Conceal Bookshelf -Large

I bought this for easy access to commonly used reference books for my home office. I chose the large shelf expecting that it would hold seven or eight fairly large garden books (9 x 11 x 3/4" on average). I've found that the little shelf will hold 5 of these books (4" total height, including the base book) securely, 6 and the shelf flexes some, and any more and it feels overloaded. A bit more thickness in the steel would have made the shelf considerably stiffer and stronger. The image here on Amazon shows a shelf with 9 books (including the unusable base book). Maybe that load would be possible given the modest size of the books and the way they are stacked with decreasing perimeter-size toward the top (strength of an "L" shaped shelf is near the wall).

For larger books the load capacity of the shelf is quite limited, though it still works for my needs. I would recommend buying the smaller shelf at 2/3 the price of the large version as I doubt that the large holds anymore weight and probably really accomodates little more size, if any, because of the way the shelf holds the base book.

My shelf came with a minor paint defect and I think the large shelf is a little pricy at $16, though it is nicely packaged.

All in all, it's a simple, clean-looking little shelf that provides a very compact, inexpensive, and easily-installed solution for limited capacity book-holding.

I sceptically bought two to put beside a kitchen window for small plants, and now I own at least a dozen and am buying more. These little delights really do everything the ad says. I was able to put my teacher books above my desk and printer area, freeing up room for my sewing machine by ditching a bookcase. They hold the weight they say they will. My only advise is to buy molly bolts that you know will hold a certain weight just to be on the safe side. I bought ones that each hold 65 pounds, and now I never worry when a grandchild loads down a shelf. This little invisible shelves get tons of attention from my guests. They are quite a conversation piece.

I recieved 3 of these as a gift and love them. I personally didn't have a lot of books that would work as the bottom book so I had to separate a collection to use as a base for each and then stack other, smaller books on top. This will not fit your standard hard cover book for the base book. But if you have a few that will then it works just fine. I found out later that they also had some smaller ones available and will pick those up in the future as well.

This is a perfect bookshelf. My books look as if they are just suspended on the wall. I am in the process of decorating my apartment and wanted a shelf that would showcase the books, not the shelf. I have a mix of hardcover and paperback with 8-9 books on a shelf and all is well. I did not install them into a stud as my studs are metal and I didn't want to purchase additional hardware. I used the hardware given and put them into the wall. Two weeks and counting and they are holding just fine and are very sturdy. I ordered 3 and am looking to order another one soon. The product itself is fine. It's exactly as described. My problems with the product had to do with the problems I faced because of my apartment. Trying to install this on drywall is near impossible, though the product's instructions address this adequately, so I don't blame the manufacturer. My only problem with this product is it does not hold much weight. When you are a student with many textbooks to manuever, this is pretty critical. Otherwise, I am really thrilled with the design of the product.

I purchased for my kitchen. This shelf is very attractive and just the size and look I wanted for my countertop. I would purchase from this company again without hesitation. I got exactly what I wanted and the price was right.

I have searched hi & low for a good value in wrought iron for the kitchen. I am surprised at how expensive most of it is, plus they get you on shipping because it is heavy. This is the second piece of Amish wrought iron I've purchased here on Amazon and it will not be my last, I will also highly recommend this line to others..... Yes, there are no hardware items included. Don't let that dissuade you from the purchase. I used large, long nails that had large nail heads, found the stud in the wall and hammered the nail into the stud until about 1/2" or so to the wall. Keep the nail at an angle, as if you were going to hang a picture. I also used smaller nails to balance the piece in a similar fashion but the main support is provided by the large "anchor" nail. The shelf is very stable & I used a black marker to hide the steel color of the nail.... you can not notice it. My husband was impressed (Mr. Construction).

I will use the top shelf for platters and the bottom for other items, like books or bar accessories, this piece hangs over our "bar" area in the kitchen. Plus, you can hang items from each of the four corner hooks that would serve as legs if used on top of a counter or desk. I just made sure to hang the shelf so that the hooks cleared the bottom of the archway I hung the shelf on so that all four hooks are available to use. If that is not possible then you could still use the 2 front hooks if the back two are against the wall when hung.

I also have just ordered the "corner" small shelf.

I am VERY pleased with the quality and the value. Plus, the items were shipped quickly at no extra charge.

Now that it is put together, i am satisfied (almost) with a nice big stand for a good price. I am leery of laminate but overall was well done. top piece has laminate wrapped all around the corners as one piece which I like so hopefully the corners won't come apart eventually like some other laminate furniture I've seen. a few tiny dings here or there but nothing a brown marker couldn't fix. Not perfect but good enough. drawer glides nicely and bottom of drawer is thin but will be fine for a few wiimotes etc.

I wasn't especially impressed with the packing job as all the little pieces of wood were just loose including the metal drawer glides and whole thing was just padded with thin sheets of styrofoam, nothing wrapped in plastic at all. plenty of hardware though and that was bagged.

WORST part were the directions. Half sheet of paper, one side with four pictures. thats it. No labels on anything, no instruction on what size screws go where... If you're not very good at putting things together and figuring it out on your own, don't get this piece. Boards are held together by a combo of dowel pegs and camlocks. On mine, after I had the whole thing put together in the order they indicated from the FOUR pictures and had used the camlocks on the bottom in the predrilled holes...there seemed to be no way to lock on the top and it seemed they predrilled the holes for drawer glides on the wrong end of the board so i had to perfectly re measure and redrill those as well. overall took me 4 hours. i'm very precise so it turned out fine for me (almost) but still a pain. after it was all done, I kept thinking about those few items that didn't make sense and have come to the conclusion that the camlocks were to lock on the TOP and then use screws on the bottom from the underneath! maybe I missed a clue in the "directions" and so I redrilled the holes for nothing and its all together wrong though no one would really know, it will just annoy me forever. the little silver feet were a mystery also with no instructions...the black caps on them pop off to allow screwing them onto the bottom. i liked it better with them off anyway.

I liked the glass doors for keeping dust out of electronics and they roll on plastic wheels in a plastic lined groove on the bottom so that was engineered nicely. the two glass pieces were shipped in a separate box. overall four stars for a laminate piece of furniture but two or less if you require good detailed instructions. Had I had just two or three critical pieces of info that I left in my own review, would be liking it better...hope this helps the next buyer! Tip: use the longest screws on the bottom board to secure it to the vertical boards, medium screws for the drawer assembly and securing the shelf above the drawer, then the short ones for everything else.

This is a very good looking stand especially for those looking for a wider stand as most come in 60".

It comes together fairly nicely assuming you can figure it out. The directions only show four steps, so needless to say they were very poor and inadequate. But if you've put together any ikea type furniture it shouldn't be too difficult. It did take me about 2 hours to get everything put together.

The drawer assembly and hardware aren't very good. The drawer looks good but it's very difficult to get it aligned. Definitely say its more for looks than function.

Don't use all the little brad nails on the backing to the main unit. You will need some of the nails for the bottom of the drawer.

If you want to put electronics on the side, there aren't any pass through holes in the backing. I first thought to cut new holes in the backing on the sides but figured out you can pass the wires through the center hole and push them in front of the backing on the inside going to the sides.

My wife bought this the other day and we were excited to put it up. Missing items: screws and anchors. We bought 2 so one of them had the 2 screws and 2 wall anchors. The other one didn't have it. Had to make a trip to Lowe's for the parts that should have been included. Also, knowing how these things are installed, I kinda knew how it should go on the wall, but having instructions would have been helpful too.

As for the product itself, pretty standard compared to everything else out there. If the screws, anchors, and instructions were included, I would have given this at least a 4 star review.

One of the cheaper shelving units around. However, be warned that the 36 Inch version of this has mounting holes spaced 24" apart, which means you will only be able to anchor one screw into a stud, the other goes into a very large drywall hole that you will have to prep. Not awesome, but decent.

This bookcase looks nice if complete. It would have taken me less than 20 minutes to assemble, but the middle shelf was not the right size or the predrilled holes were off not allowing the back panels to slide into place.

This is a nice little cabinet and fits the small space in the bathroom where it is placed. It was easy to put together, but the glass in the door was broken when we got it even though it was packaged well. Haven't yet contacted Amazon about a replacement glass and will update review after I do.

We have a fair amount of Sauder furniture, and are generally happy with it.

This is the next step up. It assembles in almost exactly the same way, with similar hardware of slightly higher quality.

The wood is the real difference. It looks and feels more solid, and the back pieces are far more substantial. Sauder gives you a thin sheet and nails. This has a thin board with pre-drilled screws.

We will be looking to this brand when we need new bookshelves and stuff in the future.

I purchased this to go with a kitchen island that had no inside shelves. I subsequently cancelled the island because it was too big so decided to use this in my bathroom cabinets which do not have shelves. Lots of wasted space under the sink counter in the bathroom and this helped me create height to utilize more space (I sure needed more storage). Although it's a bit smaller than I anticipated, it serves it's purpose nicely. I'm thinking of ordering more because I have 4 more doors under the counter that sure could use this extra shelving. They are good quality and can take a bit of weight nicely. Sure, they're not pretty but since they are inside a cupboard I don't care because they solved a big problem for me.

I already have installed similar drawers from several vendors. I tend to prefer Rev-a-Shelf, but have been happy with all of the vendors. The benefits of this drawer are that not only does it fit where other drawers might not due to the sink plumbing, but it is absolutely incredibly easy to install, very sturdy, has heavy duty liners installed in the event you need to store items that could prove caustic in a spill, it has both a full lower and a half upper drawer, and, you can readily disconnect the entire system if you need to carry cleaners, etc. to other parts of the house.

Shipping was very fast, packaging was great and it arrived in perfect condition.

The only drawback is that it is shorter and narrower than my other slide out drawers, buy this was necessary to be able to install it where there is considerable plumbing against the back wall. These drawers so simplify storage and retrieval of items located in hard to reach areas of cabinets that I have installed various sizes and types in the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms. They are beautifully made, incredibly practical and well within the means of anyone with a drill, marker, screwdriver and a minimum of DIY interest. My wife and I heartily give them a 5 star, in spite of the cost.

We found cheaper versions in the hardware store, but they were not nearly so attractive. These are chromed stainless steel, glide easily on the rollers and a great low cost yet useful addition.
