Purchased two of these to use on a client install. Intended use was to hold audio/video equipment that couldn't be rack-mounted (i.e. stereo receivers/amplifiers, dvd recorders, TV/Monitors, etc). Holes match up perfectly with the rack, and there was no problem supporting the weight of multiple pieces of equipment on each shelf.

The depth of the shelves is perfect. Placing a stereo receiver on one shelf, I was able to line up the front of the receiver with the front of the shelf/rack rails, and the back of the shelf extended several inches past the back of the receiver. No worries about anything falling off.

These are a good buy, and I'll be buying more of them as I develop needs for them!

Product is solid and does the job of holding devices you can not mount in a rack. I have found StarTech products to be very durable, solid, and not made out of flimsy material.

I originally purchased 1 about 6 months ago and I purchased 2 more this week. These are good sturdy shelves that are capabable of holding a significant amount of weight. We put some rather large Adtran TSU's on them and they fit perfectly and we used another for a holding smaller non-rack mountable items such as a SOHO firewall and cable modem. The items arrived promptly and in excellent condition.

M4 bolts were sent to install on the rack but no nuts were included. When I contacted StarTech, they informed me it was an M5 bolt and graciously sent some with the appropriate nuts designed to fit in the rack holes. When I received them, the installation was easy and the rack is working well.

I ordered a new Black Standard Universal Server Rack Cabinet Shelf. It was supposed to be a 1U high shelf. I received a 3U shelf with scratches on 20% of the surface that goes all the way down to bare metal. This is totally unacceptable. The item itself would be okay if it's what I ordered, but it is not. Also from studying the shipping box, I don't believe the scratches were made during shipping. My rating is directed at Amazon for the poor transaction they are responsible for.

4 Shelf Folding Bookcase - Black

These bookcases were a pain to assemble. One of the horizontal pieces was drilled wrong (one end was reversed)so I had to drill it out, one was missing dowels and it's definately a 4 hand project.

Also, when assembled they are fairly flimsy. I decided against stacking them because I was afraid they would collapse and hurt someone.

I wouldn't buy them again.

I was a little disappointed with the craftsmanship of this item. The pre-drilled holes for the screws on this shelving unit did not match up on either side. Therefore, none of the shelves were ever even. I had to create my own holes in order to make sure the shelves were perfectly flat on both ends. I purchased 2 of these and his was the case for both of them. I wouldn't recommend buying these unless you only have a limited budget.

As the other review indicates, its a pain to assemble. The tools that came with were not sufficient to complete the job. The pre-drilled holes didn't help much and it was hard to screw. I have done plenty of home improvement and projects like this so I was prepared, but you should know its a bit of a project to get it together.

Once together, I like it. Pain was worth it I guess, but I am rating it lower since it was not too friendly to work with.

When I was in college many years ago I had a couple of folding stackable bookshelves. Since I moved often these were ideal for transporting easily from place to place, and easy to set up. I was always acquiring more and more books. I had my original book shelves for nearly 25 years, and had added considerably to my collection of folding bookshelves, but catastrophes happen, and I lost them. Living in a new small space, I absolutely NEEDED this type of shelving again. The Winsome Wood shelves are easy to put together (granted, one stage of building them can test your patience, but still its easy). For their weight and portability they are sturdy -I have some heavy books. The finish is nice. They stack well. Where I live there are uneven floors, and I am able to put tiny shims at the bottom that levels them out and stablizes them readily (important to have them stable if you have many heavy books). Additionally, the shelves can be screwed to the walls in some cases if such security is needed (perhaps with children that might pull on them and dump the shelves and their contents) and the connecting hardware for stacking can act as anchoring hardware. With the 3-tier units and the 4-tier towers, a variety of configurations can be arranged, making them versatile and attractive. I have used many styles of shelving, and other than "built-in" bookshelves (obviously not portable and limiting in their ease of rearranging), these are by far my favorite shelving solution. If I had more room I'd have even more of these shelves. Well worth the price. Ideal for students, small rooms, frequent moves, but nice in nearly any setting (I used a previous set as an entertainment center in my living room). I definitely would recommend these easily portable versatile shelving units.

I know the product details say "some assembly required," but I didn't think it would mean complete assembly required. It really should be possible to ship a foldable book shelf like this fully assembled, since IT FOLDS FLAT BY DESIGN, but for whatever reason the manufacturers decided not to pack it fully assembled in a slightly larger box. It is VERY difficult for one person to assemble these unassisted. They are solid enough once put together, and look decent, but I really doubt they would be secure when stacked. I ordered three of these units, there were substantial cracks in the uprights on two of them, as well as some major chips in the finish on the shelves themselves. Finally, the guide holes for some of the screws were too small initially, and I had to expand them using a large nail. I would not recommend these in the future.

After a little trouble installing the first of four of these shelves, it got better and they are great. They look great, are sturdy and is much, much better than another set of bookshelves. We had a small corner where we wanted to install and run all of our cable boxes, dvd player, etc. This worked great because there is a small cutout in the back of each shelf that makes this perfect for just that. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. We installed in brick, which was a bit trickier, and you have to measure carefully, but good to go!

great simple shelf. strong and large enough to hold my blu-ray and satellite box. very simple install. i had a concern during install, called the number, and a real person answered the phone and helped me out. i had my questions answered immediately, and then i had the shelf installed in 10 minutes. you can't go wrong with this shelf. i would recommend to anyone. you do not have to be a master with tools to install it; the directions walk you through the process step by step.

I would give it 5 stars if it's of better quality for the price I paid. It came with some nicks before I even installed anything. But I'm going to keep it because I don't want to go thru the hassle of returning and all. Also, the color was walnut, it looks beautifully polished and the nicks were less noticeable. Though I'm afraid to put heavy things on it (not sure if it can hold 100 lbs as promised).

I bought this shelf along with the 16" and 12" shelves for my son's nursery. This shelf is huge! I needed at least one of the shelves to fit a small stereo that measured about 14" end to end. I was pretty sure the 16" one would suffice but wanted a set of 3 so bought the 22" as well. The stereo fit fine on the 16" and the 22" one I am using for books and I love it! All of his books fit on it and there's even room left for a few stuffed animals. The color is a deep chocolately brown (what I would describe as "Espresso"). The shelves were just as easy to install as the description claims which surprised me!. Use a level and preferably a second set of hands and you'll be all set! They really do look like they are floating in the corner of the room. My only complaint is that just installing them caused a few knicks and scratches. nothing all that noticeable and if I had installed them with someone else I may have been able to avoid causing them but nonetheless, they are not solid hardwood so be careful! Overall, very pleased!

I installed this myself in less than 30 minutes. It would definitely be easier with two people, so you have someone to help hold up the shelf for drawing lines, and also fo sliding it into the brackets. I'm short, and because of the location of installation I had to lift it above shoulder level. It is very heavy and sturdy. You have to be careful not to tighten the screws too tight or the wood brackets will split. These could have been made of metal to be more stable in the long run. I just hope it stays secure. I only plan to use it for decorative items, nothing very heavy like a t.v. or stereo. I like the open space at the back of the shelf that enables you to slide a power cord through so you can keep a lamp or other electronic equipment on the shelf. Overall this is a great shelf. and it's a nice way to able to use the corner spaces in my rooms.

I found the Monkey Bar Large Garden Tool Storage Rack to be everything the ad said it was. It was easy to install and took only a few minutes. I like the fact you can adjust each of the hooks to the configuration you need for the tools you want to hang. Another nice feature is it doesn't come any further out from the wall than 6". My lawn mower takes up more space than that. One last feature I like is it is very sturdy even though it is not that heavy. I would recommend the Monkey Bar Large Garden Tool Storage Rack to anybody needing to store several garden items.

I have fourteen items hanging from one of these and I could hang a couple more from the back if I bought extra hooks. You could hang more if you put hookeyes in the handles of tools with wooden handles and hung them right-side-up. You could also hang more items if you got some more of the really long hooks--they only send one with the kit.

It's well made, is quite sturdy--it hangs by four really long screws in predrilled holes in two studs--and looks good. The only thing I would quibble about is that it takes a while to get everything level and to drill the four holes with an electric drill before installing it. But it was easy enough. Just make sure you have the center of the stud. Mine are exposed so it was a no brainer (I heard that!). And the holes really do have to be drilled with a 3/16" drill. Any more and the attachment will lose strength. Any less and you will break your hand putting the screws in.

This rack was easy to install with just a level, a tape measure,and a drill. It has made a huge difference in organizing our garage. It's currently holding a gas edger, gas string trimmer, gas blower, 5-gallon and a 1-gallon gas cans, and an electric hedge trimmer. We still have hooks to spare. It was definitely worth the price we paid.

I love this shelving unit. It is simple, yet good looking, and is a nice quality, meaning it is smooth and finish is nicely done. It took me only 20 minutes of putting together. Very easy to do. Highly recommend unit. This matched our oak toilet seat and vanity very well. I love the fact that bamboo resists mold and mildew and is planet friendly.

Served the purpose of displaying my perfume collection. It took a while before I was able to locate a 4 Tier Shelf unit which would hold my collection. I had an older non-standard shelf (no branding) with this type of spacing, but the typical rubbermaid shelving clips don't fit. This worked perfectly for me. YMMV.

The stem (most important bit on how it attaches to the shelving or any other needs) is 3/8" 16. I believe the stem is 1" if not 1.5" long but that should be fine for shelves. Coarse threading (not fine threading).

If you want to test of this will work for your needs, go to home depot and pick up a 3/8" coarse bolt and test for your use.

FYI, harbor freight and home depot has ONE caster with these technical dimensions for $8+ EACH. Great deal at ~$20 for 4.

These were just what I needed for my storage cage. Now I just roll them out to access whatever I need to get. Sure is a back saver.

My wife uses the bakers racks as book shelves. These casters have a relatively soft threaded shank that screws into a fitting on bakers rack leg, and the thread is how you adjust for uneven floors. Well, it bends under stress. Oh well, it does what it is advertised for, but heavier duty would be nice.

Spectrum 51770 Under The Shelf Mug Holder, Chrome

This holder is pretty cool but I have 2 problems with it. First, it has pegs to hold 8 cups but I can't get 8 of my cups on it and my cups aren't overly large. Second, because of the way it fits over the shelf, the door of the cabinet hits the "arms" and prevents the door from closing all the way. I can deal with both of these problems and consider them minor so I still give the holder 4 stars.

This mug holder looks nicer than many, but the way it is built, it is virtually useless unless you have very skinny shelves. It is all one piece that is supposed to slide onto a shelf, but if it isn't a small shelf, it won't fit unless you bend it far apart. Then, once you get it on the shelf, you can't put anything directly above it due to the thickness of the piece that holds it in place. It causes anything up there to fall over because it can't sit straight. I am going to be purchasing a different unit because this is pretty much worthless.

There are more hooks than needed so you can fit the highest ammount of unusual sized mugs. I bought two and fit 6 regular mugs on one and only 4 giant mugs on the other. My narrow width shelves are set in so the rack slips on and does not get in the way of the doors. The mugs hang freely which means they lean forward so I can't slam my cupboard doors or I'll smash my cups but who does that anyways? The doors close easily. The metal holder does stick up on the upper part however it's symmetrical so large flat plates fit nicely, or bowls centered. But I wouldn't put more cups above it without laying a flat cutting board or something similar.

Overall the best looking mug racks durable, well balanced, and above all else functional!

Although it has the capability of holding 6 cups, it can only accommodate 4 regular sized mugs. One gripe, although expected, is the top rods that hug the shelf. They can be made flatter to better utilize the above shelf.

The hooks are spaced a little too close together to hang normal coffee cups on each one. Teacups would probably be fine. Once filled with cups, the rack sags a bit at the end that isn't anchored.

This is a nice product. I ordered two sets, and each set came with a cracked piece. Not enough of a problem for my purposes for me to send them back. Otherwise, no problems putting the sets together. They are sturdy, the doors open well and stay closed nicely, the drawers slide in and out smoothly. All the pieces fit together well. I got storage cubes from Target that fit perfectly with this set. I use it for my kids' toys and books, and I am planning to add on to the set. There was a strong mothball odor initially that is almost gone now--it's been two months. The insides of the drawers still have the odor, but it's not bothersome and should go away completely soon. I would have let it air out outside for a day or two if weather had permitted. Still a very nice set, and I would order it again.

It's overpriced. I couldn't assemble the drawers, the holes did not line up. And once everything is assembled, I coudln't put the individual pieces together so they looked like the picture. That is that the pieces had gaps in between them.

I say that this is worth no more than $40; I should have just gone to Ikea.

The boxes arrived in great shape, however some of the panels had cracks/scratches/dents that weren't bad enough to try and return. The modules were easy to put together, though the roller-bars for the drawers were extremely hard to insert because the pre-drilled holes were a bit off, resulting in the drawers not gliding as well as they should. There was also some missing hardware, but call to the number provided in the instructions went to an actual person who took the info and sent out a new bag of hardware that I received within 10 days. All in all an okay system that is a decent buy for the $$.

Let me first state that I was not looking for designer quality, top of the line furnishings for my children's toy storage. This is most definitely not of that quality. Given that statement, this is a great product for what it is! You receive five units, four 15" x 15" cubes (one open, one with two drawers and one with one door) and a double-cube unit. Each piece of the modular unit comes in it's own box that is packaged in one larger (HEAVIER) box. The directions were very easy to follow and I had no broken pieces (that I could tell).

I did have trouble putting in the drawer slides, but that was a strength issue, not a manufacturing issue. It was simply solved by using a hammer. So, if you lack a bit of strength in your hands or fingers, definitely have one at your side. Be careful, though, as I could imagine a misplaced strike could be devastating to the unit! It is NOT meant to be hammered...

I really like the compactness of the unit when completed and the versatility of design. It is perfect to hold children's books, dress-up "supplies" and all those small toys that just need to be tucked away and out of sight. Yes, if you do not plan on attaching the unit with brackets, the sides/tops will not be flush with one another. The good thing is that there are plenty of brackets and screws to do just that. These pieces can be used separately and apart from one another, but the whole completed modular frame will not be very sturdy unless they are all attached. Take the extra time to figure out your configuration before screwing them all together; it's worth it.

Overall, this item fits my needs perfectly as toy and book storage. It will not win any furniture design or sturdiness awards, nor will it last for 20 years. Don't expect that. It does look very clean and keeps things off the floor, and if you go in to your purchase expecting that, you will be completely satisfied. Love it.

I am a professional designer and was completely impressed with this modular system. Yes, it is efficiently (i.e. "cheaply") made, but for the price, is very clever and easy to assemble. Only a screwdriver is needed, although a carefully used power driver is helpful. A hammer also helps to carefully tap in the drawer guides. I ordered four of the 5-in-1 sets for set up in my home office den, and they all went together easily. Whether there were fit problems with some earlier versions, as some others have written, I cannot say, but those I received fit virtually precisely. All cubes also arrived without damage. The only slight difficultly encountered was with one of the drawer cubes for which the tolerances were tight so the two drawers were difficult to slide in and out. But, a little careful tapping encouragement with a hammer to help widen the cube as much as the fit would allow, solved that problem. I did also find the drawer glides were a tight fit in the pre-drilled holes, but again, careful cushioned tapping encouragement with a hammer got them fully set in, which is important to allow the drawers to easily slide.

The quality of the product is excellent. One problem is that I had ordered 3" high fences that were 13" long. The box is marked 3" x 13" but the product is actually 3" x 11" long. If I was going to order from this company again, which I'm not, I wouldn't know what to order!
