This product was wonderfully packed and easy to put together. It's a two person job due to weight. The instructions don't note that you'll need a level or power drill/screw driver but really helped us in getting the supports under the shelves installed. There were questions about securing this to the wall and even though it doesn't come with anything a L-bracket should easily work out of sight to secure to the wall. Very pleased with the product. Exceeded expectations! Best price online and free shipping it was a deal! (We bought 2).

I didn't like the color of the metal so I painted it flat black before I used it and now I am very happy with it.

Polynesian 60" TV Stand

We like the TV Stand, it fits our decor. But, it is not 60" in length as advertised. It is only 52" in length!!!

Keystone Shoe Bench

Poorly designed and built. The top bench sits above the end pieces exposing unfinished board and the wood veneer is damaged in parts right out of the box. They had one job put all the parts in the box, I am missing one plastic screw cover. Oh and it's not square it's slightly tilted. This is below what I find at Christmas Tree Shop. Does the job but thats it.

I really like this bench, I just wish it were fabricated a little better. There are chips on some of the corners of the wood and the corners don't come together perfectly. In the end, I don't think anyone will be examining my shoe rack at close range but I don't think it is a super good deal. You are getting what you pay for here...good dimensions, a good concept, and shoddy construction.

After getting another one, I did purchase this one, even in-spite of the color being nowhere close to cherry. Additionally, as with the other one, there were chips on the corners of the veneer on each shelf. Fortunately the chips were on the back side so as not to be so evident. All in all a good buy with free shipping.

Pros:

Very easy to assemble.

Amazon's usual lightening fast delivery.

Packaged pretty well.

Stands firm even on carpeting.

Very sturdy since I have about 100 old LP's. I placed 50 on the bottom shelf.

Cons:

Not overly attractive for those who have decorating in mind.

Chipped shelves.

The color was nowhere near cherry, as I had expected.

For anyone needing a low cost shelving solution, this is a good deal. Remember, however, the color is more of a light oak than cherry.

These shelves are very easy to put together, they hold loads of books on the 3 levels, and they are cheap. The product itself is ...or could be ...nice for the price. I just needed a couple shelves for books. I ordered two of them and the corners on half of them were damaged along the way. I don't know if it's a problem at the factory or with Amazon. The damage wasn't so severe that it was worth taking the time to rewrap and send back but still... Without the damage I would have definitely given four stars.

The first thing you notice when unpacking this TV stand is the quality. It oozes out from every "pore." The wood is wrapped well and has a lovely finish; the glass is well-protected and looks bullet-proof. Putting it together was easy, but I did need a buddy to help get the glass in place.

Only main issue I have with this is it is a huge dust magnet! But that's what you get with black smoked glass! Just plan on dusting it often, or live with the dust build-up.

I got this delivered a few days ago and will say that it looks good, but was very difficult to put together. I ended up having to go to a hardware store and buy some of my own screws because the ones that came with the unit broke during the building (fortunately none of the wood was damaged in the process). Also, the glass top didn't fit in place once the stand was put together. I ended up having to take some of the screws completely out in order to get the glass in place and then put the screws back in and was unable to tighten them all the way. I do worry about having too much tension on it and that the glass might break in the future.

Most of the furniture in my house came disassembled, and we frequent Ikea and similar stores so I've spent a good amount of time building this type of furniture.

I don't know if I would recommend this stand to others... It does look good now that it's finished, but I'm concerned about its longevity with the way it all fit (or didn't fit) together.

I purchased this cabinet (one of two different configuration cabinets) for my guest bedroom. The diagram and instructions were easy enough to follow, which is perfect for those of us who are diagramically challanged, which I soooo definately can be! :) and took me about 45 minutes to put together. All assembled it appears to be very sturdy, and will be ideal to keep amenities in for visiting guests or family.

Several sellers offer this cabinet here on Amazon, but I have to say Home and Living went the extra mile. This company contacted me after a bit of a mix up where it was indicated the cabinet had already shipped, then it was backordered, and I'd have to wait longer for delivery. They offered a discount off the purchase price for my inconvenience in having to wait. Now that's truly great customer service in my opinion! Other companies would be wise to take note. I will certainly consider Home and Living for additional furnishings when I move on to renovating my next room.

For the price the Winsome 3 Tier Cabinet is great. The only thing I was unhappy about was that the backing board for the cabinet came in three pieces and was held together by two plastic tracks. I wanted to use the cabinet without baskets in the top shelf, but it looks unfinished.

Looks nice. Really looks nice for the price. Not a "high dollar" finish as some comment, but for the price it will certainly do. Be advised though that the baskets are not so large. I purchased to store 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper and they won't lay flat in the baskets. That being said though, I'm keeping it. I'll get something else for the papers and I'm sure we'll find other things to store in the baskets. Just check the size of the individual baskets.

Spectrum 51770 Under The Shelf Mug Holder, Chrome

This holder is pretty cool but I have 2 problems with it. First, it has pegs to hold 8 cups but I can't get 8 of my cups on it and my cups aren't overly large. Second, because of the way it fits over the shelf, the door of the cabinet hits the "arms" and prevents the door from closing all the way. I can deal with both of these problems and consider them minor so I still give the holder 4 stars.

This mug holder looks nicer than many, but the way it is built, it is virtually useless unless you have very skinny shelves. It is all one piece that is supposed to slide onto a shelf, but if it isn't a small shelf, it won't fit unless you bend it far apart. Then, once you get it on the shelf, you can't put anything directly above it due to the thickness of the piece that holds it in place. It causes anything up there to fall over because it can't sit straight. I am going to be purchasing a different unit because this is pretty much worthless.

There are more hooks than needed so you can fit the highest ammount of unusual sized mugs. I bought two and fit 6 regular mugs on one and only 4 giant mugs on the other. My narrow width shelves are set in so the rack slips on and does not get in the way of the doors. The mugs hang freely which means they lean forward so I can't slam my cupboard doors or I'll smash my cups but who does that anyways? The doors close easily. The metal holder does stick up on the upper part however it's symmetrical so large flat plates fit nicely, or bowls centered. But I wouldn't put more cups above it without laying a flat cutting board or something similar.

Overall the best looking mug racks durable, well balanced, and above all else functional!

Although it has the capability of holding 6 cups, it can only accommodate 4 regular sized mugs. One gripe, although expected, is the top rods that hug the shelf. They can be made flatter to better utilize the above shelf.

The hooks are spaced a little too close together to hang normal coffee cups on each one. Teacups would probably be fine. Once filled with cups, the rack sags a bit at the end that isn't anchored.

John Louis Home Standard Closet System in Maple or Mahogany

I bought 2 of these systems for our master bedroom closet about a year ago and I must say they have really made a big diffence. Several different categories of satisfaction so I'll list them to make it easy as possible:

Aesthetics: The wood,finish and hardware are of considerable quality and look great. I chose the Red Mahogany finish and it truly makes a difference in our closet (we had those regular white wire organizing systems). The edges are soft yet masculine enough to appeal to any husband/significant other and the shelves are reminiscent of a spa-type atmosphere.

Options: The kits include design ideas for numerous closet sizes and configurations and have everything you need. Hardware, drywall reinforcements, touch-up stain, diagrams.

Ease of installation: Although capable of being a 1-person installation the job would be much simpler with 2. Simple enough for the novice handyman, tools required are limted and basic if you have a hammer, power drill/screwdriver and a saw of some type, you're in business. Obviously, the right tool for the right job makes any task easier, but if your toolchest is limited, the above mentioned items will easily get you thru this project. Instructions are easy to follow and installation time isn't long and drawn out; it took me working by myself to completely install one kit approx. 2.5hrs (for our closet, 1 kit outfits one side with some remaining pieces). Be sure to install into as many studs as possible for strength. I hit 90% of the studs in our closet and the shelving is strong enough to hold the weight of my 3-year-old who decided to sit on one of the lower shelves (shoe shelf/rack) to help daddy work:-)

Modifications: If you're really handy and like a challenge, take any remaining pieces to really go all out. Since i needed 2 kits for our closet, the pieces remaining from both kits gave me enough shelving and hardware to place a shelf above the entrance to our walk-in, plus 2 extra stringers and 1 shelf to outfit the back wall of our closet (I then matched the wood and built cabinet doors, drawers and 2 more shelves to give my wife a built-in jewelry drawer).

Pricing/Cost: For the price of the 2 kits (and the extra work/modifications I added) I saved literally thousands of dollars doing the job myself and we got exactly want we wanted in our closet!!

Delivery: I opted for standard delivery and the kits arrived well packaged and by UPS. Each kit weighed approx. 80Lbs. And surprisingly, delivery only took about 10 days

I purchased this system a few months back to upgrade our average "rubbermaid" type closet shelving. The kit is very simple to follow and even possible for a 1-man installation; although two would make it easier. The finish is top-notch and the flexibility of the install is very accommodating. I would suggest wherever possible attach the supports to pre-existing studs for strength and durability. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results and we are now purchasing our second kit to finish the remainder of the closet. I dabble in carpentry so I've added our own touches like a jewelry drawer for my wife, some elegant doors to conceal two of the shelves and even with the modifications, both kits are still well under the estimates we received from closet-specialist type companies. If u have the time, patience and a little experience with a hammer and saw this is definitely worth the price and I'm sure you'll be extremely happy with the results.

We live in a 30 year old manufactured home. (Trailer to most of you young folks). It is a large mobile and we have just the one large double reach in closet and little storage. We shopped the home improvement stores for closet organizers and were disappointed that all we found were laminated or metal wire organizers. The pieces for this set are pretty basic.

3 long pieces (either 48" each or 60" each)

3 2' shelves

4 contoured support brackets

9 or so spacers for the hanging rods

4 6' trim pieces

Tons of hardware (screws, anchors, brackets, etc.)

You really need a good trim saw, or a table saw...I can't imagine cutting the shelves with a hand saw...

It took me a while to "lay out", and design my own little customized piece. I think that I started sawing a little too early, and didn't think to make the shelf on top long enough to be one of the "stacking shelves". But it all worked out in the end...Fortunately, there is plenty of "dummy room" with the brackets in that if you cut a shelf too short by an inch, the bracket will cover for you. I had a hard time with some of the screws and brackets that were to support the shelves. If you wiggled the shelf around trying to get it in to the right spot it "crunched" the wood...Once I got going though, it really came together quickly, and looks great as a final product...Wife is very happy with results...I have tons of hardware left as I used much longer screws to really drive it in to the studs for years of use...Do get some spackle though, because leftover damage from removed wire shelving left nice big holes.

First off, let me explain: we have been married 10 yrs (and lived together prior to that) and have put together MULTIPLE things over the years, I actually see myself as quite the expert on IKEA "building-sets"....But this closet system: OMG! We barely survived it! LOL

We bought 2 sets, originally for the master closet, but ended up using the first set in our toddlers room (second one still in the box as we need a break before doing another closet!) Finished product: AWESOME, but getting there? Not so much... If we had been 2 people working on it I assume we would have had it done in about 3 hours....but seeing we have 2 kids under age 3; this project took 1 1/2 person about 6 hrs and a LOT of not so nice words:-)

The most important tool in addition to a drill/screwdriver and saw is for sure a 3-foot LEVEL. We started with putting all shelves up first and secured it all at the end. The very last step we did was meassure the hanging-bars for clothes (even though it is part of step 1 according to the book) and install them. I am glad we ended up doing it this way.

Make sure you have a level, because when the shelves are to be attached to the cross bars, you need to make sure that each shelf is lined up just right, and this cannot be done perfectly without a level.

I would have given this product a 5, but because of the difficulty of assembling this (and figuring out how to even do it to start with) I only give it a 4. Is it awesome? YES!! Does it look sooooooo much better than any metal shelving out there: YES!! Is it worth saving $800 buying/doing it yourself vs having a professional closetdesigner do it? YES!!! Does our toddler have the nicest closet in our house now? YES!!

I will for sure recommend buying it, but make sure you set off AMPLE time, and have someone a little tool savvy to help out.

Solid Wood TV Console with Drawers

I bought this item based off reviews I read online. Thank you all who wrote reviews before me. It made a difference in my decision. They were right it is darker than it appears and has a red tint to it, similar to a cherry or mahogany look. The top is a very heavy, solid piece of wood almost 2" thick. Now I will saw that they made it seem that it was easy to put together, and perhaps it is for those who are handy. For my husband and I, it took us about 3 hours to do. The hinges were a little quirky, but the whole piece is just perfect. For those who are looking for a media console that will fit all your individual components, this is it. I was considering the smaller, similar 48" piece for my 46" TV, but I have to say, I'm glad we bought the larger 60" with the extra center section. It is a really pretty piece of furniture. I would highly suggest it. I also agree with another reviewer who said they packaged it well we had no dents or issues with dents in it. It was securely cushioned and nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend it.

Fast shipping but when I went to put it together, you have to be an engineer!! I have put together many pieces of furniture but this was by far the hardest. The directions were pictures, which is fine, if they made sense, which was harder to follow. The pieces were not marked and I had to keep looking back and forth to figure them out. Halfway thru, I put the directions aside and was able to do it. It's a nice looking cabinet but just to hard to assemble, plus I could have got one already done, for a few dollars more and a local retailer, which I should have checked on first. My mistake.

I needed a new kitchen cart and had some specific requirements so that it would functional for the area I needed to place it. Holds everything I need. Gave me an extra drawer in the kitchen, although the drawer doesn't work really well no glides for easy movement also the drawer is not very deep still is extra space and I use it tons! If you are looking for something small and functional, this is it!

This cart is solid. It'll take you an hour or so to put together. The same cart would probably cost twice as much assembled, so its worth the trouble. If you have an electric drill with a hex driver, you'll save tons of time. The cart looks good and serves its purpose.

Prepac Black Large Capacity Wall Media Storage Rack

Purchased two of these for placement in an AV closet holding media rack for home theater room. Packed well for shipment, the units arrived in good shape despite the delivery handlers' best efforts to wreck them. As others have noted, the dozens and dozens of pieces arrive finely coated with copious amounts of sawdust. Not wanting to generate a cloud of sawdust next to my AV gear, I wiped down each piece as I removed it from the box. However, given the magical static-electric properties of both the sawdust and the vinyl lined pieces, wiping them with a dry cloth just re-arranges each sawdust particle instead of removing them. You'll need to wipe these down with a swifter, then with a damp cloth to really remove everything.

Next, assembly was straightforward. The instructions were very iconic, though. A few words would have been nice to clarify things, but, consider it a visio-spatial skills test. The four vertical members look alike, as well as the top and bottom, so careful attention must be paid to the location of the pre-drilled holes and their relation to their front/back, top/bottom orientation. Everything fits with dowels and screws, though the precision of the hole line-up when inserting the front trim isn't very good. Nothing a hammer and scrap wood can't overcome.

Mounting is easy with a notched strip and matching strip for the wall. Given the heft of the unit itself plus the weight of the media, drilling into studs is essential. The width of the strip pretty much dictates that you'll only hit two studs, however. In hindsight, adding a drywall mount or two in addition wouldn't hurt, but I just hung with two large 1/4" x 3" wood screws driven into the studs, and I'm too lazy to take everything off now to add more screws.

The shelves are, of course, adjustable. I use one for CD media, and the other DVD media and they look fine.

Now the complaints. First, the vinyl covering must be vapor-sputtered on, as it is microscopically thin. Thus, is damaged by just looking at one spot for too long. Luckily, black magic marker covers the damage. Next, given how much money the manufacturer saved by the thickness of the covering, they could have had the decency to cover the BOTTOMS of all the shelves. Instead, they are a lovely MDF-tan color. Solution, mount the rack low and don't look at it using an upward gaze.

All-in-all, a decent media rack for a decent price when you factor in free shipping. Would I buy these again? Yes. Would I put them somewhere else other than in a closet? Probably not.

This shelf is ridiculously easy to assemble. The first and last assembly steps were the most difficult in my opinion. Hanging on the wall was a breeze just needed some good wood screws, a level and a drill. Also, the backing is high quality and the finished product looks quite solid and professional.

The cons are that this thing arrived with a lot of sawdust in the box though this is not totally unexpected and not something that can't be easily cleaned off. Also, I am concerned about mounting this thing using only the supplied wall bracket. I recommend going to the hardware store and picking up a 1" thick solid wood board and adding it to the back of the shelf. Once the cabinet is hung, drive some additional screws into the studs through this board. It's just me, but you can never have too much support especially when the safety of your family or your media collection is at stake. Also, I don't recommend using a screwgun to assemble the cabinet, as you run the risk of stripping out the screws due to the particle board nature of the wood. There's a lot of weight hanging on two pieces of particle board and 4 screws.

Other thoughts: This is a high quality, thick hard pressed particle board backing. It is quite solid. I will be buying another one of these.

Some screws and dowels are included to assemble it. What really impressed me is just how good it looks when you're done. I won't duplicate all the other reviews, except to confirm that I'm very happy with the product. It's attractive, solid, and is exactly what I expected, based on the reviews I read.

A couple assembly tips that might be helpful. First, based on the reviews, I planned to spray paint the bottoms of the 12 shelves before I assembled the rack. Worked great and I recommend doing the same. Took me about 15 minutes up front to spray them (about 1 hour of drying time). Well worth it.

Second, be careful about assembling things backwards. There are a few things that can just as easily be assembled backwards as properly. Make sure the vertical support pieces are assembled with the dowel holes toward the front (they can be assembled either way, and if you make a mistake, you'll have to go back and undo it). The dowel holes are for the trim pieces later on. The horizontal trim pieces can also be put in backwards (there is thin seam on the back side), and once installed, are probably not to easy to uninstall (the dowels fit snug as you'd want). And finally, the back brace that's becomes part of the wall mount can also be installed backwards just as easily as correctly. Just be careful.

And of course, with the wall mount, I of course recommend, as the directions state, finding a couple wall studs to anchor the wall mount to. But I used a couple extra wall anchors (rated at 75lbs each) just in case.

The Prepac CD cabinet looks great, is very sturdy, and holds everything I have. The only minor negative is that the side molding is wide to the point it covers the first cd or two that are at the edge of the cabinet. Otherwise a great product.

I bought this drawer liner to go in an antique dresser I had painted. The dresser is ivory and I wanted something a little "shabby chic" looking for inside the drawers. This is perfect. The liner is a perfect light black print on an off white background. It is not bright white but a off white like a pale ivory so if you are looing for a stark white background this is not what you are looking for. It looks great and I am very pleased. ALso very easy to install in drawersnot too sticky.

I bought three rolls of this to line some heavily used shelves in my cupboard. The design is very pretty and feminine. The had a very light vinyl odor when unpacked, but that dissipated almost immediately. There is not a trace of it. The liner is very easy to cut and there are lines on the back side to help you cut a straight line. It sticks very well and is easy to remove also. I had some trouble sticking it on correctly to the shelves and had to remove it four times. But it the end its holding really well.

Let's be real: Putting in contact paper sucks, but you're usually doing it because you live in an apartment. Who knows what previous tenants were doing to those cabinets? '_'

For the most part, this contact paper is VERY forgiving. I was a little OCD about getting my corners and lines straight, and I peeled it off and re-stuck it about 5 times without it loosing any stickiness.

Also, the pattern is nice. I wish I were taller so that I could see it in my cabinets...

Basically, this contact paper was as good or better than any contact paper I've used before so, five stars.
