STARS: 3 Stars because its a good product with a few shortcomings.

WHY NOT 5 STARS: Picture shows something different than what is received, Product required a bit of problem solving, I believe the product concept could be made into better quality.

DESCRIPTION:

PLEASE understand that the picture on the product shows 4 hooks on the product (to hold bags), while the package only comes with TWO. One hook for each of the two nylon bags.

The product comes with just a few pieces. A belt, two metal clips that are for going onto the door, and two nylon mesh bags that will hold your equipment (in my case, I bought the sports rack for laundry).

The picture on the front of the box clearly shows four hooks on the black belt, which I had been planning on trying to attach extra bags to. The product only comes with two of these hooks, already on the belt. The hooks do not come off or on the belt, they come already attached to it. With the way the belt is made there would be no way to slide on more hooks if you somehow managed to obtain more, so I don't know why the picture shows more.

One of the pictures on the box shows a hat being hung on one of the hooks so having extra hooks on the belt would be helpful in my opinion.

That aside, I'm going to go into the rest of things that I LIKE about the product.

The metal clips that hold the black belt onto the door are an "over-the-door" type of design. One metal clip goes on the top of the door, and one goes underneath the door on the bottom of the door itself. These clips "grip" the door tightly. If it didn't, then the clip on the bottom would fall off. The clips are also VERY thin (but sturdy!) metal which I think is VERY good because some products that are made to go over-the-door are too bulky or too thick to allow for a door to shut. THIS product allows my door to shut with no problem.

Once the clips are in place, there is a place on each clip to loop the ends of the black belt onto. The belt itself is adjustable with a buckle so you can loosen or tighten the belt as needed.

The bags appear slightly smaller to me than what appears in the picture, but the product description on Amazon clearly offers the measurements of the bag size and the bags do hold my laundry pretty well so I can't complain. One bag holds about 1/2 to 3/4 of the contents of a pop-up hamper when dealing with sheets alone.

The hooks and the bags are definitely not just any kind of hook or bag. The bags have a special plastic piece that when put onto the hooks (which are specially designed also), they can be put on and lifted off with ease. This means that gravity is what is keeping these bags in place.

The nylon bags have a special design to it also, so that when you lift the bag up from the loop that "hangs" on the hook, it seems to "straighten" the posture of the bag in a way that makes it ready for hanging against the door.

I had a problem with filling the bottom bag too much. When I filled the bag to its maximum, it changed the angle of the hook in such a way that it allowed for the hook to slide down the belt to the floor instead of staying holding up against the weight of the bag and keep it up high for hanging.

I fixed this problem by first sliding the hooks to where I wanted them on the belt, and then tying a knot into the belt underneath each hook. So far this has been working really well, and I don't have to worry about the bag sliding to the floor.

There is a product just like this made for laundry but I thought for some reason that the sports rack would be made more "heavy duty". The parts don't seem like they are heavy duty so my GUESS is that the laundry version is exactly the same except for the color.

My only other complaint is that once the full weight of the two bags is pulling on the belt, the belt has a tendency to pull away from the door. If you are planning on putting this on a door that is opened and closed several times constantly throughout a day, you might find it annoying to have these heavy swaying objects behind your door.

Do I recommend it? Yes I do. For thirteen dollars and free saver amazon shipping, I think it's worth a try to get the junk up off the floor and out of the way.

I'm considering getting another one to see if I can fit two of these (a total of four bags) onto one door. If I do, I'll review again. Hope this helps everyone!

I ordered three of these shelf units. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Seemed like too good a price! All other shelves like this were a lot of money. Plus, no other reviews. I took a chance. Glad I did. These are PERFECT for what I am using them for! I needed simple shelving for my craft room. I store all my scrapbook supplies (plus a few nic-nacs) on them. They went together very fast. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver. VERY easy to assemble I did all three myself! When assembling the last shelf unit, I noticed I was missing a part. I contacted the company thru Amazon. Within one hour, I received a response from the company. They said they will ship the right part to me. 3 days later, the right part was waiting at my door!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! I baught this about 6 months ago and never got around to reviewing it. First of all it stands up on its own AGAINST the wall...it does lean...it does NOT stand up by itself not on a good wall...it does not have back legs to hold it up (i knew this but i just wanted to let you all know!) The color i ordered (White) is a very cheap white...it isnt the prettiest color but its fine) The faux wood its made out of is something you would get at a target store...not amazing quality but does do its job. I gave this a 4 star because on the steps its starting to turn grey and looked scratched up! Good buy though! I would deff. rebuy! ****

The only complant for me on this shelf is I wish the screws (which are silver and heavy duty) had the little white covers as i feel it would give this a more sleek/finished look. This is a smaller shelf just right for what I needed...TV components and a basket of Wii supplies.

Based on the pictures and description I thought I was getting a steal for a leaning wall shelf. We received the shelf, it was packaged well however was difficult to assemble as some parts were labeled with the incorrect part number/letter. I managed to get the shelf together, it's easy enough with one person and only took me an hour even with all of the difficulty, however the screws that hold the two tall parts of the shelf together are very visible once the shelf is together. The shelf is a little off white, but our molding is very white so it stood out a little. In a darker room or a little older house you wouldn't notice it's not really white. The shelf was steady and perfect size for what we needed, although it did block both the outlet and light switch in one area so beware. Overall the shelf is great, it just didn't work for what we needed. We ended up selling this one and buying one from Crate and Barrel, although it was double the price it was far more sturdy and there is no hardware showing.

Purchased this for nursery after looking for over a month. Somewhat skeptical due to some of the negative reviews. Item arrived in less than 48 hours! No damage. No problem with finish on the product as other reviews suggested. Finish was actually a good quality and looks nice. Husband did complain a little during assembly that some of the holes didn't line up. Took less than 30 minutes to assemble. Looks great! I would buy another.

Now that I have this assembled and in use I do like it, but I was cursing the hours it took to put together. with 8 nuts and bolts for each shelf and the fact that the metal arrives bent and you have to bend it back into the right shape, this was a bit#h to put together.

Very time consuming to assemble. It had a LOT of screws and nuts. It was hard to access them all with a socket or wrench. The pre-machined holes in the shelves and uprights didn't align.

Not heavy duty. Shelves are thin metal, easily deformed and incapable of holding a reasonable load. Not bolt-less. Unit comes with a bag of bolts and every shelf and brace requires installation of a bolt and nut. The plastic bins are flimsy and barely adequate. Definitely not worth the money

The product is called the "Walker Edison 52-Inch Solid Wood TV Console with 4 Doors."

The description reads: "Elegance and function combine to give this contemporary solid wood TV console a striking appearance. The design gives a stylish modern look crafted with solid Asian hardwood. Console will accommodate most flat-screen TVs up to 55 in. Adjustable shelving allows for a wide range of A/V components."

While much of the cabinet is some sort of wood, a significant and visible panel is particle board. The particle board is the 52-inch by 16-inch bottom panel of the cabinet. The front edge of this panel is visible along the full front length of the cabinet, as the doors fit within the frame rather than over it. The laminate on this particle board piece arrived with chipped and cracked edges.

While most of the rest of the console is wood, ours arrived with some pieces that were cracked -not split open, but with cracked seams.

I called the company, which said that it is not responsible the description that appears on Amazon's Web site.

Just an FYI for other customers who, like us, were searching specifically for something that does not contain particle board.

the packing for the item was good. The item itself was garbage, and not wood but particle board. The instructions were miss printed and completely the wrong picture in places. While assembling the way describe the flimsy particle board front bottom panel( which is almost the entire support for this item cracks and the pin holder came completely out of the board. The box had gotten thrown out or i would have returned this item the same day. DO NOT BUY!! you will be sorry if you do, and forget putting a television on this flimsy piece of junk unless it is your soon to be ex-wife/husband's. i gave it 1 star because will not allow no stars.

I really liked the look of this media stand, but I ordered and the first box had sustained damage in transit that impacted and marred the wood. I contacted the manufacturer who related that I needed to contact Amazon and provided the contact number. I did and they quickly rectified the situation by ordering a replacement and sending a return shipping label. Unfortunately, the replacement had a damaged piece that did not seem to be the fault of the transporation company as the damaged piece was packaged in the center of the box and no other pieces were damaged. I again contacted Amazon and this time asked for a refund which was provided the same date and a return shipping label was e-mailed to me again. Amazon also picked up the charges for UPS to pick the item up at my home instead of me having to take it to the local UPS pick up facility. Amazon's customer service was excellent...too bad the product did not meet up to the standards of what I needed. By the way, the color is more of a cherry rather than walnut.

This is a hefty package that really takes 2 people to carry into your home. Unlike the previous reviewer, it took me about 8 hours to put together (I'm not the handiest person and I was very slow and methodical putting it together). One person can put this unit together although a second set of hands would be helpful.

The unit pieces are very well packaged -while the outside cardboard was dinked up the there was not a scracth on any of the pieces and every piece is individually numbered which helps the assembly process considerably. Keep a vacuum handy -there are lots of little styrofoam pieces to protect the components that will fly all over your room otherwise.

Follow the instructions to the letter (e.g., if there are five predrilled holes, the instructions will identify the two holes to insert a wooded dowel -put it in the wrong hole and you'll have problems).

I ordered the unit on a Saturday and paid the extra $3.99 for one-day delivery. It arrived on Monday -typical fantastic Amazon.com and UPS fulfillment and delivery.

The unit stands 25 inches tall -NOT 24 inches as described in the listing. This probably won't matter 99% of the time but FYI.

As the other reviewer stated, measure you components in advance -the inside shelf space is just under 14" deep (or you can carve out the back of the unit (there are several holes in the back where you can run wires out the back of the unit) which is very lightweight. Also, make sure your components' remote controls work through the glass doors before you do all your wiring.

This is a nice, plain piece of furniture that will easily hold a 55" plasma. A 65" would probably fit also but the TV might extend a little bit on either side of the stand -measure in advance.

There is nothing more satisfying than having built something yourself! In this day and age where we have no time to have a hobby, I was thrilled to have a slow time on my work schedule to be able to commit to this home project!

After delivery, seeing that the box was indented in many places, I was expecting to hear the familiar, glass crumble-shake sounds. However, upon opening, I was very surprised to see everything nicely protected and well packed. The glass was separately wrapped with cardboard and intact. Even the door knobs were well protected!

The Assembly was fun to do, and the instructions were very easy to understand. All in all, it took me 3 1/2 easy-paced evenings. All the screw holes were pre-tapped and accurate, which is amazing in itself!

The ONLY thing is, this should be noted in the manual, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THE CAM LOCKS! I snapped 3 of them. Fortunately, they give you extra parts. Also, putting the glass into the doors was a bit delicate. Compared to the rest of the assembly, this is more Zen like. The same thing applies. Don't over-tighten the screws.

All in all, everything worked out fine, the Console looks great and is very solid. It is exactly what I was looking for and I saved $300 $500 by assembling it myself. No Joke. Also, it's made of real wood, not particle board!

About myself...I an average 56 year old Woman in the SF Bay Area, where Carpentry is not my main skill. This project, has re-kindled a joy, that "build it yourself" can offer. Plus, I am thrilled to have saved all that cash. I would recommend this TV Console highly and kudos to Walker Edison who definitely has their act together. So, thanks!

The photo in the ad was misleading: the unit has no back at all---so plan on adding at least another $20-$30, and several additional hours of work, to make it even rudimentarily dust-proof. After this company's shipping charges, (but, admittedly, with no sales tax), my local Home Depot had a better unit, cheaper---even after paying Calif. sales tax.

In the Amazon ad, this unit looked like it was made of wood, or at least, like it had a melamine finish, but it's really just made of shoddy painted pressed wood.

The quality of the 54" wall cabinet I purchased is very good. The instructions made assembly and installation pretty easy. My only complaint is regarding service:one hinge was defective so I followed instructions to order a part which stated 2 day delivery; I couldn't get through by phone but did get a response by email...after a week I asked for a tracking number and one was provided but the part took 2 weeks not 2 days.

This is the worst quality cabinet we've ever seen. It did not even stay together when the contractor put it together to hang. The product is so heavy and of a poor quality fiberboard that the screws slip out from the weight of the unit (74 lbs) and from the lack of fiberboard density to hold the screws in before even putting anything in the cabinet. When the contractor went to drill holes for the handles, the cabinet doors cracked and fell apart around the drill hole. We were very disappointed to say the least, and had a very difficult time returning it because the weight & size of the unit. Please don't waste your money on this product. Go to Lowe's and/or Home Depot and buy a preconstructed unit that suits your needs.

These are nice and have a modern look. Well made and easy to put together except adjusting the hinges for the doors can be tricky

I bought this shelf for my 6 year old's action figures. It was extremely easy to put together, only took me about 20 minutes. Its a bit light bit surprisingly sturdy! It was just a tad on the pricey side for me but I think given the quality it will last for years.

There were cracks and chips on four pieces out of a total of nine to this bookcase. Luckily, I have just purchased furniture cover up markers from Amazon. I had to use a lot of it. It's not perfect and the spots are still noticeable. Plus, one leg is slightly shorter than the others which makes the bookcase rock back and forth. I had to use cardboard under one leg to level the bookcase. Absolutely poor poor quality!! It's too heavy and costly to return, so I am stuck with it. Take my advice...don't buy!!!
