I originally purchased this for my sons room when he was a toddler to store videos in. He's 14 now and I have had it in my pantry/laundry room for extra storage of my cook books, mixing bowls, cereal bowls etc. It has been sturdy and a decent piece of furniture for these needs. I have recently changed some decor in that room and no longer wished this cabinet was white. I was worried I would have to resort to tacky contact paper as I have searched high and low for a narrow sturdy cabinet that was not to tall since I have a lamp on it as well (this would also be great to put in a small spaced entry way). I didn't want to have to spend hundreds of dollars and settle on something I really didn't want. I was shocked and amazed that Amazon carries this after so many years, and love the fact I can get it in Espresso without breaking my bank account. I love Amazon. They have never failed me.

I bought this for my kitchen which is small and has little storage space. It works out great and was easy to put together.

This works exactly as promised. The wide strap holds each hat without you having to readjust the hat Velcro since the holders on the organizer has Velcro strips that open and close to hold the hat. I just hung it on a hook behind the door and put a ton of hats on it. It doesn't swing around when I open or close the door. Just what I wanted.

My husband seems to come home with a new cap every month or so and I'm not sure why since he has 30 plus caps already. The more I tried to organize his caps, the caps would end up being in a closet out of sight. I have concluded that this has to be why the man keeps buying more! Maybe it's like women and shoes.

Mesh Shoe Shelf

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I purchased this item. I purchased it based on the photo, which clearly shows TWO shelves stacked together. As the price was comparable to other shoe racks with two shelves, I had no idea that this was for a single shelf. I give it a 3 star rating because we're going to keep it. My daughter loves it, it works well for her dress-up shoes, with ample space underneath for her real shoes (the shoes are directly on the carpet, though, which defeats the purpose of a shoe rack). Had I been on top of things and read the reviews, I would not have purchased this product, because we wanted a shoe rack with two shelves and there are other shoe racks with two and three shelves available on Amazon for the same price.

The lady who reviewed this with one star only did so because SHE didn't read the description properly the cost is PER shelf. I love this product, it's super-easy to use, fairly sturdy and works perfectly in our mudroom. I'm about to order three more to use in my husband's closet. Since you can stack them or not, they work super-well at the bottom of closets to give you extra space. They're also very light and fold flat if you wanted to store them.

These are super easy to stack and very versatile. I purchased this shoe rack last week, thinking that $20 was a good deal for a 2 tiered, mesh shoe rack. When the rack arrived, it was only half of what is pictured on the seller's page. Other reviewers, who are apparently just argumentative, or who are related to the seller, suggest "reading the details or reviews would have shown me what the product actually was", but thats not acceptable to me even *if* the accurate details really were printed in that section. The image shown is that of a TWO TIERED SHOE RACK. Either modify this picture to show whats actually being sold, or perhaps enough crappy reviews and equally crappy sales will remind the seller of what integrity is all about. Yes, the DIMENSIONS listed of this rack are those of a single tier, but Im not in the habit of corroborating printed measurements with what appears in printed images of the products Im about to buy.

I love this shoe rack. To assemble the rack was easy (just pop out the side). The racks are easily stackable. I could fit 3 pairs of women's shoes on one level or 2 pairs of men's + stacked flip flops on one level. I purchased a total of 4 and have room for more when I need it. The cheap metal/plastic racks are no comparison to this!

I read the Amazon product description, and also read through all 36 reviews of this item, but still couldn't find a precise answer to my main question: "What size spice jars will fit in this rack?"

I purchased one, and am now furnishing you with the answer. The space between the bottom shelf and the middle shelf is approximately 4 3/4 inches. The space between the middle shelf and the top shelf is appoximately the same. There is a metal bar running across the front of each shelf to act as a lip that keeps the jars from falling out of the front. That lip is about 1 1/4 inch above the shelf. Therefore, in order to add and remove the taller jars from the shelves, you have to tilt the jars to clear the front lip and the shelf above. In other words you have to angle them onto and off of the shelf. I have found that you can easily do this with jars that are about 4 inches tall. The standard McCormick jars are about 4 1/2 inches tall, and I was able to get them onto the first and second shelves with not much problem. You will not want to use the first and second shelves for jars that are between 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 inches tall. However, you can put jars of any height onto the third shelf, as long as the jars are no greater than 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The 2 1/2 diameter limit applies to the first and second shelves as well. I hope this makes it easier for prospective customers to decide if they can use this spice rack.

The spice rack is well made, and the finish is a satin black that is silky to the touch. I only have 4 quibbles. 1) I wish there was a bit more clearance between shelves. 2) I wish they had put lips on the back like they did on the front, so that you can use the rack free-standing on a counter top without the jars falling out the back. A back lip would also have been useful for wall mount applications to help prevent your wall from being marked by spice jars bumping the wall when you add or remove them from the shelves. 3) The only mounting hardware that is included are 4 screws that go through mounting holes in the rack. If you wall mount this rack on drywall and miss the studs, you are going to have to supply your own wall anchors. I also wish the screws were slightly longer, to provide more secure penetration on studs. 4) My last quibble is with the product information. It's sad that companies, including this one, don't provide adequate product information to answer consumers questions. It's frustrating for consumers to have to search through customer reviews or send questions to product specialtists in an attempt to find crucial information that the company failed to provide! Companies -wake up!

Overall this is a quality spice rack, and if the dimensions are o.k. for your jars, I recommend it.

This is a stury, attractive spice rack, but it's a bit cramped. It's too small to put those large-sized spices on (eg 9.5 oz garlic salt) but it'll just fit regular height and certainly the short spices. It's a good deal for the money.

I actually purchased this for my bathroom, I store all of my nail polished on it. It is a fantastic and neat way to showcase the different colors and brands of nail polish I have. I bought this spice rack as a present for my roommate, who'd been searching unsuccessfully for a rack to hold her collection of spice bottles. I think she likes it... I know I do! In fact, I am registered for one of my own now that I'm moving out and getting married. I think it's attractive and homey-looking, plus well-made and durable. We've had no trouble with it fitting a variety of typical grocery store spice bottles in different sizes and shapes. It holds a good-sized (but not huge) collection of spices.

I will say that it needs to be pushed flush up against a wall either hanging or sitting on a counter to keep the bottles from slipping out the back. We've had a little trouble with this since a rim on our counter keeps it from being flat on the wall, and we don't have a space to hang it. It does come with its own hanging hardware, which we didn't use.

WHY NOT 5 STARS: Picture shows something different than what is received, Product required a bit of problem solving, I believe the product concept could be made into better quality.

DESCRIPTION:

PLEASE understand that the picture on the product shows 4 hooks on the product (to hold bags), while the package only comes with TWO. One hook for each of the two nylon bags.

The product comes with just a few pieces. A belt, two metal clips that are for going onto the door, and two nylon mesh bags that will hold your equipment (in my case, I bought the sports rack for laundry).

The picture on the front of the box clearly shows four hooks on the black belt, which I had been planning on trying to attach extra bags to. The product only comes with two of these hooks, already on the belt. The hooks do not come off or on the belt, they come already attached to it. With the way the belt is made there would be no way to slide on more hooks if you somehow managed to obtain more, so I don't know why the picture shows more.

One of the pictures on the box shows a hat being hung on one of the hooks so having extra hooks on the belt would be helpful in my opinion.

That aside, I'm going to go into the rest of things that I LIKE about the product.

The metal clips that hold the black belt onto the door are an "over-the-door" type of design. One metal clip goes on the top of the door, and one goes underneath the door on the bottom of the door itself. These clips "grip" the door tightly. If it didn't, then the clip on the bottom would fall off. The clips are also VERY thin (but sturdy!) metal which I think is VERY good because some products that are made to go over-the-door are too bulky or too thick to allow for a door to shut. THIS product allows my door to shut with no problem.

Once the clips are in place, there is a place on each clip to loop the ends of the black belt onto. The belt itself is adjustable with a buckle so you can loosen or tighten the belt as needed.

The bags appear slightly smaller to me than what appears in the picture, but the product description on Amazon clearly offers the measurements of the bag size and the bags do hold my laundry pretty well so I can't complain. One bag holds about 1/2 to 3/4 of the contents of a pop-up hamper when dealing with sheets alone.

The hooks and the bags are definitely not just any kind of hook or bag. The bags have a special plastic piece that when put onto the hooks (which are specially designed also), they can be put on and lifted off with ease. This means that gravity is what is keeping these bags in place.

The nylon bags have a special design to it also, so that when you lift the bag up from the loop that "hangs" on the hook, it seems to "straighten" the posture of the bag in a way that makes it ready for hanging against the door.

I had a problem with filling the bottom bag too much. When I filled the bag to its maximum, it changed the angle of the hook in such a way that it allowed for the hook to slide down the belt to the floor instead of staying holding up against the weight of the bag and keep it up high for hanging.

I fixed this problem by first sliding the hooks to where I wanted them on the belt, and then tying a knot into the belt underneath each hook. So far this has been working really well, and I don't have to worry about the bag sliding to the floor.

There is a product just like this made for laundry but I thought for some reason that the sports rack would be made more "heavy duty". The parts don't seem like they are heavy duty so my GUESS is that the laundry version is exactly the same except for the color.

My only other complaint is that once the full weight of the two bags is pulling on the belt, the belt has a tendency to pull away from the door. If you are planning on putting this on a door that is opened and closed several times constantly throughout a day, you might find it annoying to have these heavy swaying objects behind your door.

Do I recommend it? Yes I do. For thirteen dollars and free saver amazon shipping, I think it's worth a try to get the junk up off the floor and out of the way.

I'm considering getting another one to see if I can fit two of these (a total of four bags) onto one door. If I do, I'll review again. Hope this helps everyone!

This is a sturdy organizer. I was worried about it being wobbly, but it isn't. It was very easy to put together. The drawer slides easily. It works very well in my bathroom cabinet. This was a quick fix for my tiny bathroom. The only storage prior was a tiny medicine cabinet and the pipes under the sink made me think it would be impossible to find a way to put any storage beneath the sink. I was wrong! This organizer is sturdy enough for me: the top of mine holds a wooden basket of toilet paper, mouthwash and shampoos (worked around that pesky sink pipe), in the pull out basket we have smaller items like toothbrushes and washcloths, and underneath I put our scale (we just pull it out to use it). I tell you my personal setup only to illustrate one way it could be used in a bathroom. Very easy to put together!

I ordered these shelves for our store to store coffee mugs, etc. Since the coffee area is in view of customers I wanted something a little jazzier than the usual shelf system and that's exactly what these are! They are sturdy and functional easy to mount (be sure to use a level so both ends are even!), and I love that you can arrange them however you want. We had a limited space but were still able to arrange the shelves so that they look really snappy. I am very impressed, would definitely buy these again!

The people who gave this a negative review obviously have no skills whatsoever. It was easy to put together and works perfectly. The three pieces are not attached, and it does take a little measuring and thought to line the braces up with the base. I recommend a chalk line to make everything level. For the negative reviewers... go to Target and buy a pre-made set. I bet you won't get it as level as I got this item.

First of all, the instructions that come with the product are pretty vague regarding installation. Second, the tools provided aren't enough to hold up the shelf by itself. The basic gist of it is that you screw the bracket to the wall, slide the "L shaped" part of the shelf on the bracket and then pop the actual flat part of the shelf on top. I had to purchase additional screws for added support because the brackets did not hold up the "L shaped" part of the shelf on its own. Both would slide off, so I resorted to screwing the "L shape" to the bracket instead.

They look good now that they're finally up on the wall, but frankly I don't think they were worth the trouble (I bought the 35 1/2 inch and 24 inch shelves). They took quite some time to arrive at my home and installation was a hassle. You're better off buying shelves at your local Target or Ikea.
