ClosetMaid 2-Door Stackable Laminate Organizer

We have had our cabinet for well over a year and have had no complaints so far. Other reviews have lamented broken doors and weak hinges, and buyers should really take those reviews into consideration, but it hasn't happened here. However, our cabinet endures only the lightest use. We bought this cabinet to serve as a small liquor cabinet/bar area in our master suite. We wanted something that closed up out of the way and didn't draw attention to itself, something inexpensive yet functional, and something we could reuse for another purpose later. This fit the bill. We installed wine glass racks inside for the upper space, and store liquor bottles in the lower space. (We only used one shelf.) We placed marble tiles on top and our wine sits well on top. Small hooks on the inside and doors for bar accessories, and this has turned into a very small, very practical piece.

However, we don't open or use this cabinet every day. Not even close. If you plan to use this cabinet for daily use, the less-glowing reviews that reveal the hinge flaws are more appropriate. If you plan to use the cabinet for storage, but not daily opening (like us), this review might be more appropriate.

The rest of the Closetmaid line may be OK, but the cabinets have doors. The particle board on these doors is not strong enough to hold up with the pin hinge that is inserted. Within one month of use, two of my three cabinets had doors that literally fell off due to the particle board breaking off at the lower outside corner, therefore no longer being able to hold it's pin hinge. I might try to install home depot door hinges on them to repair them.

This cabinet has a really low price, which is nice. But it is really poorly made. It is the cheapest fiberboard. It does look nice in the picture. But I think that you will not be at all happy when you actually get the unit. I bought two of these, and one arrived with a panel cracked.

I've had this for a day so I can't tell much about durability. But I figure if I use it with care and not rough it will be fine. Easy to assemble.

Cabinet looks great. SHipment came very quickly from California (we're in Ohio). Glass and cabinet piece was not damaged packaging did good job. One problem with the latch that closes the glass panel; the screw holding in latch was loose so we put in a bigger one to hold it firmly.

I was a little skeptical when I ordered since I knew it would be a whole glass side. I had images of broken glass falling out onto the Christmas tree when my husband opened the case for Christmas. No such thing happened. The case was beautiful, even better than what I'd expected!

I purchased one for my husband so he could display his O gauge trains. He liked it so much we purchased a second one. Both arrived fast and undamaged. One suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make it wider so that (3) 15" O gauge cars could fit on one shelf. Currently I can only get 2 passenger cars on one shelf.

Originally ordered the HO scale case in walnut finish. The packing box came marked as walnut but the display case was in the black finish. Impressed with the quality of construction, finish, and care in packaging provided for the price. My only minor criticism is the shelf space is really tight in both depth and height for some HO cars and locomotives. Due to the case being in the wrong finish, I returned it and re-ordered another in walnut but this time in the O scale size to provide more room for the HO equipment. Had an easy and very good experience in the return authorization process. Will most likely order additional case if this works out. Again, very good quality for the price.Also, I would probably beef up the hanging hardware if planning to use for display of heavier items like collector-quality locomotives; this can be done very easily.

I ordered the HO & O scale display cases. Both look very good and are sturdy. I recommend screwing a cleat to the wall then hanging the case from the cleat. I wouldn't hang it using the hollow wall anchors supplied. I was expecting a glass front but it turned out to be some type of plastic probably better than glass. Company representative was great to work with and answered my e-mails very promptly. He even refunded my shipping on one of the cases when it did not arrive on time.

Incredibly heavy with no instructions. Couldn't figure how to use it so I returned it. The system needs to be more "user-friendly" for non-professionals.

The system and the panels were easy to install and makes for a good looking closet. Not all pieces I used from EasyTrack worked so well together and took some adjustments not in the installation to make work together.

Inter-LOK ILTOWERXX Storage Cabinet

I bought two of these and love them. They were so easy to put together. I didn't need any help at all. I anchored them to the studs and are extremely sturdy. I also have the slat wall between them and the heavy duty shelves. Finally I am getting organized!!!! I put drawers on the bottom half of the tower and love the way they turned out too!

Shelf is absolutely great, only reason why it didn't get 5 stars was because with the "easy assembly" the bottom shelf's pegs didn't line up with the holes and I couldn't get the shelf to be flat. After a bit of finagling, pulling, and pushing, I finally got it assembled (maybe 10 minutes). Probably doesn't happen with every piece though, and eh, it's bamboo, so don't let that deter you!

The shelf is certainly substantial with redundancy in the construction. The extra material in the construction takes up a lot of room. The workmansip is less than great, pegs and holes for the shelves do not line up properly. Easy to set up and once up looks fairly good.

Flimsy and wobbly. I would have expected it to be more sturdy. I'll see how it "wears", but I would not buy it again.

I think that the quality if craftsmanship is good and the aesthetics are what I expected but it wasn't as large as I thought it would be. As a result, I may have to find another piece of furniture to meet my needs.

Tracks install with four wood screws, caddy can be easily removed from tracks and used to carry cleaning supplies to other rooms. Handle is easy to position: centered for more balanced carrying when removed from tracks, or to one side or the other if needed to clear undersink obstacles (e.g., drain pipes, waste disposer); I don't think the top tray is height-adjustable though. Not sure if black plastic tray inserts are designed to be removable for cleaning -top one can definitely be removed, not sure about lower one. I already have installed similar drawers from several vendors. I tend to prefer Rev-a-Shelf, but have been happy with all of the vendors. The benefits of this drawer are that not only does it fit where other drawers might not due to the sink plumbing, but it is absolutely incredibly easy to install, very sturdy, has heavy duty liners installed in the event you need to store items that could prove caustic in a spill, it has both a full lower and a half upper drawer, and, you can readily disconnect the entire system if you need to carry cleaners, etc. to other parts of the house.

Shipping was very fast, packaging was great and it arrived in perfect condition.

The only drawback is that it is shorter and narrower than my other slide out drawers, buy this was necessary to be able to install it where there is considerable plumbing against the back wall. These drawers so simplify storage and retrieval of items located in hard to reach areas of cabinets that I have installed various sizes and types in the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms. They are beautifully made, incredibly practical and well within the means of anyone with a drill, marker, screwdriver and a minimum of DIY interest. My wife and I heartily give them a 5 star, in spite of the cost.

We found cheaper versions in the hardware store, but they were not nearly so attractive. These are chromed stainless steel, glide easily on the rollers and a great low cost yet useful addition.
