The other reviewer gave this product one star because it costs more than buying direct from an iKea store. However, try buying it online from iKea and see the outrageous shipping costs. Buying from an online merchant costs a lot less than having it shipped from ikea. Personally, I am very happy someone has figured out a way to save me money while making a little for their trouble,

The ikea exedit shelving units are my favorite. I love the cubed look and the dark wood. It Is extremely functional for my needs and it is the reason it was worth the extra money to have it shipped here. Even with that extra cost, I find it cheaper than some of the local alternatives that I do not like nearly as much.

Putting it together takes a bit of time, but the effort is worth it.

It's annoying that when people are upset with the price of something, they give the actual product a lower review...

That being said, I happen to live close to an Ikea store and bought this there yesterday. Obviously, it was significantly cheaper than the price listed here, but this package was EXTREMELY heavy. Both amazon and Ikea have to charge a hefty fee for shipping these because of how heavy and huge they are to ship.

When we got the unit home, it took my husband about 40 minutes to put it together. The instructions are easy and the only difficult part about putting it together is that it uses lots of dowels instead of screws, so you have to line up everything exactly and use a little upper body strength to muscle the pieces together.

This shelf looks fantastic in our living room. I am so pleased with the purchase. I considered some cheaper units at big box stores, but I'm so glad I went with this one. The others were so thin and flimsy looking and had visible screws along the top. The Expedit unit looks so nice as a piece of furniture, and is substantial and not flimsy at all. We bought the black-brown color and placed it horizontally. We also bought 4 of the collapsible baskets that fit perfectly in the cubbies for my kid's toys and clutter. You would never know they use that area of the living room as a play room. When we clean up at the end of the day, no more toy clutter and our living room looks beautiful again! I'm sure once the kids are older, we can continue to use the shelf to display books and knick knacks. And I love that you can use it horizontally or vertically, too.

This shelf is great, very versatile, and looks very nice. I would recommend it to anyone looking for this cubby-type of storage. Obviously, it will be much cheaper for you if you can buy it from an Ikea store. But if you can't, it's still a great buy and much cheaper than other similar storage sold from high-end stores.

We bought this shelving unit after looking at several similar products at Lowes, Target and Walmart. What this unit has that others do not is a thicker outside frame that give it a more modern feel. It also looks more solid and expensive than other similar units. We have one 8-cube shelf with a few books and storage baskets in our living room, two more in my office that hold my professional literature, and we're about to buy another to go under a mounted flat-screen t.v.non our bedroom. I highly recommend this unit for its clean lines, functionality in terms of storage and modern style. Fabulous!

Great bookcase, it just what we were looking for. The problem was that it didn't come with dowels or screws. Having to go out and find and buy the hardware for this made it not worth it but returning it didn't really seem like a good option either, with having to repack all the boards. Waiting for them to send the hardware kit meant dealing with a bookcase kit on the floor in the middle of the living room. It was a total pain.

Leick 89046 Riley Holliday Rustic Oak 46 in. TV Console

I own 3 of the matching tables in this design by Leick. Wanted to purchase the TV stand too, however, this unit is not all ash hardwood with oak veneers. Leick states that the sides and the center of the top are particle board with oak veneer. The tables aren't like that and I'm not sure why they had to change this to partial particle board, but it's not something I'll be likely to buy now.

I have eight sets of these around, and they are great. No need to put them together...just unfold and lock. They are very strong, and move anywhere...just fold back up...move...and unfold where needed.

I will be using these shelves @ Art/Craft shows and believe them to be perfect! I've used 1 to make a "light house" to take pictures!!

They do set up in 20 seconds and 40 #'s is doable. Would like it if there was a way to add about 3-4"...maybe a riser similar to ones they use for beds?

Whitmor 6060-3436 Supreme Small 3-Tier Shelving, Chrome

This is a surprisingly sturdy little shelf. Pretty easy to assemble also only takes 5-10min. Shelves are adjustable (all three can be placed anywhere along the length of the poles), and the small feet at the bottom are also adjustable to ensure proper leveling. Unfortunately (echoing what another reviewer said) these are not designed to be stackable (too bad because I really would have liked that feature too).

Overall I'm happy with this shelf and my purchase, HOWEVER potential buyers should note that an essentially identical set of shelves is available at both major DIY chains (HD and Lowe's), at literally half the price (Amazon will probably delete the figures, but they were $20 at HD and Lowe's vs $40 at Amazon). I also bought the similar unit from HD, which has literally exactly the same design (there are only very minute differences), is rated/described as "commercial" (however that is defined) and is rated slightly higher on weight capacity (250 vs 200 lbs per shelf). I found the HD unit to be just slightly easier to assemble, and in my opinion they are equally sturdy and stable. Had I known these were available at HD/Lowe's at half the price, I would have just purchased them there as I have found them identical in terms of functionality.

For all of you who need only 3 shelves, this is a sturdy little shelf, and I'd buy it again.

For the rest of you: I bought a few of these for my kitchen, hoping to be able to stack them (and make a taller rack that fits perfectly in a corner space I needed to use). Whitmor customer service was spectacular in the way that they shipped me 8 couplings (for between the indivual pieces--i wanted a total of 3 sets = 9 shelves) that arrived within 2 days of me calling.

What didn't work: Apparently customer service didn't know that this was actually impossible, as both ends of each rod are not threaded. I could have, and should have, checked, but I had a set from another manufacturer and assumed this would be the same. With careful planning of the use of the little black pieces that hold each shelf, I managed to do what I wanted, but it would have been better to have the threaded coupling in there for insurance. Whitmor--please change your design.

The size and picture of the item to determine if if was the same as the ones I already own was very important. This shelving is very versatile as it is adjustable and easy to install. Also easy tear down for moving or storage purposes. Excellent item for small spaces.

I needed something for extra storage in my small kitchen and this little stand works very well. The "see through" stand seems to take up less room than it actually does and yet holds a lot of things. The directions could be a little better but that's often the case and I figured them out and put it together quickly. I am very pleased with the quality.

Looked all over internet and locally to find style glass shelving we've been using for years. Couldn't find it anywhere but this shelf came very close and looks very good with the rest of them. The wood is too soft, and need to drill hole (should be pre-drilled for easy DYI). We spent too much time make measurements and drill holes.

These were just like the ones from the Closet System Kit that I purchased. I am not sure what holes the other reviewer had to drill? They come pre-drilled with 3" long screws and screw hole caps. I just set the top/front end under the shelf I was adding the support to and then put the screw into the pre-drilled hole to mark the location on the wall. Then I removed the bracket and installed the self-drilling drywall anchor where the screw tip mark was. Lastly I re-positioned the angled bracket and installed the screw. I did have to get a 3" long #2 philips bit for my drill because the screw head will end up recessed into the predrilled hole by a couple of inches. A 2" long bit will probably work just fine too. The screw cap finished it off to conceal the screw. Everything took 5 minutes max per bracket. 2 came in the pack.

Bought 2 of these shelves. Some of the screws were crooked, the parts don't line upand the whole shelf is very unstable. Too bad we had to drill all the holes in the wall before we discovered the problems. Will go to the hardware store to procure parts to stabilize since we don't want to deal with repainting/repairing the wall and finding something to replace them. Boo.

The shelf is solid and looks good but the holes for the screws were not right and after drilling huge.holes in my wall I'm left with a flimsy shelf I'm afraid might fall right of the wall.

I like the idea of a floating shelf, but this one was difficult to get up right. I use it to hold the center speaker under my wall-mounted tv; I wanted to minimize the gap between the top of the speaker and the bottom of the tv. After carefully measuring and mounting the shelf I found that the mount angles up considerably, I guess to sort of pre-stress it. I had to take it down and lower it to provide sufficient clearance. The drywall anchors they give you are worse than useless; almost all of them pushed right through. Throw them away and get the kind that screw into the drywall. In the end it all worked out ok but putting it up was a lot more trouble than I expected.

The shelf is not in great shape and you can see dents that were finished over. Also, the support that must be attached to the wall is too small for the shelf. It is the same size as the one for the 24" shelf. I had to drill new holes in it and attached the support to a bean to keep the shelf at a 90 degree angle to the wall.

Buy new anchors, I used 75 pound rated plastic achors you can buy at your local hardware store. I used 5 of them on each shelf. Was easy to mount and was sturdy, not wobbly. I bought 2 of the 48 inch and 1 of the 36 inch for my basement living room. I posted a pic, they hold many items well. It came well packaged and there were no dents or dings either...

There was a hug dent on the front face of the shelf when we received it. We decided to cover it up with ribbon so we wouldn't have to deal with returning it. The bracketing was very weak for a relatively heavy floating shelf so we had to purchase L-brackets to support it. I paid approximately $13 for the shelf and another $12 for shipping. I would have been okay with just the cost of the shelf for what we received but $25 for the terrible shelf was a waste.

Umbra Conceal L-Shaped Floating Bookshelf

My wife saw these "floating" bookshelves, and had to have a set. I bought her a couple different ones, including this one, for around the house. We put it in the kitchen, and it looks great with some of our lighter cookbooks on it. I would want to be a little careful about putting too much weight on it, but it has held up great so far. I'd say we have about 10-15 pounds of books on it.

This is a modern take on book shelf storage. This is unusual in its appearance, I don't think is is any better in terms of practicality but it has a "wow" factor to folks who have never seen it before. A bit pricey but well made and the instructions are clear and overall it's easy even for a klutz like me to assemble.

I bought one for a small apartment kitchen. It works just great in a 6" gap between fridge and counter, exactly like the photo in the offering. It quickly snapped together in three minutes. I use it to store my cooking oils, sauces, and spices, and I can quickly see what's on hand.

My chief criticism is the price. The product is very light plastic and just sturdy enough. I would expect to pay $14.99 $19.99 for similar.

If I could cover the front of this with a cabinet cover panel (readily available for almost any cabinet series), I would use this even in a fancy gourmet kitchen, but the curved front panel and thin plastic do not readily permit any customization.

We remodeled our kitchen and I opted for a lower storage cabinet with drawers instead of a dishwasher. This left a 6.5" space which was great for the stepladder and a few trays but looked messy. This little pantry fits perfectly in that little space. Now I can fit cereal boxes which are generally too tall for my cupboards, wine bottles and other stuff. I am delighted that it also holds the 18, 22 and 24 count boxes of Keurig K-cups perfectly which is great because they take up sooooo much room. Please note that the stuff on the top shelf will be visible because the way it is designed leaves approximately 6 inches of open space at the top. (Put the pretty things there!) The bottom shelf has the front and back trays with the sides the same height, both about 3 inches. The middle and top shelf have one side about 3 inches and the other about 1.5 inches. The bottom shelf has vents on both sides and the bottom while the upper 2 sheves have vents only on the bottom with solid sides. You could put it together with the bottom shelf on the top if you needed extra drawer space, which I considered for big kitchen tools and pot holders. The shelves and sides are interchangeable and the wheel sets will fit in any of the shelves. The unit goes together in about 2 minutes, no tools or screws BONUS!!! It seems very sturdy too. I had it out of the box and filled in about 5 minutes. Now my coutnter tops are clear. Yay! One more thing, I didn't have a tape measure handy, so my measurements were eyeballed and approximate.

I picked this up to go in a tiny little gap between the sink & wall in our bathroom. Since we have no linen closet, storage space is premium & this was the ONLY slide-out shelving I could find that was narrow enough to fit the space I have.

I was a little worried that it might not be sturdy enough to hold much or would look cheap, but it's perfect. While it does look like plastic, (which it is) it doesn't look CHEAP just "utilitarian." I'm also looking forward to the fact that the plastic will clean up easily with any eventual toothpaste-wars my teens might decide to wage, without warping or staining. Most importantly though, it doesn't wobble at all when slid in & out, and is currently holding a half-dozen cleaning supplies, a small mountain of shampoos & body-washes, and the mouthwash & toothbrush-recharger that had currently been cluttering the sink. I am MORE than impressed with how much this little shelf can hold!

While this definitely has the potential to be wobbly if used as a stand-alone unit because of it's height-to-width ratio, it is VERY sturdy when slid between two solid surfaces! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting something to fill a gap!

I was very disappointed with this product. I have been looking at this storage tower for months. I would put it in my cart and take it out and put it back, then save for later and then put back in the cart etc. I wasn't sure if I should purchase it or not. Finally my husband said "just buy it already" so I did. I was very excited to receive it, but when it arrived I was shocked at how small the box was. I asked my husband to put it together and when he finished and brought it to me I replied, "where is the rest of it?"

Now this might be my mistake for not reading the information close enough, but I honestly thought that this item would be taller and longer. I will only be able to put MAYBE half of what I planned on it. Now like I said this might be my fault and normally I would rate this a 4/5 for the fact that it is so small, but this item is receiving a 2/5 from me due to quality.

The tower is made of a flimsy hard plastic that is snapped together. It is supposed to roll smoothly in and out of the location you put it but does not. First when I tried to pull it out the top end cap came off. Then after fixing that I pulled it out again and the back bottom wheels fell off, and this was before putting anything on the cart. It is really more frustrating than anything, but for the amount I paid I would have at least expected it to stay together. I understand the idea of "you get what you pay for", so for $29 I didn't expect anything too fancy, but I did expect something that wouldn't break before even putting my stuff on it. It is really too much of an inconvenience for me to ship this back, and who knows maybe once I start using it I will love it, but I don't think that will be the case.

My advice to anyone trying to decide if they want this cart is beware. If you really need storage space, spend the extra money and buy the original Thin Man Pantry which will be of much better quality.

This is a great idea for using that space between the refrigerator and wall/ cabinet/ stove. It slides back far enough to allow opening of the door, yet slides out to give access to the items stored.

The cart is made out of Polypropylene, a firm yet flexible plastic. This means that you will have trouble with buckling over time if you attempt to store heavy items like liquids. However the advantage of this is I am able to easily drill a few holes and attach a pegboard to hold more utensils and a few baskets for spices.

What I found missing in this description was the dimensions. I measured this at 22 inches wide, 25 inches tall and 5 inches deep. As an interesting addition, you can buy more then one and make this a taller, 50 inches, unit to hold spices, foil bag mixes, and wrap boxes.

Sanus Systems VF5023-B1 Dual Column Wall-Mounted Furniture Component with 3 Shelves

After having a huge projection television in our family room, we were looking for a super clean look that would allow us to hide all of the necessary wires from view and enable simple cleaning around the audio/ video products without having to play musical chairs with our furniture.

Prior to buying anything, I usually perform a lot of research online, reading reviews from both the Pros and more importantly, people like me that buy the products to use themselves.

While shopping online, we had selected this 6 foot long mostly glass TV stand that looked pretty nice. Although we had just ordered a 52" LCD that we intended to hang on the wall, we felt as though we were still burdened with this large piece of furniture to place our audio products on and I was not in a financial position to have professionally installed wall and/or ceiling speakers. I had selected this product that was manufactured by Sanus Systems. Prior to ordering, I went to the Sanus website to check one more time. This is when I noticed a new product called Wall-Mounted Vertical Series. This was exactly what we had been looking for but thought it had not yet been invented.

We bought the Sanus Systems VF-5023 three shelf wall system. This unit is perfect. The person that designed this is a genius. Not only does it look great, allow plenty of room around the unit to clean, keeps all wires completely hidden from view, holds 75lbs per shelf securely and offers two back-ground looks between black glass and a Cherry wood back ground, both of which are beautiful. We absolutely love this shelf system for our components. Since we hung our new 52" LCD above this rack, everything looks as though it was designed for our home.

Now the bad news! The instructions included absolutely suck. They offer cheaply drawn pictures and no written instructions, which leave you wondering "What the heck" and "How on earth am I suppose to assemble this". But have no fear! This rack system is so great and beautiful; I give it a full 5 Stars even with the lousy instructions. The main thing to remember when putting it together is this; 1) assemble the entire outer portion of the rack before you attempt to hang the two super strong brackets that hold everything on the wall, and 2) pick your background (Black Glass or Cherry Wood) before you install the actual shelves and start putting your components on them and slide the decided upon background pieces in place, allowing them to slide down and rest on the floor. Otherwise you'll be undoing everything you did after you realize you can't fit the backgrounds in after your components are in place.

Summary: This hanging shelf unit really is worth the trouble it takes to install using such bad instructions. Don't allow my installation comments to discourage you from buying it, because you'll love it once installed. 5-Stars Plus!!! You might say a few choice words while trying to figure out where to place to brackets to hang this unit. Check this unit out before buying any other type of TV stand/ AV component shelf.

Additional Info: In order to keep all of the wires hidden from view, I installed an additional electrical outlet behind where the actual wall unit was going to be hung. This was to enable plugging in the Power Surge unit that would be hidden behind the wall unit because I didn't want this big heavy cord showing below my fancy new wall unit.

I have to agree with the others. The instructions are very confusing, and you have to study them to figure out what you are doing when. It actually does go together fairly simply, but the initial illustrations leave you confused as to what you are doing. The text in the instruction manual is limited to caution, and not so much step-by-step, what you are supposed to do.

Aside from the instructions, the unit itself is very nice. The quality of the material is very good. The satin finish on the metal blends in beautiful with my components and TV. I really like the tinted glass shelves, the curved shelving supports, and you get to choose if you want the backing as glass or a faux-wood finish. I chose the glass. It looks classy.

The cable organizing gives you a lot of room. I didn't quite realize how much room I would have to organize cables when I ordered it. You can place a power strip behind the back panels, so you completely hide all your power cords. I was actually fortunate enough that the wall outlet was below my TV, and this covered the wall outlet, so you don't even see that. There is even enough room that the huge power brick from my Xbox 360 fits behind the panels. I have one of the old 360's, so it is a rather large power unit. I don't know if the new style 360's have the same one, but there is room for it, in any case.

The only problem I ran into was one of the set screws that locks the shelf supports in place shattered on me. The material for the set screw is very hard. I tried removing it with an screw extractor, and the bit wouldn't even drill into the screw. That left top shelf permanently locked in place, so if I don't like where it is, I'm a little SOL. I called up SANUS about this, and they are sending me out a new side rail, new set screws, and a new bracket free of charge. Their instructions may suck, but their customer support is top notch. They are even in the US, with native speakers (not Inida "Native speakers"). They were a pleasure to speak with.

I'm actually going to recommend the two shelf model to my girl friend for her new apartment. She doesn't have a need for as much as I do, so it will fit her just fine. I have a feeling I'll be putting another together soon.

Ok so the product is fine. Wider than most I had seen.

The instructions are horrible. Not bragging but I have worked on cars my entire life and have built houses and worked on many different technical projects. My father in-law was a Master Sargent in the Motor pool in the Air Force. Together it took us 3.5 hours to put this thing together.

There are 20 pages of instructions and 17 languages of instructions but not one of the paragraphs tells you how to put the thing together. There are pictures but no words. You don't know which plate to put on the wall first. The pictures actually show you how to put the mount for the shelves together backwards then you hang it on the wall but it doesn't tell you that in one single place you just have to figure it out. You don't put the bottom plate on the wall until the top plate and assembly parts are together then you screw it in the wall after. The actual shelves are held up by tiny 1/8 inch set screws that are hex, which in itself is not bad. However, while tightening the set screws half of them shattered while installing. Oh and they were supposed to hook into the brackets while in the groves but the groove wasn't deep enough to work so you have to use a rubber mallet to push "help" them into place.

Now that it is finished it does look good on the wall. I gave it one star because it is really difficult to put together. Well written instructions and it would be fine but buyer beware. I had read some issues with the instructions by other users but they were not joking. You need to be extremely handy to do put this thing together.

I have four 65" TV'S AND 3 of THESE WALL SHELF MOUNTS. All the other 'wall shelf' units on the market mount onto 1 stud, or 2. This BABY CAN GO ONTO 3 Studs If Needed, as I USED 3. I wrote some personal tips for those of you needing help on mounting, as the instructions can leave some 'openness' (also due to it's adjustment play).

The directions show you how to backwardly put the unit together, but they are important and substantially better than none at all.. i followed them w/ somewhat ease and success. Most people on Amazon showed pictures of mounting the unit way below the tv.. allowing for a wall gap to be seen between the Sanus and the Bottom of the TV. I rather BUTTED the wall shelf directl to the bottom of my TV.. it looks cool this way, like the TV and Wall shelf are all one piece. Also, this enabled me to put the cables from the TV right into this wall shelf without seeing wires come from the TV.

If you do it this way, make sure your TV is tilted all the way down during the wall shelf installation... so that it's at it's lowest point when you butt the sanus frame up to it during installation. The other way people did theirs is to drill a hole behind the TV to drop the power and hdmi cable down.. and into the wall shelf area in a secondary hole (I avoided this). Either way, this unit is Sleek, and Rare Looking... it can hide an xbox power box, a surge protector, remote outlet plugs, and more.

Read the directions in pre-assembling this unit... you basically put your TV up on the wall first, then frame w/ bluepainters tape (or a pencil) WHERE YOU WANT THE WALL SHELF TO BE ON THE WALL, according to the measurements listed in paperwork. ALSO, find the wall studs and MARK THE CENTERS OF THEM where the Sanus shelf is going to attach to before anything. Use a stud finder. I also pierce the wall stud areas with nails to identify the exact 1.5" width of each 2by4, and putty the search holes.

Then, you put the entire Sanus FRAME ONLY together per the instruction manual (I did mine on top of my king sized bed) w/ out the shelves and glass pieces. The next step is that you want to have the wall mount bracket attached to the assembled frame, but your only going to be working on the top wall mount bracket FIRST (and both will be loose in it and can fall out if tipped in the air). There are 2 screw locks Sanus gives you for the bottom wall bracket w/ all completed, but you want to borrow those for now on the TOP bracket, and screw them all the way into the top bracket to help hold it to the frame. NOW... hold the entire frame up on the wall exactly where you want it (it's heavy, maybe 60lbs) and mark w/ a pencil (only top wall mount) the mounting holes of the top bracket that align according to the pencil markings that are on your wall that you made earlier for the stud centers.

Put the frame back on your bed or floor. You should see your markings on the wall. Remove the top wall mount bracket from the sanus frame... and now put that 1st TOP wall bracket permanently all alone on your wall, making sure it is on your markings, and that it is also level w/ your TV once more. But, if you measured everything up till now, it should be right on. (I chose to BUTT my sanus wall shelf up to the bottom of the TV to use the first shelf for a center speaker (martin logan motion 8).

Now that you have the top wall mount permanently on the wall... put the assembled frame onto the wall by now hanging it on that top permanent wall bracket.

THIS IS a TRICKY PART... Now, while the entire sanus frame is on your wall hanging on your permanent TOP wall bracket... mark your holes for the bottom wall plate (make sure they align with your pencil markings that identify the stud centers), BUT MAKE SURE TO LIFT THE BOTTOM PLATE SLIGHTLY UPWARD ABOUT AN 1/8 OF AN INCH SO THAT THE FRAME RESTS ON THE TWO BRACKET 'LIPS' AND IT BUTTS UP TO THE FRAME (BECAUSE OF THE PLAY INVOLVED... the manual misses this point of precision). You can now drill the holes for the bottom plate w/ the unit in place.

Now, you can put the back glass pieces in (they actually can pop in sideways, and DO NOT NEED TO SLIDE IN FROM THE TOP OR BOTTOM.. (EXCELLENT PLAY), and use the two screw nobs on the bottom of the sanus frame to now permanently lock it onto the wall. INSTALL YOUR WIRES, and then put the shelves in w/ a long level across them (heights are to your adjustability)... Your DONE.

SIDE NOTE: The sanus frame has to be lifted about a 1/2" up over the wall bracket lips to rest on them... if i tilt the 65" Plasma TV upward to the ceiling.... I CAN ENTIRELY REMOVE THE SANUS SHELF IF NEEDED TO WHILE THE TV IS ON THE WALL, EVEN THOUGH THE TV BUTTS UP TO THE SHELF DURING TV Flat, or down POSITIONING. The Sanus shelf just has superb built in play in it's lucky design.

Once I got a good look at the almost "wordless" installation instructions (pictures only) I was a little intimidated. But, once you begin putting together the main framing, everything else pretty much falls in place. I've included a few pictures of the final outcome. There are no wires showing because I drilled a two inch hole in the drywall behind the TV, and another 2 inch hole behind the Sanus shelf system. You will want to put together the main framework first, before attaching the upper wall mount. This will give you a better idea of how high to place the 1st (upper) wall mount. The lower wall mount fits in the bottom of the framework and aligns the mount to the wall before screwing it in. You will need to fasten the wall mount bolts to studs because this system is pretty heavy. The good thing is, once you mount the framework to the upper wall mount, you can then slide the framework up to 4 inches to the right or left. This unit makes for a very clean look and has enough space between the glass covers and the drywall to fit a surge protector and all of the wires. I'm very happy with the results and have absolutely no regrets.

International Concepts SH-4830M 4 Tier Mission Shelf Unit, Unfinished

Wonderful addition to our basement decor. We have mission style cases and this one is as beautiful and useful as the three already in place. Recommend this bookcase for it's great looks and easy assembly; price was reasonable also.

This wood 4 shelf unit is a good value for the amount of money it cost, and I would probably buy it again.

But here are some thing's I wish I knew before making my purchase decision:

-The wood components are actually wood remnants that have been glued together to make the correct size pieces. It wood have been better if solid pieces of wood had been cut to size.

-The seams are noticeable, so if you decide to stain instead of paint, you will see the seams.

-Gluing the bottom shelf board to the frame is no easy task, you have gravity working against you. Luckily I had four 4-inch clamps so I could turn the bookcase up-side-down and glue clamp the shelf in place, then drive the 6 screws in. Some reviewers complained that the unit wobbles, and I could see why if extra steps are not taken.

My kit had not one extra screw or bolt. So if you strip the head out of a screw or drop it and lose it, you will be off to the hardware store.

A lot of negative, but this unit is not perfect and you should know what you are getting yourself into. Still a good value for the amount it cost.

The workmanship of the shelf is good. Cuts looked precise and square. The assembly instructions were clear. All parts were present, and the holes aligned well. However, the wood screws were very poor quality. I sheered a couple of them off just screwing them into the shelf. Although the shelf supports (aprons) are pre-drilled, the attaching top and bottom shelf are not. I recommend purchasing the required 12 wood screws from a local hardware store for a solid assembly.

Black Toile Contact Paper 9 ft by 18 in

I bought this drawer liner to go in an antique dresser I had painted. The dresser is ivory and I wanted something a little "shabby chic" looking for inside the drawers. This is perfect. The liner is a perfect light black print on an off white background. It is not bright white but a off white like a pale ivory so if you are looing for a stark white background this is not what you are looking for. It looks great and I am very pleased. ALso very easy to install in drawersnot too sticky.

I bought three rolls of this to line some heavily used shelves in my cupboard. The design is very pretty and feminine. The had a very light vinyl odor when unpacked, but that dissipated almost immediately. There is not a trace of it. The liner is very easy to cut and there are lines on the back side to help you cut a straight line. It sticks very well and is easy to remove also. I had some trouble sticking it on correctly to the shelves and had to remove it four times. But it the end its holding really well.

My wife bought this to "refinish" a drawer cabinet. I told her it would never work. Well, I was wrong, it worked perfectly, and its stuck on there real good. It's held up for at least 6 months so far without any problems.

Let's be real: Putting in contact paper sucks, but you're usually doing it because you live in an apartment. Who knows what previous tenants were doing to those cabinets? '_'

For the most part, this contact paper is VERY forgiving. I was a little OCD about getting my corners and lines straight, and I peeled it off and re-stuck it about 5 times without it loosing any stickiness.

Also, the pattern is nice. I wish I were taller so that I could see it in my cabinets...

Basically, this contact paper was as good or better than any contact paper I've used before so, five stars.
