This is a great addition to my son's Nascar themed room. I was very pleased with the quality. I believe that my husband used his own sturdier hardware to mount it. But so far it is stood up to the abuse of a 4-year old hanging his coats and backpack on it multiple times a day.

This shelf is very sturdy made with hard wood its not cheap like you usually get. Very easy assembly, just make sureyou have a drill handy!! The only concern we had was the anchors, they are a little cheap and not as rigid on the end to go into the wall as they should be so it causes the shelf to hang off a little. But nothing a quick fri to the hardware store cant fix. My don loves it so that's all that matters!

Sterilite 5-Shelf Shelving Unit - 73.25 x 36 x 18 Inches - Platinum

This Sterilite 5-shelf utility storage unit is one of the finest consumer products I've seen in a long time. Being an industrial engineer, I'm not easily impressed. But I am impressed by the quality and low price (I paid $32 at Amazon with free shipping) of this unit.

Assembled, it has a nice look. The 150 pound limit per shelf is staggering considering it is made of plastic and marketed for non-industrial use. The color of the material is neutral and nice while the physical properties of the plastic are excellent. These combine hardness vs. softness for maximum static strength perfectly. (Some manufacturers make storage racks like this too brittle allowing for minimal deformation under load. However, this brittleness, inherent in the material, makes them easily broken.) Sterilite has balanced both to make a shelf hard enough to maintain form under load but soft enough to take dynamic stress without breaking.

Proper assembly takes about a half hour. There is one simple diagram on the rack banner that shows how it should be put together. No written description is given or needed as assembly is so simple, a child could do it. I do however have several suggestions for proper assembly listed below.

Starting with the bottom shelf on the floor, place four vertical posts into the four corner holes smaller side down as shown on the supplied diagram. You can try to push them in using your strength, but I used a hammer, a block of wood, and a sock placed between the wood and the top of the post to prevent damage to the post. Once placed into the top of the hole, just tap the post into place until it bottoms out. After all four posts are tapped down into position, measure the height of the posts from shelf-top to assure consistent insertion. If there are some that are higher than others, keep tapping the higher ones firmly until all have equal height.

Then place the next shelf onto the four posts. Position the corner holes over the posts and begin to push down on the shelf working around the four corners halfway at a time. When reasonably seated, put a cushion like a folded towel on top of the corner holes and strike them with your hand to finish seating them (if necessary).

Keep checking post height and floor to shelf-top height all the way up to the fifth shelf so you know the all posts and shelves are properly seated. After you are satisfied that assembly is complete, place the unit onto a level area of your floor. If the floor is not level, you can position leveling blocks under the four post corners where the unit contacts the floor. (Leveling the rack can be especially important if you are going to place relatively heavy loads on the shelves.) Before you know it, you're done and in possession of a very nice piece of engineered home-storage utility shelf unit.

For less than $30 (at least as I'm writing this review) these things can't be beat. Everything snaps together and once assembled you have a sturdy, not entirely unattractive set of shelves.

One suggestion that makes these shelves even more stable is to put a couple of shims (like Nelson Wood Shims CSH8/56/120/MGD 8'' Bulk Contractor Shims) under the front legs so the it will tend to lean back against the wall.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I bought 2 sets of these shelves for storage in my basement. They are very sturdy holding cleaning supplies etc. I read some reviews that the shelves were broken on arrival. I can see how this can happen because they arrive in a cardboard box without any padding/packing material. I was worried the cold would make the plastic brittle and easily break but was relieved that they were in great shape. These are better quality than some I have bought at local B&M stores.

This shelf is surprisingly well designed and quite sturdy. It can be configured for different heights (as most such shelves), but also has a design which allows for storage of extra shelf legs (which you will have, if you configure this as a 3-level shelf and a second 2-level, for instance) inside the shelves, and a provision for linking multiple shelves together. Well done and definitely worth the money.

I bought this to use in a very cluttered mud room. It arrived within 2 days and was well packaged. A 3 year old put this together with me, so anyone can do it. It took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. Much nicer than expected I used 3 in my closet in place of a 'closet organizer system'. What a bargain!

I purchased about ten of these units several years ago and they perform beyond my expectation. I have moved several times and although I'm sure they weren't meant to be taken apart and moved every 3-5 years, they have held up wonderfully.

They are utilized as fabric storage in my home sewing shop, with large bins filled to the brim so they must stand up to the weight which they have done admirably. One note of caution, care must be taken to orient the same ends of each end post 'up' and then to align the bracket clips so that the shelves are level. If one merely counts 'lines'on the posts and installs the brackets up that way, the shelves will not be level unless each of the end poles are oriented the same way. This probably doesn't make sense until you are putting these shelves together and you no longer have the instructions but someone might as well learn from my lesson of having done it the wrong way. The individual shelves rest on the brackets so a rubber mallet will be needed in order to disassemble the shelving units.

For the love of organization, when you move, put the brackets in a baggie and tape the baggie to the shelving. Losing the brackets during a move is the most frustrating thing imaginable. Spares can be ordered but it's much easier to keep track of them to begin with. Occasionally, after enough assembly and disassembly, the brackets may start to crack so it's a good idea to purchase spares.

These shelf units are attractive, professional looking and sturdy. I can't recommend them highly enough. I did not purchase them from Amazon but it appears to me that they have the lowest price currently. I bought mine at one of the chain home improvement stores but if I ever need more, I will not hesitate to purchase the same thing again.

If you are like me and you thought that 1) You were going to end up with 3 same sized cubes, you are wrong. 2) Or that this unit is designed to hold 3 each Closet made fabric drawers, you are wrong. What a horrible design, what a horrible unit. You can make it work and fit two of the Closet maid foldable cloth drawers inside this unit with a short shelf space left for a book or something, but even then the two openings for the drawers are different sizes, look stupid, not uniform and the whole thing is super flimsy throughout! It would have been just as easy to design and manufacture a unit that takes 3 of the Closetmaid fabric drawers that they always sell right next to this unit, but instead somebody just decided to screw it all up. What a waste of my money and time, gotta pack up the whole mess and return it to the store.

Bought this shelf to go in a kids room to hold lego items. Worked out great! Hung 2 of these side by side. Shelf is pretty lightweight...not wood but looks like white wood. White finish could look a little better..seemed kinda dirty looking but cleans up ok. Overall, it's a great price, nice shelf and can be hung several different ways which makes it very versitale. I recently bought four 48" Manhattan floating shelves. I used the plastic anchors and screws that came with the shelves, drilling into drywall. The positions I wanted for the shelves disallowed drilling into wall studs. Ennospace wrote me that these shelves will support up to 30 pounds. These shelves support far less than that, and if too much weight is placed on them, they lean precariously until the objects slide off. I'm going to have to devise an additional external support system so the shelves can accommodate more weight.

The shelf is nice, however the mounting wasn't sufficent to make it straight. It leaned down so I had to go get an L brace to put in the middle and now it looks great.

If there was a minus star this product would receive it. When we first assembled it per the instructions the upright pole, that the information racks hook onto was somewhat wobbly but we thought that it was probably safe and made sure that all screws/attachments were secure. The first time we used it at a public event and it was not overloaded it toppled over during set-up time. Just to make it through the event, we secured it as best we could hoping to make it more stable. When the public rotated the heavy metal mesh information holders fell off, thankfully no one was injured but it spewed information all over the floor. To top things off, the final straw was when someone rotated it and the whole thing fell over cracking the "heavy" base. It is a totally useless and dangerous and the manufacturer should remove the product from sale before someone is seriously injured. We were lucky, and embarassed.

I66.35 and free shipping for a piece of junk that sounded great. Maybe we'll get a refund and postage to send it back, maybe not.

I chose this item over others because the compartments that hold the leaflets completely surround the items and keep them safe from wind and movement. All the others are made from wire and hold only where they touch, which is at about six places only.

My only reservations are that there isn't enough weight in the base to prevent toppling in windy conditions, nor is there any way of moving the item. I got over these negatives by screwing the base onto a furniture dolly, which has a much wider base, giving greater leverage against overturning, whilst enabling the stand to be easily moved from it's storage place to the market position where I need it.

I looked at a lot of credenzas before choosing this one and must say I haven't been disappointed. There are a couple things that I don't really care for but I can understand why it was made the way it was. But first off I must say I feel the decision to use UPS to deliver such a heavy package was not a good idea. Due to its weight I thought it would come by freight truck not UPS. And when UPS arrived I was there and the box was a tore up mess. The UPS driver told me it was nearly impossible for him to move it around by himself and the packaging showed it. The box had holes and rips that were taped up over and over and the Styrofoam was sticking out with pieces shredded off. The UPS guy said to me, "well, give us a call when you want me to pick it up and send it back" because we both figured the pieces inside must have been a broken scratched mess.

I took pictures of the box before opening it and then began to see what was inside. I was very surprised to find none of the beautiful wood pieces were damaged what so ever. The glass was fine and everything was still there. All pieces were heavily packaged in Styrofoam some of which was broken into tiny shards which itself was a major clean up issue but I won't get into that.

The credenza assembled in about 15 minutes without using one single tool. I was amazed at how well thought out the construction was and what nice fasteners they used to make it assemble so cool. And too, it is made out of nice heavy wood which is all designed to fit together very snug and precise. The doors open and close perfectly and the glass is tempered so no worries of breaking it. Not to mention it is very attractive and functional.

Cons:

1) It has gaping holes in the back panel which allow for ventilation but depending on your wall color, these holes may make the inside look funny. Seems like they could have left the back panel solid with partial cutouts allowing you to remove the ones of your choice.

2) The top inside shelf area is rather large and seems a bit overwhelming. We have our electronics behind the doors (the remotes have no problems through the glass) so ended up getting a couple complimentary baskets to slide into the top area to hold instruction manuals, TV guides, remotes etc.

But all in all it is a great piece‼‼‼!

Before buying this I had bought other furniture from OfficeDepot and it was very time consuming to assemble. When I got this I was prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. Very easy. The front of the unit is completely assembled in the box. You just literally slide some pieces together and you're done. The unit is very solid and gorgeous. Honestly, I did not expect it to be this nice. It's real wood and it's worth every penny.

Biggest concerns for me were quality and ventilation for the audio and gaming equipment. The stand is well designed with ventilation in mind and I have noticed no issues with either my xbox or onkyo receiver.

Lastly, the TV is much easier to view being on this TV stand, as opposed to a shorter stand. It's much more comfortable.

Front & Top Load Media Cabinet w Beveled Doors in 2 Tone Finish

I bought this product from a company called Spin Keeper. I was really excited about moving my collection off of a bookshelf and into a nice, compact cabinet, safe from collecting dust from behind wooden doors.

Assembly was mostly easy, but very time consuming. For me, it took over nine hours working by myself. I ran into several hurdles. First of all, whoever counted parts for my cabinet was drunk. There are two magnets that each have two screws holding them to the cabinet and four smaller screws to hold a metal plate to each door, but I only had three screws for the magnets and five small screws for the plates. Luckily, I had a similar screw lying around that I could use.

The instructions state that there are 40 nails, but the illustration in the instructions clearly show 48 nails being used, so if you follow the diagram exactly, you will come up short. The drunk gave me 43 nails, so I was able to slightly improvise.

At one point, the instructions tell you to use the SF612BL screws, but there are no such screws in the parts manifest. This is a minor complaint, since the screws you are actually supposed to use (SP816BL in the manifest) are bundled with the plates they screw down in a plastic bag.

The nut that is supposed to hold the lock in place can easily slip into a crooked position and become hard to tighten. In fact, it's easier to put it on crooked than it is to put it on straight. I tried to tighten the nut with my wrench, but it just turned the lock with it, sanding the hole down larger than it's supposed to be.

The most frustrating part of the construction for me was one of the shelves, which would drop all of my DVDs and tip over whenever I put enough on top of it. I had to wedge pieces of cardboard into the interlocking sections for the shelf to stay level.

After assembling the unit, I took a moment to admire the finished product. Despite being made out of mostly composite wood and a few plastic pieces, it is quite an attractive looking cabinet. But my problems were far from over.

The worst thing about this unit, the deal-breaker, is that there is clearly not enough depth to completely fill it with DVDs of variable width. See the photos I uploaded illustrating this point.

If all you have are standard-sized plastic DVD clamshells, then you should have no problems. If you're like me, like most people, your collection will have various kinds of DVD cases. Let's do some math. From the rear of the cabinet to the door, it measures almost 11¼". A standard clamshell DVD case measures just over 5¼" in width. Side by side, there is still about three quarters of an inch of space between. My box sets of Buffy The Vampire Slayer measure 5 5/8". The widest box sets in my collection (James Bond movie set and Band of Brothers) measure 5 7/8". Any combination of these slightly wider sets will either cause you to press your hand against the door for it to shut against the magnet or prevent the doors from closing entirely. You could organize your collection in an odd order that prevents the wider sets from facing each other from the door shelves, but that's a game of Tetris no one wants to play.

This would be a beautiful storage cabinet if all you wanted to store was DVDs, CDs, blu-rays, VHS tapes or games for Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3, all in standard-sized cases, but one size most definitely does not fit all. If only it had one extra inch of depth.

I ordered this on May 24 and received it on May 29 talk about fast service! I was pleased to find that all the parts were shipped too WOW, what a novelty. I'd seen other reviews on another site and was concerned that it was difficult to assemble. It took us about 7 hours, but part of that time was drying time to fix a mistake we made. My husband didn't trust the quality of the wood glue provided, he said it looked like Elmers, so he used his personal choice instead.

When assembling the cabinet, pay VERY CLOSE attention to the illustrations the raw sides and finished sides are not well illustrated and we ended up putting the right side on the left and visa-versa. This mistake gave us raw edges where finished edges should have been oops! Since we used wood glue in the wood dowels, as per instructed, we messed up some parts of the wood and had to repair them. No problem it's fine now.

The bottom supports (parts M) are indented, but the instruction shows them as being even with the front and back edges of the bottom (part B). If you match the placement of the angle brackets with the holes provided, you'll get them in the right place. When you put the sides in place, the supports will align with the wood dowel holes just fine.

The one fault I found was that the wood colors aren't consistent. I realize it's hard to stain the MDF the same color as the oak laminant on the doors and top, but I don't care for the redish oak color of the MDF on the rest of the cabinet. It would also be nice if there were locks on the cabinet doors instead of just the top storage area.

Just received this and put it together that same day. It took about 6 hours to put together, but I took lots of breaks. This is a very heavy unit and it was a lot taller than I thought it would be, it is over 3 feet tall. It has loads of storage and seems to be very useful. Not too sure I like the top load though, because I was planning on putting a lamp on top and now I can't because it opens from the top, but I guess that means less clutter also. I think this is a really nice piece and others are really interested in getting this same piece for their houses. Not enough glue was included in this set and I used the wrong glue for the wrong pieces, but it wasn't a problem. I recommend getting some extra crazy glue to finish up this piece.

This works great for storing all of my movies, cds and video games. The quality is pretty good for assemble it yourself furniture. It did take a while to assemble though I assembled it in about 2 and a half hours but it turned out well. I looked at furniture stores local to me and didn't see anything at all like this I do like it overall.

sturdy product but really only holds 624 cds.Each shelf has 4 cds that go behind the molding and cannot be accessed. if full,it is nearly impossible to get cds out. So i put 2 blank cases on either side of the shelf to act as spacers and added one less cd than full so cds can be removed. this puts 52 cds per shelf not the 57 they say. i can only assume this is the same for all this manufacturers triple and single storages. so take off 5 per shelf. each width has 6 shelves. so a single has 30 less capacity, double 60/ triple 90 less cd storage capacity. count well.was easy to build

With the new baby room, we need room elsewhere for all the DVD/Blu Rays. We wanted a wall mounted organizer and this looked like a good peice. Assemble instructions were easy and all the material was there. Everything is clearly marked and all you need is a screwdriver. I wish the shelves would have been a bit thicker, but there is plenty of support for them. Looks like I am ging to have to get the single wall mount now, since I have about 50 more DVDs that a home.

we've had this for about 2 months. So far, we are quite happy with it it wasn't too hard for Mom to put together although Dad did have to do the wall mounting. It has a good capacity (although in retrospect, I should have bought the triple one, but that's my mistake). Looks nice enough for the price and appears to be durable.

I didn't have any of the problems that others have reported. The finish on all the wood was even and without blemish. It was very easy to put them together. I'm actually using them as end tables on either side of my couch. They are a bit taller than my couch, but that actually works out perfectly for reading lamps. They are very sturdy and stable. I also ordered a matching bookcase and couldn't be happier with all three pieces. I would definitely purchase this product again.

This arrived quickly and was really easy to assemble. I needed a short, little shelf for a small bathroom and this really did the trick. The only problem is that the pieces don't all fit together flush. There are very small gaps where some of the pieces meet, but it doesn't bother me too much.

I wanted a small book shelf as I don't have a lot of books. This one was perfect for the small space I have available. It arrived in good condition, was packaged nicely, and was very easy to assemble. All of the holes matched up, etc. It seems to be very sturdy and it sits level on the floor.

The on-line photos make this item look almost brownish but I know that Espresso is almost black which is why I bought it. It matches very nicely with the other items I've purchased from Winsome in both color and quality. It was well worth the low price.

I use this in my apartment bedroom to hold snacks and water and it works wonderfully. It was very easy to set up, I believe about 5-10 minutes for me. Everything came well packed and nothing was broken upon arrival. It seems like a pretty well built product and has had no issues for me since I bought it. I've had it around 6 months now.
