Very happy with these bags, and will buy more soon. They are large enough for 2 or 3 Merino or cashmere sweaters, or 2 heavier gauge knits. The zippers are sturdy, and the canvas ensures that the clothing can breathe. Beware, though, that not all insects are repelled by this type of bag, although I like them enough to use them anyway. You're safe from moths but carpet beetles are fairly omniverous and will eat through any fabric (even leather or suede) if hungry enough. A lesson we learned after hundreds of dollars of damage.

I purchased this product because I wanted a storage item that is cotton (=breathable) to store my wool and cashmere sweaters/scarfs. This bag has a zipper that goes around the top (both size and front) so it opens widely, which makes it easy for you to store items. The cotton canvas is breathable, light and good size. I have 4 of these bags and stored my items with lavender sachets. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Note that if you are looking for a container with firm structure, this is not the right one for you as this is a Sweater "Bag", not a Box.

These storage bags are what I was looking for, but there are a few things worth mentioning. The hard plastic boxes don't fit under my bed, so I had to get these soft ones. That being said, because the bottom is canvas, it does not slide at all on carpet, so I have to turn them over on the clear plastic side to get them under the bed. They are a bit floppy with all the clothes in them, but I am happy to be able to keep my winter clothes under the bed this summer. So far, the product seems to be ok quality-wise. The zippers are pretty small, so you can't treat it roughly, but under normal use, it should be fine.

This is a good sweater bag and a great price for two! I like them so much I will order another pack. They each fit two normal sweaters--maybe only one a bag if you have super bulky sweaters.

I'm an "organization" nut so I bought these to use for my sheets. It doesn't matter now if they're perfectly folded or not. I put them in a pile and slip out the bag from the bottom. The clean ones get piled on top and these bags also allow me to see the colors. I've also used some for actual sweaters. Pefect for my purpose. Would buy again if needed. Good quality.

This review is to let potential buyers know that this product has changed from its original design, and yet at the time of this review neither the picture, nor the Product Features, nor the Amazon.com review have been updated to reflect the change.

I bought one of these in Dec. 2004 and it is exactly as pictured with canvas shelves. When you feel the shelves, you can tell that they have hardboard sandwiched between them making a durable surface that does not sag. I just purchased a second one and opened it today (May 2008) and while the top is still canvas-covered hardboard, the shelves are now plastic.

I came back here to see if I'd accidentally ordered a cheaper version, but the model number is the same. Whitney has indeed changed their design, and to be fair I see now that if you scroll all the way down to the Product Description under the Amazon.com review, it's been updated to "6 Shelf, Sweater Organizer With Plastic Shelves...". But keeping the original picture and Product Features, which only show and mention canvas, is highly misleading.

I tested out the plastic shelves and they do not compare to the original that I own which is still going strong (no sagging). Plus of course, it doesn't match. I will be returning this. Hope this helps others make a more informed buying decision.

This closet organizer is wonderful! It's really sturdy and attaches with strong velcro. I have a huge collection of jeans and t-shirts that are all really easy to find now. They are not strong enough to hold 6 full shelves of jeans, so I have 3 shelves of jeans on the bottom and 3 shelves of t-shirts on top. I got 2 of these becase they are really compact and about 1/4 the price of any others that I found. Plus the free shipping makes these a must have for any cluttered closet.

I love this product in terms of its space saving value. However, I was a bit disappointed that the overall construction of the product wasn't as sturdy as I had expected. When I placed the sweaters in the various compartments, the whole frame sagged under the weight and the top of the first shelf arched out of shape. I ended up using the product for lighter items like T-shirts and scarves.

I purchased these because of all the wonderful reviews it received on Amazon. While they are alright, I didn't find them all that extraordinary. I wish the "shelves" were sturdier and I wish that the velcro was wider so that it wraps tightly around the rods in my closet. Since they're not tight around the rod, they tend to swing back and forth and that bothers me. I guess I'll have to buy some velcro and adjust it myself. All in all it is a good product, it's handy and cheaper than others. I would not purchase them again though.

This organizer is the perfect addition to my closet. I use it to hold sweaters, T-shirts, and pants. I used to store these items on the shelf of my closet; so this organizer has freed up that space for other items.

The shelves are made of thin, firm plastic; so they hardly sag under the weight of the clothes. Some hanging organizers have canvas shelves, which don't support the clothes nearly as well.

This is the next size from the two that come with the stand, the bigger one. But with a 46" LCD there's just enough space on the leg of the stand to space all the shelves out usefully. Unless you have a couple of Tivos, a set-top box, a DVD player, a center channel speaker and a game console you may find the standard shelves sufficient.

Just one word of advice, get the stand close to where you want it before you load up all the shelves. It's very hard to move once it is full of gear.

I knew going in Pine does not accept stain great but there is so much wood filler and glue alll over this thing that you do not see when it is unfinished. This beautiful mantel shelf has totally transformed what I previously thought was an ugly fireplace. I almost didn't buy the house because of it. I was hesitant to buy a shelf online, but trusted Amazon, so I went ahead with the purchase. It is easy to install, only taking about 30 minutes once you decide where to hang it, and is very sturdy. I received my mantle in great condition. I opened the box and was in awe. I ordered the already stained rustic and for my application, it is amazing. I have to say for my application, if I were to have used only the shelf hanger it would have been very easy install. I chose to use the hanger and the corbels which I had to modify. I love the result though. The corbels in my opinion make the mantle come to life. Be advised it is NOT a solid block of wood. It is a hollow frame of thick pine. I can't be positive but I thought the description said"solid".

I would buy this again. Huge improvement from what the house had.

We love our new mantle! We got the unfinished one, then used American Walnut from Lowes and it looks amazing. It was very easy to stain and easy to install. It adds so much to our fireplace. We did not use the corbels since ours was going on above our slate surround and they line up flush with the back of the mantel and the tiles were about 1/4" thick.

I bought 2 of these units from Home Depot for my garage.

Pros:

1. Super easy to set-up (requires a rubber mallet but nothing else). One person assembly, took all of 15 minutes from start to finish. A 12 y/o could put these together no problem.

2. Incredibly stable w/ a rated weight limit of 4,000 lbs overall. (Other units really don't compare as they can only support 50 150lbs on average per shelf).

3. They easily hold 12 and/or 13 gallon storage bins between the shelves and they are adjustable for larger items.

4. Can be used as a workbench instead. The shelves can be split into two sections and placed side by side (2 shelves on one, 3 on the other)... using the top shelves as a workbench space. So basically you don't have to make it 72" tall, each can be 36" tall instead.

5. Can be drilled into studs for safety and support. No need to make a hole, just use the ones already created for the shelving. Recommend 1 3/4" screws with flat washers or anchor/screw kits that can support the weight.

6. They look really good!

Cons:

1. Price I bought these for $66from Home Depot (everyday price, not on sale). However, if you don't live near a local store I would still say these are worth the higher price as they are far superior than other shelving units out there.

2. Plastic feet provided, but they don't have levelers. The little feet are good for not scratching up the concrete/flooring, but they would be better if they leveled out the unit. I didn't see this as a huge problem though. I placed some cardboard under the one corner and managed to make it pretty stable.

As an added tip, if you want these to have more of a cabinet look/feel (for keeping out dust, etc.).. you could do what I did. I covered them in heavy duty plastic sheeting (large roll) and used a construction-style zipper kit for both units... basically creating a zipper in the front to open/close the plastic. They sell the zipwall kits on here (2-pack for $6 $16 depending on style/brand. I chose the ZipWall HDAZ2 Heavy Duty Zipper Kit, 2-Pack sold here...and they worked fantastic and even came with the cutting knife). Plastic roll sheeting is easy to obtain for fairly cheap as well (Go large 10'+ for width..otherwise you'll be doing a lot of taping pieces together and more work than you should). By doing this you can now protect your shelved items and with a fraction of the cost that a storage shed-type structure would run you. Not to mention the pre-made sheds cannot support nearly the same amount of weight that these can. I'm female and assembled *both* units with the plastic wall kits and drilled them into the studs for stability... in about an hour.

It works great and looks great if done right. I suggest you get some wood sticks about 2' long... and secure them to each of the 4 corners on the top shelf (I used braces and drilled it into the wood sticks for stability). This way you can extend the plastic sheeting up over the sticks (as opposed to just the top shelf). It then allows you a couple of feet clearance for storing things on the top without any issues that the plastic will fall, etc.

Also, I want to add .... people are complaining they don't think this can support 4,000 lbs. I admit I have not tested that yet... however I am storing 1000 lbs easily on these and with zero issues. Place 200-300 pounds on the bottom shelf first and you will find the unit becomes very stable. (I loaded the bottom with 24 can cases of formula I use), stacked about 12 cases total. Make sure you level out the feet as well with wood or cardboard for added stability!

This shelving unit is great, I own a bath product business and needed a drying rack & somewhere safe for my things to sit on. You don't need any type of tools, but it was rather difficult assembling and locking the shelves into place. Be sure to have them all locked into place before continuing onto the next level. I plan on getting another shelf like this, does its job very well! Other then the fact of it being slightly difficult locking into place, all it needs it some elbow grease! Didn't take long to put together either! I will purchase again in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to put together and how solid it was. You just need a malot or hammer to fully lock each shelf down. If using a hammer I recommend using a small towel as well so as to not mar the finish. If I had room enough I would get another one. Definitely would recommend.

I rate the shelving with four (4) stars because:

1) The particle board shelves got bang'd a bit before they got to me. Not really bad; however, they should have been protected.

2) Wow, how much can I say about the stink/smell emitted by the particle board. I am using them in a basement. My first attempt was to use them as is. Can't -the smell is way to offensive. I have had to wrap the particle board shelving in large garbage bags to stop the smell (caused headache). That seems to have worked. I may try sealing the shelving at some later date when I learn what paint will work.

3) Why not return them? The shelves are the best buy (price); the right size; have the load bearing; and have the rigidity that I want and need. All the other shelving I have considered lacks rigidity (they twist and wobble); won't hold the weight; and do not have the quality of materials that these shelves have.

4) Assembly is easy. I noticed in one review that there was an issue with bending pieces. I did not find this to be the case. The materials used by the manufacturer and the ease of assembly was the reason I purchased additional units (four shelving units to be exact).

5) I would recommend wearing "leather-palm" work-gloves to prevent metal cuts. A rubber mallet or a piece of wood 2x4 about one foot long will help in "properly" seating the pieces.

I needed more space for storage than provided by the shelves. I knew this before I ordered them. I ran boards from the end of one shelving unit to the end of a second unit. Then I put a sheet of plywood on top and have gotten more shelving space and different (larger) spacing between shelving.

Since the shelves are metal, and they are in a basement on concrete, I put, before loading the shelves, wood strips under the legs.

I believe that these shelves are an excellent buy at the price I paid for the quality I received!

The shelves are as described except the dimensions are woefully off. Each individual shelf is 36" wide X 18" deep. The total unit assembled is indeed approximately 57" high. The extra size kills my ability to set them in the space I had planned out. Otherwise they seem sturdy, and at least the package I opened didn't seem to have damage on any of the parts.

I bought 4 of these. They all mounted easily enough and looked great. They were shipped well and I had no damaged ones. The only issue was the anchors that came with the shelves. If you're going into plaster, stay away from the factory provided anchors and screws. I ran up to my local Home Depot and bought some heavy duty anchors made just for plaster. Did the trick. No problems. The issue with the ones provided was that any amount of weight on the shelf they would immediately start to lean. The anchors provided didn't even open up, I discovered after pulling them back out. Great shelf, looks amazing but do the right thing and buy separate anchors. Save yourself some time.

When I got the first 6 shelves I was disappointed because 3 were damaged under the plastic like it happened before shipping and we were missing 2 hardware packets but they were great about sending me 3 new shelves. Other than having to wait I was happy.

Easy Track 4-to-8-Feet Deluxe Closet Starter Kit

I have purchased and installed dozens of Easy Track and other brands' closet systems and accessories over the past 18 years. Easy Track is by far my favorite and what I have chosen to use in my own closets. Great quality, reasonable pricing and unmatched versatility. As a matter of fact, the reason I saw this item is because I am shopping for components to re-configure my existing closet design...try easily doing that with wire or any other systems!

Product quality and durability is unsurpassed. I imagine Easy Track doesn't appreciate it that I have many components from my original closet installation 18 years ago, in my current closet. They do not wear out!

With regards to the quality of the instructions, yes, the instructions used to be much more helpful and clear. The Easy Track system parent company has changed ownership over the years and whoever they have had edit the currently supplied directions apparently does not communicate well with others.

Remember these few points:

1.) Do not worry about having to do math like they say in the instructions. MOUNT THE TRACK 76" FROM THE FLOOR. This works well for users 4' 10" and up.

2.) Invest in a stud finder. Even the cheap electronic ones work well for this. Try to put two screws in every stud if possible. Rarely have I had to use toggles and even then, if you mark and drill the toggle holes centered behind a hole in the track, no problems!

3.) Put the vertical panels and shelves wherever you want! It's a personalized closet system! It can be changed if you don't like it.

4.) For additional stability when you have the system installed how you like it, pre-drill 1/8" holes in the bottom of the rod holders and rods with any hand held drill and install small set screws to hold the rods in place. This is NOT necessary if you measured right and the system is installed SNUGGLY between two walls but I recommend it.

5.) I always install one full length shelf which has to be purchased separately and is not available from Easy Track, along the top of the system. Put a few screws through the shelf into the tops of the vertical panels and this makes the installation even more stable.

Bottom line is anyone with ambition and minimal skills can install Easy Track closet systems like a pro! You will be surprised how great you will feel when your closet is organized exactly how you wanted it to be and you did all the work yourself!

I never had a closet organizer before, just a plain rod right across the top. I started looking at the different ones there were and am so greatful I chose this one. The price is steep, but its totally worth it. Ive had the closet for a month and it is very sturdy, I have about 100 pieces of clothing hanging and shoes, bags and more on the shelves.

I am very pleased with this purchase. Upon opening the package, I did notice that 3 of the 4 vertical panels had minor damage. Some of the smooth white finish had come off on some of the edges/corners. The unit still works as described and the clothes hide the damage.

I am 5'2" female and installed this by myself. As a whole, it was relatively hard to do alone and I recommend having a helper! The center shelving unit in the picture is built on the ground, then picked up, and hung on the Easy Track. This was EXTREMELY difficult to do by myself, but still doable....very heavy!

I decided to put my shelving unit to one side of the closet instead of having my clothing racks split on the left and right of shelves. I hung the Easy Track at the recommended height and can barely reach clothes hung on the top rod. This, however, was not a problem because my husband was given the top rack and I have taken the bottom! Surprisingly, even my thigh length coats and short dresses don't touch the ground when hung from the bottom rack! I have filled up every last inch of the clothing rods and it is still very strong.

The only thing I felt this closet organizer was missing was a top shelf! I went to my local hardware store and found the exact same material, had it cut to the width of the closet, bought some shelf brackets, and installed the shelf! It rests on top of this organizer's vertical panels, is reinforced by the shelf brackets (which are invisible due to the clothes hanging in front) and it looks like it came with the organizer!!!!!!!

This closet system is pretty good quality and easy to mount. I had it assembled on the wall within a few hours of receiving it. The instructions give an optional step of screwing the hanger rails into their mounts and to the vertical boards. In my opinion this in not optional it's necessary. The sides are too wobbly without this step.

The description says "overwrapped in a UPS shippable box". When I received it the pieces were falling out of the box, which is to flimsy for the weight of these particle boards. Fortunately there wasn't much damage, just a few chips here and there.

I love this rack for many reasons, but foremost is it holds two dozen 750ml bottles in a tight space. In fact, the 'footprint' is less than two and a half feet by less than one and a half feet. Perfect for cramped quarters.

Assembly was a breeze. I did not have to refer to the instructions, and everything fit perfectly which indicates to me a high degree of manufacturing quality. One thing I did before assembling was to check that every piece mated properly and that nothing was broken. Once I was satisfied that I did not need to return it I wiped each component down with Old English Lemon Oil. This added step was well worth it because instead of a merely functional wine rack I now have an attractive piece of furniture.

Another thing I love about this rack is it's rock steady. In fact, the more bottles you store, the steadier it becomes. Of course the small table top is a plus I have a Chicago Cutlery 8-Piece Wine and Cheese Knife Set and coasters stored on the top.

Having heard about problems with some brands of stemware fitting the slots under the table top I was concerned, but I guess it's more of a problem with high end stems. I populated mine with Libbey brand with no problems.

For the price you cannot beat this for both beauty and function. Do be aware that some 1.5 liter (and larger) bottles will not fit properly in the rack, but if you mostly buy wines in 750ml bottles you will probably love this as much as I do.

The final product is okay. The assembly directions were very poor. Plus one of the screw holes was stripped so I'm not too certain about the unit's stability at full capacity. Also, the slots for hanging stemmed wine glasses were very small and all different sizes. Most of our wine glasses will not fit.

We wanted an island that was going to give us a lot of space and look nice and finished. This was the island we thought could get the job done. So far it is very nice. We have had a few issues with it, but my handy hubbie was able to fix them without a huge headache.the Pros: I love the color of the island. We get lots of compliments on how sleek it looks. it fits a LOT. We have two junk drawers that fit most of our utensils (and we have a lot because we bake a lot), the two other drawers fit a lot fo our ackward items like french fry press, hamburger press, juicer etc, with nice deep drawers. We also keep all of our baking dishes in them and they fit nicely. The deeper cabinet holds a lot of appliance. We currently have a bullet, waffle maker, rice maker, yogurt maker, panini press, hand mixer and a Forman in them. We keep the extension up and use it as a breakfast bar, but the legs are very easy to work (our two year old pushes them in by himself) so it is not a problem to push them back and forth.

Cons: it was easy to put together, but the handles were kind of crappy. My husband had to put different screws in to get them to be tight against the drawer. This was not a big deal, but for those that want no extra work this is a minus. The top two drawers also stick sometimes, which again, is not a big deal for us, but for someone else they may be.

Overall we love this island and would buy it again.

Though not the cheapest, this Aspen Kitchen Island was the nicest looking island around and the color was perfect. Seeing no other reviews for it, I decided to take a chance and order it not knowing what to expect. It arrived in a timely manner in 3 huge boxes, and I was more than a bit intimidated at first. However the instructions were perfect, everything was in perfect shape and labled correctly, and it didn't take me long at all to assemble. It's beautiful, it's huge, the storage is fantastic, the drawers, the cupboard, the sliding legs, the counter topeverything is top quality and works perfectly, and I don't have anything negative to say about it. If you're looking for an awsome island and this one is available (sometimes it's not) don't think, just buy. You'll thank me later.
