InterMETRO Storage Basket

I made the mistake of building my knitting station with the 14x36" shelves of Intermetro, and none of the other hanging baskets will fit on the short side of those shelves (they're all 18" wide). I hadn't even realized Intermetro made this size shelf until recently and I snapped up two of them, one to hold my hand cards and one to hold my Grid-Its full of needles. Sturdy and looks well with the rest of the setup, as expected.

I may switch to the 18x24" shelves, since all I'd need to replace are the shelves, and if I do, these will still work. So in that sense I consider them a good investment. They'll work on any configuration.

I should have listened to the other poor reviews the quality of this product is terrible. I purchased a 48" and 2 24" shelves and the finish on all three was completely ruined as if they had packed the product before drying was completed or they got overheated and the plastic melted into the finish. The corners were frayed and the hardware for the shelves is completely useless so soft twisting once with a high-power Dewalt drill practically eats the screw heads in their entirety. The weight of the 48" shelf is too heavy for the simple anchor construction so we may have to reinforce if we actually want to put anything on the shelf.

Don't waste your money on this shelf. The quality is absolutely horrible, not to mention it arrived damaged in numerous places.

Akro-Mils 30120 12-Inch by 4-Inch by 4-Inch Plastic Nesting Shelf Bin Box, Green, Case of 24

These bins work great! The plastic is a little thinner than the usual Akro bins that I've used, but not too thin as to be worried about storage in general use. They don't feel cheap. I also like that this seems to allow them to be more compact in footprint. I'm using them with the 30101 small bin cups and these work really well also. There is a little "slop" between the bins, but it does allow for them to be easily removed.

This is a really great idea for decorating and look great. I bought a couple and may buy more.

Likes

* It can really dress up a drab wall. Much more eye catching that just a bookshelf or photo.

* It's easy to install. Just need 3 screws.

Dislikes

* You have to be choosey with the type of books used. The ones I planned to use were too deep and too heavy. The whole thing sagged. The pictures on the Umbra site show some with a whole stack of books. I wasn't able to get more than a couple of hardcover books on it, without the sagging occurring. Wish they had used slightly thicker gauge metal. For the price charged, they could afford it.

* The single version has 2 mounting holes one above another, so it offers more support. In this double version, it has 3 holes, just slightly above the shelf, in a horizontal row. This might limit the weight bearing capacity.

* The bottom support book only provides support if other books provide weight on the wall side. It also assumes the very small support "hooks" stay engaged on the book cover. If a guest decides to pull a book down to look at it, it is very likely the whole stack will come tumbling down. This should be considered a decorative solution, not a way to store books you will frequently use. Be ready to yell "don't touch those" if you seem someone reaching for them. I would not put anything breakable below these.

Despite some gripes I really like these and they look great on the wall. I think there are some things they could do to improve them, but overall I'm satisfied. I'm recommending them.

If there is a book lover in your family then this a great gift idea. It is a fun and decorative way to showcase favorite or old classic books. The books literally look as if they are freely suspended in the air. They also come in several sizes so that you can fit the particular books you wish to display. And with that I give a warning to make sure that you find the right fit for your books, otherwise the shelf will not be completely concealed.

I love this shelf! It is a great way to display my books and so unique. I bought some 'singles' to stagger around and place nicknacks on top of some of the stacks. You do need a medium to large book to fit on the bottom. Easy to attach to wall and they are very sturdy. Pretty good deal I found on Amazon too!

I bought 2 of these for my nursery. It is very cute against a blue wall. My wall was a little too pale, but it still looks nice. Only complaint is that the 3 mounting screws are not white to match the shelf. They tend to stand out.

Also, this shelf is mostly decorative and is only big enough for a few small items.

I had been searching all over the internet and in home stores for the perfect bookshelves. My LO's room has been an ongoing project and everything has been carefully selected. The fact that they are metal does not affect the overall look of the product. They support all of the books I needed to store and look wonderful. This product is teriffic in filling its intended purpose. I have used it for many years, whenever I needed to create storage space by handing these supports from rafters then storing items across them. They are incredible versitle, very strong and ever so easy to install.

Spectrum 51770 Under The Shelf Mug Holder, Chrome

This holder is pretty cool but I have 2 problems with it. First, it has pegs to hold 8 cups but I can't get 8 of my cups on it and my cups aren't overly large. Second, because of the way it fits over the shelf, the door of the cabinet hits the "arms" and prevents the door from closing all the way. I can deal with both of these problems and consider them minor so I still give the holder 4 stars.

This mug holder looks nicer than many, but the way it is built, it is virtually useless unless you have very skinny shelves. It is all one piece that is supposed to slide onto a shelf, but if it isn't a small shelf, it won't fit unless you bend it far apart. Then, once you get it on the shelf, you can't put anything directly above it due to the thickness of the piece that holds it in place. It causes anything up there to fall over because it can't sit straight. I am going to be purchasing a different unit because this is pretty much worthless.

There are more hooks than needed so you can fit the highest ammount of unusual sized mugs. I bought two and fit 6 regular mugs on one and only 4 giant mugs on the other. My narrow width shelves are set in so the rack slips on and does not get in the way of the doors. The mugs hang freely which means they lean forward so I can't slam my cupboard doors or I'll smash my cups but who does that anyways? The doors close easily. The metal holder does stick up on the upper part however it's symmetrical so large flat plates fit nicely, or bowls centered. But I wouldn't put more cups above it without laying a flat cutting board or something similar.

Overall the best looking mug racks durable, well balanced, and above all else functional!

Although it has the capability of holding 6 cups, it can only accommodate 4 regular sized mugs. One gripe, although expected, is the top rods that hug the shelf. They can be made flatter to better utilize the above shelf.

The hooks are spaced a little too close together to hang normal coffee cups on each one. Teacups would probably be fine. Once filled with cups, the rack sags a bit at the end that isn't anchored.

I shopped on-line and brick and mortar for a solid piece of furniture that would fit with our expensive living room set. The pieces I saw were $500-$600 plus delivery or shipping and didn't seem all that sturdy. When this piece arrived, I was really pleased. Made of solid wood and well constructed, it has great space to display pictures, books, and knicknacks. And no assembly required (big plus for me!). Between the reasonable price and free shipping from Amazon, this was a steal.

I am the owner of some Kathy Ireland Portland Loft furniture and I was looking for a matching storage console. There is one in the Portlan Loft line, but it was nearly $500 more than this one. In fact, the Amazon price was remarkably lower than others around the internet, particularly figuring in the free shipping (from California to Maryland!!).

I don't know if I agree with the other reviews that the packaging wasn't all that good I thought it was substantial. It arrived safe and sound, even though it was delivered upside down. It was fully assembled.

There's no comparison in quality between the Portland Loft furniture and this its absolutely worth the $350, but its nothing great. The drawers are made from a very lightweight wood (that will probably not last) and the guides for the drawers are made from the same light wood on the bottom center of the drawer (as opposed to the Portland Loft which uses rugged metal runners on the side)

The wood is made to look distressed, but the repeating pattern of markings makes it look a little cheesy.

The shelves are too low for anything but the shortest of books to stand upright.

I'm not dissatisfied, as I chose to go cheap.

I was so please that Amazon offered this piece of furniture because none of my local furniture stores carried it, nor was it available for them to order.

This sofa table is unique because it has 2 shelves plus 1 shelf with drawers. With my move to an apartment, I lost my built-in bookshelves. This sofa table will allow me to keep some books. The basket is fashionable as well as another storage place.

The color is a little darker than I would have liked, but acceptable. The stress marks to make it look old are too deep and look like bare would from a distance.

Amazon shipped it already assembled, but the UPS man did an end-over-end delivery to my porch, which is probably how the damage to the edge occurred. Luckily, it can be repaired with a stain stick. The box needs the same cushioning support for the top as the bottom. Maybe if the box was labeled, "This side up" it might prevent others from being damaged.

This is a very nice table that we purchased as mainly a TV stand. Not overly deep and very sturdy which is why we liked it. Holds a 46" samsung lcd perfectly. Hiding wires is a little problmatic as the back of the unit is open so we spent a little extra time organizing them. Wood color is pretty dark about equal to a minwax English Chestnut color. Wicker basket is a nice touch and is just about the full depth of the shelf. Unit has a small glass panel in the center portion of the top that is mostly flush with the wood top so no issue putting the tv stand over it. Would have given the unit 5 stars but the distressing treatment they used is a little wierd in that in addition to some hole patterns they used a 1 inch gash pattern that looks like someone took a knife to the unit but in a very non-random pattern. A little less and more random distressing would have made this a 5 star item.

This sofa table is absolutely beautiful and works wonderfully with our new furniture. However, the packaging of the corners needs to be greatly improved. The delivery company obviously dropped the table on one of its ends and split and smashed the front top corners of the table. We are able to and are going to fix them in lieu of returning, but were very disappointed that this happened. The company needs to take better care when packaging their items.

Mesh Shoe Shelf

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I purchased this item. I purchased it based on the photo, which clearly shows TWO shelves stacked together. As the price was comparable to other shoe racks with two shelves, I had no idea that this was for a single shelf. I give it a 3 star rating because we're going to keep it. My daughter loves it, it works well for her dress-up shoes, with ample space underneath for her real shoes (the shoes are directly on the carpet, though, which defeats the purpose of a shoe rack). Had I been on top of things and read the reviews, I would not have purchased this product, because we wanted a shoe rack with two shelves and there are other shoe racks with two and three shelves available on Amazon for the same price.

The lady who reviewed this with one star only did so because SHE didn't read the description properly the cost is PER shelf. I love this product, it's super-easy to use, fairly sturdy and works perfectly in our mudroom. I'm about to order three more to use in my husband's closet. Since you can stack them or not, they work super-well at the bottom of closets to give you extra space. They're also very light and fold flat if you wanted to store them.

I purchased this shoe rack last week, thinking that $20 was a good deal for a 2 tiered, mesh shoe rack. When the rack arrived, it was only half of what is pictured on the seller's page. Other reviewers, who are apparently just argumentative, or who are related to the seller, suggest "reading the details or reviews would have shown me what the product actually was", but thats not acceptable to me even *if* the accurate details really were printed in that section. The image shown is that of a TWO TIERED SHOE RACK. Either modify this picture to show whats actually being sold, or perhaps enough crappy reviews and equally crappy sales will remind the seller of what integrity is all about. Yes, the DIMENSIONS listed of this rack are those of a single tier, but Im not in the habit of corroborating printed measurements with what appears in printed images of the products Im about to buy.

I love this shoe rack. To assemble the rack was easy (just pop out the side). The racks are easily stackable. I could fit 3 pairs of women's shoes on one level or 2 pairs of men's + stacked flip flops on one level. I purchased a total of 4 and have room for more when I need it. This shelf hides the huge stand mixer that I love, but do not love sitting on my countertop. With the pull of two levers, it lifts very, very easily and smoothly up to countertop height and locks with a audible clank so that you know it is secure. Pull the two levers again and it lowers into your cabinet in a very controlled fashion.

It loses a star because the setup was very difficult for my husband and the carpenter working on our kitchen remodel. It took them three hours to figure out how to install this. Of course it was almost midnight when they started so being a bit exhausted may have contributed to their difficulties.

The mechanism requires a bit of cabinetry space. We mounted the hardware onto a store bought cutting board (you must supply your own shelf-this kit is only the mechanism) and had to trim it to approx. 15" for an 18" door opening. So both sides need about 1.5" of clearance for the hardware. This was installed in a base cabinet without a drawer. I don't know if it would work on a cabinet that had a drawer at the top. We put a sliding shelf under it and there should be just enough height to stack a couple of mixing bowls. I would look very carefully at your measurements first.

I'm extremely pleased with this very heavy-duty, smoothly operating mechanism. The assembly was problematic and it does eat a bit of cabintry space. But of course you recoup countertop space so it depends which is more valuable in your household.

This is a good product, and makes it possible to get those big mixers and food processors off the counter. The appliance lift is a rather big mechanism, but it works smoothly without the need for superior strength. It will, however, take up more room than you think. We were worried that it might be wobbily, especially when holding a heavy mixer. But it seems to be remarkably stable and does not move from side to side when using. It has worked for us.

This product is a very heavy duty mixer shelf. My husband actually installed it in a cabinet that had a drawer over the door. If you are going to do this, make sure you measure carefully as the mixer shelf will take up the entire lower cabinet--from top to bottom. You need to allow room for the height of the mixer and for the fact that the mechanism swings all the way to the bottom of the cabinet. If you install in a cabinet with a drawer over it, please consider that the shelf for the mixer will not come up to the height of the counter top, but it will be approximately 4-5 inches below the counter top. I have a large 6-quart Kitchen Aid mixer which is quite tall and I am only 5'1" tall, so it works perfectly for me. It is actually at a more workable level for me than when it was sitting on the counter top. We found that installing it with this set up meant that the mixer would have to sit parallel to the counter due to the height restriction of having a drawer over the cabinet. The instructions were excellent and my husband said they were easy to follow. It does take a long time to install because you'll need to do a lot of precise measuring. My cabinets are white and we used a 3/4" thick x 15 3/4" deep piece of white prefinished shelving from Home Depot and my husband cut it approximately 20 1/2" long and left the 15 3/4" side uncut. The shelving works great because it is the recommended 3/4" thick and is finished on three sides. He placed a 2" high piece on the 15 3/4" backside as a 'backsplash' so that I can store attachments there and they won't slip off the shelf and end up in the back of the cabinet. The delivery was so quick we couldn't believe it. This device will be a God-send for me and I look forward to never again having to lift that heavy mixer from my cabinet.

I purchased this device to lift a Kitchen Aid 6 qt mixer and a juicer. The cabinet is 20 inches wide and 23 inches deep. I ended up with a shelf for the mixer that was 15 1/2 in. wide by 21 in. deep. This was more than the instructions would have given me. I did several things to maximize the storage space.

First, I attached a board to the side of my workbench to simulate the side of the cabinet. I used masking tape to sketch the depth of the slab overhang, the slab thickness and the cabinet top thickness. I mounted one of the side mechanisms to the workbench board and kept adjusting its location so the shelf would provide internal clearance as well as come out and be just a little above parallel with the countertop when extended. The top surface of my workbench simulated the top of my countertop slab. This took a little trial and error, but it certainly was easier than trying to do this inside the cabinet. When satisfied, I made a carboard template of where the side mounting plate was located in relation the cabinet front and top. Then it was simply a matter of attaching the template to the cabinet and drilling some holes.

Some things to keep in mind:

1. My cabinet door hinges interfered with mechanism, so I had to add an additional 3/4' block to that side. I also removed the soft-closing device from one of the hinges and remounted it out of the way. This regained 1/2" more shelf width.

2. When I had the two side mechanisms on my workbench I should have adjusted the spring attachment bolt to the highest range. It is much easier to do this before you install the mechanism in the cabinet!!!

3. Keep in mind that the mechanism, when retracting, is at it lowest point as it enters the cabinet, then rises slightly when finally stowed. This could interfere with anything stowed below it. In my case, about 2/3 of the vertical interior cabinet space was used by this device.

Finally, let me say that this is one rugged and well made mechanism. I'm sure I could put at least 60 lbs on it and have it rotate out to cabinet height with little assistance. Just do what you can to understand its motion before you try to install it.

Zenith Products 2214HB 4-Shelf Tub and Shower Tension Pole Caddy, Oil Rubbed Bronze

This was one of the more disappointing purchases I have made in a long time. The "Satin Nickel" finish is realy just grey paint. We could live with that, however, when we installed it in our bath/tub shower combination guest bathroom the pole bowed and was very wobbly. I tried several measuers to reduce the wobblyness and was getting ready to try gluing the poles together when I decided to check out the reviews (we bought this at Home Depot). The reviews of the other version of this are terrible. I then found a stainless steel model from simplehuman and ordered it after seeing the 13 5 star ratings and nothing less. The 5 year warranty is incredible. I prefer to spend the money now instead of every 2 years.

I find that I have to replace my corner shower shelves about every two years as they get rusty. This is the first chrome one I've purchased and I was eager to install it. It looks really nice and is quite easy to assemble, but I am perpetually annoyed when I set things on it. The shelves tilt downward ever so slightly, so half the time when I set a shampoo bottle on one of them it comes tumbling off. It looks like I am stuck with this for the next two years.

I'm not sure if the reviews here are about this same product!?? I found the instructions to be well written, assembly relatively simple, poles and shelves nicely chrome finished and far more sturdy than I ever expected. I admit it would probably be wobbly if it was freestanding. But in this case it's right in the back corner of the tub , which I am assuming is exactly where it was designed to be placed and we've got it loaded up with 18 bottles of product, several of which are nearly full, weighing in at a whopping 20-32ounces, each. Although the instructions recommend carefully cutting off of the shortest pole in one inch increments as per a chart . . . I lazily opted out and completely omitted one of the pole sections to fit the lower ceiling in this particular bathroom. I truly expect this thing to last for years to come! I am storing the extra piece in the linen closet with the assumption that in the event of a move, this caddy is coming with me. I do gladly recommend this product!

I bought this item from a seller on Amazon, they failed to ship so Amazon directly and quickly handled the situation with sending me one that shipped directly from Amazon. I had a white one that lasted a year and rusted and began to look horrible. This replacement caddy is nice for the money. I can see it lasting for a longer period of time. The finish is nice as are the shelves. I am extremely pleased with this item and Amazon for their quick efforts to please their customers.

I found this pole caddy easy to assemble, I didn't even need to read the instructions. The caddy fit between my tub ledge and ceiling using the two long poles.

The pole caddy did bow a little when I first tried to install it, but by pushing the caddy fully into the corner and making sure the spring-loaded top section was lined up correctly with the bottom of the pole, the bowing was corrected.

Some reviews mentioned that the shelves lean forward, the shelves on my caddy are level. I was able to fill the shelves with the multitude of hair-care products that my daughters use.

This pole caddy feels flimsy compared to the unit it replaced, but for $20 it was a better solution than trying to remove the rust from my old pole caddy.

I can't say how lucky I am to be an Amazon Vine reviewer. A few months ago they blessed me with a new tv, it extended over the edges of my existing tv stand. Then, I saw this for review and snatched it up, perfect for my new TV! No more hanging over the edge with fear of my 6 year old bumping it as she bounced off the walls, lol. The stand itself is very lovely, especially for particly board, but you can hardly tell! The black goes with anything, and matches well with my other wood colored curio cabinet and coffee and end tables well. Since my TV is black, the two blend well together no problem. The frosted glass is what really makes this stand POP! and look classy, rich, and worth so much more money than it is. I am not sure I would pay the price if it wasn't free, but that is not to say it isn't worth the price vs. me being a broke college student who mostly buys the cheapest I can afford. I love, love, love this stand and am so happy to have gotten it as it really compliments my home and living room, and everyone loves it that sees it. If anything, it makes me want to buy nicer things now to slowly bring the rest of my home up to "code", lol. Which I have slowly been doing through the years anyways. Highly recommended. Stand is very heavy, requires two people two lift and put together and move, but isn't too difficult to put together with help.

First thing first this weighs over 100 pounds so be prepared to have help moving it into your house and placing it in the room it's going in.

Second I am not great at putting things together. I attempted this but had to wait for someone with more patience (ok, yes, my husband...)but he only cursed 3 times and had it together in about an hour so I'd have to say it wasn't that bad for someone who only occasionally puts things together (meaning, you don't have to be a carpenter or engineer.)

Third I did receive this for free for "testing/review purposes" so when it comes to price I have to ask myself, would I spend this amount of money (Amazon is charging 202.00$ ). It is particle board however, it's very sturdy and I love the design I've seen nothing like it while shopping for TV/Entertainment stands so I'd have to say I probably would buy this as it fits so well with my decor which is warm/rich/homey with modern touches.

I esp. love the cabinets and the cloudy panes. Unusual and so many people make positive comments on it!

It's not as sturdy as say...cherry or oak...but then again, you're not paying 800.00 dollars a good thing to keep in mind!

The lower shelves have a back portion that keeps stuff from falling out the backside of the shelves. The back portion has multiple openings that permit cables to be routed to any components placed on the lower shelves. The openings are large enough that standard connectors easily pass through the openings, making connections between components easy and fast.

The stand is black with silver or aluminum accents, which include support posts and handles. The color is such that this stand would fit well with many room decors. Similarly, the color matches most electrical devices well.

This television stand comes disassembled, so be prepared to have some basic tools for assembly. Assembly requires at least a #2 and a #3 Philips screwdriver and a hammer. I also used a dead blow hammer to help push pieces together and to minimize the potential for damage during assembly, but the dead blow is for ease of assembly and is not required. It is definitely easier to put together with two people because of the weight of the components and the size of the components.

I thought assembly was generally easy without any complications. Two portions of the assembly require a bit of mechanical capability. The doors may need slight adjustment for best fit, which involves three possible adjustments and a bit of time if you tend to be a perfectionist. The other small challenge is nailing the back on the television stand, which ideally needs two people to keep the back in position while hammering the nails through the back and into the wood of the stand. A bit of care is needed to be sure the nails angle into the wood and not into air.

Speaking of weight, this television stand is heavy. Our "television room" is in the basement, which means that this 100 plus pound television stand had to go down the stairs. It took two of us to maneuver the stand down the stairs and out of the way. It also took both of us to get everything together. On the flip side, this stand has the strength to support your flat screen television and all the assorted paraphernalia that you like to attach to it.

This television stand is pretty, functional, and reasonably easy to assemble. Less expensive options exist, that may also be lighter, but they also have fewer features and are less attractive than this stand. If you are looking for something to complement your television room furniture that provides lots of room for electronics, a few movies, and other miscellaneous stuff, this stand could be the one for you.

This review is for Alera# SW604818BA 18x48x6ft but other Aleras are very similar: Screw-together posts, fast (well under 2 hours) easy assembly, all-welded heavy wire shelves, nice, permanent finish. As an engineer I say it's an excellent, sturdy design. // My first buy was two units. Only a couple of holes were in the cardboard boxes UPS delivered. It was a different story inside!! On one shelf, both girder-like sides were neatly bent up 20 degrees. There were no matching bends in the box. The bends were not UPS's fault; they were factory errors or maybe a 10 ft. drop onto concrete. // Another shelf had a heavy longitudinal support wire welded to the wrong side of the end girder! The whole shelf was a misshapen slope, but they painted it and shipped it anyway! // A third shelf had a depression of multiple bent wires across an 8-inch area. // All of those shelves were useless, but since you can't get replacement shelves, I built one unit out of the good parts, then put all the bad parts into one box and returned that unit for credit to vendor "C". Then I bought a third unit from vendor "O". It was OK. Conclusion: If you buy an Alera, make sure you can return units easily, read the seller's fine print, and choose a reliable vendor! // More on packaging: The shelves are stacked inside the box with thin plastic spacers at the corner holes where posts go. 8 heavy steel half-posts are shipped between two shelves. ALL 24 post halves were loose and freely banging around as delivered! Two caster sets, ditto. These were accidents waiting to happen, as 4 of the half posts have precision screw couplers preinstalled with no protection. // On assembly: Don't screw together the posts first as the assembly picture shows. Decide where you want your bottom shelf, put the plastic clips for that shelf on the bottom posts, then slide the posts into that shelf horizontally and press them solidly to make a "shorty" unit. Flip the shorty unit so it's standing correctly vertical and build upwards, screwing in the upper posts when you need them. Make your shelf location decisions before assembly, as the Alera units must be disassembled with hammer and luck to change shelf locations. // Final note: Target sells a copycat version of this that is considerably cheaper and considerably flimsier. I bought 2 and now am wiser--though all of Target's shelves were good.

One of the best looking storage shelf ever. Never bought anything from this brand before. I have to say, design is simple with a touch of elegance. Every shelf has a rivet edge around all sides. It may seem very little to bare mentioning but it certainly looks much better than your ugly industrial-looking shelves. I didn't know what is Anthracite until I google it. It is some sort of hard compressed coal material that is very strong yet light. When I got it, sure enough, it is not too heavy for this size of shelving. The instruction was easy so I assembled it within 15 minutes. They threw in extra 4 connectors in case any of them breaks. So I thought it was very thoughtful of them. The color was more of a gun metal color. So it is not quite totally black. You do have the option of using the wheels or without. So that is great. I think the weight capacity is around 800-1000 lbs. Highly recommended if you can find it for a good price.

These shelves were simple to put together. The shelves are sturdy enough to hold stacks of junk I had collecting on the floors of my garage such as boxes full of paint, sports bags, old pots, etc. I have no problem moving these shelves into different locations thanks to the casters. My only critique are the brakes on the casters. They're small and take a bit of effort to lock in place. Summary, I'd buy more if I needed more shelving space.

These are great shelves. They go together easily. The wheels are great, because I can build the shelves where I have room, and then roll them to the rum they have to go to. I have put together about 5 of these to date, and haven't been shorted any parts.

We did a lot of research into which shelves to buy for our garage before finally settling on these. I bought five units to clean up my garage directly via an Amazon Prime seller. I received the shelves in less than a full business day, and the packaging and the like were in good condition. They are a bit heavy to lug around if you are older, but definitely worth it to get them sent directly to your home. As far as construction, I would HIGHLY recommend doing this with two people and that you read the directions carefully. I would also suggest a rubber mallet to secure the edges and seat them properly. The first time through it took us about thirty minutes to figure out how to assemble correctly, but after the first one it took maybe fifteen minutes.

As far as quality of the shelves, they are worth every penny. We had bought a flimsier version before and I always worried about overloading the shelves. I have no fear with this model, and the wheels glide super smoothly, even when the shelves are fully loaded. The brakes feel a little less than sturdy, but my spouse had no problem with them, so that may just be me. They are a lovely gunmetal grey, and blend well with the garage.

Overall, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to clean up a garage or basement. It is a lot easier to assemble with two people though, and I would suggest doing it in an open area, where you can move the poles about freely.

Great construction and solid build. Looks very nice.

The only knock, and it's trivial, is that if you run a lot of hot devices in it due to it's closed construction you can get some heat build up. This isn't a knock of the model, but just of the closed-off older style classic design. It's not so bad on ours but is noticeable.

The body is a mix it looks like of real wood and heavy duty press board: very solid. The backing is the typical ultra-heavy sort of thick cardboard/woody material you see these days, that you nail into the frame. There a couple of holes pre-formed into it for running wires into it. I imagine just opening up these holes some more would allow enough heat to bleed off, but I'm not sure what it would do to the strength of the unit. If the vendor sees this they should respond.

We had a more modern open-faced metal and glass entertainment stand in our living room, but with a crawling baby short of putting an ugly fence around it there was no way to baby proof the modern open-face one.

This thing is a piece of cake to baby proof: put a restraint on the cabinet doors, on the drawers if needed, and toss an earthquake strap on the back, which I'll be doing this weekend.

After our 5 year old broke our last tv on a stand that had wheels and knocked a component loose, we decided we couldn't get a new tv until we had a stable stand. This piece looks nice. My husband put it together pretty easily, except the doors are a little tricky to line up right, as there is not much room for error. It is very sturdy and looks nice. Doors work easily. We keep a cable box, modem, router and a PlayStation 3 in the glass shelved part. It usually does not overheat; however, a couple times we've heard fans and open the door, which solves the problem.

Good product but I made the mistake of ordering the bracket size by measuring the old backet. The size is not the size of the backet but of the shelf. No big, I had to bend the lower tab a bit to make it flush with the wall.

The packaging is simple; comes in a plastic bag. Mounting hardware is included, and we appreciated that installation instructions were printed on the packaging and were simple to follow. Installed the shelves in about five minutes. You also need the shelf (not included) and the other clips that attach to the wall (not included).

I have not received the product yet but I will update this review at that time. I went to the other website for Zoro and found that I could get this with 24" wide shelves like I wanted for just a little more money. Total was $69.99 each but with Free shipping. One negative is that it doesn't say how long it will take to ship. It had another shipping option for USPS but it still didn't really say anything.

We live in So. California so using low bookshelves are nice in order to avoid all sorts of falling books in an earthquake. I purchased 4 of these shelves for my studio and they fit the bill perfectly! They arrived nicely packed and just snapped together in minutes. These would be perfect for a child's room to hold toys, because they are light weight, but sturdy. They would be a safe storage area for young toddlers.

The American building supply store Lowes sold the same format shelving, but the brand name was different, definitely not Furrino. The shelving at Lowes was stronger in many ways:

The vertical tubing was 2", not 1" (Lowes had both diameters, the 2" was stronger, I don't think Furrino makes a 2" tube option)

The vertical tubing normal size was slightly shorter 12" instead of 13-1/4" (Lowes also had 8" and 16" tubing).

The Lowes four top cover package had a 2" suction cup inside the package which is used to tighten the top covers tighter than you can by hand grip.

The standard size depth of the boards was 16" instead of 12" (This Furrino 3 shelf set here has 9-1/2" (see diagram), the Furrino 4 shelf set is 12". The greater the depth (compared to the width) the more square the base, which makes things more stable.

The Lowes version tubing was a tighter fit into the 4 holes in the board corners.

As it is here, this Furrino set is sturdy enough for hardbacks, but not large ones like an encyclopedia set on higher shelves. The Lowes set was sturdy enough for that. You could put very heavy books on the Furrino, but I would do that only on the bottom shelf.

Hints: If you have only one shelf set, try to arrange furniture so you can put that in a corner. That way two sides of the bottom shelf will touch the bottom wallboards. The distance from floor to the bottom of the bottom shelf is 1-1/2", from floor to top of bottom shelf is 1-7/8". This is perfect to be able for it to touch a standard 2" boarding located at the bottom of many walls in a typical house. And this adds stability.

If you have any 1" wide suction cup (aquarium shops) it will allow you to tighten the top four flat covers a tiny bit tighter. And the top cover board will be a tiny bit more stable.

I bought two of these 3 shelf units and turned it into 1 five shelf unit which of course uses all 4 sets of four tubes and five boards. This leaves over 4 top caps, 4 feet, and one board as excess. The board will come in handy for something some day and is easy to store. I placed the shelf set in a corner. I would be willing to put hardbacks on the four shelves, but not the very top cover board. If not in a corner, or at least against a wall, I would not try that with the Furrino versions.

Easy to put together. Looks nice and you can't tell the legs are plastic just from looking at it. One shelf was slightly damaged...not really that noticeable, but I still feel that things shouldn't be sold when they are damaged.....I'm ordering a 2nd one to put side by side in my kitchen to keep my laptop on and my recipe notebooks and a basket that I keep plastic bags in for reuse. It doesn't take up a lot of space and college students could probably make good use of these for the price. It isn't heavy like other bookshelves so it is easy to move and quite sturdy....much better than I expected it to be......very pleased with it.
