Ameriwood Laundry Cabinet

I got this cabinet, it is very cheaply made. I had to reinforce the entire back of the cabinet because there is nothing to hold it to the wall. It will not hold the pounds it states unless you reinforce the framework, I used steel angle brackets. For the amount of extras that I put into the cabinet, I could have built one myself.

The package arrived as directed but it was wrapped in such cheap cardboard there were several tears. This is most likely why the hinge hardware was not in the package. Nor were there any assembly instructions. Fortunately, the cabinet was pretty straight forward to put together. But I had to hang them without the doors.

I searched for quite a while on the 'net til I found a phone number to call. When it rang through I got an extension for "Public Relations" that said a spiel about "technical difficulties" and then hung up on me. No joy that day...and since it was a Friday, I figured it would be a week or more before I got any help. I searched some more and found a "parts reorder" form which I submitted, hoping it would end up in the right department.

Sure enough, when I called the following week to see if I could get through, I was told that my missing pieces had been shipped out and I should receive them soon. I did indeed receive them a few days later, was able to install them and the cabinet works just fine for its intended use.

I would rate them a star higher because the cabinets are working...but there are several dings on them from the poor packing. They are made of particle board...so a hit makes quite an impression....all puns intended.

This cabinet fits perfectly in my tiny laundry room right above the washer and dryer.

The assembly instructions were a bit of a challenge, and it took my husband and I about an hour to put together.

You need extra hardware/screws to actually hang it on the wall. (we used 4" screws because that was all we had they were too big)

I also recommended this to a neighbor who also bought one. When they put things in theirs, the bottom fell out because really the only thing holding the bottom shelf on is 4 little screws. They ended up reinforcing it with 2x4s to the floor behind their washer and dryer.

I haven't had trouble with mine. Maybe I just didn't put too much weight inside mine.

We really, really wanted these to be 5 stars! The idea is great, and they did hold the spice jars for about 2 weeks. After that, the plastic just loses its springiness and the bottles/jars fall. This was with all of our jars, very small ones, the light plastic ones that are actually pictures (we all know the brand there). For the time that they worked, they were perfect. If they were made of metal with spring steel clamps, they'd be ideal and worth more cost. These just go into the category of wasted money. They just don't work, you can't even coax them into working.

I installed these as directed in several cabinets and have not had anything drop in over a month. They really helped me organize my spices and made room in my cabinets. I like them, and have had several people comment on them.

I also bought some of the similar product sold by "AsSeenOnTV" and these are a bit better, I think. I suggest you only buy these "Extra Clips" and don't bother with the "Organiser" item this is supposed to be an extra for.

I live in an rv and the clips are excellent. I use them for my spices. I have about 50. I made a wood strips to put these on and attached the strips together so I can hang them outside for bbq. I hang them on the inside of a closet door for use in the rv. Nothing I have found works better.

When placing these items in your cupboard or pantry, be cautious where you put them. Be sure they clear the shelves as the adhesive on them is VERY strong. Once they are placed, they can't be moved. These are not designed to hold glass bottles but rather the plastic ones such as McCormick or Tone spices. The glass bottles will stretch them out of shape and they will eventually break. But they are still the best system I have ever found for spice storage.

First off, I received this item the very next day. That was fabulous, so we were off to a good start. I was so ready to whip my spice cabinet into shape that I got to work right away. I would recommend emptying the cabinet first and then grouping the bottles by similar size/shape before you attempt to start installing the strips. I actually snapped my bottles into place before I installed the bars and then held them up to the door to make sure that I had enough room for both and that the door would still close properly. Large spices, such as Lawry's Seasoning Salt are not going to fit into the slots, but I only had 4 or 5 spices that size, so it didn't bother me. I also left my tiny spices in the cabinet since they don't get used as often. One piece of advice that I would offer is to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I read that some people had trouble with the strips falling off the wall or cabinet. If you clean and dry the surface first, there's no way those suckers are just going to fall off. Also, the directions say to install it immediately after you take the backing off. Allowing air to get to the adhesive makes it less effective. If you don't follow those instructions, you may have issues. I have uploaded some photos of my new spice cabinet. There's one slot that isn't filled because I didn't have another spice that would fit. Overall, I would highly recommend this product if you have a cluttered spice cabinet.

This shower caddy is certainly the best I have ever seen. The joints are smooth and everything seems to be put together very well. I hope the stainless steel proves more resistant to rust than my previous caddy, which was chrome plated.

Good as it is, there are a couple of problems. If you have a detachable shower head with a hose (as I do), the arched rail across the top tier of this caddy gets in the way. I rerouted the hose through the caddy as a workaround, but to some extent a conflict remains. Also, the caddy came with two suction cups for stability. One of the cups works very well, while the other does not work at all. Don't know why there should be a difference, as both are on smooth tile surfaces and both look the same, but there it is.

Follow-up. After six months of daily use with no maintenance apart from an occasional wipedown, this stainless shower caddy does not have a speck of rust. So far, so good.

Product appears to be real stainless steel, which should prevent it from rusting like every other caddy I have owned. The design is off in my opinion. Many newer homes have large shower heads. This does not accomodate well as the shower head actually sprayed on the fron rail of the top shelf. I had to order a 10" shower arm (6" are generally standard) to eliminate the issue.

Additionally, slick tile surfaces are rare, which means the suction cups do not work on tiles (aka. rough surface texture) in newer homes.

This is a nice quality and heavy gauge stainless steel unit. The shelves are a great size and deep enough so if you bump it the shampoo bottle don't fall out. Comes with two suction cups to keep it from swinging. All in all I would recommend this caddy.

This caddy is made out of three sizes of wire / thin rod, plus a few decorative strips and a couple of balls covering what would otherwise be the exposed ends of the main rods. The thinnest wire is pretty thick (maybe 12 gauge?) and the heavier rods seem more than adequate to supporting whatever you might want to hang under your shower head. The welds look good. Overall, this product seems like it will last for many years.

It's well laid out, and while the slight arches to the decorative strips are sort of unnecessary and a design element that probably doesn't match anything else in your bathroom they're not obnoxious.

Overall, the only really negative thing about this caddy is that (in my shower, at least) the arch on the top strip gets in the way of the bottom of the shower stream when the head is aimed as far down as it will go. This doesn't seem to splash any water out of the stall, but it does tend to splash a bit farther from the valve wall than the shower would otherwise, making it harder to avoid the initial cold water.

I am very impressed with the shower caddy I received! When I opened it, I appreciated that it wasn't as heavy as other caddies I've purchased before! In addition to that, I liked that it came with the suction pieces. I am a product junkie and have various shampoos, conditioners and other body products that I need on hand during a shower. They definitely could weigh down the caddy or cause it to move when it's in contact with water. The suction pieces will definitely keep it in place! The picture does not do it justice. This is an elegant, well built, set of shelves. We bought them to hang plant lights on, so we can start our garden indoors, before the frost is gone. I was worried that they would look kind of tacky in the living room, but they are so beautiful and fit the living room so well. Looks like it could be a baker's rack or a nice plant shelf. Easy to put together and very sturdy. BTW, it came with extra parts, in case you'd rather have 2, 2-shelving units instead of one 4 shelving unit.

I originally purchased a Whitmor 14x36x72 shelf. I was happy with it, but needed a 48 in shelf to complete the rest of the space. While I was happy with the Whitmor shelf, it didn't come in the 48 inch dimensions I needed. I purchased this Alera because it had equally good reviews across multiple sites. When I went to build this, I realized that it only came with 4 shelves (as opposed to the five the Whitmor came with). I found this to be frustrating. You either have to keep the lower shelf pretty low, and give up useful space below it, or you raise it to make that space more useful and give up on some stability. I found it a little cheap of Alera to only provide 4 shelves, especially because the cost of purchasing additional shelves is a little outrageous.

This item arrived several days early, in perfect condition. Assembled very easily, especially considering it's size. I did it by myself and it required no tools. Very sturdy, it is holding heavy glass terrariums and full aquariums with ease and comes with stabilizing castors and wall anchors if you need them. I bought the black one and the finish is very durable, I was dragging and pushing my tanks into place with not a scratch.

Very happy with the purchase especially at the amazing price (apparently half off?) so much so I just ordered a slightly smaller version of the same thing.

Over The Door Hanging Purse Rack

Although I purchased this as a means of storing ALL my bags, I discovered that anything greater than the weight of the smallest bags will cause the door clip to release. The hooks are easily adjustable, but are too narrow to accommodate wider purse straps without folding the straps (which is undesirable).

My smaller bags have found a happy home. I sincerely hope the company creates a sturdier version for more serious bags sometime soon.

My problem with this product is either the unit itself is to short for standard doors or the hooks that hang it from the door are not any good. When trying to install it the unit would fall on me because one of the hooks would slip because of the stress from stretching it on the door. It does however come with a way to fasten it to a wall which works perfectly. However I didn't want to hang my purses on the wall I wanted them out of sight on the back of the door.

These hooks hold no considerable weight. I had a set of 2 on a door and all but 2 of the hooks have cracked and fallen apart. Good for small purses or light totes but definitely not for heavy leather or wide-strap bags. The manufacturer needs to look into making a more durable hook (metal or similar strength)for those heavier bags.

The big issue with this product is that the description doesn't make it clear that the "over the door" hanger will only fit thin doors. Yes they do provide some hardware that will allow you to attach the product to the face of the door...but this requires drilling holes into your door! Drilling holes would, in my opinion, defeat the purpose of an over the door storage system.

Pretty sturdy cart, but I would like the option to not put the casters on. Also, I think the shelves should be turned the other way so that you have a hedge around to be able to put things on the shelves without them sliding off. But you cant put the cart together like that, you have to follow directions or else the shelves do not stay in place. Lame.

I bought the four-shelf system, and am very happy with it. It was easy to put together, and fits very nicely inside my utility closet for vertical storage. It is very sturdy and has a decent amount of shelf space, though probably not for anything very large. I use it to store my window a/c when not in use, as well a boxes of cleaning supplies, a bucket, and various other items. The nice thing about this shelving system is that you can determine the height of the shelves yourself.

Very nice medium-duty wire shelves. The casters are probably the weak point in the system, but they're OK, just don't plan on wheeling loaded shelves very far very often. Seville Classics and Whitmor seem to be the same thing, so I interchange their parts as needed for convenience. I have three of the chrome shelving units, and they're very versatile.

It looks nice and matches my oak floors well (I got the oak, but it is the same book case other than the 1 micron thick veneer). I got the book cases (four of them) because it fits into the space in my office and it looked, from the photos, okay, especially for the money. Given that I didn't pay shipping or taxes, I figured I'd go for it.

This is what the company selling the product does NOT tell you. If they did, they would sell far less product. I know I wouldn't have ordered this book case. 1. The back of the book case is not laminate wood (as advertised) nor is it a board. It is cardboard with a sheet of oak looking paper on it. It is both cheap and false advertising. 2. The clips to hold the shelf in place are made of plastic. They need to be changed to brass so that the shelf does not collapse from the weight of the books. That's an additional expense, albeit minor, but it also means a trip to Home Depot or your local hardware store.

At least now you can make an informed decision. Zero stars for the fallacious advertising, cheap backing, and plastic clips, and three stars for the book case. I am keeping the book cases only because the size is correct for my purposes. We'll see how long it lasts. Fair value for this book case would be about $50. Check Staples, Ikea, Office Depot, etc., before even thinking of buying this book case.

It was more expensive than i wanted to go,but then again it is exactally what i was looking for sizewise.everything fit together perfect.I put it together in 15min.Yes the shelf pins are plastic,but they hold a set of encyclopedias i have on them.The backing is laminated cardboard,but who cares it looks nice.It is expensive but what isn't these days.I'd say if its what you want,go for it.I am satisfied and glad i bought it after hemming a hawing about the price for about a month i'm glad i did it.

Measurements listed were accurate, and the bookshelf fit into the tight space under my kitchen counter. Color pictured was pretty accurate. Assembly was easy, not too many pieces. Instructions were adequate. Backing is a piece of cardboard to nail on, but not the worst I've ever seen. I've purchased hokey and cheap before, and this is a little better than that. All in all, a nice little piece of furniture that's appropriate to the amount I spent on it.

This is a nice piece of furniture with quality wood and finish. It went together easily although the directions were not 100% accurate. I was hesitant to purchase furniture online but not finding what I wanted in stores I took a chance. It arrived early and was packaged very well. Each piece was wrapped in a foam wrap and there was plenty of styrofoam to cushion the parts so they didn't shift in the box. I am very happy.

Orchard Hills Entertainment Center Carolina Oak

This is a beautiful unit. My only problem was in lifting it once I had it assembled. It is SOLID and very heavy. The directions are clear and all the pre-drilled holes are in the right places. Highly recommended.

This entertainment center is a great value...looks great, and is built sturdy.

I wish the assembly was a bit easier, however not a major consideration.

Hard to find a better bang for the buck.

I took three week for this company to ship it and once it arrived, I felt that I was stuck with it. The wood, although nice and strudy was warped. Once I got it fully assembled, I noticed that is was not squared and could not hold the weight of my 35 inch Zeinth TV. Also note that the shelves are useless...nothing can fit on them but old VHS tapes.

If you are considering a piece of furniture such as this, consider buying it from Walmart of KMart. Once you spend the shipping cost, the value is lost.

The Walker Edison Wood Stand is everything they claim it to be and more. It's a beautiful piece of furniture. We looked around at local furniture stores and couldn't find a piece this nice for more than twice the price. Honestly to find anything that wasn't cardboard or glass the prices were hundreds of dollars more than I spent on this 60" TV stand. You'll like the quality of the Walker Edison wood stand, it's top shelf.

We love the large amount of storage in this stand. However, with the doors filled with DVDs, they sag a little, so that the doors don't line up perfectly with the rest of the stand when they are pushed in (though they are still able to be closed). Also, you can tell that this is pressboard, but that's what you get for the money.

So let's start with the positive:

1) AWESOME TV stand.

2) The quality of the wood is superior and the styling is great! In my instance it holds, a 47" LED, 2 speakers, cable box, Blu-Ray player, XBox 360, and wii.

3) Assembly is pretty straight forward. Took about 2 hours from un-boxing and organizing all of the parts and making sure I wasn't missing anything, to getting it all setup.

Now to the negatives:

Inside the doors, it doesn't hold a whole lot and this is the reason why; the door hinges aren't made to hold a whole lot of weight. I originally started loading all of my DVDs in the stand, but after loading them onto the door and shut it, you can clearly see a big gap from the left to the right on the door from the weight of the DVDs. I had to buy a DVD stand which now holds all of my DVDs since it can only hold as many as you can fit in the stand itself (not on the inside door). Thus adding more expense which really shouldn't have happened if they had better hinges to hold the proper weight.

I've tried putting little rubber "buttons" on the bottom of the shelf and lifted up on the door when shutting so the door would sit on the button, but that didn't do anything. Plus, it was one more thing to think about when going to get a DVD, making sure to lift up or the button would become unstuck to the bottom.

So for that reason, I have to rate this at 4 stars for the following points:

Style: 5 stars

Design: 3 stars

Ease of assembly: 5 stars

Functionality (for me): 2 stars (due to not being about to use the interior compartments besides the external shelves)

The stand arrived a few days before scheduled delivery which was very nice. It was complicated to put together and the drawer hinges are not level so the doors hang unevenly. I am trying to find a solution to that issue. The color is beautiful and it is a nice piece of furniture.

I was completely displeased with the quality of this item for the price. It is extremely flimsy and not well made at all. The pressed wood does not hold the screws and the doors are not at all equipped to handle the weight of the dvd's that it holds. The doors sag due to the screws pulling partially out of the wood from the weight. I would not recommend this product and would not purchase again.

This mount works. Putting it up wasn't too bad. It is a wall stand, so you will need to find a stud and use a drill, but if your in any way handy you can put it up with no major problems. We live in an appartment, so we have metal studs so we had to purchase some hardware to get it up since the hardware it comes with is for wood studs or cement. But it holds my blu-ray player well and is sturdy.
