Very good storage bins. Have purchased these in the past and and very satisfied with them again. This is the best brand to buy for stackable bins.

I use these to keep supplies handy. I wish they had a snap together feature so I they can be moved as a unit once put together. I'll have to strap them or tape them up to do this. Good thing I did some additional research on these and got the dimension I needed—the floor length. If I went with the basic dimensions, the supplies I have wouldn't sit nicely inside because they would be longer than the floor length.

I've got one of the blue bins, it looks great just like the picture. It feels really tough, rugged, and no weak points. As I said, a great bin but I only got one, the problem is the description says 12. One bin is kinda useless, and a pretty rotten deal. I don't know how well these bins stack, but the one I do have is pretty secure on the floor right now.

I'm working with Amazon and Shoplet to see if this problem can be worked out.

End result, "oops" (aka "unit of measure issue"). They are giving me a refund.

I originally understandably rated this at one star .. since they straightened it out I'm give it three stars.

Black and Chrome Audio Tower Textured Black Paint/Chrome

This cabinet was a god-send to my project of all putting all my DVD players in another room in the back of the house and remoting control to the family room. The unit arrived on time, was very easy to assemble, the parts were all quality and built with precision. The finished product looks very nice and lends much credibity to my argument that my office door needs NOT be closed when company arrives. I definitely recommend this product and though this unit has five shelves, I would also like to see one expandable to seven.

Love the concept of this cart. Offers extra storage space and fits perfectly next to our stove. So far it seems sturdy and the granite top is beautiful. The tray is great for carrying things to and from the dining table. We keep cookbooks on the bottom shelf and bread in the metal basket. My only complaint is that the tray arrived with several very noticeable chips in it. Also, the drawer is very shallow so it somewhat limits what it can store. We were able to fit coffee and boxes of tea in it. I also think it's a little pricey for the level of quality; however, overall a good buy and we'll get a lot of use out of it.

I just finished putting this together today.

Packaging: It kept everything protected, but the styrofoam just makes a huge mess when taking everything out of the box.

Finish: It's black. It was mostly good, a couple minor knicks on the wood, but the stone was perfect.

Assembly: The main bolts are probably the biggest pain. Assembly was not fun. I'm pretty good at putting things together and I got a bit frustrated with this. The metal inserts that the bolts screw into slip out too easily, so you pretty much need two people to get this put together. The little wood pieces that go over the bolt heads have terrible fit. Some fall in the hole, others stick out nicely (I assume they were meant to stick out a little). The bottom shelf is probably the hardest thing to line up and get bolted in. It took me over an hour to put it together.

Quality: Pretty decent. I like the stone. It's also not that terrible heavy. The middle back cross member had a chunk taken out of the wood that they just stained over. The bottom of the drawer is very thin. You can probably put a decent amount in that shelf, but I sure wouldn't load it too heavy or with a ton of flatware, or it will snap. The wire basket is good and the grooves it fits into are thick, so you can probably load that up a bit. I like the removable serving tray. The very bottom shelf is thicker than the drawer shelf, but it's not all that thick either. I wouldn't load it a ton, but probably a bit pot would be ok, just maybe not a cast iron skillet. I think the wheels are very nice though. Good heavy rubber and metal. So, overall it's passable quality and what you'd expect in the $100 range.

Overall it will do the job. I just can't put whatever I want on it. I need to plan a bit. We have a small apartment kitchen, so this gave us some needed counter space and fits perfectly into our area. I may add some thoughts on utility after I fill it up with a few things in a couple days.

This product on it's own is a good but not excellent product. On it's own it has a great appearance with shelves and drawers great for a number of uses(Utensils, bread, serving tray, etc.), but the actual stone top is too much weight for the stand to handle. Add an appliance(small microwave) or using it for a cutting surface is really not practical as it is not sturdy enough to support either. I kept it as it fits perfectly into a limited space, but it is flawed as mentioned.

First time I received it the top granite shelf was broken in half. Had to send it back. They sent me another one. my son assembled it and I had it in my kitchen.

It looked nice but quality was not good. That is why it was on sale.

However after 3 weeks of use I was moving it and all of a sudden one of the wheels came off. I looked and noticed that the wooden leg which was supporting the wheel is broken in half vertically.

I am so so disappointed at the manufacturer. I guess these people have no idea how hard it is for some of us to pay and buy something like this. They just want to make money no matter what.

Really nice looking cart. We're using it in our downstairs kitchen which is on the small side so the size is perfect. The top is faux granite giving it a nice look. The cart is sturdy and it has rolling wheels which lock if necessary. We haven't used the removable tray yet but the drawer and wire rack come in very handy and store alot. Pretty easy to put together too. Very pleased with this purchase.

Just received this today and set it all up. The assembly required absolutely no tools and took five minutes! As background, I spent an hour or two trying to find a bookshelf here on amazon since I had just moved and all my books were sitting in a box in my closet. I compared a bunch of the bookshelves within this price range $40-80 and found that all the fake wood shelves were not sturdy and poorly built, and not much else is really available at this price. But after reading the reviews on this I decided to purchase it and I was so surprised at the quality of it for $50!

The actual review: As stated, assembly is simple just twist the metal poles. Once assembled this bookshelf bears a strong weight to it making it very sturdy, even on my carpet. But it's not too heavy at all, just perfect. I have a laser printer that sits on the very top of the shelf with random books like my dictionary, thesaurus, french dictionary, etc. The second shelf is completely filled with an assortment of literature. Heavy hardcover books and softcover books all packed in together. I have the largest hardcover books on each end of the shelf pressed against the metal pole to act as a wall-in for the rest of the books and this works great. On the bottom shelf I have around 20 medium sized books along with several heavy textbooks. On my count the first and second shelf holds: 60 books, many being very large textbooks and hardcover books, while many are ~3-400 page softcover books. I'm quite amazed a bookshelf for this price can hold all my different books, printer, and still have room for more stuff! If functionality is your motivating factor, you will not regret purchasing this whatsoever. The glass is 8mm thick and can probably hold way more than I have on it. If you're big on appearances, this is extremely high quality and the glass/metal combo look great looks way more expensive than $50.

I highly recommend getting this bookshelf! I will update this review if it collapses or anything like the metal poles bend, but I seriously doubt it will happen.

This was so easy to put together! It looks so expensive! It holds just the right amount of stuff, I actually have my flat screen TV sitting on it too! Its a little shorter than I wanted though, but that is my only complaint!

This does not really hold a normal set of lids and pans, It can hold 2 fry pans and maybe 2 matching lids or perhaps 3 small lids, but it has to go into a cupboard with about 14 inches of clearance from top to bottom because of the width of the large lids. Very sturdy item, though.

This pan/lid organizer is fabulous! I love that it slides out so I can easily pull the pan or lid I need without the clatter and bang that I used to hear. We are selling our condo and I told my husband that we will definitely be bringing this little organizer with us when we move! However, as one of the other reviewers mentioned, screws/anchors to attach the brackets to the wall are not included, nor were there any installation instructions (although it's pretty straightforward). It is a nice depth, though, and has an uncluttered profile.

The shelf looks good and is sturdy. Only complaints are that the shelf arrived with a small chip in one corner (not that big of a deal, was able to put the chip in the back corner so no one will see it...but a little disappointing nonetheless.) Also there was no hardware included to mount the brackets to the wall. Two long screws with a low-profile head are needed and I think they should have been included.

This storage system is perfect for my kitchen window. I have a 'door size' window in my kitchen. This unit fits perfect, rolls out to clean floor under it. It holds my plants, and seedling starts. It has loads of usable space. The shelves are adjustable and it is strong. I expect it to last many years.

It was very easy to assemble and is attractive in my kitchen.

Am very pleased with these shelves. I was a little impatient putting them together and didn't read through all the instructions first so I had to redo the positioning of the shelf holders once or twice otherwise I feel these were well-packed, decent quality and easy to put together even for a 64 year old woman with arthritis in her hands. One dissapointment is that they tell you not to move the unit when the shelves are full and indeed the wheels don't want to roll under a load. Otherwise definitely recommended.

THIS IS A GREAT UNIT!

I bought it basically because I needed something with a small enough 'footprint' to fit in a very tight space, I needed it mobile, and I needed it strong. It manages all of that, and with style.

I use it to hold patient charts when the residents in our nursing home visit our doctors officeit's a small space, and I couldn't find a traditional 'chart rack' to fit, and hold enough charts. This shelf unit easily holds 12 or so charts on each shelf, and doesn't tip or get insteady... We are talking serious weight! It's fully mobile, even when loaded downthe doctors love that the unit can be rolled right next to their desk.

The only problem I have with this unitwhen putting it together, it's difficult to get the clamps (which the shelves rest on) completely even, and it can be tricky to get the shelves back off to readjust the clamps. On the plus side of that problem, the weight of the charts have ''settled'' the shelves pretty evenly.

Overall, a fantastic solution for a tight space at a very affordable price, and the mobility is a great asset.

The unit assembled easily and appears sturdy even when fully loaded. I had two of the super-cheap casters literally rip apart while moving the shelves for the first time with weight on them.

Suffering through Ikea on a Saturday with my wife this past week, I happened upon a set of 'Besta' wheels. A 2-pack was $10 so simple math yields that I upgraded all four wheels for $20. They are sturdy and attractive, and once you pop out the attachment screw that they ship with with a nail punch or similar, you can insert the properly sized threaded screw to mount to these shelves. I used a bit of Loctite as well. Shelves now wheel freely under full weight.

In case you've never had one of these before I figured I should describe in detail how the shelves get placed. The shelf legs are first screwed together (they are in pieces to allow for a shorter box). Then small plastic collars are placed on the legs. The collars have an extra rib on the inside that matches up with the small grooves visible on the legs. With this it allows for each shelf to be placed anywhere with a 1" resolution. The bottom shelf is a little tricky just because all 4 legs are loose, but after that assembly really is simple.

With that explanation out of the way, the assembly went well. Quality parts. Chose not to install the casters on the bottom but they were in the box and appeared to be of decent quality. Nice chrome finish, and the 5-shelf unit is nice and sturdy despite its height. I can imagine the shelves could easily take the 200lb load they are advertised to take in the description. I'd recommend this to others and will know where to buy more of these in the future if I need them.

I bought this item for $179 on Amazon.com. The price has since gone up to $279.

The item was well packaged as far as the shipment goes, and was easy to put together with no hick-ups. As for the quality, well, it's decent. If you look up close you can see some dents on the corners of the wood and see how the paint was slightly abraded off the front edge of one of the shelves. If you're just looking at it in the room, it looks decent.

As far as strength, it definitely seems solid and strong. I've only got a 40" TV on it but it should hold a larger one with no problem it looks pretty sturdy.

Bottom line, for under $200 I'm definitely satisfied with it. I wouldn't pay the $279 it's up to now (as of 12/8/10).

Product was very cheap looking and of bad quality, Amazon return was great, and is one of the many reasons why I always shop from them.

I purchased this item after comparing size, functionality, style, and ease of ordering. I have searched the 'Swedish assemble yourself stores' and other regular furniture shops in and around Chicago. On Amazon I found the Sonax NP 1608 Bench for Flat panel TV sets sized 42" to 68". At first I thought this would be just perfect since the syling was clean and minimal. The pecan front door and chrome handle looks better in real life vs. the pictures, and will go well with many living room sets. You know what? I was pleasantly surprised.

Here are the goods:

1. Delivery UPS won't bring it up three flights of stairs, but no big deal if you are on your own. Simply open the package and bring up the pieces individually it took about 4 trips. There was no damage to the unit as the manufacturer/seller actually put protective corners along the four long edges of exterior of the box, thus preventing any corner damage. KUDOS!

2. Assembly very easy, I did it by myself and slid it up to its final space on my own. The trick here is to lie your bench on the cardboard box it came in (opened up flat)and then take the styrofoam pieces and lay them on the ends and place your panel(s) on that as well, this will protect your floors when you slide your unit, and it will protect your new boards from getting micro scratch marks that you would get when you slide the boards on the bare floor or even in direct contact with the cardboard. The styrofoam will give you an inch off the ground and allow you to assemble your unit with ease.

Assembly instructions were very easy to follow, it took me a half hour to complete with only a screw driver and hammer.

3. Style Clean dual toned to match most living rooms and tastes. A simple clean design compliments the flat panel TV look.

4. Sturdy Construction I noticed the boards and hardware were all first grade which is typical for Canadian made products. The unit itself weighs in at 55kgs or roughly 110 lbs, so this is not cheap particleboard. Remember, I am comparing to the Swedish giant store products.

5. Price at around $200 this was well worth the money as I would have paid more elsewhere for less quality.

Here is the not so good:

1. I took the 'free' delivery and it took almost two weeks to arrive, when it did come in I had to bring it upstairs myself. At least I didn't have to try to bring it home from a store remember it weighs 110 lbs (55kgs). I suppose this 'not so good' isn't such a bad thing either except for the wait time.

This is a particle-board, cam-and-bolt, assemble-it-yourself unit. It's attractive, sturdy, and goes together easily; one person can assemble it in a couple of hours. If you want fine furniture, look elsewhere; if you need something nice-looking but relatively cheap to put a big flat-screen on, this fills the bill.

The problem is that, as at least one other review indicates, it gets damaged in shipping. On my unit the rear of the top shelf was banged up; some of the black veneer came off, revealing the particle-board beneath. It's not too bad and the location is inconspicuous, so I'm lucky; others may not fare as well. My advice is to look for this is a local store.

As a loyal and frequent Amazon customer for years, I have to say that shipping on larger or more fragile items sold by or through Amazon is not always adequate, and that Amazon's response to the problem is mostly to ignore it.

I recently ordered this for my apartment and I must say, over all it's pretty nice.

The item ships flat packed and the assembly is fairly straight forward (think IKEA).

It wasn't too difficult assembling myself, although having a second set of hands would have made it that much easier.

I laid it down on the foam and cardboard it shipped with during assembly.

While the item is made of a heavy particle board, if feels very sturdy.

It has a very clean look to it, the top has a nice open design to showcase your electronics while providing easy access to your cabling from the back. The bottom section is sectioned out into three different spaces just like the top, but provides a good place to hide your cables and power adapters. The bench came with three panels to attach to the back of the unit. The panels don't have precut holes in them, however this wasn't an issue for me since I didn't use them. I've added a few pictures to show what this bench looks like, my cell phone camera doesn't quite do justice, it looks way nicer in person.

I also order 2x Waxman 4700595N Furniture sliders and 1x Waxman 4701295N 2-1/2-Inch Self-Stick Square Super Sliders, Oatmeal to make it easier to slide around.

I love this kitchen cart. It looks so good in my kitchen. the size is perfect cause my kitchen is very big at all. The only thing is, it was very hard to put together and it had pictures, no directions and nothing labeled....that part was bad.

Great kitchen island but be forewarned it takes FOREVER to put together. The pieces aren't labeled or numbered so you have to really spend a ton of time matching everything up. Took my boyfriend 6 hrs to do. It looks great now that it's finished but the drawer doesn't slide open easily. It doesn't have a metal track so you're pretty limited on how to make it slide open easier.

I have put these containers through several years of heavy use in an industrial environment. They look as new today as they did when I first bought them. They stack with access to the contents and they nest to minimize the space they use when not in use. They are reasonably priced relative to other "non-nesting" stackable storage on the market. If I were to offer any criticism at all, it would be nice to have them available in other colors for sorting purposes. Other than that minor issue, these are the perfect solution to my storage needs.

This would have been the perfect product, but I relied too heavily on the image for size reference, not the actual dimensions listed on the item. It is far narrower than this photo would suggest.

120 Bottle Rustic Wood Wine Rack

This is an excellent wine rack. I have a wine review blog (The Reverse Wine Snob) and as such receive tons of samples that I need to store somewhere. This wine rack solved the problem very economically -really it can't be beat for the price. And a huge plus is that it actually uses real screws! No IKEA furniture here...all the holes are pre-drilled so it's simple to install but I just find it so refreshing that it uses real screws, so much more sturdy that way. Definitely recommend this wine rack!

Building it took a half hour; I recommend a drill for the screwdriver as driving the wood screws will take some work. Looks fine (rustic!), highly functional.

When I opened the box I was concerned that assembly would be a pain, but to my surprise it was quite easy. The wood is simple, unfinished wood, but certainly nice enough for my wine cellar. Great value on this wood wine rack I bought through Amazon and am using for my cellar. Rustic but good wood used and fast shipping. hardware provided is very good unusual for something sold for a value solution. Minor nits wood pegs to join top and bottom racks were a little too long a quick cut solved that problem. Need to be careful about knots at the end of the racks that can be weak spots if they crack, but supplier immediately offered to replace the offending piece with excellent customer service.

Ikea Expedit 4 Shelving Unit Black-Brown

I personally purchased 2 of these shelves back 3 years ago, I paid $49.99 each at Ikea between Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio, I was so impressed with the quality and easy assembly, that I went back 2 weeks later and purchase 6 more, I already have some shelving for my 5,000 plus record collection, but needed to replace some of them.

These shelves are very sturdy and I stack them 2 high, for 8 total slots, 3 years without any issues holding the records, these shelves look nice and quite frankly, look like something that would cost 3 times as much assembled.

I can see nothing wrong with these shelves, especially if your budget minded, It angers me that someone would give the product a 1 star review based on a third party seller's mark up of the Ikea Price, $39.99 from Ikea? that was not what I paid, but they could have dropped in price, I don't know "for sure" what shipping costs are, I do know sometimes shipping is based on distance and can get very expensive, especially over seas orders.

These shelves are the perfect size, there is no overhang of your records either, which supposedly is bad for them over time. meaning there is plenty of depth, the width and height is perfect too.

My concern is the product, not the third party seller as it should be, The Expedit shelf it is a good product that I personally use, just be aware, shop around, double and triple check shipping charges.

These little racks/shelves are perfect for us Vinyl collectors and hold a fair amount of 12" records even with dust sleeves! My review is based only on the fact that this seller is charging too much for this product and I dont want to see anyone get ripped off when they can buy these directly from IKEA for $39.99 (or you can by a 2x4 version for $69.99 from IKEA as well).

I'm not often inclined to write a review for a product, but this one is worthy. I was looking for an attractive storage solution for my 350+ vinyl records and the IKEA Expedit gets it done in spades! Found this unit by scouring the web. It is EXTREMELY well built, strong, durable and attractive. My six year old daughter and I put it together in roughly 15 minutes. All tools are included and no glue is needed. Instructions are even amusing! I honestly believe this shelf would hold an anvil or an engine block with no problem. When it was assembled, both of my kids and myself sat on it just as a test and the unit didn't give AT ALL. It holds my heavy vinyl records with absolutely no problem and it looks great while doing it. The finish is a very durable plastic veneer of some kind, but it looks very much like real ebony. (I ordered the black/brown finish.) The design is hip and contemporary, and it's a perfect compliment to my music room. Can't recommend this product enough. Great job IKEA! Two thumbs up!!! **NOTE you can get it directly from IKEA for $60 + shipping. I'd skip Amazon. (Sorry Amazon, no hard feelings)

I have this item and it is a nice addition to my office furniture. I expanded on the Ikea Expedit 8-Shelf unit & desk. It is really nice. Someone mentioned a hole in their product. I would think there is some faulty equipment in every line of production. If not you wouldn't have irregular items being sold at Ross, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx. Anyway it is a very nice shelving unit and I would recommend it. The only issue I had was not reading the details. When I first purchased this item I bought with the intention of using it with the desk that connects to the 8-piece unit. Well I quickly realized the top was too thick...so I went back & purchased the proper shelf & kept this one. Also, I was disappointed I couldn't add feet like I invisioned...only coasters. Still I'm glad I choose this group. Worked out well for me. At some point I'll buy the baskets for storage. I purchased this directly from Ikea because I live in the Atlanta area. At that time the price was $49, but they tend to go down $10 or so after a few years. Hope this helped in your decision.

This shelving unit is about $28 cheaper if you buy it direct from IKEA. But if you don't have one near you, or don't want to wait the week or so it will take to ship it to you, it is worth the extra money (for me) to get it now.

Easy to put together, took me about 30 minutes, will probably take someone who is very familiar with IKEA's assembly instructions about 15 minutes.

I have around 85 vinyl records, and they will all fit into just one of the cubes. So now I need to start adding to my collection!

I am very happy with this for storing vinyl records upright (you should not store them laying down, you can warp them).

John Louis Home Wire Basket, 24-Inch Wide by 12-Inch Depth

Purchased these to go with two JL closet organizers and JL deluxe towers of shelves for a master bedroom closet. Baskets include all needed hardware to install your choice of two ways, either hanging from an existing shelf, or mounted within a tower designed to hold 24" wide shelves.

Assembled and installed fairly easily. I got two wire baskets, and installed one each way (hanging off the bottom of the tower and one installed inside the tower unit in place of a hard to reach lower shelf). Function is wonderful and I think the whole unit is really attractive when completed.

It took us about a day and a half to install all the components we purchased, but we also had to do a good bit of modification to make the units fit an "L" shaped closet and fit into corners. Baskets by themselves installed in under 30 minutes. Well worth the several thousand dollar savings we achieved by doing it ourselves instead of using the finish carpenter's bid!

You could probably use these with other closet systems by modifying or using other mounting hardware. We did pull out a hacksaw and chop a bit off of two mounting brackets to achieve a better fit in a tight space.

These wire baskets are great if you purchase the canvas sack that goes along with them. They hold a ton of laundry and the glides work really well.

I have a John Louis closet system and tower in my closet, but still used a hamper that took up a good amount of floor space in the middle of the closet. I bought two of the 24x12x20 baskets with the intention of installing one at the bottow of the tower and one at the bottom of the shelves I installed with the system. Installing to the tower was very quick, took maybe 10 minutes to drill and hang the brackets for the basket and it slid right in. The shelves that came with the closet system were about 1 inch too short to install the 2nd basket so I ended up putting the 2nd basket above the 1st. They work great and glide smoothly, I recommend the canvas bags as well.

Poundex Corner Shelf, Cappuccino

Heavy weight shelf for corner of room. Much more robust than you'd think from the Amazon photo. At first, I thought the price was high for a corner shelf. I was wrong. This shelf is very hefty.

The distance between shelves is 13 inches. The distance of the bottom shelf back (corner) to front is 17 inches. The second from bottom is 15 inches, and so on.

I put it together in about 50 minutes with one person (me), not two as recommended in the instructions.

The instructions say to attach it to the wall; it has wall anchor straps and even dry sheetrock wall plastic "hangers". I did not damage my wall with the hardware, I just set it firmly in the corner and it leans back, not front, by design, so it does not appear that it'd fall forward unless some little kid was to try to climb it. I have no little kids here.

Like all shelves, I put the heavier items on the bottom. I have no sense that the shelf will buckle or bend, even if used for books, which is what I am doing in sort of a fan shape on the shelves. It is sturdy enough for books. I recently bought and reviewed a three shelf Ore bookcase Ore International 3 Tier Bookshelves Espresso that costs the same as this corner shelf. Although the Ore will hold more books, this Poundex corner shelf is better made.

The Poundex cherry is red and cherry color (rather than brown cherry, as many spray painted Chinese pieces can be). I do not whiff the lousy cheap shellac smell that ruins much cheap furniture (like the Ore).

I bought the Poundex corner shelf based on the five star Amazon reviews, and now I have added my own. Thanks a bunch.

We had an awful time putting this together. Directions clear as mud. Neither Screws or t nuts would tighten. Pre drilled holes were misalaigned, it takes at least two people to get this together(knees and backs are still smarting.) making this 10 times worse than your standard IKEA assembly. Perhaps we just got dud, as we haven't had trouble with previous assemblies. This piece of garbage is currently "put together" and at least standing. It's going in the basement to hold hold garden tools. Not worth the hassel of packing up and returning. Save your money, buy a better peice of furniture.

I, like others, was impressed by the quality of the wood and design, but the product fell short on assembly. First, I was short four pegs, two wooden caps, and one wood screw. Secondly, a few holes were not pre-drilled all the way through, and four were not drilled at all. I had to triple check that I was assembling the item correctly, but the instructions are easy to follow so I broke out some tools and drilled out the holes. Once assembly is near complete, you have an assembled top and bottom piece. The top nearly aligned perfectly with the bottom, but not quite. You can't tell from the front though. Lastly, a few caps didn't fit snugly over the screw holes, and I had to add a little of the wood glue to each one. All in all, nice looking, but I would not buy again.

My first one was missing one of the leg pieces. This wasn't immediately obvious because it did have four legs -but one of them was an extra part "C" instead of the required part "D". Amazon overnighted a replacement unit and that one was okay. Both of them were missing the washers listed in the instructions, but you only need those if you're anchoring it to the wall and they should be easy to get at a hardware store.

Note that the assembly involves glue (included), so once it's together it doesn't come apart.

The part identification stickers do not peel off cleanly, so you might want to have some sort of adhesive remover handy.

I was able to put it together by myself, I think in less than an hour. It can be a bit awkward to get the first bolts in place so an extra pair of hands would probably help. I didn't have any problem with misaligned holes. The peg holes in the shelves were much tighter than the ones in the legs, and that was the same in both units so it's probably by design.

The undersides of the shelves are not finished as nicely as the tops, so if you're putting this somewhere that people can see it from below, such as on a staircase landing, that might be a concern.

Overall, once it's together it's a pretty nice shelf. It looks good and it's very sturdy.

I just put the bookcase together today and it was so easy! The side panels are heavy and sturdy, as are the shelves. The back panel is cardboard but I believe it will hold up well. Also, none of the hardware was missing and the entire package was well packed and protected. This bookcase is a great value-sturdy, stylish and fairly priced! Fun tip: Cover the cardboard panel with fabric before nailing it on, it looks really nice.

Not much to say.. materials are solid and heavy enough to reassure you of that. Looks very nice when put together. Can be assembled pretty quickly, unless you're meticulous and slow like me because you don't want to make any mistakes (if you mess up and have to undo and redo something, it'll never be as solid and tight again!). Moving as slow as I did, I still managed to install the middle shelf upside down without noticing until I was finished. Assembly itself isn't hard at all and will go as quickly as you're willing to make it. Directions are very good, only need basic tools (hammer, screwdriver). Packaged VERY well, with extra cardboard padding around the four corners and wrapped like CRAZY with clear packaging tape. Arrived in perfect condition, even with the exterior of the cardboard looking a bit roughed up. Got this along with the matching TV stand and they look great together.

Montego 2 shelf Bookcase

I bought this to replace my cheap laminate particle board bookcases. This solid wood construction seems to be holding up a lot better than the cheap kind, and it looks great!

I recently took on the project of sprucing up my daughter's very small bedroom a little. I needed something that was not too big, not too small, white, and affordable to put her 24" TV, a fairly large boombox (my old one) and other various items on. After searching multiple options (bookcases, console tables, TV stands, etc.), I decided on this based on the combination of its design, dimensions, color and price. I honestly don't think I could be happier with my choice! This bookcase not only met all my criteria, but exceeded my expectations.

This was pretty easy to assemble. It looks GREAT and fits PERFECTLY in my daughter's room. It was just right for our needs (and limited space). It's made of real wood, yet it's priced comparably to other items of lesser quality.

One bit of advice I could give is once you've assembled it, check its stability. If it seems a little wobbly, check all the assembled areas for tiny gaps. As we were assembling the bookshelf, the screws felt like they were tight. Once we were done, we noticed a few needed some additional tightening. This took care of the "wobblies" Seems like it will be pretty sturdy for a while now.

This was the size I was searching for, decent quality, good price. Unfortunately it came w/o the hardware or instructions. Customer service did answer the phone and promptly emailed the instructions but what good do instructions do w/o the parts? I was told the connecting hardware might take 3 5 days but I asked if it could come sooner. The customer service rep said "I am supposed to say 3 5 days but it might only be one or two days." It took 5 days. I would have expected them to express ship/mail the parts since I expressed interest in getting them sooner.

These are a real bargain, and you can mount them inside your cupboard doors too. Come with mounting hardware. I think I got them direct from mfr. but would go through Amazon in future.

Each holds 6 regular spice bottles. When mounting them, leave enough space above to allow for getting the spice bottles out easily.

finally I got all my spice bottles out of my crammed cupboard and onto the doors where I can see them. Easy to install and nice because you can put them at any height to fit with your shelves. Great value too.

I bought these indending to use them, but installed the sticky back clip spice holders instead. I'm not a fan of putting holes in cupboards, especially not cheap cupboards like I have. If I had higher quality cupboards, I would buy a higher quality door spice rack.

This a great solution for keeping magazines organized and out of the way. The predrilled holes weren't accurately aligned, so plan on using your corded / cordless drill to complete assembly.

This unit is attractive and fits well into just about any room or office space, without giving it that "closed in" feeling. It solved my bathroom storage needs. As a graduate student in an apartment at Denver, CO, I needed a piece to keep all my large reference and personal books that was sturdy enough to handle large text (like my unabridged collection of 7 works by Herman Melville, author of Moby Dick), but at the same time, I needed something that wouldn't take up all of my valuable space. This shelf easily does both. Each actual level probably holds at least 20-30 pounds of reading material, but the entire piece leaves only about a 1' x 2' footprint. I've since added a large heavy glass filled with change, plus several other knickknacks for a personal touch, and have yet to see any compromises in the structural integrity, so its function is spot on. As far as fashion is concerned, the simple design makes it hard to go wrong when using the shelf in just about any bedroom or office. The only possible downside I saw with this piece was during assembly, when the holes for the screws didn't quite line up. No problem though, the screws provided are sharp enough that you can just use makeshift holes and have the shelf totally assembled in about 5 minutes with only a screwdriver. All in all, a very nice product for someone with lots to store/display, but not much room to do so.

Madison Avenue Double Floor Cabinet

Even after all the reviews, I decided to take a chance on this shelving unit. I thought...how difficult could it be?

I've put together A LOT of this type of furniture and when this arrived, it was no different. For a first timer, maybe I could see how it would be hard to understand the directions. But I thought it was very easy to put together....my 9 year-old helped me.

When it was finished I did notice a couple of small defects. There's a small scrape or something on the front at the top that shows the bare wood underneath. Since it's just under the lip of the top, I wasn't too concerned you have to be sitting right in front of it at eye level to see it. The most noticable thing is that the doors aren't aligned. The right side rubs at the top and the left side rubs at the bottom which creates a gap between the doors. Again, nothing major, but I had my handy husband realign the hinges.

All in all, a good deal on a shelving unit. I don't know how long it will last since most things made these days don't last very long anyway. I wouldn't recommend putting something really heavy on it, like a TV only because I don't know how sturdy it is. We have it in our bathroom.

This is a nice cabinet for the bathroom. My husband put it together in about 45 minutes. The dowels that came with the unit are a little small for the holes, so he slathered wood glue in the dowel holes to make them more stable. (He's a wood-worker, so he knows these tricks). The unit had no manufacturing or paint odor at all. For the price of the unit, it is very nice. The backing is not wood, but particle wood-fiber board material but that is fine it is against the wall and not seen. Besides, who wants to cram the unit so full of stuff that it is bursting from the seams? The unit came with a small strap to secure it to the wall but this is not needed, it is very stable. Overall it is a good buy.

The piece, completed, looks good. However, it was difficult to assemble, and the instructions were inadequate almost to the point of being useless. For one thing, they say nothing about positioning pieces to begin the assembly. I had to work out for myself how to lay individual pieces in order to begin putting them together. Also, glue gave out when I first tried to lift the piece onto its feet to continue assembly. The piece came apart and I had to start over. Had to buy a better glue.

Doubt very much I'd buy it again, simply because of the difficulty of getting it together.

First off, this beautiful and sturdy piece arrived 4 days ahead of schedule. I was quite pleased to find it on my doorstep when I got home from work yesterday.

Secondly, I really don't understand all the complaints about how difficult it was to put together and how flimsy and unsteady the piece was.

If you have ever put a piece of furniture together, this is no different and no more difficult. It's not brain surgery people. Just follow the directions.

All pieces and hardware were well labeled and the directions, although did not contain step by step narratives, were easy to follow along with.

As for the reviews from people saying how unstable and shaky the product was, perhaps they need to tighten up some of the hardware. It is also very important to attach the stabilizing braces to the back of the piece once completely assembled.

I am thrilled with this beautiful piece and am using it in my master bath to hold towels, tissue, etc.. So glad I did not listen to all the negative reviews!

I received my cabinet 2 days earlier than quoted (nice surprise). The cabinet was packaged very well, no broken parts or nicks in the wood. It went together very easily, however the instructions are a little vague, but having assembled furniture similar to this in the past it was no big problem. Had it together in about 15 to 20 minutes. We placed it in our bathroom for extra storage of towels, wash clothes etc. and it fit perfectly in the space where we wanted to put it.
