This is the next size from the two that come with the stand, the bigger one. But with a 46" LCD there's just enough space on the leg of the stand to space all the shelves out usefully. Unless you have a couple of Tivos, a set-top box, a DVD player, a center channel speaker and a game console you may find the standard shelves sufficient.

Just one word of advice, get the stand close to where you want it before you load up all the shelves. It's very hard to move once it is full of gear.

The wood is too soft, and need to drill hole (should be pre-drilled for easy DYI). We spent too much time make measurements and drill holes.

These were just like the ones from the Closet System Kit that I purchased. I am not sure what holes the other reviewer had to drill? They come pre-drilled with 3" long screws and screw hole caps. I just set the top/front end under the shelf I was adding the support to and then put the screw into the pre-drilled hole to mark the location on the wall. Then I removed the bracket and installed the self-drilling drywall anchor where the screw tip mark was. Lastly I re-positioned the angled bracket and installed the screw. I did have to get a 3" long #2 philips bit for my drill because the screw head will end up recessed into the predrilled hole by a couple of inches. A 2" long bit will probably work just fine too. The screw cap finished it off to conceal the screw. Everything took 5 minutes max per bracket. 2 came in the pack.

This shower caddy is certainly the best I have ever seen. The joints are smooth and everything seems to be put together very well. I hope the stainless steel proves more resistant to rust than my previous caddy, which was chrome plated.

Good as it is, there are a couple of problems. If you have a detachable shower head with a hose (as I do), the arched rail across the top tier of this caddy gets in the way. I rerouted the hose through the caddy as a workaround, but to some extent a conflict remains. Also, the caddy came with two suction cups for stability. One of the cups works very well, while the other does not work at all. Don't know why there should be a difference, as both are on smooth tile surfaces and both look the same, but there it is.

Follow-up. After six months of daily use with no maintenance apart from an occasional wipedown, this stainless shower caddy does not have a speck of rust. So far, so good.

Product appears to be real stainless steel, which should prevent it from rusting like every other caddy I have owned. The design is off in my opinion. Many newer homes have large shower heads. This does not accomodate well as the shower head actually sprayed on the fron rail of the top shelf. I had to order a 10" shower arm (6" are generally standard) to eliminate the issue.

Additionally, slick tile surfaces are rare, which means the suction cups do not work on tiles (aka. rough surface texture) in newer homes.

This is a nice quality and heavy gauge stainless steel unit. The shelves are a great size and deep enough so if you bump it the shampoo bottle don't fall out. Comes with two suction cups to keep it from swinging. All in all I would recommend this caddy.

This caddy is made out of three sizes of wire / thin rod, plus a few decorative strips and a couple of balls covering what would otherwise be the exposed ends of the main rods. The thinnest wire is pretty thick (maybe 12 gauge?) and the heavier rods seem more than adequate to supporting whatever you might want to hang under your shower head. The welds look good. Overall, this product seems like it will last for many years.

It's well laid out, and while the slight arches to the decorative strips are sort of unnecessary and a design element that probably doesn't match anything else in your bathroom they're not obnoxious.

Overall, the only really negative thing about this caddy is that (in my shower, at least) the arch on the top strip gets in the way of the bottom of the shower stream when the head is aimed as far down as it will go. This doesn't seem to splash any water out of the stall, but it does tend to splash a bit farther from the valve wall than the shower would otherwise, making it harder to avoid the initial cold water.

I am very impressed with the shower caddy I received! When I opened it, I appreciated that it wasn't as heavy as other caddies I've purchased before! In addition to that, I liked that it came with the suction pieces. I am a product junkie and have various shampoos, conditioners and other body products that I need on hand during a shower. I purchased this cabinet (one of two different configuration cabinets) for my guest bedroom. For the price the Winsome 3 Tier Cabinet is great. The only thing I was unhappy about was that the backing board for the cabinet came in three pieces and was held together by two plastic tracks. I wanted to use the cabinet without baskets in the top shelf, but it looks unfinished.

Looks nice. Really looks nice for the price. Not a "high dollar" finish as some comment, but for the price it will certainly do. Be advised though that the baskets are not so large. I purchased to store 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper and they won't lay flat in the baskets. That being said though, I'm keeping it. I'll get something else for the papers and I'm sure we'll find other things to store in the baskets. Just check the size of the individual baskets.

I got this and saw it was made of particle board, so I sent it back. If you want cheap junk, buy this. Just know what you are getting. They try to use fancy words like "Engineered Wood," but make no mistake that what you will get is particle board with a black plastic coating. That's not what I wanted, so I sent it back. Also, a particle board tv stand has no business costing $230.

I read the reviews on this great-looking TV stand before I ordered it, and was aware that it was made from particle board, but I bought it anyway hoping that my experience would be more in line with the positive reviews. The heavily-braced box arrived today with no signs of distress to the packaging. I began assembly with extreme care, using hand tools to tighten the screws lest I strip anything, but the first time I picked up the perforated back board the vertical piece with holes in it for cords to pass through it simply snapped into two pieces. It broke across one of the hole cutouts, into two pieces. Imagine my dismay, assembling this stand at 11 PM on Dec 23rd, after having junked our old stand in today's trash. I'll ask the manufacturer for another piece to replace this one, but I'm quite leery about placing a $1000 flat panel on top of this incredibly cheap stand. Don't let the $269 price and nifty appearance fool you, this unit is probably worth about one-fifth of that. The lacquer finish is also partially delaminated and peeling away from the main back board, just icing on the cake!

While the Sonax stand looks very nice, we quickly discovered a huge drawback. We have a Vizio tv and cannot access the av plugs on the back of the tv once it is mounted. This means we cannot switch the cables to use a different video game system (have the Wii set up, but our daughter has a Smart Cycle and V-Smile game system) without removing the tv. HUGE hassle and so disappointing.

Another reviewer noted the lack of cable organization, which is also a drawback.

I normally like fully enclosed type TV stands but in this case I wanted to put it in a corner and save space so I bought this one. It took me about 2 hours to put it together and mount the TV. It all went together fairly easily but some of the pictorials could have been better. There is almost no verbiage in the directions, just all pictorials. There is at least one pictorial that should have been separated into two for clarity. The pictorials for mounting the brackets to the TV are lacking detail as well. Another con is that there is no wire management hole on the very bottom wood shelf. There was a small chip in the black laminate on a visible part of the inside frame on mine when I received it but I touched it up with a black felt pen and it looks fine.

Now that I have it all set up, it looks great. There were no missing parts. I still really don't like how the back is exposed so that I can see my white wall to the left and right of the center wire management board. I may staple some black felt on the backside to cover this but I haven't decided yet. Overall, the stand is of good quality. The assembly directions were not terrible but not great. All the parts were there for the build of the pedestal with one extra roller for the swivel base. They included plenty of different size screws, spacers, and washer to mount any TV! You will have extra TV mounting parts! And last but not least, the TV height is adjustable depending on what holes you use to mount it, plus or minus 5 inches.

I struggled with rating this with 4 stars. I would rate this with a 3.5 star rating if I could but rated it 4 stars as I don't think it deserves a lower 3 star rating.

The Rev-A-Shelf spice rack is functional. It has four shelves, the bottom one wider than the other three, and it was easy to install. A word of caution, however. I ordered it to place in the door of a wall mounted cabinet, and when looking at it I felt certain it would fit between the shelves with little problem. But when I was visualizing that fit, I failed to consider how it would be with spices in it. The cabinet shelves came too close to the cabinet door and there wasn't enough room for the spice rack when it was full. A floor corner cabinet ended up working out great as the cabinet shelves were further back from the door. Shipping was timely.

We had a fairly narrow cabinet that all of our spices were just thrown into. We already owned all the spice jars, so we did not need or want the racks that are usually out there that come with pre-labeled bottles. The mounted to the door easily enough and does it's job of holding jars of spices. As with any after-market product, getting it to line up perfectly with the shelves in the cabinet so that the jars fit on and don't keep the cabinet from closing by banging into the shelves is a challenge. Some of the jars can't be used on this because they are too tall and there's no way to fit them in between the shelf openings.

i have purchased many items from sauder in the past... in fact i have a cabinet just like this one that i bought about five years ago... it is a really well made cabinet... this one is not well made however... the package arrived in good shape but the cabinet inside had numerous scratches and chips...and i was suprised that the handles are made of plastic... i have bought many desks and cabinets from sauder in the past and have taken them apart and put them back together again... this one however would never stand a move.. many of the screws just did not tighten up.. its like they were all stripped.. there must be different grades of engineered wood... my other sauder products even though they are also engineered wood are solid and hold the screws well.... this one however seems to be much softer wood.... I bought this storage cabinet because we have way too many cleaning products and we also like to buy in bulk. I got tired of looking at my kitchen full of bottles everywhere and had no counter space. It took me an hour and half to put this together. I have this in my livingroom because my kitchen is way too tiny. So, the fact that this is in black makes this fit in the livingroom perfectly.It really doesn't look like a typical pantry even though that's what I use it for. I was even able to store all of my stock of vitamins, shampoos, conditioners and a 30 pack of toilet paper.(Yes, I'm a pack rat.) I used to buy very expensive furniture, but with having kids, I got tired of furniture being damaged and having to replace it. This product is inexpensive and does the job well. Plus I was able to do it by myself. I had to lift the doors up with my foot to be able to attach the hinges, and the directions were simple. I only used a screw driver and a hammer. The box it came in was very heavy. So I had to open it and remove it piece by piece. I think this would look great in an office for paperwork or supplies or even in a bedroom to place folded clothes.

This was a really good purchase. After getting one, I purchased another. It was fairly easy to put together. Like another reviewer though, a couple of the pieces of wood were chipped but it can easily be fixed with a little black paint but it's hardly noticeable so I didn't bother. If taken care of properly, it should last many years. It makes a good pantry and can hold a lot.

It's a little difficult to put together but it has step by step directions. It's rather heavy. But once it's full it stays in place and it doesn't move. I really like it because it has several different sections to put things and the shelves are adjustable. I'm very happy with it. If I had more room in the house, I would get another one. KV Light Duty Shelf Bracket 8" Anochrome

I have had four solid ash shelves filled with textbooks resting on these brackets for perhaps a decade with no sign of failure. Attached to three standards screwed into the studs of an outside wall on 16" centers, they have performed admirably. These replaced similar "light duty" brackets that are now in use in another room that supported similar weights for most of my adult life. Unless you plan on storing something extremely heavy on the shelves, I cannot see any reason to go for anything more substantial.

Note: these are a full 8" rather than the 7-7/8" (20cm) of some similar products, in case you plan on using them with laminated shelves that are exactly 8".

This unit comfortably holds 364 standard DVDs, or 392 if you really pack them in (see below for more details). Comfortably, 26 per shelf and 7 shelves counting the base (7 shelves per half X 2 halves X 26 DVDs per shelf = 364 per unit).

I purchased two of these units to house my fairly large DVD collection after seeing the generally positive reviews. While I am not UNhappy with this product, neither am I particularly happy.

Unlike some other folks who mentioned damage during shipping, both units arrived in good condition despite visible boot prints on the packaging. A couple of shelves had nicks but they give you a black marker and I was just able to turn the shelf around to hide the imperfection. One piece had a big glob of sticky glue-like substance which came off but required cleaning. There was a lot of sawdust inside.

Although the package was fairly heavy (about 70 pounds) and almost 6 feet tall, it wasn't overly wide or unwieldy so I was able to move it by myself.

The laminate finish is about what you would expect from pressed-wood shelving. Basic, but pretty much matched my black entertainment center which I bought from Wal Mart 5 years ago. As someone else noted, the underside of the shelves are NOT finished, which is unfortunate since the units are fairly tall. Depending on what you have on the shelves, the undersides are visible if you are seated. A little black stain from the hardware store would easily fix this problem if it annoyed you enough.

Assembly was easy enough despite the fact that the written instructions were not entirely correct. They say you need a flat head screwdriver; you don't (just a hammer and a Phillips). They say a power drill will speed up assembly; there are only 6 screws and a power drill would save you about 2 minutes. In one case the text says you need 2 dowels and 2 plastic pegs when you really need 3 dowels and 4 plastic pegs (but the picture is correct).

BE CAREFUL when hammering in the plastic pegs. The instructions say "halfway" but it's actually a bit less. If you go to full halfway you'll crack the laminate finish on the other side. Just hammer them in until the ridges are all in the hole.

Once assembled and standing I was a little bit disappointed with the stability. The shelves do add some side-to-side stability but there is no defense against "corkscrew" torsion. More disappointing was how shallow the base is. On carpet, the unit sways forward-to-back rather easily. The instructions recommend anchoring the unit to the wall using the provided plastic anchors and zip-tie. Fortunately, I do not live in an earthquake zone but I'm still concerned about kids pulling the unit over.

My biggest functional complaint is that the three trim pieces which attach to the front of the unit's shelf walls create an overhang on each end of the shelves that is about the width of a single DVD. I find this annoying because a DVD easily slips behind the overhang and then it's a real pain to get out, especially if you fill the shelf with the max capacity of 28 DVDs. You would literally need to remove 1 or 2 extra DVDs just to get the edge DVDs out. Also, when the shelf is packed, you can't really even read the title on the edge cases.

I recommend you only put 26 DVDs per shelf, which would give you up to 364 DVDs per unit.

I'm actually going to Wal Mart later to pick up an empty black DVD case for each end of each shelf just to keep my actual DVDs from slipping behind the trim, and may velcro or double-stick tape them in place to make things a little easier. It totally stinks that I would have to do this. It's a pretty major and totally obvious design flaw, in my opinion. I'm also planning to put something heavier than DVDs on the bottom shelf in hopes of adding stability to the unit. This means my final count will be about 312 DVDs per unit.

UPDATE

Note that while the description says the depth is 9.5", this is referring to the footprint, not the depth of the shelves themselves.

The individual shelves are only 4.5" deep but the way they are mounted leaves a 5/8" gap between the back of the shelf and the backing of the unit. There is also a 5/8" gap between the front of the shelves and the back of the trim pieces that mount on the front.

In other words, you have about 5 3/4" of depth from the back of the front trim to the backing of the unit. But only 4.5" of actual shelf, with a gap in the back.

A standard DVD case overhangs the front of the shelf by about 3/8".

I am very happy with this shelf system:

1) Easy to assemble: all parts matched together well

2) Shelves hold lots of CDs/DVDs, as advertised, and are easily adjustable.

3) It feels very sturdy I did not attach it to the wall.

4) Importantly, it looks better than the usual crappy DIY furniture. Because of the dark color, it is hard to tell from a few feet away that it's not made from real wood. Of course, if you're unlucky and your package gets damaged during shipment, I can imagine the boards are pretty fragile; however, there's a marker enclosed to touch up scratches and such.

If I had to find faults, I would say that instructions for nailing the back board are intended for a single wide sheet instead of two sheets that are enclosed. I recommend using more nails than suggested in the cartoon assembly picture (there are more than enough nails included)

Another benefit is that there is both a double and single versions available, so you can mix and match, depending on your room geometry/setup.

This shelf is definitely NOT similar to those selling for $170 to $250 -don't kid yourself. The decorative sides are barely 1/8" thick. Some of the caps that screw onto the ends of the cross rods were stripped and I was unable to assemble these completely. This is an inferior product worth only the $49 you see it priced at -but only if you can get it to stay together.

The cross rods are hollow -no problem there. But only the very ends are threaded on the inside. A small 1-1/2" long all-thread stud is used to attach the rod ends to the decorative ball caps you see pictured. These are of poor design, with their internal threading created by a very shallow "nut" on the inside of the ball (near its head). That means the ball has barely enough room to grip the all-thread stud. It seemed to me that if you torque the ball end just a tad too much, it's ability to grip that stud is finished.

The packages arrived (I bought three) with some of the ball ends laying in the bottom of the bag. They don't even survive the journey! Several pop right off.
