1st review i have ever written ... ordered the catskill craftsman contemporary harvest table ... arrived pronto ... real heavy ... 141 lbs worth in 2 boxes ... laid out all the pieces ... wood was top notch ... all components accounted for ... instructions poorly written but that's the norm nowadays ... however ... the cheaply engineered assembly hardware was a complete & utter joke ... having been in the construction business for over 45 yrs ... & ... also ... after assembling countless furniture items from ikea, pottery barn, crate & barrel, etc ... i can tell you that this company cuts corners on its' hardware ... the only positive thing that i can tell you is that, fully assembled, it is visually stunning

BUT ... under NO circumstances ... should you, any of your houseguests, neighbors, friends or even house pets even think about leaning against or trying to chop on it ... let alone try to jiggle it if it needs to be moved for cleaning ... BELIEVE ME ... once "assembled," & i use that term lightly ... it is more wobbly, rickety, & unstable than Zsa Zsa Gabor on her one remaining leg without her wheelchair ... I'M SERIOUS ... imagine a massive 2' x 4' two-inch-thick butcher black perched precariously on top of the equivalent of your grandmother's old TV tray from the 50's that she still uses when she watches 'jeopardy' ... yes ... THAT bad !!!

no wonder the united states is slipping in the global order of things ... we can't even engineer a functional, simple, STURDY kitchen table ... did i return it? ... no ... why? ... because i'm a carpenter so i'm going to glue, wood dowel, anchor, brace, etc in order to make this thing function as it purports to be ... now, then ... who are you going to hire to re-engineer & rebuild this harvest kitchen table? ... factor in a carpenters fee to make this product stable when you add up the total cost of this item ... think about it before you get your credit out of your wallet so it can breath ... don't throw your money away on this engineering failure

This is a great butcher block island and came quickly and was easily put together. I conditioned the butcher block top as suggested and it is working out very well. My pots and pans are on the shelves and easily reachable. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a working island that doesn't crowd the kitchen.

just like other reviews, pre drilled holes didn't line-up, caster post needed adjustments to make them fit securely. But reading reviews before putting this item togeather made it a lot easier. Wasn't hard to do after having to drill some new holes.

First I received it 6 days early.. very happy there. I did have a little problem putting it together but my fault. I tighten the bastion post in to much and the set screw would go in but not correctly. By doing that it made the table unstable. So I took it a part and seen that it didn't go in far enough. so I screwed the bastion Post out just a little and this time the set screw went in all the way and made it very stable. I think that is what happened to the other person that that left a negative review... I really am happy with it...

Certain members of my family have claws and paws. They have a tendency to traverse the tallest wood fence. On a clear day with direct eye contact, the word "no" strikes terror in their hart and detours them from attempting extrication.

However, in their mind, no eye can penetrate to the rear fence covered with privets. The most agile body can not penetrate the hedgerow in time to prevent escape once you here the "escape or die" sound coming from some wild animal that you just thought was domesticated.

So with well-spaced brackets (one on each post), some screws and fishing line, places behind the privets, you level the playing field. They almost make it to the top of the fence and turn to you with a "what have you done?" look.

South Shore Savannah Collection Changing Table, Espresso

When our son was born we had a Jenny Lind changing table (search for ASIN B000FTD1HA, the oak color) that had been given to us fully assembled but unused by the original owners. It wasn't bad, but never impressed me as being very sturdy. Our son is a big kid (born 10 lbs 12.2oz!) and changing him sometimes turns into a wrestling match, until finally a few weeks ago the entire top shelf of the changing table collapsed! Wood split and splintered, no way to repair, utter disaster. Looked like the Titanic, after hitting the bottom of the Atlantic.

So, after a lot of research, visits to every store that carried anything that could even be adapted for use as a changing table, we finally found and settled on this particular one on Amazon. We needed something that could be used after he outgrew the need for a changing table, not to mention something sturdy enough to hold up to some wear and tear while he's still being changed on it. But most of all, we had a very tight budget to work with. Most dresser-type changing tables seem to run well north of $200, pretty well out of our limited reach. Granted, this one isn't quite a full dresser configuration, what with the pockets above the drawers, but it still seemed sturdy enough to fit the bill for today, and practical enough for his use when he gets older (we also have a full size separate dresser for his clothes).

As someone else pointed out, the packaging this is delivered in was pretty substantial and seemed well designed to protect it from having corners and ends crushed in shipping. And as someone else noted, there *are* a lot of parts in that box once you get it open. But the wooden parts are all numbered and marked, and the small parts (screws and nails and such) are pretty distinct and obvious in the instructions. The first few steps of assembly were a little time consuming finding various parts and pieces where I'd sorted them to, but after a little bit things started coming together nicely. I'm no expert at this stuff, but a little hammer and screwdriver work and some patience was all it took to follow the instructions to completion.

Fully assembled this is a very nice piece of furniture. It looks nice, the drawers (although small) track smoothly -unlike drawers for most dressers and such in this price rangeand the height is great for tallish folks like my wife and I. My only worry, and the only real reason I took off a star, is that there's a lot of particleboard here, which is worrisome for long-term durability. The top board seems to be solid wood though, and I'll post updates here if the situation changes.

Overall though, this is a nice looking, easy to build, and practical changing table. You may be able to find better tables out there, but if you have a limited budget this seems to be the best deal around for your dollars.

It's been over a year since we got this changing table, and our son is now into potty training so it isn't seeing nearly as much use as it was back then. It's still in great shape thoughthe drawers still track smooth and true, the particleboard hasn't split or shown any other signs of damage, and the paint is even still in good shape. Overall it's held up excellently, and if we have another kid I expect it will continue to serve us well. My one and only complaint is that those pockets between the drawers and the table top make for really good footholds for our son to climb up, but honestly our kid is part mountain goat anyways, so I think he'd find something to work with regardless. All in all, this is still an excellent buy and absolutely worth a score upgrade to 5 stars.

My wife and I picked this changing table out for the newest addition to our family. With the new baby coming I have been putting what seems like a million items together in the past couple of months so when I opened the package this changing table came in I was pretty disappointed at first because it seemed as though there were hundreds of parts. In reality there are a lot of parts however they are numbered properly and the instructions make putting this changing table together an easy task. Once put together I called my wife into the room and she was really excited. This item is what I would consider high quality for a piece of furniture ordered online. Obviously there are more expensive options that come put together however this changing table is well designed and offers a great amount of storage in what we consider very functional for a changing table.

One other item I would like to note is the packaging the changing table came in was perfect in the sense that it could have been dropped off the back of the delivery truck nuerous times without damaging the pieces of the changing table. Sometimes when ordering furniture online you will receive products with chips in the wood or missing parts but that is not the case with this product.

I would highly recommend this changing table to families looking for a changing table in this price range.

we bought the south shore savanah changing table because it was not expensive and fit into our apt. It was delivered promptly nicely packaged. I am not handy and I knew that this would take me a long time to build but when i opened the box and saw the amount of parts i flipped, to make matters worse the instructions were so hard to figure out. I ended up hiring a handyman and it took him 2 hours and cost me $50. But after all that it was worth it. The changing table is beautiful and very sturdy it looks like a $400 piece. If your looking for a great changing table at a great price this is your best bet. (just be aware its frustrating to build)

My son and daughter-in-law really like the table and it arrived just in time for the new baby. It is made out of particle board, which was surprising because I expected it to be made of wood. But it's very sturdy and the heavy weight makes it very stable. I'm very pleased with it.

Once it's assembled, it's awesome. Some other reviews said the table was not stable? Not true. If you screw in all the parts correctly, it's as solid as a rock. Yes there are a lot of parts, but what "assembly required" product doesn't? I don't think it's intended for amateurs though. You need to be at least bit handy. Definitely need patience and follow every step carefully. My assembly time was 1 hour and 45 minutes exactly. All in all, great price for a beautiful piece. Goes well with our baby room decor.

This is a great little kitchen hardwood cart. The price can't be beat for such high quality. I ordered this item and it arrived super fast, in excellent packaging and with the most complete instructions for assembling something that I have ever seen. Leisurely taking my time, the cart was very easily assembled in 1.5 hours... someone who was moving quickly could likely get it assembled in 30 45 minutes. Again, with the great instructions, I think even an untrained chimp would be able to easily assemble this cart :-)

The Cart is made of wood, which is a big plus. I bought the Cart to put in my kitchen to blend with a Oak Shelf Unit. It doesn't blend. The Cart has two different wood shades instead of all one color. It is also very rough. The finish should have been sanded to a smooth finish, but it is not. It's not what I expected.

Four stars for decent quality and moderately easy assembly. I spent a tad over one hour assembling the unit with only minor difficulty in interpreting the drawings. We store cookbooks in the cabinet and drawer, and have a large (ancient) microwave on top. The unit is solid, sturdy, and works very well for us. I consider it a good value for the price.

Rev-A-Shelf CPDR-2635 CPDR Series 26" - 35" Pull-Down Closet Rod,

This is very useful for short people like me and was well constructed. It, however, could be better and since it is not inexpensive, I would have thought the makers would have considered some obvious things. The instructions said that when in the down position the center support should be placed on the ground for extra support. This is not shown this way in the photo. Obviously, that is because the support cannot be extended that long. It would have needed to be an easily adjustable rod that could be lengthened when down and shortened when up so that it fits in the cabinet. Also, not the easiest thing to install. I had a contractor install it and it took a couple of attempts. I'm glad I didn't do it myself.

The product install took about 20 minutes. Note that some of the photos show the unit being installed on the back wall of the cabinet, those are misleading as the pneumatic arms are screwed into the sides of the cabinet. I also had to adjust the length of the pull rod (it was about 3" too long for my cabinet).

My wife loves the simplicity of the design and provides exactly what we need when unloading the dryer. I'm happy because it promotes getting clean clothes out of the Laundry Room and into the closets :-) Another bonus is that you can still use the cabinet to store tall items! Just leave room in the center for the pull rod.

This product is exactly as described. I thought it would be easier to pull down and push up. With the rod loaded it is very difficult for my 80 year old aunt in a wheelchair to work. I am in the process of replacing it with one that takes the load on springs or an electric motorized unit.

This hardware is great. I built an amour that is 8' tall in a 10'high wall room. Since it is not practical to have a closet rod almost 8' high. This solved the problem. You just pull it down and it pivots out and though you rod is a little under 8' when you pull it down it is around 5'. My wife loves it. It was a great investment for us, it's esthetically and functional home run.

Straightforward to put together but parts did not fit together well. One shelf has tiny, random drill holes in the front that have no purpose that I can see. The mantle was missing a screw hole, happily I have a drill and was able to remedy that. I needed it to re-drill another hole that was not straight.

Once together it is very pretty, but is wobbly and cannot be tightened any more. The screws are hex-head screws and the hex stripped while trying to get the shelves tight. The screws did not tighten deep in some holes to be able to use the wooden plug covers. I am going to try to take the screws out, purchase new screws and see if I can make this more sturdy. Sorry to say I bought two of these and cannot decide if it is worth putting the other together. They are not sturdy enough for the purpose that I bought them!

I already have installed similar drawers from several vendors. I tend to prefer Rev-a-Shelf, but have been happy with all of the vendors. The benefits of this drawer are that not only does it fit where other drawers might not due to the sink plumbing, but it is absolutely incredibly easy to install, very sturdy, has heavy duty liners installed in the event you need to store items that could prove caustic in a spill, it has both a full lower and a half upper drawer, and, you can readily disconnect the entire system if you need to carry cleaners, etc. to other parts of the house.

Shipping was very fast, packaging was great and it arrived in perfect condition.

The only drawback is that it is shorter and narrower than my other slide out drawers, buy this was necessary to be able to install it where there is considerable plumbing against the back wall. These drawers so simplify storage and retrieval of items located in hard to reach areas of cabinets that I have installed various sizes and types in the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms. They are beautifully made, incredibly practical and well within the means of anyone with a drill, marker, screwdriver and a minimum of DIY interest. My wife and I heartily give them a 5 star, in spite of the cost.

We found cheaper versions in the hardware store, but they were not nearly so attractive. These are chromed stainless steel, glide easily on the rollers and a great low cost yet useful addition.

I liked the first one so much, I bought another. It holds far more than the illustration depicts. Installation is a snap.

FIFO Can Tracker- Food Storage Canned Foods Organizer/Rotater/Dispenser: Kitchen, Cupboard, Pantry-

Just got two of these and set them up in my cellar.

Set up is quite easy, you just have to snap (force) the spacer pegs into the holes, then twist to secure. I had to use a wrench, as suggested in the instructions, to turn the pegs.

In the sample picture, you can see green cans on the left and right sections, and yellow in the center. The center yellow cans are separated by three shorter pegs. You can choose to put those in, or just use three of the longer pegs instead, which would give you three sections of larger (15 oz) cans. It comes with extra pegs so you can pick.

The cool thing is if your shelf is long enough, you can attach two units together so you just keep going after you build the first three sections (as shown in the picture) and add the next three on, with a section in between, instead of 3+3=6, you get 3+3+1 (in the middle) = 7. Each unit comes with six extra pegs, three short ones for the smaller section if you want it, and three extra to attach another whole unit to the side of the first.

Each section holds 16 or more cans, I don't know, I don't have that many cans of one type. I ended up putting a case (12 cans) in the top, which means they roll out the bottom, and then putting three or four other cans in the middle. The middle ones don't join the roll toward the bottom until there's about five of the bottom cans left.

The shelves are made of a strong sturdy plastic, and a smart design.

They don't hold the big soup cans (18-19 oz) just the regular 15 oz cans.

I purchased two units and joined them together. This gave me seven rows of storage for standard 15 Oz cans. Each row has three storage levels. Cans placed in the top level rotate to the bottom, first in first out. But in my unit, cans in the middle level just sit there indefinitely. To get them to move, you have to wait until the top to bottom rotation has gone down below the middle level and then you have to push the cans in the middle level to the back, one-at-a-time to make them feed out the bottom. This means you cannot keep adding cans to the top level until you have force fed the cans in the middle level.

In my units, automatic first in first out operation can only be achieved by not using the middle storage level which would be a waste of space and to a some extent, defeats the purpose for which I bought this can organizer

Although I am disappointed, I will use the ones I already purchased as they happen to fit almost perfectly in my pantry. But I will have to find or develop my own system of rotation instead of buying more of these can trackers for long term storage as I had planned.

This is sturdy, holds a lot of cans and works great. You do need fairly wide shelves as the measurements are 16 1/2" deep, 11 1/2" tall and 15" wide. I'd definitely recommend it.

I just assembled my can organizers and my pantry is looking good! The plastic is heavy-duty and there is no flimsy, wobbly feel at all. I can see everything, I have much more room, and nothing is going to waste. No more stacks of cans being knocked over in the back of the cabinet.

These organizers don't fit every can, but I cheated and put two, side by side without the dowels. This allowed me to put those big chunky soup type cans in a slot. Height was their limiting factor. When both racks are loaded, they heavy enough so that the two racks that aren't joined by dowels do not drift apart.

These racks will not fit tuna-type cans or wide cans.

I will definitely buy more of these organizers if I need them.
