I freely confess, I'm another one who thought at first glance that this item was overpriced. At one time in the misty past, I had something similar in the white plastic coated wire you see nowadays as shelving, only much flimsier. That product lasted all of a month or so before collapsing completely. Talk about not worth the price you paid!

The Chrome Pantry Can Goods Rack is one of the better purchases I've made in the last year. I tried a few other solutions before buying this one because I was concerned about the price. Inexpensive lazy susans and tiered can shelves didn't what I needed: Organize a few cans of each type together, where I could see what I had at a glance. Many of the competitors are poorly made, and like my old white wire version, they fall apart easily, spilling cans everywhere. Some are poorly sized, like the tiered "can shelving" I bought that couldn't actually hold cans! And some just aren't suited to anything smaller than a 6 person family, like alternatives I've seen recommended here on Amazon, where you're intended to have 10 or more of any one kind of canned food. That's just too much for this two person household to store.

This pantry organizer is a perfect storage device if you a.) Like quality built products; b.) Keep around 5 of any given canned item on hand at a time; and c.) don't want to be limited by the size of the cans you prefer. This unit can hold a tremendous amount without bending in the least, and it doesn't matter what type of cans you have. There's space for them all! The "wire" is heavy gauge, and the chrome hasn't chipped or flaked in 3 months of regular use.

The only disadvantage would be overall size. To make a unit like this as sturdy as possible, you sacrifice the flexibility of making the width of the whole device adjustable, as it is on some lesser products. If you have small shelves, either by width, height, or depth, you'll want to measure carefully to ensure you have enough room for this rack.

But if you have enough room, I can't say enough good things about it. This really helped alleviate a lot of irritation I had with my pantry. I only wish I could find other organizational products that worked this well for every part of my house.

Really nice sturdy product. Great for storing cans. But make certain you have room in your pantry for it. When people say its HUGE they mean it.

Its 18" wide, 12" deep and 10" tall. Not everyone has that much space in their cupboard.

It is very sturdy, and has separators, so you can make it work with multiple sizes of cans. If you have space, I would get two for a family of three or more. This item holds a lot of weight in a small space, so make sure you put it on a sturdy shelf. It is sturdy, easy to put together and the cans roll well. Works good for my house because I buy a few of each type at a time...not a dozen....so I really didnt need a rotater.

I'm giving it 4 stars because it only comes with 6 dividers so the picture is a bit misleading. I ended up using three dividers on the bottom shelf which included small tomato paste cans and short pineapple cans. That meant only one divider on the top shelf. Not really a problem though because I'm ordering another one ;-)

Soundbar Riser Rectangular Top

After lucking out and getting my hands on an Atlantic Technology FS-7.0-GLB 7-channel surround bar (Gloss Black), I realized that I was going to need something to raise my LCD HDTV up high enough for me to not constantly have to arch my wrist in order to have the IR receiver in my TV pick up on the signal from the remote control. There began my search for an appropriate piece of entertainment center furniture.

I searched high and low online for the proper piece of furniture, and was ready to give up, considering how difficult it was to find anything suited to my needs. It wasn't so hard to find stands that were suited for raising a computer monitor up higher, but finding something sturdy that would hold my TV up and raise it higher on an existing entertainment center was nowhere near easy. It was starting to look like my only option was to buy a new entertainment center with a TV mount. NOT what I wanted to do! That didn't even address the need to find an actual cradle for my new surround bar. Forget about anything beyond a wall mount for that, which isn't an option for me, in my apartment with its sheetrock walls. There's a window behind my entertainment center, so any screwed-in mounting equipment wouldn't fit or hold properly anyway.

I was ready to totally give up when a Google search finally revealed a link for THIS solidly-built piece of furniture. It looked to be EXACTLY what I was looking for, even though the picture really didn't make it clear that it was the right size for my needs, or if the finish was going to be at all a decent quality. I decided to risk it, and boy, am I glad I did!

Wood Technology's Soundbar Riser Two lifts your TV up about 10", including the thickness of the wooden platform. And, unlike so many other items out there nowadays, it's made of SOLID hardwood, with a beautiful Ebony finish. Once it arrived (which took a few days, and a few phone calls more on that later), it was a SNAP to assemble. As long as you follow the very simple, basic directions, and have a Phillips head screwdriver on hand, it shouldn't take you more than five minutes (literally!), to assemble. It's super sturdy, and has its own solid weight approximately 11 lbs., so it'll hold your TV and sound bar just fine! The platform on which your TV will sit is a nice width and depth, and should accommodate just about any size TV that your average user or sports fan might be lucky enough to own. I can see this stand easily accommodating up to a 65" TV, so that covers a very broad spectrum of customers. Smart, on Wood Technology's part.

As far as the cutout area intended for soundbars goes, I was concerned, going by the photos on the product page, that this riser wouldn't be able to accommodate my Surround bar, but, once I had the riser in place, and the TV comfortably placed on top of it, I found that it cradled my surround bar PERFECTLY! No need for the cheapie-cheapie, unstable little legs that came with my particular sound bar. All I had to do was gently move the speaker wires out of the way, and lift the sound bar into the cutouts made for it. The riser is PERFECTLY stable with both the TV and sound bar placed appropriately on it. It's the completing piece to my existing Entertainment Center setup!

What proved to be a negative for me was the (potential) length of time that Wood Technology (via CSN Stores) takes in processing and shipping your orders. Mine DID arrive to me on the starting point of their 6 to 10 day window of time requested for order processing and shipment, but I'm pretty positive that I only got mine that quickly because I started contacting them daily after a few days of no apparent progress with my order.

I emailed CSN Stores after about four days of no progress with my order, and received a reply indicating that my order would ship out no SOONER than FOURTEEN BUSINESS DAYS after I'd placed it (NINETEEN calendar days)! I received that email, sent out a reply, then opted to look for a phone number for CSN Stores and call in about my concerns, which is when I got Hanna L. in Customer Service. Hanna was an absolute DELIGHT to deal with, and, over the course of a few days, maintained contact with me for updates. She was very diligent in finding out what the potential delay was, and did her best to get my order expedited. I have no doubt that it's thanks to her that I actually DID receive my order at the beginning of the shipment/order receipt window (thanks SO MUCH, Hanna! Tell your boss to give you a RAISE)! So, what COULD have been an unsatisfactory experience was turned around by some of the best individual Customer Service that I've experienced in YEARS.

Thanks to my experience with Hanna L., and the overall EXCELLENT quality of my Wood Technology Soundbar Riser Two, I would definitely try out more of their products. This item couldn't have been better suited to my needs if I'd had it custom-made (which is how it feels!), so if you've got a soundbar as part of your entertainment system's setup, I can't imagine that you'll find a better piece of furniture to accommodate it. There's nothing else out there that I've found to fit this specific need, and this stand/riser is very nicely made of solid wood, so, IMHO, it's worth EVERY penny!

Solid hardwood that fits together very well. It'll take you about 5 minutes to put it together. Word of advice use a hand screwdriver. An electric/battery powered screwdriver will quickly strip the furniture screw because of the torque. If this happens to you, grab some pliers to complete the screwing in. The screws extend about an inch from the bottom of the top plate when fully screwed in so it'll be easy.

Overall I really like the unit.

This soundbar riser is sturdy, attractive, and achieves its design objective admirably. Start with the premise that almost all "furniture" made for television or audio equipment is junk. This isn't. In fact, it is about as good as it gets. The unit assembles easily with a number 2 phillips (for the screws) and a number 1 phillips (for the twist-lock fittings). It takes less than five minutes to put together.

It supports the television with no wobble. (We mounted the vertical supports on the innermost [of three] possibilities to center the support under the TV stand.) Our main desire was, as another reviewer noted, to raise the bedroom television high enough so that the TV IR port would clear the soundbar, and avoid that twisty-wrist maneuvering with the remote. Achieved. As a bonus, the added height for the TV makes it more watchable, and the soundbar is secure.

Good design, good quality. Does what it is supposed to do, with style. What more could one require? Well, maybe speedy delivery. Took 20 days from order until delivery, but within the window promised. We would rather wait for something good, than get garbage quickly. Nice to be able to buy a solid American-made product

This stand takes about two weeks to get delivered.

I bought this TV riser to do two things, raise a flat screen tv up a few inches and provide a space for a sound bar. I thought the concept was good, a tv stand with a sound bar cradle incorporated below it. The stand is easy to put together and is very tall. I placed a 50" LG 50PX950 Plasma screen on top of it that websites says weighs 85lbs since it has a glass screen and stand. The sound bar system is a Sony HT-CT150 that I purchased from Amazon. Specs on the Wood Tech sound bar stand says it will support 120lbs, tv's up to 55". And it does, however it is slightly wobbly. For $100.00 I don't see why they did not place a little wood to the rear for extra support? The Sony Sound bar is 2" height, 32" length, so it looks very small sitting in the cradle area on this thing. There is a huge open area that you can see through above the soundbar up to the top board that supports the tv and the HDMI, Optial and power cords from the TV can be easily seen through it. Unless, you purchase a huge sound bar, the opening is almost 7", you will have a big void visible underneath the TV. Wood Tech should include a third support backing in the rear with an open area for power cords which will stabilize this thing for people with large TV's like me and black it out so the cords cant be seen in the rear. I have a Blue Ray player and a Satellite Joey Box underneath the sound bar in the cradle. My father bought a new Samsung 55" LED that weighs 25lbs, no problem if you own something like that, just the open void to look through. This stand will raise your TV 9" off whatever you place it on. The quality is good, just needs a little more. I've been thinking about going to H-Depot and buying some wood to screw into the rear...I shouldn't have to think about that after paying $95.00.

I bought this shelf unit for the kitchen in our new apartment because we needed to free up some counter space. It is just deep enough for the coffee maker (I also purchased a while shelf liner for the top shelf to make things more stable on it) and the bottom two shelves hold my crock pot, stand mixer and juicer. I have wine glass boxes (party sets) and heavy objects on it too, like cast iron pots and skillets. You know how heavy those particular cooking essentials are. It is steady, and does not lean, move or sway. It feels like it is bolted to the floor when you try to push it. You can totally put heavy things on it without worry. These Whitmor carts are beautiful asthetically. You can put them anywhere and they will look great. The chrome has a nice shine to it. It was shockingly easy to put together, even for someone like me who calls her big brother to assemble everything. I couldn't wait in line amongst my other sisters, as we all seem to need him at the same time. I wanted to use my shelf right away, so I got motivated and did it myself. I love the fact that you can create extra space instantly with the right materials. This shelf was perfect for the job.

I also have the smaller one (Whitmor 6056-344-N Supreme Cart, Chrome) for my laundry room holding all my detergents, my iron, and my sprays. I've had it for years no problems, very happy with it. It does not have any rust, even with the humidity in the laundry room.

Initially, I had purchased a similar shelf from Walmart. I had to take it back. But, this one is high quality. These Whitmor shelves have been excellent in meeting my storage needs. I have recommended them to friends who visit and compliment me on them. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I love these shelves! I am terrible at putting anything together but I trusted some of the other reviewers and purchased this product. This shelf was so easy to put together. I was able to put it together by myself in less than five minutes. I think it would be easier with two people to maneuver the shelves into place, but I was able to do it alone. Bought this looking for an affordable storage option for our alcohol collection. It is hard to find affordable shelving sturdy enough for this. With this shelf we found:

Pro's:

-Easy to put together! I am a small uncoordinated female who rarely assembles things and was able to set it up quickly all by myself before boyfriend got home.

-Very easily holds a large amount of weight, and glass bottles full of liquid are heavy!

-Doesn't shake or wobble: when you are putting glass things on a shelf you don't want to have to worry that it's shaky and things will fall off and break.

-Once you set the desired height for the shelves, they don't slide down: when I opened the box and saw that little plastic things were all that would hold the shelves up I was very dubious but once I snapped them on they didn't budge, even if I leaned all my weight on them!

-Very good price for the quality. Shelving made specifically for wine or liquor costs hundreds and even more to ship, and the lower priced ones are more than this shelf and don't hold nearly as much. If you don't mind how it looks, this is really the best affordable option. And can't beat Prime shipping!

Cons:

-This isn't enough of a problem to knock any stars off for, but if you are going to set anything smaller on this shelf(narrower bottles etc) you will want to buy a stiff liner to lay on top of it. That way you don't have to worry about things wobbling and falling if you set them down and they're not balanced on two of the bars.

Conclusion: The description is accurate and next time I need a shelf for anything heavy I will turn to Whitmor shelving units!

Oxford Bookcase

I ordered two of these bookcases to use in my pantry. They went together easily and look quite good given the low cost. They aren't real wood, but MDF for the main components and hardboard on the back. I didn't like the back. It took the paint a little differently so that it didn't quite match (I replaced the backs with 1/8" luan). They also forgot to drill it at the bottom. But, it wasn't a real problem. You just need a couple of screwdrivers (and, in my case, a drill) to put it together. One thing I don't like is all of the off-gassing. I have never smelled such a stinky piece of furniture. Fortunately, the weather has been good. I put it together with all of the doors open then put it into the pantry with the door closed and the window open. A week later, it's still stinky in there, but getting better!

It arrived onetime. Packaging was safe and not so heavy that my son , a 14 year old could not handle. Very easy to put together. Recommended

I recently received the shelf and realized that the picture and the actual shelf do not match. Suffice it to say it's my own fault for not paying more attention to the height but they shouldn't post up a photo if it's not the same item. That's what I get for rush shopping. Just a word of warning.

Stork Craft Hollie Changing Table

We bought this table for our baby's nursery. It matched the other furniture in the room and has held up so far. She is 20 months now. It is pretty easy to put together. It holds baskets of diapers, burp clothes and books. It was inexpensive and works for our purposes.

This is a very cute changing table, and I like that it has slats all around the changing area. I did put a different pad in it since I already had it. The changing pad that comes with the table is very thin, but would do the trick as well.

This table is pretty light weight and not very sturdy, but it's not a $500 solid wood piece of furniture either. So I feel like I got what I was expecting. The only thing is that it's very short! I'm 5'8 and my back was killing me after I changed the baby a couple of times. My aunt is about 5'2 and it was hurting her back too. So I put bed risers under the table legs and that solved the problem. Although now if I hit the table it wobbles a bit more.

I thought the wood on this changing table was beautiful, it is also sturdy and the design is not shown justice by the pictures seen on the Internet. It is a very nice changing table and looks very rich. It matched perfectly with the Stork Craft Bradford 4-in-1 espresso crib and Stork Craft Beatrice 5 drawer Dresser espresso that we purchased for our babies room. The only thing I wasn't expecting was the two bottom shelves to be white instead of a dark brown (which you can't tell by looking at the pictures). The bright white of the shelves kind of sticks out, it didn't seem to make sense to me that they would use white shelves for this but they did. However after putting the baskets we purchased on it and other items you can't see it as much. (I guess we could always paint them dark).

Purchased these to go with two JL closet organizers and JL deluxe towers of shelves for a master bedroom closet. Baskets include all needed hardware to install your choice of two ways, either hanging from an existing shelf, or mounted within a tower designed to hold 24" wide shelves.

Assembled and installed fairly easily. I got two wire baskets, and installed one each way (hanging off the bottom of the tower and one installed inside the tower unit in place of a hard to reach lower shelf). Function is wonderful and I think the whole unit is really attractive when completed.

It took us about a day and a half to install all the components we purchased, but we also had to do a good bit of modification to make the units fit an "L" shaped closet and fit into corners. Baskets by themselves installed in under 30 minutes. Well worth the several thousand dollar savings we achieved by doing it ourselves instead of using the finish carpenter's bid!

You could probably use these with other closet systems by modifying or using other mounting hardware. We did pull out a hacksaw and chop a bit off of two mounting brackets to achieve a better fit in a tight space.

These wire baskets are great if you purchase the canvas sack that goes along with them. They hold a ton of laundry and the glides work really well.

I have a John Louis closet system and tower in my closet, but still used a hamper that took up a good amount of floor space in the middle of the closet. I bought two of the 24x12x20 baskets with the intention of installing one at the bottow of the tower and one at the bottom of the shelves I installed with the system. Installing to the tower was very quick, took maybe 10 minutes to drill and hang the brackets for the basket and it slid right in. The shelves that came with the closet system were about 1 inch too short to install the 2nd basket so I ended up putting the 2nd basket above the 1st. They work great and glide smoothly, I recommend the canvas bags as well.

It cleared up a lot of wasted space in my apartment. It was exactly what I needed.

These are great shelves. I've seen other shelves and own other "consumer" shelves like them, which are shorter and shallower. I've been looking for a good shelf system with 2 foot depth for basement storage and finally found them here. The box arrived a bit mashed up and the instructions were ripped but otherwise the contents were in good condition. The box is somewhat heavy, but probably half as heavy as some you see that come with particle-board shelves. This is a manageable weight so I could tote the box down to the basement. The assembly is straightforward. Before I found these I got a couple of "industrial" shelves of another brand from the home store for garage storage, and they were a considerably heavier and harder to put together and I'm sorry I bought them. These wire shelves are easy to assemble and work with by comparison. I like them enough that I just bought the matching add-on 4-shelf unit (which only has 2 legs and the other side clips onto this original "Starter Kit" shelf).

Bought these for closet shelving that I cut to fit. The price is much better than you can get at any of the box stores.

When you have to cut the shelf, it leaves the small wire ends exposed. I expected the small caps to cover these. Guess what -the don't! Too big! AND the large would cap a 1/4 inch bolt!! So, I will use them for other applications. Not what I expected!

Beautiful, non-obtrusive, glass shelf holder was easy to install and appears to be quite strong. Only reason for not giving it a 5-star was that a couple of them had scratches on the inside of the bottom lip.
