely happy with the product. It arrived well packaged (almost over kill on the Styrofoam if you ask me...) and went together amazingly easy. I put it together by myself in maybe twenty minutes, I didn't even need to look at the instructions!

There are only two things I can say that are the least bit negative about this product... One, I'm very sad it didn't come in an espresso finish, none of my other furniture is black. And two, I was not aware that the height of the shelf would be in two pieces. This is really not noticeable, it just was not what I was expecting. I was expecting the side pieces to be one solid long piece, but they are actually two smaller pieces you set together. Once together, they are very secure and the seam isn't terribly noticeable.

All in all, I think this is a wonderful shelf. It looks great in my living room, is very sturdy, and (I feel) very well constructed. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for the price.

These shelves are lovely, spacious, and easy to assemble, even with only one person. The only reason I am giving them four stars instead of five is a design/cost-cutting issue. Each shelf is held to each side post by a long screw, which does most of the fastening, and two dowels which run between the posts and the shelves on either side of the screw, for stability and weight bearing. The dowels are flimsy pressboard -I broke two of them during the assembly process, just moving the shelving to attach the other side. Would it really have been too expensive or difficult to make them of the same beautiful wood that the shelving is made of, or better yet, metal? There isn't even a measurement given on the instructions to let me know what size dowel they are, so that I can procure metal ones to replace them. Other than this issue, I'm very happy with the look of the shelves, and I'm sure my books are similarly happy to be freed of their moving boxes.

This is a nice shelf for the price. Crate and Barrel charges an arm and a leg for similar shelving, so this is a decent alternative. At Home Mart's customer service is also very good -when my shelf arrived broken they took care of it immediately, shipping out replacement pieces at no cost to me.

I purchased this table to go with a projector.

The good:

1. The table top is larger than I thought, resulting in the pleasant surprise of additional counter space to hold my DVDs and various paraphernalia.

2. It is very sturdy you would not easily knock this table over, making it especially safe around kids.

3. You can raise it very high, which means that you can put a projector behind a bunch of kids without worrying about a head blocking the screen.

The bad:

1. Based on the picture, I thought the legs folded out from hinges on the corners of the table. They don't. You have to screw four of them in and out manually each time. This is a hassle.

2. It's uncomfortably heavy you certainly would not want to carry it for long. While the weight makes it more stable, it also means it's more of a pain to put together and pull apart. As a result, you'll tend to leave it sitting in a corner between uses, which to me means it's not really portable it's more of a semi-permanent fixture.

I have a super-lightweight camera stand (which I love) and thought this was going to be just like that. While it's certainly up to the task of holding your projector, I believe it could be designed effectively with less than a quarter of the weight and with fold out legs. I'll keep it, but would not buy it again.

These tables are great for their portability, size and stability. We use these for our on-location photography and place our laptop computers on them. The adjustable height them ideal for our various employess. I would highly recommend them. Be sure you are purchasing the correct size for your application.

It's fairly simple and works as such.

The handle is unbearable. More than 2 minutes of carrying and you'll need phys therapy.

The first unit I got, one of the nuts was stripped. Given the depth of thread, it would be physically impossible to do this tightening by hand and the embedded nut had every appearance of being overbored, so I think it was just a bad nut. It still worked in that the pole would not easily pull out of the stand/nut (I would still need to unthread it) but it wouldn't tighten, making it a little more wobbly.

Amazon shipped out a replacement and I had it in a few days, with very little hassle.

I would only take off 1/2 star for the bad nut. Quality control could get this if they threaded in the legs, but that would add a lot of cost so I understand.

I took off a 1.5 stars for the bad handle. No excuse for that.
